ABOUT KIRK JUNGE
———————–
Kirk Junge began playing golf at the age of 5. After a successful Junior Golf career, Kirk turned professional in 1986. He has played on the Dakotas Tour, the Teardrop Tour, the South Florida PGA and the SouthWest Ohio PGA where he captured one victory.

Kirk recently proved how amazing the Setup 4 Impact swing is by winning the Senior division of the 2023 United States Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas with a score of 4 under par for 36 holes in difficult conditions, over a top field of USGTF certified golf instructors. He won by six shots, after finishing second over the past two years. It was mainly due to his simplified Setup 4 Impact golf swing and simple set of drills that anybody can learn to play their best possible golf. See results under Senior at https://2023uscup.golfgenius.com/pages/9947992403082241279

In the year 1996, Kirk began to teach the golf swing of Moe Norman, and shortly thereafter taught with the Natural Golf Corporation, where he stayed until 2005. During that time he was one of the top instructors and was responsible for answering over 3000 golf technique questions on the Natural Golf forum. He was a licensed instructor with the Graves Golf Academy from 2014 to 2016. Kirk also holds several other certifications with the United States Golf Teachers Federation, the World Golf Teachers Federation, and is a former PGA of Europe member.

After leaving Natural Golf, Kirk headed to Pforzheim, Germany where he ran his own Golf Academy until 2014.

In 2005, Kirk set his sights on creating a simpler golf swing, which led to the creation of Setup 4 Impact Golf. Using his 20+ years of golf instruction experience and his knowledge of the many different golf methods. Kirk has distilled golf knowledge from some of the best golf instructors in the world to create the Setup 4 Impact golf swing. His instructors included the likes of Wild Bill Melhorn, Jimmy Ballard, Terry Crouch, Artie McNickle, Chuck Hogan and Dave Pelz, and many more.

Kirk’s main goal is to help golfers improve their game as quickly as possible.

The Setup 4 Impact golf method can be fully customized to fit your own personal needs without the need for special golf clubs.

Kirk has taught golf for 35 years now. He has taught various golf methods including for Natural Golf Corporation, Single Axis golf, and the Graves Golf Academy. The Setup4Impact golf swing very closely resembles the swing of Bryson DeChambeau who also sets up on his impact plane. Kirk’s number one goal is to help you improve at golf.

Kirk Junge currently teaches his “Setup 4 Impact” swing full-time in West Palm Beach, Florida year round, as well as Cincinnati, Ohio, Reading, PA, and Sanford, NC a couple times per year. Other locations coming soon including California. More info at https://setup4impact.com/kirk-junge/

