reunions set for 2024 we talked about the har ball Bowl that’s Monday night week 12 John is two and0 versus Jim they met once before in the regular season and as you know they met in Super Bowl 47 Kirk Cousins goes back to Minnesota week 14 my first thought was what time a day 1:00 Eastern not prime time oh it’s not prime time but hey but hey by week 14 will he even be the quarterback yeah I knew going to say that the injury thing well it’s been one of the dominant stories in the NFL for the last three weeks is it going to be Michael penck Jr by week 14 that’s when I would have put you know they they may have already had the schedule roughed out before the draft and already had that game there but that’s one that I would look at and say maybe we should move it earlier if we wanted to be Kirk Cousins actually playing the Vikings because by then by December you never know who’s going to be under center for the Falcons well they can’t they can’t do it all uh either way we got it on the schedule that that’s the positive thing and you know yeah hopefully hopefully it’ll be one where Atlanta and Minnesota are both competitive and you know it’s fun to watch but certainly would think that means a little extra something to Kirk Cousins without without a doubt and you know of course Minnesota’s going to want to show that they made the right move with the drafting the Young quarterback and moving on so I’m I’m I’m excited for that I am I do think it’ll be Kirk Cousins I do I but but again I know it’s a it’s a big question this year early on week two assuming that Russell Wilson who has the pole position for the starting job in Pittsburgh holds it through week two he will go back to Denver as quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers to take on Shawn pyton and the Broncos that’s a 4:25 p.m. Eastern kickoff on CBS that will be something and the Steelers and Broncos have a long history they’ve had playoff games it’s just it’s a classic matchup I hope the Broncos of that um teen different uniform combinations Nike has giv us this year thanks for nothing Nike hopefully it’ll be the classic bronos look for that game as the Broncos and Shawn pton welcome Russell Wilson back to town yeah I mean you know never easy playing in Denver you know Shawn Payton’s going to want to make a point there and go wait I’m not going to let the guy that I wasted all this salary cap on and moved on from and had a you know waste all this time talking about it and blah blah blah I don’t want him to come in here and win that game like I know Shawn Peyton he’s chippy he’s certainly not going to want that right definitely not it’ be interesting though he’s going to be playing a rookie quarterback by all du accounts and we know Pittsburgh right defense ugly game hey Russell just make a few plays in the end and pull it out for us they’re going to be comfortable with Russell Wilson’s style of play I think and that’s and and as we talked about with Arthur Smith you know the old Atlanta Falcons head coach going up there I think it’s the kind of style of football they’re going to want to play anyways grind it out run the ball beat you up physically Russell play action pass like the old days with the Seattle Seahawks get away from the line of scrimmage throw it deep down the field to Pickins and Company uh but yeah we’ll be watching that because that is going to be personal Russell Wilson is nice as a human being he is he’s going to even want to be pissed off on that day about Shawn pyton sorry London and Shawn pton will be welcome back to New Orleans week seven Thursday night I don’t know that they boo him it’s not like he went to play for a division rival or even a conference team and he did deliver the only Super Bowl appearance or victory that the Saints have ever had I I doubt I don’t think so I mean it’s not like it’s going to be heroes welcome like Drew Breeze when he was there working that Thanksgiving night game the year after he retired but I don’t think you’re going to have the same kind of welcome that you know saquon’s going to get when he comes back to New York as a member of the Eagles no know I I mean you know one yeah Shawn Peyton I mean he put the the Saints on the map he solidified who they were he’s the Great coach in the history of the organization that’s not even close right what he did with it I I can’t imagine them booing him he did nothing wrong except make that team great now I mean at the end hey did he try to kind of finagle his way to go to Miami sure but I mean come on that’s just world in the NFL uh I can’t imagine them being disappointed now the other one you’re talking about right with saquin going to New York in week seven for whatever reason I don’t know the giant fans are all over them let’s say shouldn’t be but that yes that’s going to get a volatile reaction to your point I I do think he’s going to get booed mercilessly that day even though I think the giant fans will be in the wrong to do that mercilessly or mercely yeah you know we’re close you got the idea give or take a syllable we got it covered I don’t understand that one though the saquon one well because he went to a division rival and the the fans align with the owner the fans align with the launch and it doesn’t matter that the Giants had four years to sign him to a long-term deal it doesn’t matter that the Eagles offered him more money that the Giants didn’t franchise tag him a second time when they could have none of that matters all that matters is he used to be with us and now he’s against us and the Nuance is lost and it’s not really Nuance it’s a lot of obvious fact but it’s lost on the simple reality this guy used to be in blue and now he’s in green so we hate him and we hate him even more than a guy who was never in blue because he used to be in blue hey you know I love the Giants but this is one where I won’t be mad if Squan runs for a long touchdown and gives everybody in Jersey the Jersey state bird as he’s playing for the birds of across the border in Pennsylvania I won’t be mad I I give him the green light go ahead give them a taste of their own medicine saquan give it back to him a little bit but yeah it adds to that rival WEA it’s a big year for the Giants really big year it and and we know they got to bounce back and of course it’s a big year for the Eagles they’re too talented to be what they did last year we haven’t even talked about them and they have the best roster on football and in football and I think you know that speaks to the collapse they had at the end of the last year to where they’ve kind of flown off the radar for lack of a better way to say that uh I think in the big picture of things for some reason in the National media and they shouldn’t because they’re going to be right in the mix of things again I think even if they’d cut saquon Barkley and he signed for the Eagles they’d still be mad I you know I think like giant cut your dad or traded your dad to the eagles they would turn because it’s the Eagles it doesn’t matter the circumstances don’t matter all that matters is the result he’s an eagle and they hate him and they hate him
