opener the ners and the Jets but then week two some phenomenal games there as well Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins a rematch that the AFC East is waiting for and also the Bengals and the cheese week too games in football James Jones you know W incredibly well Aaron Rogers is back remember last year the the whole world was watching when the Jets took over prime time TV four plays in Aaron Rogers he popped his Achilles Devastation well now second year New York Jets Big Time program Big Apple Aaron roders do you expect him to live up to the hype this year he’s one of the greatest talents the quarterback position has ever seen in history will he live up to the hyp a my dog absolutely the blessing is uh the first game on grass so we should be safe all right you know what I mean get nice and com um during this season but no everything is better everything is better since Aaron Rogers has gotten here we had High Hopes before he popped his Achilles in in four plays right I had him going to the Super Bowl obviously you know that’s my dog so I got high hopes for him but everything is better on both sides of the football your young running back is coming off of an ACL who played well now he’s going to be even much better receiver wise you get Mike Williams to go with Garrett Wilson two really good receivers and you can run the football you beefed up the offensive line the offensive line is going to be much better to be able to protect Aaron Rogers one thing I know about Aaron Rogers he is getting up there in age but ain’t nothing wrong with his arm ain’t nothing wrong with his mind Aaron Rogers is one of the smartest players that I’ve ever played with Aaron Rogers is one of the Aaron Rogers is the most talented player that I played with he will bounce back he will be healthy and this is going to be a really good Jets football team and I’m excited for that matchup because regular season wise Niners can’t mess with 12 you don’t have playoff different story you have no worries about his arm not at all I mean when last time you see him throw the ball pretty well not at all I’m was I’m was asking I’m not your I like your take the take was pretty good yeah yeah but I was asking just before Joy goes that’s one know every time he take the field he throw the ball well no I’m no I’m asking you James when was the last time you seen him throw the ball so well cuz the last time he played a full football season no against Detroit Lions he didn’t throw the ball well that’s yeah that year he had a bad year I my bad I question y talking winning the game or you just talking about making some about I’m just trying ask good though I just want to know the last take brother back there Rogers all that you talking what you gonna say uh yeah I’m G say yes and it’s it’s more of the people around him though right now he said some good things though he only talked about the offense the defense though as much as as we think they’re good on defense they got even better on Def you had some pretty good secondary one of the best in the league but then with the secondary where they love best on defense guys to get to the ball to the quarterback Hassan reck you bring him in there that’s a great piece to have trust me Philadelphia Eagles they gonna know they gonna miss him right and then back to the offense the offensive line now Aaron Rogers right he he he only had what couple serious no I’m couple play right he didn’t finish it got some offensive linen help him out so I think they’ll be better because they’re a better team overall and I think they’ll do good in that AFC East I truly believe that but it’s not all about A-Rod to me that’s why I was asking you because I mean I think he’s probably still good but hey he is 40 and we haven’t seen him play football and you d t Achilles so we gota wait to see that part overall overall the team part yeah is a lot better better team the question is Aaron Rogers Rogers live up to the height this year yeah well because of his his help you know help helps you out so so okay he will you think he’ll live up to the hype because of the help he going make everybody around he will make everyone better the answer to your question shady is 884 days that’s the last time you did it again you did it again you know let me write that down again say 884 days ago the date was December 12th 2021 it is May 14th 2024 that was the last time that Aaron roders the great Aaron Rogers threw for over 300 yards in a football wait a he always does that no no no he doesn’t 844 days ago was the last time he did that wow thank you research for that I wish this season started tomorrow we going to do this topic a lot I wish this season topic a lot I don’t think that Aaron Rogers will live up to the hype this year because the hype is Super Bowl right the conversation is Super Bowl that’s what we’re hearing again out of New York that we we’re we’re we’re excited about all the things that we can accomplish and you know it’s that that would be like a lowlevel hype the hype for Aaron Rogers is Super Bowl the hype for Aaron Rogers AFC Championship Game the hype for Aaron Rogers is multiple playoff wins it’s not just that they’re going to look better this year so do I think that they’re going to the Super Bowl no I do not this is an organization that hasn’t had a Super Bowl in 56 years hasn’t had a playoff win in 14 years I believe that is also an appearance because I think