all good all right Eric if we could just maybe take us through the day maybe starting with the put the putt there on 18 yeah that was obviously a little cherry on top um especially I feel like I gave myself a lot of chances on the back and didn’t quite you know capitalize so that was a nice way to finish and even even before you made that put looking at your putting stats this week were were pretty strong and it felt like you probably left a few out there did that way all day uh yeah putting’s been great all week um you know you look at the back line you’ve got 13 which is a beautiful opportunity you got 15 um and you walk away with a bit of sour taste in your mouth but that’s golf it’s a stupid game we play and you make a 60 footer an 18 so um I’m playing great man that’s all that is yeah and then this is your first start since since the Heritage I guess what what went into the decision playing playing this week is you know leading right into the PJ or I guess what that not yeah um what’s so tricky with the category I’m in um I’ve got to play my way into these elevated events and I’ve been lucky enough to do so so I’ve played a lot of golf leading up to the elevated events and then all of a sudden you get in and it’s like you got to continue playing and then you’ve got the Mages coming so um I was sort of on the cusp of getting into El Fargo and the decision was well do I play um Byron Nelson or you know rest and catch up on some sleep and rest and so I took it off and obviously didn’t sneak into Wells but yeah I mean what a place this is you know it’s fantastic fantastic golf course and um yeah the decision was to to play golf heading into the PJ yeah okay and then um just looking at the leaderboard right now I mean it’s really you and I think Patton maybe first 13 guys on the board are only you only ones with wins on on tour oh sure going into tomorrow you think that that makes a difference knowing that you’ve kind of been there done that in a sense yeah that that’s definitely a comforting thought um as we’re all aware the corn fre guys are are hungry as well and um I’m sure a few of them have won on corn fery looking to get their first man on to us so I definitely wouldn’t write any of them off but um I mean there’s 18 holes to go and I’ve done it before so I’ll be okay the finish last year in Cabo went 800 on the back now yes sir um do you you feel like that’s always in your bag that you’re capable of doing that you know you don’t know when it’s coming right but you know in in a tournament like this where you’re going to be trailing three or four strokes the last what kind of confidence does that give you yeah that’s huge um I think every player feels like it’s somewhere in the back pocket but um having done that before and having made the putts I did on the stretch knows that if I’m right thereabouts with you know six holes to play um it could get interesting if I make a few puts so um yeah it gives me a lot of confidence yeah like everybody else this is your first time on this golf of course you said you really like it how does it fit your game um I think ball striking has always been um the strongest part of my game and in the last year or two puttings has tagged along nicely so um it’s a it’s a golf course with undulating greens unfortunately we had some rain last night so they’re on the softer side so you can kind of attack everything but um I told one of the members yesterday if this course gets firm and fast with the greens you know being sort of upside down balls everything runs away in all sides like if you start tucking pins with rough and firm greens it could play sort of like Bay Hill like it could be really really tough so um I absolutely love this golf course uh like I said it I think it fits my from a ball striking perspective last thing you had the two top 10 finishes back in February not quite as successful since then yeah was there any particular reason or just the whims of golf just the whims of golf um you feel like you’ve been playing as well as you were playing then yeah probably not you know um austa I feel like leaning into austa I was playing quite well and and um look it’s the first time I made the cut there and the three times that I’ve been there so um it’s a tricky place to figure out and I’m proud of that so but I was hoping to play a bit better and it’s just the whs of golf I think if if we look at someone like Scotty there’s a reason he’s number one in the world and you know hats off to him like he’s so consistent um and we all we all want that so um but golf’s not not not that easy he’s making it look very easy just a little follow what he said about having two wins under your belt already compared to a lot of the guys in this field who have not won does that make a bigger difference on a course like this where there isn’t the familiarity that there might be if you played here before yeah probably um but that’s it I mean it’s Saturday by now everybody knows the golf course everybody knows where to hit it um I think that’s part of the job being a pro golfer is figuring out you know come Thursday what to do so um yeah I think by now everybody’s kind of on the same playing field ER real Qui just want to ask you you got a different caddy on the back this week is that just related to qualifying or is that something that’s going to be different moving forward no um yeah ph’s got one or two things going on at home so um he couldn’t make it this week obviously I saw he got through locals um it’s interesting because I still have to qualify for the US Open as of now um so we we probably need to have a chat about how that’s going to work out but um yeah Ben Ben Hawker just on the back for this week cool thanks guys
