Celtics All-Access | Jaylen Brown & Kristaps Porzingis tour Atlanta, Round One vs. Miami Heat & more

After producing the 4th-most wins in a single season in franchise history, we’ve secured our first four wins of the postseason after taking down the Miami Heat in five games. But that’s just part of the story.

In this episode, we look back on many special moments over the final two months of the season, including the historic Sunday in March when we put together the largest halftime lead in franchise history over the Golden State Warriors.

During a week-long stop in Atlanta during April, Jaylen Brown took Kristaps Porzingis on a tour of his hometown city and introduced him to American Deli, a favorite of JB’s, as well as Wheeler High School, where Jaylen is celebrated to this day for leading his team to a state championship. Derrick White returned to NBA TV studios and joined the live broadcast to talk about his career-best season and the success of our group.

Other highlights include a perfectly crafted Luke Kornet monologue on the golf course in Phoenix, Jrue Holiday receiving his Team USA Basketball jersey and practice week before the playoffs.

over there just a little hole in the wall place but Atlanta is known for like their wings so like my my goal I’m going to get you and order you a nice lemon pepper hot lemon [Music] pepper this my man dotted by domination throughout the postseason will begin with a 20-point win the final score in game one Boston 114 Miami 94 that little fire right there is kind of what we need I’d rather that situation the last you know 8 minutes of the game than just easily winning by 30 it keeps us with the sense of humility and a chip on our shoulder understanding we know we can do better and we have to fight for that balance we play damn good basketball for about 40 minutes we got to know that we could be even better and we know the rest of’s success it’s mental toughness this IPL being a tougher team we won the shot margin so they will be better we got to understand what we did well and we can be better all right that’s a great great job off a good shot here you go together one 2 3 [Music] together right um I’ll [Music] Miami goes into Boston win by 10 as they set a franchise record for threes they made 23 threes did the Boston Celtics fall into the Diabolical Eric spoler trap you know this is one of them opportunities you had to go up 20 now Miami feels like it’s a series Dre holiday entry pass deflected right back to him so he will attack L but up for p zingis he throws it down with two hands how many times do we see that in game two porzingis it wants to be active today and they are knocking down a bunch of Threes absolutely and they wanted to run more and here they go everything Joe Missoula wanted we played tougher we dictated the physicality and the tempo of the game and it’s the simple things uh that you have to do under a higher level of uh stress higher level of adversity so I thought our guys did a great job of dictating that today key to it is can we dictate Tempo when physical right and then I thought we played together I thought everybody stepped up a big time place right that guy started everybody make big time play got keep that here we go together one two three the series has dragged out for you know you have two days in between each game a little bit unusual um what have the last couple of days looked like for you just wanting to bounce back from this and how different does it feel to play on the road versus at home um no difference it’s just you know obviously you know playing in front of your home crowd is it gives you another level of energy Etc but at the end of the day it’s basketball um so um no difference but looking forward to you know playing on S uh on Monday um less time in between get a rhythm I feel like we’re still getting it going I think we still got you know another Gear to to kick into so I’m looking have taken their talents to South Beach and are going to leave with another win their sixth consecutive win in this building fourth in the postseason and they taken the commanding three games to one lead the final score in game four Boston 102 Miami [Music] 88 what we can’t do is go back home and think it’s going to be easy and and take out spit off the gas we’ve been the more physical the more tough the more together team through four games the easiest thing to do when we get off that plane is relax and think we’re just going to do it at home right whatever it takes it takes what it takes it doesn’t matter that was the real tough today as a team we got to do it again and again and again and again all right soon as we break this huddle that’s the most important thing it takes what it made up that we was going to play Miami you know maybe last year playing against Atlanta we might have relaxed a little bit but knowing the history with Miami and how you know hard they play how well coach they are that um you know for a first round match up regardless of the seed that we were going to have to you know be ready to play be ready to fight let’s get pass through holiday left corner three got it this is not going to be pretty it’s a blood bath it’s the fourth time in 5 years that the Celtics and the Miami Heat had met in the playoffs but none of them were anything like this a dominant 82 two Game season historic levels from the Boston Celtics has carried over into the first round of the playoffs in a five game series they eliminate the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics are the first team on to round two in the Eastern Conference sir round one done yeah on to the next one the theme for this playoff is toughness and physicality like the tactics will take care of itself we’ been doing that all year but when we’re the tougher team we’re the hungrier team team uh we’re a different team we got to stay that way that’s the theme throughout rebounding and toughness and
