Celtic has effectively clinched their 54th Scottish Premiership title following a dramatic 2-1 victory over a ten-man Rangers squad. The intense match, filled with pivotal moments, saw Celtic maintain their lead in the standings with only a few games left in the season.

welcome to the old firm reaction here on plz soccer’s YouTube channel I’m Peter Martin I’m delighted to say ruffy and Blair are here with me to look back over an exhilarating 97 minutes at Celtic par where Celtic eventually prevailed by two goals to one against the 10 men of Rangers well it was wasn’t a classic for football certainly a classic for um mistakes sitters red cars Fair bit of uh consternation and of course no shortage of discussion Ry yeah uh I think it was very tense at the end obviously Rangers threw everything at it seltic just couldn’t put the game away you know chance after chance obviously the penalty Miss as well but uh it made it a we bit exciting right till the end if you want to give us your comments on the game then why not get involved across uh Twitter Facebook and YouTube as well you can give us your comments on how you think your team played did they deserve to win did they deserve to lose um give us your thoughts on individual performances as well it’s always the key in a game like this some players step up to the plate and can handle the atmosphere and some just it’s not the occasion for them uh three goals could have been a whole lot more H to be honest with you Ria if anything you would have expected Celtic to uh have a strong period of dominance playing against 10 men but it didn’t quite materialize that way no it didn’t I think the first 15 20 minutes of the second half it looked as if it was going to be that way there was a lot of control of the ball in Midfield McGregor ory hatti on the ball quite a lot but it fizzled out you know I think apprehension in there you know lack of quality in the final third as well so let Rangers get back into the game because with 15 minutes to go obviously Rangers had to throw everything at it I think Rangers chances were all hope you know more than anything else just launching anything into the box looking for a we a break here and there but Celtic created enough chances in the last 15 minutes to put the game to bed yeah but if I’m being brutally honest um I think a lot of Rangers fans might be looking and thinking to themselves that was an opportunity lost if Celtic were uh poor Rangers needed someone uh that could basically step up a wee better of quality maybe put his foot in the ball maybe put a a better delivery into the box because it was always going to be a half chance yeah it certainly was but I mean we spoke about it on Friday you know the first goal is always important in these games and what a first goal it was you know it gave the the whole stadium a lift the supporters and the players so it put Rangers on the back foot a wee bit but uh I think both of them deserve a lot of credit for putting a lot of effort into the game but as you said there was a we bit of lack of quality yeah what’s the general feeling out there across the internet player yes I think a mixture of relief and excitement among Celtic fans after seeing it through there it’ll be a little bit edgy at the end of course you can get in touch with the over all three feeds on YouTube X and on Facebook Steve McDonald here he’s commented on the YouTube feed a good day at work um so I think Celtic fans they’re pretty content with the fact they got over the line even though albe it may have been a little more difficult than they anticipated and they end up yeah let’s look at the uh the actual game itself Ry first goal um O’Reilly I looked at some of the stats and when you look at that first half it was coming because you had a rally with three shots on goal McGregor already had three shots on goal butland has ever um at his best um but it was coming and eventually oy got the Breakthrough yeah and I think I put the ball in the back of the net I think Callum McGregor deserves all the credit a fantastic run from a Midfield area into the 18 yard box and seen the pass and maybe obviously delivering into the box for a rally and he just stepped into it I think Jack Buton was unsighted a we bit you know I didn’t think he expected it to go in the near post but I’ll credit to McGregor and o yeah um give us your thoughts on your social media plan on this one um whatever platform you’re on you can give us your thoughts on whether you think Celtic deserves it what about that red card for John lrom it’s a day to forget if you look at an own goal and a red card in the game it’s a night of misery for you it’s one of those ones Ry I think many an old firm player has said to me you just lock yourself away in a darken room and don’t take any calls yeah I’d be hoping they could maybe go to Turkey tomorrow instead of the end of the season you know his move but uh you know unfortunately you know I don’t know what he was trying to do with the own goal he was just all over the place just stuck his leg out and hit off him but as far as the the red card is concerned I I don’t see how anybody in the right mind can see that that wasn’t a red card it had all the credentials it was a lunge for five or 10 yards his studs were up and he caught the player quite high up a very very dangerous tackle could have been a leg break and uh I don’t think he any any queries at all yeah what did you make of the red card give us your thoughts on that prior to that of course uh MAA burst down the left hand side roughy puts the cross in lungstrom uh seems to be square on with his own goalkeeper just puts his foot out directs it into the back of the goal and then it’s just misery yeah it he never tracked the Midfield Runner and he found himself I think five yards behind the ball and he was desperately trying to get back and covered but he wasn’t getting back quick enough and unfortunately he was just getting into the area too fast for his own liting you know when the ball him in there and I think he was just confused of what he do with the thing and it just right the back of the net yeah Paul Hogan says three points is three points fair play to Rangers for carrying on and pushing the champions again uh it’s the first title race in 20 years but still the same outcome Celtic will be Champions I wonder what most Rangers fans will think of maybe they thrown more caution to the wind Blair there’s actually an interesting comment here from Drew McMaster on Facebook who says he’s got to question clemont’s team selection today now who knows what that could be in reference to I mean a few people were questioning perhaps not starting red van yelas Todd canwell of course left out it’ll be interesting to see in the coming hours days and of course weeks F those will be seen as the right calls yeah that’s the other thing about it R if you