so in this short video today I’m going to show you the easiest way that you can improve your golf game and my goal is to help everyone play the best golf they’ve ever played and that’s what I’m doing now at 59 years old I’m going to be 60 next month and it’s a very very simple method and it’s different than anything else out there simply because it’s customizable to fit each golfer there’s a simple uh stepbystep learning program that you can follow that will enable you to very quickly improve your golf game so I’m going to get right into why that is uh there’s going to be a lot more content here on my channel it’s going to help you improve so please click the Subscribe button below uh so that you get notified as new videos are released and really the main thing and the main way that I’m going to help you improve and my method is called setup for impact and I’m teaching you a way to set up to the golf ball that makes it a lot easier to hit great golf shots and it’s simply because taking into account what we know that at impact and that’s where you have to start at impact every golfer has the golf club in this orientation with the arms so when you look here from the camera down here even though they start at this angle with the hands and arms hanging below the shoulders uh at impact it’s going to be like this the problem with that it should be very clear the club head is moving away away from the body as you’re trying to hit the ball uh which is explains why so many people struggle with hitting fat thin uh golf shots and slicing and hooking the ball as well because they have to manipulate the club in order to hit great golf shots so it’s actually as simple as learning to set up like this just taking the club holding it in front of you like this and then just let gravity do its thing so that the wrists are in an uncocked position uh you may have seen Bryson damb playing this way when he won the US Open a few years ago um and really this is really easy to do the problem is people feel in the beginning it just feels kind of strange but uh this is absolutely where the club’s going to be at impact so from there I would simply have you uh starting out you could get in your normal setup position and then just raise your hands up so you’re in this position here and then what we have to do from there is get used to uh this feeling so I would have you just starting out making a couple short swings back and forth and making sure that you can make contact with the ground a really helpful Tool uh for learning is the divot board and the divot board is one of the coolest things that I’ve seen in a long time uh in that we can practice even at home just making some swings so you can get used to the setup and you can see every time where your Club strikes the ground and so to become really good and consistent at golf we need to be able to set up and make a swing and have it hit actually right where the ball would be so starting where the ball would be and Beyond uh so there’s information below or here uh if you’re interested in that um I use it in all my golf schools and it’s extremely helpful at helping people uh learn to control the club head so then also without the divot board uh once we’re in our setup position we can make some swings back and forth and you’ll notice where the club’s making contact with the ground that’s going to be the distance from the ball uh that we need to have when we go to hit and to hit golf shots other methods that have taught this tend to have you stand very far from the ball and the problem with that is it makes it extremely difficult to have success hitting golf shots because you’re required to make an unnatural motion which is dropping down into the ball um and a lot of people lose uh distance doing that of course and so what we’re going to do is just keep your normal distance from the ball make some swings back and forth and as you feel comfortable then I would have you just make some half swings from the setup position just like that perfect golf shot and so as you have success with shorter shots then we would move to longer shots and longer golf clubs but the idea would be the same that we want the club set up really on our impact plane because that’s all that we have to do then is Swing the club back on a single plane and return on that same plane so it’s just that motion um and then it’s going to go through on a single plane this way as we’re setting up I also feel uh this trailing elbow in by my body the leading arms out and I’m also uh tilting my upper body just very slightly uh to the back so my head would be over the back half of my stance and my leading hip is slightly forward and that’s mimicking where we need to be add impact to hit a great golf shot so all great players look like this at impact and including this set this plane so we’re going to just set up here and I also then want you to focus your attention uh more on impact and the fact that we need to get the hands leading the club head through impact and that’s one of the most important factors and so my training program teaches you how to do that step by step and what you can do here as we’re getting set up is simply from this setup position we’re going to just uh rotate the hips towards the target at the same time you’ll see what happens is the grip moves forward that’s where we want to be at impact so you could practice that a little bit and then when we make some short swings practice that and you can even hit some shots just doing that to learn the motion people who sign up for my membership are also able to send in videos of their swing through a free app and I will uh customize the concept to fit you and again the goal is to help you play your best golf ever and to improve as quickly as possible and uh the video feedback is really really critical at helping you improve your golf game it’s really simple uh to just set up your phone uh or a tablet and record the golf swing right into the app and then you share it with me uh through my program and I give you a video review back uh that’s showing you and telling you exactly what you need to do uh to improve and it’s this way that with this feedback that you can quickly improve your game most people are just spinning their wheels trying this and that and some other thing uh trying to figure it out on their own uh when it’s just going to take forever and I can help you with my guidance uh again play the best golf of your life that’s my goal is to help you do that so check out setup for impact.com let me know if you have any questions I’ll check out my other videos here on YouTube there’s a lot of content and I hope you have a great [Music] day

  1. I’m 73, and I’ve played golf since I was 13. I’m left-handed, but I play golf right-handed. Today I went to the driving range. I took a left-handed 7 iron with me. I carry that club to help me get out of situations that call for a left-handed swing. Today I tried hitting some shots left-handed using your method. I was amazed at how well I could do it. I hit the ball straight about 35 yards from the beginning. My plan for carrying a 7 iron was just to hit the ball maybe 10 feet to get clear of a tree trunk or other obstacle. But, wow, I can actually advance the ball now! I hit my right-handed shots very well. I only took a 5, 7, 9 iron today. I hit the 7 and 9 very well, but I had trouble with the 5. I was hitting it too low.

  2. Hey, Kirk….Hope you're doing well! Watched your video this evening….what kind of grip is that on your club? Take care!
