Turki Alalshikh has almost changed the boxing game in recent months, From Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou came all the fights we have ever wanted to see now being made. But how did Turki Alalshikh get here? How did he get Frank Warren and Eddie Hearn both working in harmony? And how comes after years of waiting for Anthony Joshua Deontay Wilder Tyson Fury and Oleksander Usyk to all fight eachother is Turki and Saudi Arabia able to make it happen now?

yes he’s now the most influential man in boxing the greatest addition to the sport in many many years deleting the politics of the rough old business bringing the kings of the game together and making the biggest and best fights finally happen but how did we get here how did this all come to be and who is behind it all well it is of course all the vision of this man the double excellent turkey alow shake and this is how he changed our beloved sport of boxing St rapping yes what a time to be alive he the start of 2024 and boxing fans have an array of Glorious fights to look forward to some already made some promised after business is taken care of along with fight cards at one point we could only dream about but it wasn’t always like this let’s rewind people all the way back to the start of 2023 the sport seemed to be in disarray the Undisputed between Fury and yusk was a Calamity of events or to Dam it down it was getting right on our [ __ ] nerves Anthony Joshua was in no man’s land and there was hardly anything to look forward to in fact the first fight of the year was ski versus fazzy temper we went a [ __ ] leave off I’d rather watch a dog do a [ __ ] in a nutshell it was pretty dull but the worst thing was it was hard to see things changing and then after Fury yusk officially collapsed and AJ underwhelmed us with a points win over Jermaine Franklin out of nowhere Simon Jordan popped up on his podcast with Spencer Oliver and he began spreading rumors of a very interesting concept there’s a a lingering observation that there is a series of fights being arranged in the Middle East that involve Fury and usk and Joshua and Wilder and the two winners of those fights meeting for The Ultimate Showdown yes so naturally our first thought was yeah all right s and you talking ballocks again mate I mean if you’ve seen Wilder and Joshua trying to make a fight there’s more chance of Ben Shalom not pulling out of a [ __ ] Pur bid you’re living in Narnia Jord me Cham but little did we know behind the scenes things were babbling up now at the time we knew about the Saudi Mega plans for sports and tourism they’d hovered around boxing with AJ and Jake Paul but their impact in other sports was what was really making the headlines shaking up the golf world with the live tour attracting Mega footballers all over the Gaff and becoming a major player in Formula 1 ultimately we knew it was only a matter of time before boxing became a part of their plans so after Simon breaking news in April a few months later in July upon the total collapse of the Undisputed us fans still had high expectations for Tyson’s next opponent and we were about to find out any day who it could be praying it weren’t Francis [ __ ] Inu but just before we did Frank Warren said two words that meant something huge was on the horizon we shouldn’t say that cuz it’s not show stopping it’s gamechanging it’s bigger than showstopping it’s going to be a game changer yes so okay I know it turned out to be a good fight in the end but at the time we said I’ll leave it out Frankie boy has that game changed he sna it against Inu but we’ve seen this [ __ ] already you’re pulling our plunker if you think this is changing anything but what we didn’t know was that this was part of a much bigger picture a new vision for the sport led by one man the one and only the double excellent turkey alow shake but who is he really and why was Frank making such broad claims well we know him now as the savior of boxing but that’s not all he’s been around the block you know he’s worked in several government sectors he’s been a film producer a poet an author even a songwriter the list goes on his most notable piece of work in the media was writing a blinding little movie a few years ago called the cello a horror film staring Jeremy Irons the bad Blok in diard fre and Tobin Bill the BL who played that nty [ __ ] in the saw franchise look the games begin in brav that one but of course turkey loves his sport he served as honorary president of several football clubs and even purchased Spanish team UD aliria for a whopping 20 million quid back in 2019 it wasn’t just an investment though he had massive plans and went on to do incredible things with the club expanding the stadium increasing seating capacity for fans and contributing € 1.2 million EUR to support our myria people during the pandemic what an absolutely Top Banana but his most notable achievement was signing an array of great talents and getting them promoted into La Liga in 2022 having been trying for over 7 years amazing stuff then in 2017 along with winning the Arab sports Personality of the year he became chairman of the general Sports Authority before moving into his current position the chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General entertainment Authority now to put that job roll into context uh how can I say it basically he’s like the bloke in your office who organizes the Christmas party but on one mental [ __ ] off massive scale because with this position he’s been given vast Financial Resources by the powers that be to fully Finance some of the most incredible entertainment on show in Saudi Arabia predominantly for the famous Riad season and he made it his mission for one of those entertaining spectacles to be a beloved sport of boxing of which he holds very dear to his heart so what Frank ultimately meant by Game Change was not just in regards to Fury and ghu kicking off the Riad season it was what the Riad season Saudi Arabia and turkey alow Shake’s influence intended to produce it was the promise of fights we have longed to see finally getting made the financials being readily available and the politics being taken out of it furri and garu was merely the Catalyst for this and it was only going to get bigger so upon the press conference for the Mega crossover fight it was clear that there was a new injection into the sport the sheer size of the event and the length they had gone to was extraordinary and when the fight trailer dropped soon after it all felt very different in a good way the cost of that trailer alone must have been mindboggling clearly no expense was spared and it was apparent that no expense was spared with the [ __ ] Brit Awards before the main event which did [ __ ] drag on a bit but still very impressive be lats and Ting fair play and after the fight just just to prove this really was a changing of the game the Undisputed that we’ve all been longing to see was finally made what had been such a difficulty 6 months prior seemed to be an easy smooth negotiation this time round and probably would not have come to fruition without the man himself but of course this wasn’t just a Tyson Fury and Frank Warren Affair no absolutely not cuz the double Excellency intended to get everyone on board and as mentioned take all the politics out of it so merely days after the fury and ghu almost out of nowhere turkey set about making our Christmas a ruddy memorable one didn’t he yes he said right get me Frank Warren again brao yes sir no problem Eddie Hearn yes we’ll have him as well yeah but they don’t get on sir no don’t worry about that I’ll salort him right out right who else can we get who’s this bloke here that’s benam sir bench oh I don’t worry about him actually but I’ll tell you what get me Callis Allen as well where’s he at the minute uh well I’ve been told he’s on holiday in cambia at the minute sir yes well get hold of him and get him flown in as as well along with that Demitri CER and any other promoters you can think of let’s get everyone together for a naughty little Day of Reckoning baby and he did just that managing to produce the most phenomenal card in history other than herovic and Mark fcking deori but otherwise absolutely blinding with the promise of Joshua Wilder should both men come through Wilder fact it up in the end but still his Excellency was about to make it happen and as the dust settled on 2023 he’s already making our 20 24 a year to look forward to we’ve got the Undisputed unfortunately postponed but still in the pipeline on May the 18th hopefully we’ve got bivel BV on the horizon Joshua and garu with awesome Parker versus Zang on the undercard and of course the fairy tale match room versus Queensbury now This brilliant Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren shootout much like his contribution to UD aliria and Alia’s people really does show that this man is all about the fans cuz it’s something we’ve wanted to see for over a decade and judging by his movements so far whatever us fans are calling for he’s looking to deliver he’s pulling all the strings and everyone’s moving to his rhythm so it’s not often we find a figure in boxing who’s dis influential but here he