if you lose a game everybody starts questioning who you’ve selected in the game yeah I think he identified right away that uh Celtic were going to be dominant in the Midfield so I think leaving out canwell who’s not really going to make tackles in there he’s not going to close people he’s the kind of guy that when he’s on the ball he’s going to cause problem so I think initially they try to contain Celtic and he made a team selection that left him out yeah I know it’s a thought for another day but I actually I’m looking at it and thinking to myself you know C was one of those guys that I think you the manager might look at and offload in the summer if you are a high-profile player who’s been signed for Rangers and you can’t start in an old firm game there’s something far wrong yeah well there seems to be a we bit of things going on behind the scenes it’s not that long ago that in the European game he hold him after a we while because he wasn’t following instructions you know there seems to be some managers when they come in you know have their ideal player who they want that them to play their way but the player himself plays his own way and I think K’s that kind of player and I have to say on on his day can’t well you know as a match winner is somebody that gets you excited when on the ball but when you’re playing a team game as we are now managers seem to think that they can leave these kind of players out yeah hi to frer Graham and lean young Gam Shannon uh lots of people just tuning in on Facebook and across Twitter as well offering their opinion thank you to so many of you um who have come on and given uh your opinion on Facebook feed as well because there’s a fair few people in Celtic fans especially delighted with the win because that really is all that’s matters it gets six points six points the difference between uh the two sides Ry now we were saying it was winner bust yesterday on the program suddenly Celtic are six points clear they’ve got a better goal difference you would expect them to close it out now yeah I mean I know uh Philip clont said losing isn’t the end of the world but uh I think after the day he’ll reflect on it and six points with two games to go you know s sorry Celtic at home against s in the last game Rangers have to go to T Castle so you have to see everything stacked in Celtics favor yeah um I I think quite a lot of people some Rangers fans on here a little critical of John Lindstrom with the tackle yep um M1 1872 here on the YouTube feed Lindstrom cost Rangers any chance to get back into 2-1 then goes for a ball he was never going to win and it’ll be interesting to see the general reaction to that I know um a lot of people on social media saying it was a Stonewall red but why he’s perhaps flowing into that tackle that in a nothing area of the park uh Rie what did you make of a penalty yeah well I think uh the last the last one we had that kind of thing was was in the Cup Final with C Vickers remember C Vickers was the exact same and I think we all agreed it was a penalty but unfortunately there was a foul before that incident happened I think this was nearly identical to I think willly colum I thought he made the right decision uh when it happened it’s a it’s a pretty cheap penalty but uh unfortunately once he’s given it you’ve got to carry on yeah um it’s one of those ones which is splitting a lot of people’s thoughts here uh never a penalty or really kick diandy first uh I was watching the game at the time did he really need to go over I mean there’s a big dilemma at the moment not only here but down in England across Europe referees are being heavily criticized the officials are being heavy heavily criticized because we’re in a situation where nobody wants the game re- refereed so Willie colum is literally what six 7 yards away from it he can see it he sees the foul um or what he interprets as a foul and Steven M gets them to go back over again now more often than not we’ve we’ve been crying out for referees to make that call not to be shown frame after frame after frame and then we do not know what’s in his ear from thear official well that’s that’s the problem you know obviously Willie cins made the decision it’s a penalty thear official has said something in his ear we don’t know what it is if he said to him look you better come and have a look at that is that to say you maybe got that wrong because he’s not going to ask him to go and have a look at it he thinks he’s got it right he’s going to let him carry on and give the penalty so I think Willie colum would be pleased at the V of taking part of it and uh given him a sort of a double whammy that H they’re agreeing it was a penalty what did you make of the referee I think he was okay I think Willie I mean it’s very very difficult for referees I mean we know a lot of them you know in a Rangers Celtic game we everything that’s at stake you know the tensions are high they’ve got to make sure they get the right decisions I think he was a bit over officious sometimes at some of the incidents but uh there was a lot of stupid fils going on so the players really have to have a look at themselves as well silly silly fils in the wrong area but uh I don’t think he’s going to come out in the bad side of it I I looked at Willie at I looked at Willie at one point and again uh you know he he basically turn around and shouts at dim Man I’m The Ref as if he needs reminding we still have that teacher and P attitude to it with a lot in your day Ry I mean was that the type of thing that could you actually speak to a referee Could you actually have a bit of banter yeah I think so I think now they’re scrutinized more you know I think they’re supervisors every game and and we all know that uh as far as referees are concerned they want to climb the ladder just like football players they want to get into European games they want to be at European tournaments we don’t have any referee at the Euros which is a a big Miss so these referees want to be there so they have to make sure that they get it right cuz uh they’re scrutinized and having a game yeah I I think there’ll be a more than a few uh Celtic fans on there uh just looking at the whole game the situation that now um The Game’s finished Celtic have get six points of an advantage they must think the title is over online yeah maybe a little bit of 220 hindsight from Chris Clark I was never concerned we wouldn’t win this match I’m not sure that may be the case with all Celtic fans with the last sort of 5 10 minutes there Steph M also on the YouTube feed got it over the line but well played to the 10 man of Rangers for the second half if we look a couple of the stats from the afternoon Celtic really dominant they had 68% of the possession with Rangers only at 32 16 shots off Target Five On Target to Rangers seven and of course only one on target with that sesser’s