Patrick Mahomes, Saquon Barkley among NFL public enemies | Pro Football Talk | NFL on NBC
https://www.youtube.com/NFLonNBC

who are the NFL’s Public Enemies number one and we actually did this draft three years ago and I have no recollection of any of it I have a feeling that the names will be completely different I really don’t know what my names are going to be and a lot of it depends upon which names you claim I’ll let you go first with the initial selection in the Public Enemy Number One draft oh thank you yes and I’m GNA go with the obvious choice and that is Patrick Mahomes he has made the Kansas City Chiefs so good and he is so good that now it’s gone from oh what a great story oh man Patrick Mahomes he’s so good this is so awesome to I’m so sick of Patrick Mahomes I’m sick of the Chiefs I’m tired of the Chiefs I don’t want to see the Chiefs anymore that’s what makes him a Public Enemy when you’re that good right then people aren’t goingon to want to see you at the top of that mountain because they don’t appreciate the greatness as much as they might have otherwise so I’m gonna I’m saying Patrick Mahomes he’s Public Enemy Number One For You Know 31 other franchises I thought of momes but the problem is he’s just so damn likable no we like hard it’s hard to hate him go to Cincinnati see how they feel go to Buffalo how do you think they feel about him in Buffalo that’s Public Enemy Number One sir I still think it’s difficult to hate Patrick Mahomes I think that you really have to have a personality that is conducive to it I think that with Mahomes it’s like you hate what he stands for but man I wish he was my quarterback and man he’s just wish he was my nextdoor neighbor I wish he was my son I wish he was my friend he’s just such a nice guy he’s so humble he’s never changed I think it’s hard to hate Patrick Mahomes I would not encourage hating Patrick Mahomes now Sequon Barkley on the other hand not that I encourage the Giants fans Not that they need any encouragement he clearly is the Public Enemy Number One in New York like if Reggie wants to get the heat off of him if the series goes back there and he’s doing the game he needs to invite saquan to come sit Courtside and cheer for the Pacers because the chant will change quickly from Fu Reggie to Fu sequan he got booed at a game in Philly by the Knicks fans that made the trip to watch the game and he was dismayed by it so Sequon Barkley fits perfectly even though it’s not his fault it’s the Giants fault he has become Public Enemy Number One in New York City yeah that’s true Josh Hart could then go up to say Juan Barkley and say yeah I think they’re saying F you so uh that’s not a bad choice but I’m going to go with another player from New York metropolitan area you know for my next public in me and that’s Aaron Rogers I don’t know that I need to say much more other than Aaron Rogers just based on some of the things that we’ve heard him say over the course of the last let’s call it two years or so man oh man I kind of have a feeling that once he starts going into away away buildings he’s going to get booed and he’s going to be booed last loudly you know so it’s going to be interesting to see how he performs with the Jets this year how he comes back from the Achilles injury but you know as great of a player as he’s been I think that he’s sort of morphed himself into being one of these key Public Enemy guys that’s a great pick and I was explaining this to someone not that long ago I can’t remember the context I can’t remember how it even came up but you know there’s a certain high-profile politician who is polarizing you you either love him or you hate him there is no in between and I think this all came up in the context of Aaron Rogers delving into potentially the political realm when it was out there for a few days that he might be RFK Jr’s running mate with with Aaron roders I believe that you either hate him or you have no opinion there isn’t this strong Cult of Aaron Rodgers there are certain things he says that will cause others of that same mindset to say here here but there isn’t this we love Aaron roders and we will follow Aaron roders into battle with a spork there isn’t anything like that for Aaron Rogers I don’t think so I don’t sense it I think it’s either tolerance or hatred am I wrong I don’t think you’re that wrong no I I really don’t because I mean that’s just the way Aaron Rogers has set himself up to be over the last couple years with his public Persona I mean I think that you know if we go back to 2019 we probably don’t feel that way about Aaron roders but you know since 2020 and all kinds of other things that have happened over the course of the last couple years it’s been a little bit different I’m gonna go with Stefan Diggs as my next choice just because in Buffalo he is Public Enemy Number One he’s the one that they blamed for the most part there was a smattering of oh my God bills you’re crazy for letting Stefan Diggs go but there was enough of a sense that he wanted out that I think it causes the Bills fans and hey Bills fans very passionate about their team I love it I love it I don’t I don’t hate that that’s what draws them to shows like this gets them to go to PFT they’re going to be not thrilled with Stefan Diggs this year I think the bills go to Houston which is good for Stefon Diggs but there will still be people in that building if they play in Houston when they play in Houston this year who are letting Stefan Diggs hear it who are fans of the Buffalo Bills yeah I’m I’m sure that they will and you know but that’s what I mean that’s but when you talk about Buffalo fans and who their enemies are right like that’s that makes a lot of sense especially when you have a franchise that is sort of as tortured as that one is right when it comes to not winning things and the roadblocks that have been in place for them so yeah that that one I think makes a lot of sense um let’s go my my last pick I’m gonna go with Bill bellich and he’s starting to rehabilitate this image you know whether it was being on the draft coverage with Pat McAfee being in the roast but think about for how long the Patriots were so successful right and the face of that was the hoodie right and Tom Brady but you get Bill bellich and he’s this guy and he’s Sinister and you know he’s like compared to Chancellor Palpatine and all that like that’s where you know the no days off do your job all this stuff he made himself into everybody’s Public Enemy so less so now but in some ways the fact that he doesn’t have a head coaching job is a of the fact that he was a Public Enemy for many years well and it’s going to be difficult for him to get back in because he needs the public to warm up to him to the point where there are fan bases saying we want bellich to be our coach next year and I think that’s why he’s doing what he’s doing and I said all along this is what he needs to do from the moment he took out the full page ad in the Boston Globe after the dust settled on the fact that he wasn’t going to find another job you need to rebuild your overall reputation from the standpoint of making fans want you clamor for you and not view you as kudin miserable not a guy that we want to have as our head coach I had and I waited for the end because I didn’t think you were going to take him but you almost did I’m going with Brady because Brady is going to be showing up at stadiums this year I think that Brady is going to hear it and he’s lucky he’s with Fox because it’s going to be predominantly NFC stadiums that he’s in even though they’ve torn down that wall that AFC NFC CBS Fox distinction in any network can have any game he’s still going to be mainly in NFC buildings that’s going to be better for him than if he was going to Buffalo I mean think about it one of these days one of these days Brady is going back to Buffalo to call what do you think they’ll throw into the booth they what do you think they’ll throw into the booth projectile what do you think they will throw into the booth I ran a clip to that cuz I wrote something last night about Jamal Murray not being suspended by the NBA for throwing a heat pack onto the floor and I still can’t think of a player or a coach actually throwing something into the action during an NFL game and I can’t imagine what the consequence would be if someone did and it surely wouldn’t be no suspension and a fine in the amount of 0. 2% of your pay for the year in Buffalo the fans toward the end of Brady’s career with the Patriots was throwing something onto the field every time they played there in a certain unique shape with a certain unique purpose and it will be a shorter throw they’re going to have to put plexiglass in front of the booth in Buffalo when Brady finally does a game there because they will welcome him in a uniquely Buffalo way hi it’s Mike Florio thanks for watching PFT on YouTube hit subscribe for the latest news and Analysis from pro football talk

