well as far as the mix Double Draw is concerned from quarterfinal stage we had seven seeds that’s the most number of seeds across all five disciplines and five different nationalities three pairs from China and as you can see two pairs from China have come through in the bottom half of the draw the defending Champions Jang way and fangang and hangdong ping will battle in out tomorrow one place remaining in the semifinals to be decided by the match we’re watching next and I should tell you about puuko and T tanachai who put out the three time finalists and two time winners shangi way and Wang Yash Yong in a thrilling quarterfinal saved two match points before coming through 26 24 in the deciding game so here come the World Champ Champions soran J who’s already played once today he’s already through into the semi-final of the men’s doubles with his men’s doubles partner Kang well uh the crowd will be heavily involved in this one there’s no doubt about it Tom jel and deline delu trying to become the first home players in a semifinal here at the French Open for 15 years and that’s across all five disciplines the last player representing France in a semifinal was p hongyang in the women’s singles back in 2009 well as you can see it’s a tall order for jel and because this is the third meeting and the previous two have been won by their opponents but as you saw the last time they met was a at the Denmark open last year 2220 in the deciding game an hour and 14 minutes so J and his partner are both left-handers won the world title last year in Copenhagen and of course this man won the doubles double Source young J 26 years of age from jungu and they’re enjoying their 15th consecutive week at their career high of s it’s their fifth appearance as a pair they were beaten finalists here actually 6 years ago lost out to shangi and wangong who I was telling you have lost earlier today in the quarterfinal Chu Jung 28 so the older of the two about 5’4 in height and in the first round they beat marelis and Lauren Smith from England the second round against the left-handed Yuki kako and his partner naaki matsutomo the all England finist from three years ago needed three games for that one so to the European championship and European game silver medalists Tom jel is 25 years of age from tour in west central France and they’re currently way down from their career high or five currently at 13 on the world rankings 11 weeks though at world number fives at the beginning of last year deline delu is also 25 years of age from SEL in the suburbs of Paris a 5′ 7 and a half and they have had some terrific results so far in the first round against spat and Shon Jamie Li and then two straight games against the a beaten finalist from last year and the winners of the German open last week the two left-handers Tank Man and SE yet bir and horbeck of Belgium is our umire for this one and Chris Yip from Hong Kong China is the service judge so Ste quickly before we get underway uh just tell me who won the toss of the coin and who chose what um the French won the coin toss and elected to either s or receive but um it was the Koreans who got to chose end and they chose the interesting yesterday I remember that uh the French combination didn’t choose ends when they won the toss of the [Applause] coin yesterday they chose to serve I’m guessing so that might be the same again they’ve chosen the same again ladies and gentlemen on my right s j and Chu Jung [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Korea and on my left Tom jel and delin delu France to serve to love so the last of the four quarterfinals gets underway and that’s a little ominous isn’t it well the last time these two pairs played we saw that S Young J and cheru Jung had won 2220 in the deciding game but the thing that really stands out about their match in oza was the fact that the French combination were a game and 189 up in the second and somehow win yeah that was the St one two [Music] and since then and until this tournament sheill and hadn’t won a match that’s right I’m sure that the psychology of losing against the world champions when in such a commanding position didn’t help their state of mind in uh future tournaments but I can’t believe that was the only reason they’ve struggled no I don’t think so they took a break after French Open in Ren yeah to prepare for the last push up towards Olympic qualification and be well prepared for the Olympics as well they have a great chance of Co [Applause] what a net shot there by deline Del Ru take a look at [Music] this yeah you J very nearly got it back now earlier this year CH Jung was struggling with a a hand injury if you remember Steam and when we watched them in Malaysia and then India the following week yeah I lost in two quarterfinals in those two tournaments the world champions and SE SE was also struggling no he had just got married he just got married he”s been on honeymoon that’s right Serv over four short yeah got what it deserved over 5 [Music] [Applause] four 6 [Applause] four he a that’s a good smash so over 56 wasn’t a whole lot of space straight down the line there he managed to find it made it awkward for Tom XEL 60 [Applause] do you have any suggestions Steen as to how tactically Shel and Del Ru should be approaching this match it it sounds um it sounds trivial but it as almost always for European pairs it’s about um getting the shuttle below the tape um on their opponent’s side on their opponent inside and they definitely have the abilities to some of to do the French parab badminton team I believe yes lovely to see them here sorry Ste um I would also uh try and get chuo away from the front court and then uh attack with the variation super important that delin Del is alert on the front court and sort of can do one of two things either maintain the initiative or uh try to put it away if um if um Tom Shel have been able to create a good opportunity there’s going to be a battle for the um front Court I’m certain of that that went under yeah that’s over situation and fifth sixth seven eth shot I don’t think there’s anybody really content in in [Applause] lifting oh that’s a lovely [Applause] shot