goals s take out on top and Corners Rangers just slightly more F so yeah like you’d expect Celtic with more of the ball after that red card and potentially running out with the winners yeah um quite a lot of people uh after a game roughy like a noise up uh I think Tommy Schartz say a 10- men second half moral Victory which again uh relates back to previous games um but for all the fans who be gloating I think football purus will look at another way I thought Celtic were you know at times uh wasteful um perhaps an indication overall of the story of their season unable really to kill off teams when they they’ve got them by the jugular yeah I thought in the last 20 minutes they were lost the the way lost ideas you know you would have thought with hatat and McGregor and I thought ay had a good game but nobody actually putting their foot in the ball nobody dictating the play it seemed to be all just panicking and passing it about and we all getting it wide and then nobody in the box so I think the the caller is right there I think the Rangers deserve a lot of credit you know because everybody thought they were going to going and be three four whatever you know so from that point of view I think Rangers The Players themselves uh in a good show for their team and their supporters but uh the last 10 15 minutes I think Celtic it’s okay saying yeah they looked as if they were trying to see the game out but they were letting Rangers come F further and further into the game and although Rangers were just throwing everything into the box it wasn’t a lot of skill get involved there the only other thing I would say in that Ry although we’re talking about the how poor Celtic have been over the season but they still managed to get the job done the flip side of that I think for Rangers fans who would have been watching that game in pubs right across the country because obviously there are no fans um from the opposition they would have been watching that game and saying well ultimately doesn’t matter for the great effort there wasn’t really any great I didn’t think there was any great quality in the Rangers side that could actually sway the game their way you needed you needed somebody who was dangerous to come on or a dangerous situation where they could take advantage of it and they didn’t really have that I mean apart from the Des or goal so soon after Celtic had gone ahead there were moments where you were looking for a calm Fabio Silva shoots it wide across the goal Fabio Silva brilliant ball into the box he’s six yards out he’s got a free header heads up wide yeah but I think getting back to the point a lot of Rangers supporters will be upset about that you’re talking about a canwell you know a canwell on his game the way Rangers were pressing in the the last 15 minutes is somebody could have been on the ball who could have put a good into the box you know could had a shot at goal so I think a lot of Ranger suppor will be asking why you know that player wasn’t available yeah um more reaction yep it’s um clous here on the YouTube feed just picking up on that point you were talking about there um Celtic are way too wasteful not putting games to bed but very exciting for the neutral hopefully we can do the double of course he must be a Celtic fan there and interesting on a couple of points on the red card CB 55 says games are not played by frame but in real time wrong call interesting one I think that’s going to be a hotly debated one over the next 24 hours and be on especially on Monday as well um I always like to read I don’t know about you ruffy you know what I’m like I like to read the odd noise up here and there um you happy for me to do that I know Blair was Blair Blair knows what’s coming I just thoughted I just thoughted read this out because uh Steven maali look at the three stes you’re in in this by the way um looking for stupid excuses you’re giving the losers credit um as usual I won’t mention the BBC but he says as usual hard to take all three are gutted duders uh and Stephen then comes back on because obviously he he can’t split paragraphs um he says not one of them is congratulated Celtic and he then says get it you know where the sun don’t shine I just thought I’d read that just to give you an indication of Stevens’s level of punditry and and punter so he’s not happy um but the overall thing and stepen had years that worked we are giving Celtic credit for winning that you want to analyze a game they’re a Poor Side they’ve been a PO side all season they’ve been four great first half perform four great 45 minutes and a really good performance against Hearts last week they’re top of the table and they deserve credit brandan Rogers has taken a fair bit of criticism but they’re going to win the league yeah they certainly hard but uh I think if the the guy’s honest enough it has been 45 minutes for a long time now for the last month I don’t think he’s probably been to a game where Celtic have put in 90 minutes and if they could put in 90 minutes with the intensity that they have in the first 45 I’m sure they would be running well out of sight but they’re not well out of sight you know and I think if he’s H honest enough again the first 45 minutes a day were very very good the two goals were were excellent you know I thought they were the better side but the second half from I think if Brandon Rogers takes a step back and looks at that second half I think he’ll be disappointed that he never never seen that game off very easily I can see the headline now ruffy appeals for common sense really uh another Point here which I think I’m only right and proper to mention because we never Sher the issue we’ll give you the opinion some you like some you don’t um James Tavern you’re going to take a corner and just a barrage of uh you know objects thrown towards them I think one of them might have been a lighter I’m not quite sure what the the couple that he picked up and handed to the referee but you know it’s as simple as as this any I mean we’re going to con condemn the Thugs who throw these things that could injure a player but no matter how many pundits condemn this thuggish Behavior it is not down to us or anybody else you know it’s down to the authorities to catch them on CCTV and arrest them that is the the the the long and short of it Ry arrest people who think it’s okay to throw an object that could injure a person yeah and I think in all fairness to the police you know that they although we say oh why you not doing something about it I think they do check the CCTV I think they do thoroughly try and find find out 100% Who these people are and and and if they are identified I do believe that they do take action it might take a we while but certainly they’re better getting caught because we saw the people in that corner it was very evident to everybody who was there let’s look at the the main