they have the longest stretch yes they do have the longest uh playoff droughts in the NFL currently do the New York they do jets yes now I do think that Aaron Rogers at 40 is better than Zack Wilson is at any age but I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know what Aaron Rogers is going to look like he’s coming off of an Achilles injury I I would not say that Aaron Rogers is a dual threat quarterback right but I think he can move around a little bit and despite that prior to tearing his Achilles he had an entire season where just off of his arm which is the the thing he does because we just said he’s not a dual threat quarterback he didn’t throw for over 300 yards he was what not no more he’s not a we talking about now yeah yeah we we talking about now we both talking about right now we we all talking about right now so like even like recently right now and on his arm alone since he doesn’t have that other thing he can tap into anymore he didn’t throw for 300 yards in that season a season where they missed the playoffs with a team that he played his entire career with and had just won MVPs there yeah where the organization was doing everything that he wanted so I’m just I’m really confused as to what I’m supposed to expect from Aaron Rogers with all these things I get it on paper the Jets are better they have great great young Talent they’ve improved on both sides of the ball but we’re talking about Aaron Rogers I do think that the help he has around him is very interesting I don’t know what Robert Salah is I’ve seen Robert Salah in controversy and adversity before I don’t know that he handled it in the in the best way I mean they’ve gone through a lot of ups and downs with that organization I think things could have gone smoother in multiple like how are you letting the the play not letting but like you’ve got a situation where you’ve got players wearing the backup quarterback’s name on t-shirts like it’s just it’s not it’s the most stable organization here so I think it’s a lot to ask of of 40-year-old Aaron Rogers coming off of an Achilles honestly but it’s Aaron Rogers so we’re going to have the expectations high and I don’t know the AFC is good got a lot of young Talent at the quarterback position heod is he is 40 yeah he’s going to be 41 midseason December I think he’ll live up to the height J you bring up a great Point what is the hype but I think he’ll live up to the hype in large part because of what Shady’s saying this is what I would say is the most talented team Rogers has played with since probably 2011 2012 Green Bay okay um when you start to think about the talent that the Jets have not just offensively but primarily defensively that year that Aaron Rogers didn’t throw for 300 yards in one single game it was a bad year but that year his wide receiver won was Alan Lazard this year Alan Lazard the same Alan Lazard is wide receiver three so just to add a little bit of context to the talent that Aaron Rogers will have this year first the last time we saw Aaron Rogers on the football field his wide receiver one is now his wide receiver three you got Mike Williams there as as well you already got Bree Hall plus you got brayan Allen a really talented running back defensively you already had quinnon Williams at D tackle but now you had Assan reic a top five pass rusher yall know what the quarterbacks are in s Gardner so I love the talent around Rogers and if we’re being really real often times it was the talent around Rogers that let Rogers down particularly defensively in the playoffs which is why Aaron Rogers has fallen short more often that he’s succeeded so I think he’ll live up to the hype but if the hype is winning a Super Bowl no I’m going you can’t live up to that hype but if the hype is looking like Aaron roders no if the hype is Aaron Rogers commanding a team like he has commanded teams in Green Bay 11 wins 12 wins playoffs winning a playoff game that hype I would hope he would live up to because how can you not with this do you do you still think he’s Elite I mean I’m serious question though yes I was asking aa oh I I don’t think he’ll play Elite I think he has Elite Talent I don’t think he’ll play Elite can you can you define Elite what’s Elite will he play at a top three level top five left I know what is that but because I’m I’m just asking because the MVP of our league like he’ll had those numbers oh like Lamar numbers yeah he he’ll have that so so so what’s the elite yeah I mean but that’s no because see this this this what I hate that y’all do I don’t know why we bring up Lamar right and I say that asking what’s the lead so great you come back like I like Lamar and I ride for Aaron that’s why I’m saying what so you’re saying he will give you I think Aaron Rogers will give you 29 touchdowns and six interceptions and to your point last year Lamar Jackson total touch game different game different no doubt hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on Aaron Rogers is 40 years old coming off in Achilles Lamar Jackson is a two-time league MVP and for all this talk about his numbers okay he love Lamar lar I’m just trying but but Aaron wasn’t playing last year and the year before that his numbers weren’t great which is why we keep bringing this up so that was two years and and and in those two years Lamar has played in an AFC Championship game and won a league MVP we don’t want to compare numbers every single