Eric coyer former Olympic champion and now president of the bwf the bton World Federation number of bwf personnel here toh watch this which is in essence an Olympic uh test event to test the venue but it is of course one of our six Super 750 events one of the elite tier tourament on the HSBC bwf World Tour so it’s doubling up in in two respects this event moved forward from normal um date in week [Applause] 43 oh that’s a there go 9 yeah and that is an example of what you were alluding to Steen get cheeru Jun off the net she can be vulnerable on defense oh that wasn’t the best of serves but it was a super return Serv over 10 saw them yesterday they weren’t looking solid in their services the French pair no I thought so too hey oh that’s too big big deception there from right that was easy readable yeah and it means that the world champions San J and Cher J have a two-point don’t play a lot of challenge um when she challeng back at the net when you have good discipline Tom be ready then to play the half and right now when we have high position we push a little bit too much to the record in front of them and like you did in the one of the last Val open the court and and over yeah okay so remember that and still every time we have the attack get the very of window [Applause] [Music] rally well there was some talk there from Kim neelon about discipline the court yeah um when they were in good position he felt they played too much directly at the Koreans to the racket instead of playing in front of them or over them and they mentioned an example where they played over them it’s a bad idea to challenge the Koreans in terms of ragged reflexes 10 11 in the flat [Applause] game and then he said something when we have the attack then when you do this the first shot and then I couldn’t hear it and he said then we’re winning was that as when we played steep or whatever did you manage to hear that I didn’t manage to hear it Su 12 10 okay play [Music] hey yeah good anticipation over 11 12 super important to get SE to move before he’s allowed to hit and when when the Koreans get on the attack especially when SE gets on the attack he’s very good at controlling the first shot too high service fault call too high called on deline delu 131 so difficult for us to tell these perspects little devices and that’s what the service judge uses and you can see the the line across the pur there and the two uh bits of perspects the line has to uh line up with each other when the service judge is looking through and that’s how they tell whether it’s below 1.15 me Mark Ser over 12 13 [Applause] service over 14 12 not many long rallies at the moment no it’s I mean I think it’s because the Tom they know that it’s super important that they play according to the um game plan that means that you go for it 100% and sometimes you’re successful and then it works and at other times you’re struggling and then you’re losing the points quite quickly well there was total confusion between the two French players there [Music] yeah in my humble opinion I think Del delu should have made move forward and tried to defend that [Applause] block oh good flick serve very good Fleck serve 16 12 by su and CH also flicking a lot to delin Del look at the placement of that super vulnerable in forehand defense there especially with su’s left hand steep attack and they’re just fing on the pressure the Koreans at this crucial stage yeah and that that might work that shot against other pairs but it’s very very difficult when you’re that far below the tape you somehow have to take your medicine and and lift it and say okay well played has four cheap points and now just three points away from the opening game the reigning world champions that’s going wide no that’s a super lift exactly on the line 19 [Applause] 12 brilliant that’s a couple of times the Korean have left theame French combination absolutely stranded out of position yeah and it’s a lovely way to bring out game point opportunities lost the last part of the game here 9-2 that’s the and chel fault game fault is called it’s game it’s game see has picked up on it the others haven’t first game one by deemed to have either touched the net 212 or taken it before it crossed over I’m not convinced [Music] either I think it was a long shot to win the open game W 12 in 16 [Applause] minutes returns now probably can push a little bit harder if we have the slow side so so we can open the court okay and the same with Ed the fck Ser a little bit more to special to her yeah remember it’s okay be loo and the defense play over her go to the C again and then soft defense and then he try to turn it around hey come on believe Now new set new game yeah come on Court 1 20 seconds Court 1 20 [Applause] seconds they have heavy strapping on that left I don’t know whether it’s a hamstring issue or whether it’s a thigh muscle she’s got to get back on court she’s just applied that yeah but but that is not consistent with what we saw in the previous match Len was given a warning a yellow card and here a verbal warning is I I I don’t mind which one of it it is as long as it’s consistent yeah oh they’re stranded again that’s such a clever shot beautifully executed by S Young [Applause] Jake that’s that’s the difficult part it’s it’s not only done by getting it below the tape because C he can play Creative shots [Applause] oh I think something happened there made the wrong move outside of the picture I think [Music] it’s maybe her hip yeah Del delu go go same one [Applause] two [Music] that’s great play yeah the way um they maneuvered Chu junk from the back court to the front Court [Music] 31 [Applause] 41 I think the French pair need to be awfully careful at the moment I think it looks to me as if they’ve lost a bit of belief they need to go really hard for the next few points to try and restore that belief in themselves good two 2 [Music] 4 [Applause] excellent s over 5 [Music] [Applause] [Music] two oh it got the neck cord it got badly deflected and that’s why deline delu missed that one couldn’t readjust in time super play by J by blocking the first two where sh trying to play with the [Applause] pace good