conten issue which swayed the game I think heavily in Celtics favor which is the red card you you mentioned it earlier there but I think we’ve got to go back to it and analyze it at Full Tilt um I looked at and I went okay I I looked at it and I thought that’s definitely a booking on the first replay after it I looked and said that’s a red card and at that point you all you need to do Ry in my book is say to the referee you’ve given him a yell have a look at it within 30 seconds it doesn’t take a lawyer you know or a KC or whatever in the highest in illegal profession or any of the best referees the time it’s taken just go and say have a look at it and you don’t need to constantly go frame by frame by frame one at high speed three different angles bang make your call and then the referee I think has to do it quicker because I don’t know if you noticed by the time they they’d gone to VAR for certain decisions it flattens the crowd it stops the game it slows the momentum yeah but I think the VAR in this instance gave Willie colum a help in hand you know because obviously he’s only seen it once we get a chance to see it replay replay replay replay and we can judge if it’s getting worse or worse or better or better as we go so whoever’s looking at it in the V has helped him out with this one because he’s got a chance to see see it again you can see what are the what are the rules again I remember a referee telling me it’s a lunge from distance it’s your stud shown you know and the force that you’re getting in with yeah and and they they three tick all B cuz for me you know I think it was dangerous he caught the player as well I don’t think I don’t think it was intentional I think it was just a rash foolish Challenge in a wrong part of the Park yeah I I think Rie I think there’s a real danger and I think this is where we’ve got to get get quickly to decisions before you know lots of people start to really clamor and say look stop the v i mean Sweden has already gone against using V in this country certainly down in England where they’ve not been happy I thought they’d settled down last season and then all of a sudden it just reared its ugly head and gathered Pace the consternation the anger towards it I don’t think you should have a situation where you’re constantly going frame by frame on it I think you’ve got a 60-second window where you say to the referee I think you’ve made a clear and obvious error go to the television and have a look at it and then all communication stops it’s at that point to say you’ve made a clear and obvious error we think it’s a red card because we think this end the story stop the communication the referee then goes looks at it quickly he’s get 60 seconds three different angles and then he makes a call if we don’t do that roughly if we don’t speed it up if we don’t get to a point of putting pressure on them then quite simply you’re going going to have this long drawn out situation which is going to slow our game yeah I think you’re 100% you know but I think Neil dast is already been on saying that this is initially a start we’re going to make loads of mistakes we’re not he actually was on somewhere saying that we don’t have the same facilities as down in England we don’t have anywhere near you know the cameras and any anywhere near the technical stuff as well so it just shows you how hard the referees have got to react to it but I just think as long as get the V right it’s the ones that are wrong and obviously they’re the ones we start talking about but I think this one was 100% yeah um overall feeling yeah it generally seems that people are agreeing with you it was definitely a red card studs up Reckless tackle equals red card I golf J here on YouTube saying of course it’s a red card didn’t need V EAS road to send Off Mariah Welsh on lrom no contact straight red no VAR yeah um so I don’t think anybody’s I’m sure there’ll be other people who will have an alternate view on it in VR always uh causing a split depending on uh which team you support that if you can be rational and if you can have an objective look on these things when it’s filled with so much passion and so much is at stake H even after that ruy at 10 men I thought Celtic would go on and start picking them off they weren’t able to do that no uh again you know I don’t think hatti is up to full speed you know he’s sort of attired as a game went on and obviously was substituted uh I think K McGregor’s not up to full speed so I think the longer the the game went on I mean I know every time we we talk about Celtic and where already said their possession of the ball they’re on the Celtic players are in possession of the ball more than any of the other team so that must be tiring you know as a game goes on and I thought as a game went on Celtic players tired I think a lot of them tired even the field backs I thought tired and obviously Rangers come into the game only had Plan B throw the ball into the box and hope we got a we bounce here and there but it never happened for them uh the stats um on the shots on target shots off of Target um obviously it’s going to be heavily in Celtics favor what was the overall picture yep so Celtic 16 shots off Target with five on target Rangers seven shots off Target with only one on Target and although it is um is down to 10 men in that first half you would have to say Rangers will be coming away disappointed they only did manage one shot on target ruy you’ll be pleased to know you’re also getting battered on Facebook as well as well as YouTube um nonsense ruy no Celtic supporter thought it would be three or four or an easy game this was all about the result done and now on in a good position no I would disagree with that I think the other team goes down to 10 men you know with the players at Celtic have got you would expect to get three anyway you obviously missed the penalty it would have been three but after that there was chances left right and Center they just couldn’t take it I think if anybody saw the second half of the game they would automatically have said Celtic are going to go and win this quite easy yeah um I do think he has a point though which is quite simply roughy that Celtic wouldn’t really care about the I always remember K of Le s his uh you know chances missed goal opportunities goals that hit the back of the net uh the score line and what’s at stake is all that matters when you look at the history records it will say Celtic win that game uh they’ll not be worrying about maty’s penalty Miss they’ll be looking at it and saying six points clear over the course of the season the best team wins the league and they’ve been the best team but I think some Celtic fans will look and say Well it hasn’t been great to watch it hasn’t been that huge spark that Brendan Rogers thought but I think I I think is there a flip side to that to say listen you got to