[Music] hi guys welcome back to another gns golf podcast hope everyone’s been doing well um how you been mate you all right fine man how are you absolutely sound as a bouncer good stuff any golf at the weekend uh not from me how about you no not for me either I wait down the driv range again actually you did do something before golf then well not really playing golf but yeah driving range absolute chambles what why don’t know just trying try new stuff and it just made it worse and I justed what I was doing what was you trying I was trying to do that thing that we saw on YouTube last week you know that clip that I sent you yeah well you need to put your back out well I did wish that was on video for you guys that brilliant C so I found a video on YouTube about a swing well swing fault that helped fix it and Gary tried it and he back clicked in all sorts of places and then what happened was it’s like so I did it the movement it clicked and then just shot a sharp pain out my spine and then all like if seees him basically rocking back on his chair about to fall off laughing his head off so that was good right so didn’t pay out for you then definitely not and he didn’t pay for you by either so don’t get tips of YouTube guys or us or US it’s so it looks so easy and so much I was so confident in it and then I just kept thinning it what was it again it was it’s more about your right arm being no who was it Mark Blackburn Mark Blackburn he done a ra yeah was really good really really it was interesting a lot of the stuff they were saying you can actually come out of it and be like yeah I get I get I get that didn’t after Saturday back no you try it you cracked your back and I could stop feeling it so maybe it’s for a better player as he is a scratch goer yeah so that was a waste of time so I’m glad I paid £850 for feeling the ball for about an hour oh good I persisted with it yeah anything else did you do anything for mother’s day I went out for dinner just a Calvary you know yeah what about you uh we had a buffet a little a little Buffet nice little gotot egg stroll you know the works all the trions all the trions yeah anything different there um chocolate fountain yeah a funo thing yeah but it was chocolate coming out of it marshmallows or I had marshmallows but there were strawberries on the side no no no bazer was there yeah bazer was there didn’t leave the table sat there and just ate all day good stuff but yeah so that was that was that we’re going to try and play golf today aren’t we yeah and it decided to hammer it down all day yesterday so my attire is my golf attire you were very much Keen for I was very keen to play but no try again next week thank you again England and your shitty weather just started raining now where will you end so we we will play again well we will play again this Sunday well we need to soon play again because we’re running out of videos yeah well it starts again this Sunday mate our first better ball on the back of the Reserve at Orange Lakes it was a while ago I can’t even remember it how’s it been editing it depressing not because of actually how we played because to be fair we actually played not too bad it was just the fact you’re watching back something that’s better than where you are what did the course look like I remember course unreal absolutely unreal but to be you know when sometimes people say like oh the camera hasn’t done it justice I actually feel like the camera’s done it justice the reserve the reserve yeah I thought that was better than the other one next one coming next week we’re filming this Monday the new bable series comes out Sunday this week and then following Sunday is the other better ball Legend let us know what you think I think this week’s is better course yeah well say put it in the comments and let us know what you guys think but I mean we you’ve already seen the front six six holes cut don’t go through that again no I’m not going through that again so uh you’ve seen the first six holes of that one um and then we started doing the back nine on this one and honestly it’s such a lovely course real some like real a lot of water on it how much did we pay for that w a lot $50 yeah because what it was no was about $75 cuz we played it was like right late and and I think we said it in when we were talking about Orlando and that we went peak season we hav mentioned Orlando on this podcast ever um all the way up until about I think it was about 2 3:00 wasn’t it the prices were like a like a it was about 2:00 wasn’t it prices were like quite like $135 and then it dropped down because it is like borderline whether you’ll get the rest in um luckily on this one we did get it in in time and I was actually quite surprised mate to be fair how did you plan better than I did on the six holes short video otherwise okay guys we didn’t break P after three HS Gary walked off when play Bingo I’m actually looking forward to watching it but like you I bit like oh that that was like the first like so when I was doing the fly over cutting cropping it and everything else I was watching the fly I was like you know like Joey friends when he’s like