  1. Mahomes himself is a great player, and he seems a decent guy. That being said, people are starting to get fed up with the entitlement/ preferable treatment surrounding him and the chiefs.
His Brother got a slap on the wrist for grabbing a woman by the throat and forcibly kissing her (on top of being generally insufferable), his Father just had another DWI arrest (3 in total), and Britt Reid just had his sentence commuted after permanently disabling a young girl during a similar offense. The more we come to associate him/the chiefs with this type of episode, all of those ads are going to start pissing people off more and more.

  2. Mahomes is far more likeable than Brady ever was and he's only 3 out of 4 superbowl victories in. A Aron is coming for blood and relishes the villain role. I love Rodgers and many others do as well florio even tho you hate him.

  3. Mahomes plays in a weak division. Does practically the same stuff in terms of scrambling 😂 like lamar jackson and josh. Got the best . Perfect situation. Yeah people tired of seeing the chiefs and the swifties😂😂😂

  4. Rodgers is actually one of the realest dudes . Imagine hating a man thats standing up for all of our freedom and basic rights. Mr Fizer should be on the list instead .

  5. I would say Mahomes, he is a nice guy but people just want some other team to win now and then. Maybe Rodgers. He is a little out there at times.

  6. Mahomes is a cry baby. He throws temper tantrums like a child when the refs don't bail him out. Florio couldn't be more out of touch.

  7. So 'public enemy' means in the AFC and NFC East? (Outside of Mahomes…imagine if he was QB of the Giants).

  8. Only the media and the NFC north hate aaron rodgers. Everyone else sees him as a chill dude. Yall are so disconnected from reality lol

  9. Rodgers? Shocker… Florio cant even mask his unbiased hatred for the guy. These guys cant even articulate anything the guy has actually done. Seems like the only thing hes done is speak. They claim not to like the robot responses from players, but they vilify anyone who chooses so speak their mind.

  10. Florio believe nobody can hate Mahomes and nobody can love Rodgers, man i wanna go to the circus that's in his head

  11. As a BILLS fan I don’t hate Patrick yet it’ll take years to pass Brady and the Pats we were there bitch for a decade 3-30 something 😂😅😂

  12. Mahomes is really easy to hate as a fan of a different team. Especially after what happened after the end of that regular season bills game

  13. This video has nothing to do with “public enemy”. They set this up just to get a political win. The ruling class is starting to lose and they’re freaking out. Florio doesn’t expect AR to get boo’d, he’s simply planting the seed in the heads of his fellow cultist to take action.

  14. Deshaun Watson is public enemy number 1 and he will continue to be that until he retires. He will never live down what happened. We will always remember it. I have a very good memory.

  15. How can you have a public enemy number 1 without Deshaun Watson? Yea I don’t like Aron Rodgers I would have put him on there but Saquan Barkley? Why the hell would he be public enemy number 1?? The Giants could have kept him if they payed him a little more money. The Giants fans are sore because he got offered more money somewhere else? Oh it’s because he went to the Eagles. Yea I can see that. I can see all of your picks but I would have put Deshaun Watson there and not Tom Brady.

  16. Lol Mahomes is kicking everyone's ass– so I get THAT part. But he's such a likeable dude — how can anybody hate on the dude???

  17. I'd say Mahomes was fine until last year with the whining about the refs, at least for me. Yeah it'd be nice to see other teams in the superbowl but i didn't moan about the pats so i'm not gunna moan about the chiefs.

  18. People don’t hate Mahomes. They hate KC. And we all hate KC because 31 other teams need to beat KC and the refs in every big game….