give him credit he’s a title winning manager shortly Because unless Celtic have a Monumental collapse that game there is the decisive one no I think everybody likes to win cups there’s no doubt about that but the league is the the premier Tournament of the season the Premier League is where you get your money you know where you go into the Champions League where you earn the big money so that is a be all in end though winning cups you know particularly the last cup of the the season always sends away the fans very very happy but uh the league I would think for Rangers and Celtic would been the the pr objective right at the beginning of the Season yeah you’re right you know I think Celtic supporters would say it’s not been as you say free flowing but I think it’s because I miss missing J missing abada you know they were big big players for kyogo you know I think he suffered as well I know I know but I mean that’s the kind of play that they were playing getting the ball quick today too flashing the ball into the box Koga being a yard ahead everybody else that hasn’t been happening this year yeah um the overall tale of the tape is that Celtic have 87 points and Rangers have 81 the goal difference is seven so there would need to be um a collapse against Kik and S miren for Celtic and a huge switch in the goal difference as well in Rangers favor with two wins yep yep it does seem like a big task now for Rangers coming into the end of this season as is always the case after these games opinions and a running high after this GM on YouTube here he is calling for Philip clont to be out and said Derek McKinnis has long been the man for the job at Rangers so a few interesting opinions getting thrown about after that result here today yeah since we start since we started this program 11 years AG uh roughy 11 years ago um some fans even on social media were more than happy to give a manager longer than seven or eight games to do things um I remember the days we used to give a manager a season just to bed in not now there’s a quick chop him um I think uh you know on a rational and sensible Outlook I think Philipe Clon will look to the summer and say right A lot of these guys are not my players time to go yeah and I think car was the the one that we talked about earlier on you know he’s got a style of player that he will like uh he’s going to have a couple of players moving on maybe more than that through their own decisions but I think he’ll have certain players there that are maybe just just not ready to be in his 11 Liv starting so they may have to move on as well yeah what do you think Brendan will do will he have as equally as big a clear out or will he just Tinker with it no you keep shouting about a number 10 you know I’m sure he must be listening at some stage that oh he’s listening he just listens to see if there’s any negative stuff no I think uh Celtic supporters will will expect obviously we start talking about money again coming into the club and what’s in the bank you know they’ll expect players to keep coming in you know there will be Surplus there obviously for Celtic is as well but uh you know I think that’s what makes the the close season interesting the problem with it Ry is and again it’s with every team uh especially in Scotland with Celtic and Rangers it falls into two halves the way you look at the the football I always feel as there a greater criticism that comes Celtic way from August to December because quite simply he has to recruit players in the summer transfer window that can play Champions League football can they get them out of a group stage which would be viewed as a huge success um Gordon Sten Managed IT Neil Lenin Managed IT and an po cogo didn’t manage it so Brendan somehow has to try and engineer a team capable of doing that but he has to recruit players which he’s been denied in the two previous transfer Windows yeah well obviously the disappointing are failing in the European competitions as far as Brendan Rogers is concerned will be disappointing probably is one of the reasons why he came back to to Celtic to prove that he could do well in Europe uh I’m led to believe he wasn’t particularly happy with the the the window Sig is this time you know so he obviously made his point of what kind of player he wants to bring in at this moment in time apart from the the three top Midfield players that we’ got I don’t think Celtic are any further on in Champions League football yeah um and again it’s amazing how we all start to broaden uh the overall picture but the upshot of all is that Celtic barring a catastrophe today was a defining moment six points clear look as if the odds on now to lift the title brandan Rogers has come back he’s delivered the title some people have suggested was he brought back for title was he brought back to uh try and build a team that could do something in Europe not obviously um win the champions league but at least get some kind of progression out of the group stages give us your thoughts on that but give us your thoughts on the overall game because uh the performance this is all that matters from a number of fans and other opinion coming in an interesting one here from Craig Reynolds on the YouTube said 2-1 flattered Rangers C were brilliant for 40 minutes should have finished Rangers off fair play to the referee for sticking with his decision for the penalty also an interesting point here from Jason Christie who said Rangers needed their fans there today and you’ve got to wonder maybe when Rangers pushing at that very end what even a small section of Rangers fans could have done to really get them over the line at that end part is a it’s such a great Point Rie because because for me uh quite simply the the Rangers hierarchy have ended up by their stance um have ended up really kind of a shooting their own team in the foot in the biggest of all games because I am almost certain that 7,000 Rangers fans in that ground just suddenly erupting after deser scores and egging the team on and saying come on throw caution to the wind it’s amazing how a huge crowd can do it even in The Cauldron of Celtic Park when they would be in the minority 7,000 fans would have made a huge difference and quite simply I think and I’ve been hyper critical of them all along in the last few years the Rangers board cailed and pandered to a group of people who just didn’t want to see 7,000 Celtic fans there and now look what’s happened yeah but I mean we have the GU we lenino and Li mull they’re guys who played in these big games you know and and they’ve openly admitted that yeah 7,000 of your fans in there give you a lift when you come out there I’ve never played in an old firm game I’ve played in a Scotland England game we a 100,000 at it and when you walk out there and the majority of the fans are your your supporters it’s a tremendous lift that you get and