New adidas Distance Spikes 2024: The Avanti and Ambition | Fine Tuned To handle 800m -10k!

[Music] how’s it going guys I’m Conor from running Warehouse I’m here with lemon category manager of AI zero today we are going to be taking a first look sneak peek at the latest mid distance and distance spikes we’re coming into an Olympic year and uh spikes are pretty important on the track tell us what we have here yeah that’s exactly right you know it’s the biggest stage in the world we need to show off the best product on our athletes um so we did a full reset on our distance spikes we’ve got the Avante here for our longer distance 5K 10K and then the mid distance with the ambition for even down to his lowest 400 uh but 800 1500 Focus so being able to bring in the technology that we have in our road racing shoes how do we bring that into our spikes give the athletes the best opportunity they have to win medals um run fast times and so that’s we done now on the road we’re seeing Super Shoes with super critical Foams and of course Adidas has that Light Strike Pro what do we have Light Strike Pro here and how much of it is shoved into this midsole yeah you can see it kind of visually from the difference from the last version we’ve got quite a bit more especially in the 4ot here you’re going to feel that acceleration that bounce off of the ground um and then with this being the longer distances 5K 10K steeple chase even um we’ve got that heel pad also everything that you kind of looking for like a racing flap for the track that’s what we’re doing real nice stiff plate that we have um real good grip with um the way it’s laid out um yeah athlete testing is been phenomenal this is exactly what we’ve been wanting now from a plate or Rod setup what are both of these shoes have under the hood yeah so we’re using a plate system it’s very similar to the same material we use in the the Sprint spikes knowing how well those Works a stiffening agent basically and pairing it with our Light Strike Pro um yeah we we we have that it’s very similar across the board here but just with the Light Strike and the cushioning just being a tuned a little bit different for the the different disciplines that they’re for yeah and from a SP layout six shoe horseshoe plate on the avantage yeah so we’re going to use the six pins make sure we got that nice good grip and then the five on the ambition um plenty of grip from coming from the plate also so you know you see the little bit of cuts cutouts we want to keep the weight down as much as possible typical stuff on the as a longdistance spike from a stack height perspective how high are we looking CU we do have some rules in world Athletics yeah these fall under all the guidelines we’re obviously these are going to be on the track we need them to fall under the the guidelines so we are pushing the heights a little bit more um but it’s going to be in full regulation to make sure the athletes can can perform at the best and for runners looking to get these shoes on their feet whether they’re a mid- distance Runner with the ambition or long distance with the Avante when can they have it yeah summer 24 right in time for the Olympics um we’ll have a few just a few months earlier make sure we get the the Heat going on them get the athletes used to them but then everyone will be able to purchase them themselves and run as fast as they can in the Summer perfect if you’re looking to try out the Avante or the ambition they’ll be available here at at running Warehouse [Music]