reminiscing back home and it was like it’s just ridiculous but the court was stunning like proper good condition um yeah I just I thought I would say probably out of the two it was my favorite course definitely the 18 holes we like yeah it was my favorite that’s what I mean if we’re looking to go back next year we saying like wouldn’t mind trying somewhere else but equally are you going to find anything better than that value for MoneyWise I don’t think and be able to fil well that that was the thing wasn’t it we could I mean I I would say probably the that Disney one we played was Bloody lovely but we just would never be able to film there and I mean we’ve got like the where we swap clubs and I think we were like a couple of like threee whole matches with it weren’t we and it was like we were having to like Rush with that as well but it was just like we wanted to try and do something so we could get some content out of that day otherwise we should have just got back to play the other one but no it should be a good good one and um let us know what you guys think we’re going to do do you think we’re going to break PA spoiler alert don’t know well you I saw you on first six hours yeah well I get better we kind of swap places really yeah I didn’t very well I done my job then not part of the team you didn’t no you didn’t so got got this one and then the next one is that the two betters yeah so the the next one after this is then the pr what they class is their premium course which is the Legends walk and um yeah it it would be the two two nines I think the front line is when I had start having a beer there’s two lots of more be BS after this one there three three well I think it’s like uh 1 and a half because that was the course when it was quite busy in front of us cuz was like I think a big group of guys in front oh that’s when I hit my worldly shot and then we through the ball went yeah I’m look forward to see back on camera actually see can you see it yeah so we I think it ends up being uh I think we ended up missing like two to three holes on that day so it’s going to be a video being on the camera and it was like it’s pitch black and you’re looking at at the screen you like actually look clear yeah ites it does I’ve only like seen like Snippets whereing and all the footage and that but you can you can’t see where your shot actually went you can’t but it was still bright enough and like to us it was Pitch Black that probably one of the best eight LS ever in my life and I couldn’t see where it went it it had to have gone out the back yeah the only only place it could have gone but yeah no so um let us know guys put it in the comments what you think we’re going to shoot it’s a par 36 so let us know do you think we’ll break PA if you do how much do you think to buy do you think we’re going to tie do you think we’re going to go over and how much let us know put it in the comments and let us know what you’d prefer the one One V one matches or the better balls I think we we think we should do the better balls moving forward but let us know if you’d prefer the One V ones or a mixture of both um but I think both of us really want to do the better balls cuz I think I think it’s a good challenge for us though and an achievable challenge yeah especially after those things you know was quite encouraged after the week weren we we we got you were very optimistic with what when I said let’s break go for par you were like pessimistic yeah very pessimistic I didn’t think we’d ever get anywhere but coming out of it I think we should do that everywhere cuz it’s a good Benchmark yeah um but yeah like I say put it in the comments what you think we’re going to shoot this Sunday what 10:00 10:00 this Sunday providing it all upload properly cuz we haven’t been having the best of lucks with that last week’s podcast is a bit of a pain wasn’t it yeah and going on to talking about podcast we had to get rid of the the one we did with rean absolutely gut it about it because I don’t know how many hours we both put into that podcast you did it tried then I then tried doing it got it to a reasonable sort of thing and then whilst it was uploading it just the volumes of everything you didn’t even realize you said it’s up and I listened to it I was like Gary what what have you done to this podcast touch it yeah I hadn’t touched it and um so we couldn’t release it so we are going to redo the Regan podcast again um so so do like if you got any questions you want to ask about the PGA school and things like that make sure you do put it in the comments we’ll reach out we’ll give it to rean and he can answer them for you it was so annoying M it CU it was actually really it a really good podcast to be fair and got it so those of you that have seen it apologies but at least you saw kind of what it was like yeah um but we couldn’t we couldn’t keep that on there it just wasn’t just wasn’t right for us to do that so yeah we are going to be filming that one again soon um hopefully we can get some some proper mics that all link and stuff like that ready for it um but yeah so apologies for that one but it will be coming soon