when you are trying to win the game if they’re right behind you and egging you on you do lift your game there’s no doubt about that but for me today 60,000 supporters here just willing their team on got Celtic over the line yeah and I did say to you that eventually what would happen was they would get to a position where they’ go well we’re not good back to 7,000 we’ll give you a we token gesture of 2 and a half thousand so I’ll make another prophetic statement to you 2 and a half thousand fans next season will bring all sorts of problems for Celtic fans in that uh broom loone Road stand with a barrier and then Rangers fans there that is a recipe for disaster well I think the police have already come out and said know it’s very very difficult to monitor their games at the best of times manage it I know and you have to get the they get the fans into the game you have to get them out the game you have to make sure that there’s no trouble within the area that they’re policing so you’re right the segregation will it will lose numbers for the game as well because obviously that area is going to have no supporters on it yeah give us your thoughts on the fans would you like to see 7,000 Rangers fans at Celtic park or 7,000 Celtic fans over in the broom loan Road end uh being allowed to cheer on their team um it certainly I think adds to it I know Neil on Sky Neil Lenin one of our own pundits as well um mentioned the fact that it’s it’s one of the uh biggest derbies in the world it is a huge Derby but it’s lost I think that edge that attraction of having a huge away support there technically we know it’s not one of the best Aries in the world not by a long shot um but it’s certainly up there for that factor of people looking in and and and and just the Rivalry the hatred Is Not Great Ry but the Rivalry and of course the spectacle that 7,000 a away supporters can create yeah I think anybody who’s anybody’s been into a game and and been in there and and witnessed that you know the football might not be the greatest it but there’s always something happening there something tense there’s always a you know particularly when it’s so close you don’t know which way it’s going to go it makes it more exciting but uh certainly Phil house you know 50 60,000 given a lot is fantastic here yeah um Blair interesting mixed reaction from Celtic fans I think there’s a general overriding feeling like said of relief um some people very very pleased with the result um as is the case on dby day Ali MC on Facebook here saying totally outclassed obviously believing they’re very much the better side over Rangers this afternoon however John Watt on YouTube a little bit more critical of CTIC Cas C Celtic were awful in the last 30 minutes Miss chances and sloppy passing Taylor was and hatti the worst Defender so a bit of a mixed bag for Celtic fans coming out of this one yeah and uh Paul Hogan uh not crocodile dunde um says uh as a Celtic supporter there should be 7,000 Rangers fans in Celtic Park and vice versa 100% Paul thanks for that message because uh it’s always good to hear what the fans think on that and I personally think as a spectacle just adds to it the place just cackles roughy especially just a couple of minutes before the start you know but everybody walking out um and you know hearing the Ranger songs and then hearing the Celtic songs and the uh and the chance to make that huge cacophony of noise is amazing but it it’s something that hopefully we’ll get back to the near future when some people see a bit of sense as far as the overall game is concerned give us your view on that because on Monday uh we’ll be here uh dissecting it going back over it uh and giving you our thoughts on the game and the other games which are taking place over the course of the weekend because in the sing Premiership as ever roughy there are other things to debate as well as Celtic Rangers today we Hearts against Dundee Livingston take on St Johnson Ross County against Mell and St mirin against Kik on the Saturday and on the Sunday it’s hibs against Aberdine so there are other matches with implications at the bottom end of the table but so many Rangers of Celtic fans have their view on players that uh performed some that didn’t give us your thoughts and just a couple of quotes coming out from brenon Rogers speaking to Sky after the game at television he says it’s three victories we’ve had against Rangers and that shows the mentality we have in big games so obviously a lot of lot of talk in the buildup this week about Roger comments about the back and forth movie between the managers he says he proved today that his team do have the mentality for these big games I think he’s 100% right he didn’t quite deliver the fun that he was talking about but he certainly delivered the ultimate thing which is quite simply I think Celtic have got that mentality over Rangers yeah you can’t argue with that quote you know I think the stat speaks for itself I think most of the games Celtic uh deserve to get what they got out the game uh over the 90 minutes or the 97 minutes or whatever it was so yeah he’ll be particularly happy but we spoke about it in in Friday saying that I think Celtic had more players who step up to these kind of games and what Rangers are yeah um also Derek say I Celtic one 121 well done to Celtic yep Derek I think that’s a I think that’s the point that quite a lot of people are making and you know we wanted to give you an old firm reaction come on right after the game just to get a sense of how you viewed everyone uh the the football match the decisions within it made by the referee the performance of players but the overall picture and this is where we always look at Rough the overall pitchure is C have won the game today in my mind they’ve won the league with that Victory today yeah then I think any Celtic manager and Rangers managers for the last month coming out of games have have said forget about forget about the performance it’s three points you know and I think that today was a perfect example of that I think we all would agree that in the last 25 minutes Celtic wen’t on top but at the end of the day they got what they wanted if I was looking at the the two managers uh who will dissect this they’ll play their final uh games uh ruie if I was looking at both managers I would turn around and basically say there’s there’s got to be a clear out there’s got to be changes I think we all agree it’s less so for Celtic manager brandan Rogers um but for Philipe Clon he’s first of all got to think to himself how do we close that Gap you know and they’ve got to look at trying to have a serious look at the backline I think their Midfield is weak and they still don’t have a striker I mean I’ve D I’ve plac said they need a new team but they don’t need a new team they need three or four kept and then a lot of players saying thank