well Taylor G made some major headlines this weekend when he was asked over in Singapore if he plans on trying to qualify for the US Open this was his brief response I’m not well the two words heard around the world of golf I’m not by Taylor G he doesn’t want to attempt to qualify you know I didn’t play the clip but Grant mcdal was there and he was talking about yeah I’m going to go Tuesday got to try to qualify and then a couple other guys were up there explaining what their qualification schedule looks like and gu was just like I’m not now one thing people don’t realize is that Taylor gu made $36 Million last year on Liv and people with Fu money can make decisions like that and you and I can’t I’m assuming most people don’t have that kind of money listening to this show but I certainly don’t but it was you know everyone was calling him every name in the book because of that you know oh what a what a quitter he doesn’t want to try you know typical live guy but then just a few days later some big news came up on Monday that both David poo who’s on LIF and Taylor gu have received special invitations to compete in the PGA Championship next week at Valhalla so perhaps maybe gu knows there’s a special invitation for the US Open in the works and maybe that’s why he’s like I’m not going to try and qualify but this is significant because it’s the first time the majors have acknowledged a player’s accomplishment on LIF and invited him to a major you know gos to 2023 individual champ after three wins last year and earning that in excess of 36 million bucks and so great to see now remember Waco Neeman received a special invite to the Masters this year but that was mostly based on his play on the DP tour where he won a couple times over the winter including the Australian Open same thing applies to David pu who got that PJ Champion gy invite he won on the Asian tour twice that’s why he’s getting it not for his live play so huge stuff here though with the majors now slowly to begin to recognize Liv guys and what they’re doing over on this new tour