flank landed on the [Applause] line and the fans here at the Adidas Arena doing their level best to raise the spirits of the French [Applause] players yeah again confusion yeah good play is that because of lack of match play do you think uh since the last French Open I don’t know perhaps it seems to me like delin delu is moving back to a position where it becomes unclear whether she’s actually taking uh shots to the backline and the Koreans are immediately exploiting it yeah thank you it just seems that too often they they’ve both been left stranded or this hesitation who’s going for [Applause] what I think the French combinations is is considerably weaker when doind dur is away from the front court so a clear plan for what to do when she’s at the back court is is super important and when they’re in the defense then that’s very very difficult weathered the storm the French pair over 4 seven [Applause] [Music] can all right I don’t know it it might work at times but in the long run against the world champions or the best Chinese pairs I just don’t think that defense is um is competitive the Crouch defense yeah I agree I mean it it used to be the case goodness me back even before my day yeah but but the game is developed since then hasn’t it and I think developed and and it also affects your overall confidence that you can’t play the lifts that you need to play because you’re too vulnerable in the defense yeah brilliant play by s j that was what I was alluding to in the um opening game that he’s so good at just maintaining the initiative playing a drop shot first and making his way forward on court the shots look the same excellent disguised drop [Applause] [Music] shot that’s why she’s swung over [Applause] 59 [Applause] oh that’s well left little bit of sideways drift taking that wide of the mark [Applause] 115 interval so to the mid game interval and it’s a six-point Advantage for the reigning world champions sang J and J [Applause] J 20 seconds Court one 20 seconds thank you [Applause] 115 well sheel and Del Ru desperately need to try and turn this around you’re there to become the first home players in a semi-final the French Open for 15 years any ideas how they can try and do that uh I think it’s difficult it’s uh sort of like Desperate Measures now 125 one game down uh so so um it’s not I’m not certain it’s going to work but um try and open up the diagonal between the korean’s backand at the net and the long forehand of um of su so basically targeting the backhand of CH Jong at the net and see if you can get an advantage there but it’s not like they haven’t tried to do it it’s just um and and I mean logic logically the two Koreans are player for player they have better skills yeah call two high SJ this [Applause] time [Applause] Ser over 146 yeah you’re right steam that defense breaks down too easily doesn’t it Del again Chay is standing at the front Court where she’s [Music] [Applause] confident 156 there not situations like that um where a better defense is needed uh wouldn’t have made any difference because the lift was so short but it’s the ability to if you’re a little bit below the tape play the back line and and know that you can survive we saw this mix double earlier today with the J way against the tires it was a brilliant match and we saw the huge work rages the two female players had in that um yeah in that match and that that’s lacking a little bit here well coupled with the fact that the French pair are being caught out of position too often I mean that last rally I mean there was a huge gap down she’s forehand [Applause] Corner good flick serve 1 perhaps we also have the answer to how that could happen back in Denmark open that they came back from 918 down the Koreans because if they play close to their a game they are a better pair yeah at the moment [Music] go that’s cool good this is probably last chance for for the French pair to really get on a bit of a [Applause] [Music] run that’s WR with the back line he missed it this time Su but he’s so quick on it there in that corner where there should be some possibilities and that’s where they’re not really able to to open the court enough and and drag him away from the midcourt area that’s well played o challenge challenges called in it’s not that I’m that certain it was wide but they need the points she and der and it was close enough to challenge in my [Applause] opinion challenged unsuccessful good call by the line judge once again I don’t think we’ve seen the correct challenge so far the SE that’s very encouraging especially if these line judges are some of the ones coming back at the Olympics yeah have been [Applause] excellent 198 two points away from their first semifinal of the Year CJ and Cher you join [Applause] good Smash in between the two k [Applause] out wide of the center line match point9 so Match Point opportunities for the raining world champions s J and J Jun and that’ll do very commanding performance by San J and cheru junk 2112 219 just 35 minutes for their Victory and that was impressive and that means that sorang J has two semifinals tomorrow obvious disappointment for both and and home fans here I’m sure they hoped for a more competitive match it was really rather one-sided in the [Music] end so confirmation once the game of that score line 2112 219 and Su J and cheru Jung the current world champions will play against the former world champions hro and T tanachai in tomorrow’s [Music] semifinal [Music] it’s [Music] [Music] know [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] welcome back to this wonderful Adidas arena for quarter finals day here at the yonic French Open well next up we have more Korean players it’s women’s doubles this time so and Jong and Kim he are up against the defending champions for

So happy the french pair is finally out. Enjoyed the quiet game so much without their screaming😂
Interesting to see Marin’s old coaches on the French side 4:37
French are out! Thank goodness 😂😂😂
Poor, French Team, thinking they will gain anything from Rivas. He only joined them to get advantages for Marin in Paris2024. Popov won in German Open, but because of his father's coaching.