definitely but yes so as well mate this last week the Netflix series full week season two and last week’s pod I said it’s coming out last Friday you thought it was coming out the Friday Wes yeah you’ve watched more than me but what are you thinking so far I’ve watched four episodes I’ve got up to the rer cup bit so let’s go up to that so I’ve actually finished watching it but the general consensus over it is I feel for everybody involved in that in that series I feel for Rory because he was absolutely shafted up the ass with everything with this YouTube W be for kids yeah click that button he got absolutely shed out the ass for that one no lube nothing he was absolutely and you can can tell did you see the bit in there where it said um that Jay Monahan is probably one of my closest friends oh they were spending time together and everything how that is unbelievable like I thought them first two episodes were pretty I was a bit bored and over the live thing I was like God we going over it again but it was nice to see the inside track of it but at the same time you think you know why Rory was so pissed off and why he’s acting like he is now because you think he literally just been sent out to back for the PJ tour and then gone now changed my mind now don’t worry about it I mean I I know there was like talks I don’t know I I heard like little bits about it where they’ve said that they spoke to Rory’s agent or former agent or something like that and he said that he’s not fully closed off now to go over to live but then I don’t think he will because he’s quite a respectful person in that sense but I wouldn’t blame him if he did because of how how bad he did get shafted yeah it was awful it was horrific how you know they were using him and then they just go and take and it was the fact that the way they all got told yeah you you would have thought with someone like where Rory was in that position I think she told before the meeting but or before it went on TV but not long like literally yeah like before everybody else knew yeah if if that was the case or even found out when everybody else didn’t know is nothing’s actually come out about it like since is it it has just died to death weird so I thought the first episode was okay but by the end it was like it was into here because it the first episode it was them talking about the the Liv and the and the PJ tour and it was how Rory was like he cannot beat he cannot get the five interesting and I don’t think it’s I don’t think it’s because they they don’t like each other I think they actually get on quite well because they said they played practice rounds together and stuff like that it was just that competitive I don’t want live to have one over on me it was the way he come across did like you said though it was like when he said about it it was like oh but then he went over to him in the car park didn’t he and he like well played like a minute ago he was like come across quite angry but like you said I think they’re actually good mates but then I think that was the whole thing isn’t it they were trying to really paint it out like oh there was a real beef between the players no there wasn’t and there was the whole thing with horw and poter and that and they’re proper good mates you know what I mean and it’s just like you they really tried painting it out to be something it wasn’t between the players no exactly um but yeah again you know Rory I feel so sorry for him really last time he does anything like that let’s be honest and I feel sorry for all of those players that did get offered contracts to go over to play at live and I hope in some way they do get their money’s worth I know money’s not the thing but they’ve all stayed loyal for what yeah for what you know what I mean it’s ridiculous how they can do that to him I mean like the first clip of episode two is uh Justin Thomas standing there with his phone watching the news on the F going what the [ __ ] is it’s unbelievable what the [ __ ] then Shuffle what the you just think these are your like franchise players in that sense and you are everyone said no one actually knows what it means they still R now really no of course they don’t I just found it I was glad they only went off one episode about it though cuz I thought if the whole thing was going to be about this yeah yeah I think like we said in another podcast I think everyone’s over the whole debate but it was interesting to see their side of it player side of it because not much has come out about how they all feel about that merger yeah and but yeah and then you had then the next person I felt sorry for you know Joel Dam and Winden Clark yeah you know and if people are out there and you do struggle with mental health the I struggle with it sort of thing Scotts helped me out with my mental health massively reach out talk to people you know and even rean will put his socials in he’s an ambassador for mental health so partly why we wanted to get him on board as well wasn’t it absolutely you know in some way we all suffer so please do reach out you’re not alone don’t be the mro man thinking you can handle it on your own you can’t talk