you very much for your contribution and good night but I think there’s more players that clemont uh would want to move on than Brendon Rogers does you know I think he’s I think clemont if he’s honest enough he’s got about four or five first team starters there that he would want to keep a hold of but unfortunately as you have just said there the ones that he has to replace her important areas at the back in the Midfield and up front yeah uh do you think you hold on to Jack butland uh yeah I think it’ll be interesting to see Jack butland gets picked for the Euros yeah if he gets picked for the Euros he’s back in the Limelight down south you know obviously I think the seasons he’s had do you think so yeah I think he’ll go in the summer well I think it depends who comes in who’s interested you know yeah good goalkeeper oh fantastic you know today was a perfect example the penalty save it at the right time gave his team a chance give the players a bit of belief you could see the reaction when he made the save lifted the whole side so yeah that’s what he’s did with he’s done with with sry Rangers all year he’s been absolutely superb yeah um if it was me I’d look at it and say they need flare on the flanks they need people who have got a trick who can open up defenses they need a Midfield and they need another couple of Strikers in there and by the way the back line needs addressed so he’s got a big big job in his hands and the implication of this game today and here’s the ultimate Ry before we hear more from Blair the ultimate is that one today has all but guaranteed Celtic a60 million pound check for going automatically into the group stages of the Champions League yeah I mean you can see you know that when Celtic Do Splash it they’re quite prepared to go 5 6 7 million I think the supporters expect them to go a be bit more I don’t know if that would happen I still think Rangers are suffering a we B Cashwise most of the players are bringing in are in loan or in good wages they’re not paying a lot of money they have paid some money for some of the players but I think the Rangers support will be looking for a we bit more uh in the financial side yeah and with Celtic in mind uh who’ve won the game today 60 million is huge um I still think the they’ve got to look at Top Class Defenders they’ve got to look at a number 10 and I still think ruffy no harm to the boy EA um from Norwich third choice Striker I think we’ve got to look towards you know people that can come off the bench and a starter who’s a who’s a striker who can help kyogo along the way if you want to do anything in the Champions League Celtics European record is wful if they’ve got any ambition whatsoever they’ve got to come up with some kind of blueprint with a better recruitment policy and I think today is evident of it another side that Celtic had who played you know I could go back over a good five or six s in the last 20 years that would have dismantled Rangers today had they gone down to 10 men yeah well that’s what we’re saying you know we’re not trying to rubbish Rangers we’re just saying that a team goes down to 10 men you would expect at home all the supporters behind you you know you expect to go and win the game quite comfortably Celtic couldn’t do that you have to give Rangers a we bit of credit for for hanging on in there you know Celtic did have a chances but it was their fault they never stuck them away but you’re right I think Celtic fans with the disappointment that’s been in Europe in the last two or three seasons you know it’s okay saying yeah it’s great in there and the journey is great and the games are great but you can’t keep getting into the sections and ending up last so I think the Celtic supporters will be putting a bit pressure on the board to give Brendan Rogers proper money to go and buy proper Top Class players yeah we bit of hypocrisy there from you Ry because obviously you you would quite hily keep going to the bernabo and letting the cameraman hum all the gear and and you just saunter about those streets and then go into I’ll never for get your classic piece of punditry from the Real Madrid Celtic game after 2 minutes when Real Madrid scored you in I thought Celtic held out well there they looked really compact for two minutes they were playing well they were in the game for 2 minutes that way 51 at the 51 at the end never forget that I’m sitting in the Press Box now Ah that’s why we’re friends just a tremendous insight into the first two minutes of the match you quite happily go to the put an experience and I see the finish the roof yeah we were there they were actually getting it all done but U it must be a that you need to go back and see the roof now that’s an excuse to go yeah absolutely well and the and the key to all of this is quite simply that fans will know uh you know Champions League football Rangers will want Champions League football as well qualifiers you have to engineer your way through them and you’ll have to engineer it with um you know players that they they’ll want to sign they’ve got to get a higher quality of player BL I’m sure that’s reflected in the Rangers fans looking at what they were witnessing today yeah it’s a very interesting point there’s a lot of a lot of talk about Jack butland obviously not just the penalty save but also those two big saves I think it was from John Sutter early on when near on goal in in another one from kyogo it was like a really a really de save um a few a few people in the feed seeing just how integral he will be to start this rebuild again for Rangers Paul Hogan again coming back in on the future of Philip clont he says a Rangers manager has to win titles in a fairly regular basis and I suppose that really picks up on the point you’re making about when and the winner of the the league will go to that champions league and then build with the finances that come with that and I suppose Phil clont he could indeed end this season as a double winner he could win both both cups but we’re really well that rank in terms of a successful season when you consider it wasn’t his Squad at the start of this campaign yeah I think that’s the best point about I think he’s got to he’s got to be go on and win the league are they immediately in automatic Rangers have qualifiers yes um so what ultimately I would love to see next season is Celtic and Rangers both in the Champions League group stages hearts in the Europa League if they can get past that uh qualifier uh and then you’re looking your saying yourself wouldn’t it be fantastic you’ve got Kar and St mirin um you know in the conference League um I think Killy have a qualifier to get into the Europa League K could actually make it into the Europa League as well and in mid could make it into that conference League and of course if the results somehow transpire that Dortmund and Atlanta both win the European