year that’s all I’m saying what what what you don’t think Lamar Jackson is an elite quarterback I definitely think he’s Elite quarterback that’s why I’m going off of what he’s saying the point is if Lamar is Elite which Lamar is Aaron Rogers will have Lamar Elite year see but but I hate that because they’re two different styles of play but forget to be honest with you for forget all that my man got all the numbers in the world he’s a four-time MVP that’s true one of the greatest quarterbacks to take care of the football in the history of the game yeah it’s only Super Bowl and it’s a failure if it’s not I’m with you and joy the only thing that matters is Super Bowl and if they get it done they get it done if you guys think they can’t they can’t but at the end of the day for Aaron roders with this football team with everything being better if you can get back to playing at the ability that you are capable of playing you should be in that game and if you are not has only been to that game one time you and Aaron Rogers got a special team around him too right now too a defense that he ain’t never had was how old in that game he’s he’s 40 now like I my thing about this like I’m not trying to I’m I think I’m very clear like I’m not an AIS here but like we’re being serious right about about what ala Falcons just and I’m not comparing Kurt Cousins and Aaron Rogers but like age wise like Kurt Cousins is younger and coming off in Achilles and they just drafted another quarterback he’s going to be 41 this while the game while the season is happening he’s turning 41 mhm oh that’s true yeah I mean so I’m saying he’s been to a Super Bowl One Time how could Super Bowl be the expectation because the way this team is built and the type of player that Aaron Rogers is just because Aaron Rogers about to turn 41 Aaron Rogers is still a good player we talking about this team with Aaron Rodgers with what they have on both sides of the ball J if he plays at the level that he could play at they should be if we if we being objective you know like Aaron Rogers second most on this desk I had to play against Aaron Rogers I think Aaron Rogers is phenomenal but if we’re being objective Jo and Shady they bring up great points I can’t confidently say how good Aaron Rogers is right now I that’s all and the reason I can’t confidently say it is because truth be told we don’t know one we don’t know because of the Achilles two disregarding the Achilles we don’t know because the year before he only had he had no 300 yard passing games now context Nuance it matters Christian Watson was a rookie Alan Lazard was wide receiv receiv context matters either way he still didn’t have a 300 yard season I can’t confidently say Aaron Rogers is still a top three quarterback because with what data I I got to go back to 2022 to support my argum none of us can sit up here confidently and I’m on Aaron Rogers side the man got to go play but like I say all the excuses that we making uh young receivers and all that I played with 12 I hate yeah I don’t like excuses either 12 made everybody around him better he made all of his young receivers better not the last time we saw him don’t lie man I didn’t say last time I’m saying my career playing with Aaron he made all his young receivers better so yes he was up there in age but the the type of player Aaron Rogers is why we talk about him like that is because he did make everybody around him better now you have a much better roster if you can play the way you are capable of playing man you should have an opportunity to be in that game period and that should be the goal roster is really gooder I just I I need to see it I got to walk by sight I I’m not walking by faith at all when it comes to Aaron Rogers is going to look like or what this Jets team is capable of because I’ve seen them in chaos with and and the leadership did not move me I I don’t know what Aaron Rogers is going to say be healthwise I don’t know what he’s going to look like what I do know is when things tend to go sideways with either Aaron roggers or the Jets they don’t go sideways they go like and then it’s and then it’s a wrap like there’s no there’s no turning back what happens if the first pass of the Season gets dropped well last time that happened it didn’t go so well is it going to be cool everybody gonna be we’re going to need to go into the dark hole or whatever it is like how how do we how do we recover from this I do think if the if the Jets don’t succeed though it has to be on Solin Rogers outside of health because when I think when I think about when I think about this roster I was really thinking about it as y’all were talking and I was like yo the Jets if somebody wanted to say the Jets had a top three roster in the AFC I’d be like I’m listening I’m not I’m not gonna argue with you like I’m I’m I’m listening where is the vacancy offensively where is it it’s not at tackle no more it’s not at white out no more it’s definitely not at running back no more where’s the vacancy offensively defensively No Vacancy maybe if you want to see more out of the safeties I’d say bet but it’s not a d tackle it’s definitely not at the pass rush it’s not at all at linebacker it’s not at corner so if I’m looking at this roster James Jones I am saying to myself the only question marks are Health are Rogers and are the head coach and that’s it and that and that’s why I say if 12 can play the way he can is