to people that’s what I found was the best thing for me just talking about my issues and what I was going through um so yeah so do reach out and like say maybe even me like Drop R and some things on his Instagram and things like that and he can help you with that but I mean Joel Damon is a troubled man there there was to me there was two different sides to mental health with that that that episode you’ve got one that’s at a loss of somebody and it’s it’s really affected him and then you’ve got someone that is lost basically isn’t he his mom and dad both passed away his M yeah but that was very younger in his in but it was more he was lost in his career yeah where do I go he’s gone lower in in would it be higher or lower in the rankings how does it work yeah it I don’t know yeah he’s gone the he worst he’s got the worst rank than season one but his popularity in that’s what he’s strug to deal with isn’t it he’s like like he said on there he said um something along the lines of I’ve actually got worse at golf but I got more popular like when people get better at go they get better more Fame I’ve gone the other way he just like you say just needs help and that CAD scene in the end of that in the plane well you I watched it before you and you you said to me what was it like I said it really hit hard because for the caddies caddies on the PGA tour I should say they rely on making that cut you know and they put in the graft to make sure that they’re they’re they’re player is ready for that weekend and when you’ve got someone that’s doing that and then the player is not there mentally but not even there he’s not practicing you can tell like he said he’s not even doing anything like and I know like being a new parent and everything that does take a toll I don’t dispute that but when you’re messing around with other people’s lives that are putting all their trust in you I just felt my heart in that plane my heart broken it br for both of them I mean and the thing is we don’t know if he actually hasn’t got has gotten got help you don’t know that in the end of the I’ve seen recently and he says that he’s been he has he thinks his game is around the corner yeah oh great I’m glad to hear that he’s he’s done that then um but like you said like you feel for the caddy like he’s not getting paid unless they do anything and he’s not even getting close to making the cup no cuz he was like saying I can get you a job on some else back I don’t want anybody else’s back I want yours I just want you to care yeah and that was the it was just I want you to care and that was the big big thing from it waser it it was just I want you to care about about you wanting to play golf you wanting to be the best player you can be it’s mad and having that much talent and not working at it this is like yeah you got a gift and he’s just throwing it away yeah absolutely you know but and then on the other I don’t think he’s even pressure from his wife she seems like she’s quite open to him like doing stuff it’s not like she getting pressure saying you need to be at home sort of thing more and she I think it was her as well in the I mean in the plane bit at the end and she even said oh she’s saying to me I need her she’s seeing it as well so he’s obviously taking it home with him as well and not doing that like well at home with he drinking quite a lot as well it yeah and I mean is you don’t know how you the thing is some of the crowds that he was being a part of you know I mean Bob do Sports boys you know the four play boys when they get together they like down and drink and stuff like that and you get involved in it um but you had like that on that spectrum of it and then you had Windam Clark who you know who suffered a loss and the lady that he got helped with and you saw his journey with her like a mom would it oh my gosh it was literally she turned into the mom for him and you know to see the fact that he won what was it what was it he won the Players no he won something before the major was it Travelers or something like that it it was a big it was a big it and um you could see what it meant to him and and to everyone because even his caddy and his team around him could all F he was an elite amateur as well weren’t he so they were saying like they expected him to come out and be absolutely fly through the rankings and like say it was just that trauma we needed to deal with as soon as he did yeah unbelievable yeah it was it hard episode to watch was it yeah absolutely good episode hard but again like going back to the point before we said if you’re struggling reach out and we can help try and help you put put you in the right places so you can get the help you need um but then you had and then after that then it was what was the episode after that Tom Kim one I love that my so far what a guy he’s my new Jo D I think he’s just such a happy guy is he he like just so funny I think my favorite bits was when he was going into the dressing room so he’s in the Masters he just cuz I just want a sandwich where do I get a sandwich from where do I get a sandwich he’s like oh up there goes I’m in the Champions Locker like should