trophies Hearts will be directly into the Europa League which would be an incredible CP for Scottish Football to get potentially two teams in the Champions League two teams in the Europa League that would that would really really set it off um to get more teams in the European competition yeah absolutely oh look there’s a pig flying up above your head ruy uh just thought would say that because we’ve got to be realistic about it and uh the standard uh I think big pressure on a lot of managers uh to try and come up with better recruitment um maybe some of them change their style of play maybe some looking for more homegrown players ruy um but of the players that were on show today just before we go off here and thank you to so many of you for uh messaging us um and joining us and giving us your thoughts on the game obviously Blair reading out as many of them as possible that are not abusive and are not uh sticking it up to the opposition fans um but we’re trying to get as many uh fra right across Celtic and Rangers fans on the thoughts on the game of the players that were playing there we mentioned Jack butland are we witnessing the last few games of Matt oy well certainly in the performan he’s had he’s obviously been identified you know that uh from teams abroad and obviously teams down south I think there has already been a bid in this year and something like 12 million pounds that Celtic turned down so if these teams are still sniffing about it’s something that Celtic will have to deal with can I ask you this who is this just a uh again more evidence that the the next meeting between the two of them in the Scottish Cup Final uh something has to change obviously they don’t want to get a man sent off again Rangers must go away lick their wins Philip Clore has to come up with another strategy yeah he’ll go away he’ll analyze the game you know I’m sure he will he’ll look at things he’s done well things he hasn’t his team selection you know but uh at the end of the day I don’t think he’s got that much leeway you know with the players that he’s got uh I think obviously KB one will be a big talking point between the Rangers supporters but defensively they’re going to be the same Ry David Allen has just said on Facebook uh canwell is a goner he’s a little bit abusive but I thought I’d read his first B the sentence yeah well there’s got to be something the manager got to come out and say cuz the supporters are going to he has quite an influential player when he’s on his game I think he’s he’s he’s a player you we have be B of skill someday that gets you off your seat does he the most I think he does when he plays when he plays certain G when he’s on on game and he’s a main man and he’s playing well and Evan’s going Rosie I think he’s an exciting player to watch yeah I’m not so sure rfia I wasn’t filled with him this season I think all the posturing and playing to the crowd um that’s fine if you’re absolutely strutting your stuff and doing it on the park I wasn’t filled by him I thought he was he was at times um more interested in posturing with the fans uh and in fact fact if anything an imposter when it comes to uh what Rangers need in the middle of the park if you are a good Rangers midfielder you go in there you fight you understand what’s at stake you try and create something you try and produce a wee bit of magic for me um not good enough the fact that he’s sitting on the bench uh was such a big game the point you’re making and he’s not big enough in the big games I think against the others aan on his game he’s as good as any of them but on Show when he comes up against the big games he’s not really done it I don’t think so I don’t think he’s I don’t think he’s good enough at the moment to wear that Rangers jersey um from teams of old and from where Rangers want to be um and you know in the summer it’s going to be interesting there’s there’s definitely a story about to emerge there uh and what lies ahead in his future as for the likes of Mary it’s all positive I mean need some great shots uh some of them off Target some of them on target I thought his penalty was poor but he’s certainly a man that I think Celtic will be able to command a really good price from him just before we go um Blair assuming up from some of the the better points on the social media yep I think generally an overall feeling of relief and excitement from Celtic fans as they head into what they think is now a guaranteed title whereas from the the Rangers perspective a little bit looking forward to the cup final now as a sort of last Bastion of success for this season 1872 Here Again on YouTube the Cup Final is 5050 as it’s 50/50 in the crowd drop lrom and barisich and hopefully we have SEMA and matondo back fit for Pace yeah Scottish Cup Final is going to be a huge day and of course uh as ever with finals 50/50 split they’ll have Celtic and Rangers fans all in there um and that’s when you see the adrenaline kicking in when you’ve got your huge support there uh roaring you on and if there’s an incident in the game again it can switch changed the axis of the game as ruy knows only too well from all those uh big games you’ve played in ruffy fans do have an impact on players and the overall performance of a team Rangers didn’t have their fans there today Rangers didn’t have the ultimate match winner there today in the end it was Celtic who managed to Win It by two goals to one Brendan Rogers deserves tremendous credit because for me today uh and we’ll discuss this on Monday that was the title win ruie by beating Rangers by goals to one at Celtic Park yeah I think if Rangers are honest enough it’s just got away from them you know I think it’ll be building up to the Cup Final they obviously get two League games to go they want to put in a good performance leading up to that but uh they’ve got to focus in that cup final now yeah and when they look back on the story of the Season give us your thoughts Rangers fans because when you look at a line in the sand it was delivered up at ding wall and then the final mail in the coffin at Den’s Park those two games were painful for Rangers and it changed the axis of the Scottish Premiership because Rangers suddenly were no longer in charge of their own destiny Celtic had the edge Celtic had the three-point Advantage a greater goal difference going into the game at Celtic park today and in the end it was uh Matt O’Reilly who scored the first goal an on goal from John lrom uh deser got one back but Rangers were up against it when they were reduced to 10 men uh when lrom was giving his matching orders after Willie colum was advised to go and have look at the tackle on Alistair Johnson and change his mind from yellow to red and will he thought that was a clear and obvious error sent off linstrom we’ll be talking about all these points on Monday join us if you can for the football