I be in here like and then he come downstairs again he goes I don’t think I should have R up it’s all like tigers all his bags and memorabilia and stuff they just let him walk in though didn’t they what a guy though like it’s so funny like my favorite bit of it is when he’s walking down with spif on The Fairway wherever they were playing and then Tom Kim goes to him oh did you get some food before you come out he’s like yeah I got some in the locker room and Tom Kim goes to Jordan SM goes oh they had like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and stuff you know what I’m going to say and Jordan SM goes to him I think that was for the kids and he was like what he go I think that was for the kids he goes oh I suppose you’re were a kid anyway and it just like his face like oh but like on that bit as well like um was that the the the bit the C the when he was playing and he went into the the sludge yeah up to his knees he just come out and he was like was coming in crap I’m not seen that how they went into the locker room again after and they’re like what Earth was you thinking have you seen that clip though surely that went viral I don’t remember seeing it it’s like I vaguely remember seeing pict but I don’t went like as crazy as it should have he just come back and he’s absolutely then he goes back in again he and what they didn’t show till they got back at the end he goes he goes I didn’t even find my ball he’s gone in there he’s not even got his ball back he a legend that guy absolutely loved him just a normal guy just happy gol lucky unbelievable riding riding the the ride of it you know absolutely brilliant I really liked it that was my favorite episode so far yeah and such a nice guy is he and then you had the the fit that was really good I didn’t know what that’ be like but like lot of people slack F Patrick Hof don’t they say got no personality but I think he comes across really well I just think he’s he’s he’s just playing the game he’s not he’s not in it to make a really a brand for himself he’s in it just to play golf isn’t he he just loves golf doesn’t he yeah and you can see it from his whole family his whole family oh absolutely I really Alex kind across really well didn’t he I think it was like more of an episode for Alex than it was for Matt wasn’t it bit like when you saiding about being in the shadow though like seriously bothered him didn’t it I don’t think they made him look great in it but keep going on about it who Alex looked great because how like it seemed a bit bitter it come across to me yeah and then when they were playing the the open it was like they were making it a competition between the two of them like yeah I see what you’re saying with that one yeah it was a bit I don’t know I thought you come across really well though but then again you look at like in the shadows of it all like he’s in the shadow of his brother and then his girlfriend said that she was in the shadow of her mom who played in the women’s right his girlfriend was like top for amateur player in the world College yeah I think like Western Forest orable but like when you saw it like you not saying I can relate toex I can’t but you know when you like playing statement of the year no you’re you’re a long long way away I’m going to make my point and then you go fair enough okay all right point so when you’re playing like he played when he done that doubles match with his brother and they played um oh yes they played with um max Homer and and he come off there and he said I just want to feel like I’m good enough but you have that experience when you’re playing golf that’s what I was trying to get to like what sometimes you play golf and you like play so [ __ ] and you want to play so good but at that point you just play terrible and there’s nothing you can do about it and then you just get that inferior if you’re complex that’s just you putting that on yourself 100% but you could relate to it in the sense that you’ve been in that situation before where you really really want to play play well and you play terrible but you know what I mean that’s why you kind of he got to a whole another level hasn’t he yeah it’s like he needs to have a bit of Tom just that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches he needs to have that sort of that little bit more of that mentality yeah I mean if he could blend like how Matt Matt’s mentality mentality of playing the game and being very structured and course management being spot on have that yeah but have that with that sort of feeling of I’ve made it let’s let’s enjoy this ride yeah no I thought that quite sad like he said didn’t feel like he was good enough you think he’s an elite college player and he’s like still didn’t feel good enough so everyone say proved how good he was when he played in the open yeah I mean I mean that last day he was fourth yeah only cuz Harman run away with it he was just unbelievable on that day wasn’t he what’s your favorite episode so far or you’ve watched all of them they cup one of the best ones no i’ say Tom K is my favor yeah I know don’t SP the rider cup ones like who wins but was there anything about the Rory and uh the caddy not not as much as but to be fair it was like there was like a little there was I’ll say one little scene so you know the bit when they were on the green yeah and he was doing this and that and at the end um the players like came on to thing they were like we get it it’s funny we get it you just did it for too long yeah and and they say that they they they say that and you can hear Lowry and uh Justin Rose say say we get it it was funny well like we haven’t got it’s just the fact you did it too long that was the issue they had with that um and then they just showed them like the clip of um the bit we’ve all seene in the in the Car Part B that they didn’t go into that we you literally only see that bit um but again going into that the the ride a cup episodes and that I feel sorry for Keegan Bradley again to watch I’ve seen that bit on YouTube anyway I think yeah it Savage was it didn’t they say well I heard that they said that we’re on our way to tell you about the thing bring the Netflix cameras and he thought brilliant they must must be no no it’s to have a little tear you just feel for him because leading up to that he was playing probably I think he only just missed out of being automatically qualified for so how did they set it up on the actual on the series they they ring him up and say look we’re coming around or you see you don’t see it no you don’t see all of that that’s come out after like from the director’s edit sort ofn you just basically see Zack Johnson Starts doing all his call rounds and it gets to Keegan uh Keegan’s like sitting on the edge of his sofa uh with his wife and his kids all in like the living room just like running around and then like he’s just like i’ got some like bad news sort of thing on decided to go a different way with the team um and stuff like that and then you know Keegan I mean Keegan like throughout his career has had like quite a bad rep to be fair I think I’m sure what Mak really but like watching that again kind of like Bryson’s been you watch Bryson like get this bad name for himself and then you see him outside and he’s just completely different and ke Bradley I feel like it’s been like because I’ve seen him like Bob the sports stuff as well my heart just sunk for the guy and you know and he’s in front of his kids and if now it makes it even worse knowing what we do know now of the Netflix being like get round to his house quick sort of thing it made that whole situation can’t feel to watch I think because now you’ve seen that clip you you understand that what’s happened now when you watch it you’ll think [ __ ] hell that was Savage and and you do feel for him because he played his absolute heart out to get into that team and he was so desperate who went instead of him then Thomas Thomas well it it the way they were paying it out was like it was basically between him and Thomas that was the way it was like being like dra out but Thomas had a terrible year as well he had a terrible year but he has good Ridder cup he plays well with all and he did play well in the rider cup to be fair to him he did play well in it but no and then but then you s there you see like the little Snippets of them going back to ke bradle watching the rider cup as well really Jesus and he’s like supporting him he’s wearing his old USA cap that he wore when he was in the team and stuff like that and you just think Jesus Christ so literally the way I felt like for that whole season of is I feel sorry for everybody involved in this emotional roller coaster for you mate sounds it was for everybody wow absolutely everybody so the last two episodes just on the ride of C there yeah yeah the two two and then it kind of just stops with them more celebrating be another series I think it’s been so successful it will be 100% they can’t they can’t not the first season was so good you think was better first or second series I was say the first series but just because I think was new it was new and there’s a lot going on in this series you know you’ve got the start of it live PGA then the the mental health and stuff and then you then got the rider cup and everything it was just like yeah it it I would say the first season is the better season looking forward to watching the last two episodes when are you going to watch them tonight hopefully whilst I’m editing this podcast let’s hope it’s easier than last week’s one Tak your time getting that one out didn’t you so overall it’s been good nice s to watch isn’t it especially go now now I’ve got nothing go watch first series again we got to do editing other videos mate that’s what you got to do that is right that is right so yep good stuff that be out uh yeah we’ve got not much more to really talk about except for we mentioned it in the the last podcast um at the end about the customization for like your golf clubs and societies and stuff like that because I know a lot of you guys out there you know you are starting to get yourselves organized for your Society going away and stuff like that um and if you are H nothing if you are interested in um some custom apparel reach out to us we can
