good morning bber Nation we welcome you to Jack Williams Field at the Equity Bank Sports and beautiful at least for today Harrison Arkansas I know that hurts your mouth but it’s the city of Harrison not the district but along side by partner Brad we welcome you to the CL 5ate tournament it’s the opening game the opening suer of the whole thing Brad what’s going on Doc yeah yeah you know the weather was a little little shaky last night but you know we we got through it so it was uh lot of lot of wind last night a lot of rain a lot of just everything going on but we’re here for some beautiful baseball so it’ll be the Mountain Home bombers taking on the Lake Hamilton wolves the Wolves the one seed out of the South the bombers squeaking in as the four seed out of the West bombers will face pitcher Brent Davis Brad what you know about Brent’s a left you’re not going to be an overing pitcher for Lake Hamilton but that’s kind of just Lake Hamilton team they’re built a lot like kind of Mountain Home they’re going to play um they’re going to play kind of small they’re going to kind of try to do all the little things right they’re not going to stand up and look for a for a home run or look for you know kind of today’s baseball as way it’s kind of set up but they’re going to they’re going to do little things right looks like you know watching watching Davis warm up right here he’s kind of got three pitches looks like basketball cther change and going to be a lefty that’s going to going to keep Mountain Home on their toes he’s going to throw lots of strikes uh he’s not going to walk a lot of players and make us earn everything we got so the Mountain Home bombers will go with their usual starting lineup they’ll lead off with j Hanford it’ll be Dawson Dunlap Jackson Corp Drew Haney Ryder mlan Lincoln Sherry Nate Henderson back at first base after missing a couple games Finley cha and Carter Atkins and pitching today Ian Ellison so the bombers will lead off with jet Hanford one of the finalists of the jib holstead athlete of the year that we had the other night Robert do winning that one of course so congrats to Robert and congrats to all the finalists we had so right that was a great event we had yeah it was awesome great great job the stocks putting that on each year for our athlet and was was an awesome night celebrate your celebrate your Mountain Home Athletics so we’re ready to go here as it’ll be Davis the first pitch showing bun he’s going to pull it back and this will be a ball one and0 Davis not a really tall kind of kind of 61 6’2 kind of smaller kid but Lefty and going to look like you’re going to Pound The Zone yeah strike throw machine is what I’ve heard here’s the one oh as this catches the outside part of the plate one and one that’s a good pitch yeah you know what are think of a lefty like this especially that Lefty is going to want to live on the outside part of the plate you got to be thinking up the middle the other way and stay through that ball and drive that ball up the middle so it is one and one next pitch is in there for a strike one and two to Jet Hanford so far only seen fast balls on this dve kind of tailing away from our hitters and like I said we got to live the other way beautiful morning for baseball here starting a little bit early is this next pitch breaking ball just missed and it’s two and two good eye there by jet great T real close two pitch strike but saw that saw that curve ball coming and laid off of it on that outer half it will be after Jed Haner Dawson Dunlap so here’s the 2-2 this one is fouled away to the right side out of play right now is a hitter jet he’s just trying to shorten up kind of see if Davis will make a mistake and and put the ball in play and great job uh good Jobing that one off Davis is ready from the belt the two- two pitch High Fly ball down the right field line this will get out of play lead off the back right here by jet make Davis thr a lot of pitches he’s only used to throwing about 12 to 15 pitches per inning and you know right now we’re already already at seven or eight on this back it’s pitch number seven breaking ball up high and the counts full Outfield playing straight up infield straight up maybe shifted just a hair to the right Al Turf infield bbut sad in the Outfield here at the Equity Bank Sports Complex the payoff pitch it’s down low and it’s a leadoff walk for m home Great lead off at back by your senior there outfielder and made Davis work and you know that’s what m home wants to do they want to get on the bases they want to create havoc and uh bu bunt players around and I’d be looking right here for Dawson to to bunt this ball so be Dawson Dunlap will’ll come to the pl we’ll see what he has on this first pitch Greg Crow coaching over at third base Kyle Stevens over at first Davis ready checks the runer showing butt and he went around it’s all and one now time do a job that pitch was on the outside it kind of stabbed at the ball just missed it got away from the catcher almost thought jet was going to try to take second and get there the whole key to this is get that bunt down get that run and score in position so it is 0 and one now well well scoreboard says one and0 it shouldn’t be one and0 I don’t believe yeah so it’s all and one and the next pick showing bun again gets it down along the right side this is a perfect butt throw to first he is out but the runner advances to second base great job right there by Dawson dlac you want to get that ball down the first base side and get that run to Second excellent bun so it’s a sack bunt for dossa Dunlap as jet Hanford moves to Second Jackson Corp will stand to the plate you know this it’s funny I was talking to coach Crow this morning he lives three minutes from this place this is like a homecoming so he won a 2015 state championship for uh the other folks you know that we try not to men you just a whole l this tournament I didn’t see him on the bracket I’m glad you said that as this first pitch bounces in as Jet’s going to go try and take Third Base he’ll be in without a throw and the lady and the lady bombers were not there yet they’ll be at 5:30 the bombers are in business here with one out yeah that’s what that’s a great job there by jet on the base pack you see that ball down the catcher tried to block it scored it away just enough jet saw that ball down took off immediately was able to get 90t away the one oh Pitch popped up this one will go out of play I know it’s a force to have but we got this roof over us I still tried to duck on that one so you reason jet getting the third is so important for the bombers now he’s 90 ft away all Jackson has to do is just put this ball in play on the ground pass the pitcher anywhere and we’re going to going to take a one lead here’s the 1-1 this one’s down low two and one the bombers will be the visitors on the scoreboard and they’ll be the visitor pretty much throughout the length of the tournament of course it it’s all it doesn’t really matter matter in baseball you know it’s not like a home court advantage home field advantage you know you hit first but you know you you kind of create pressure if you get to that bottom of the seventh but it’s the 2-1 grounded to the left side this will score a run routed over to short the throw to first good stab by the first baseman Manley but the Run does score and Mountain Hol has a one to nothing lead yeah great job let’s go back to Dawson Dunlap and his job to get that bunt down and then a great job there by jet you know reading that pitch in the dirt getting the Third then Jackson obviously finishing it off by putting the ball so Drew Haney will hit from the left side here the bases are empty now be pitch pitch number 15 coming up for Davis it’s about his average for an inning as Mountain Holm has taking the lead here in the first first pitch showing bunt gets a good bunt down throw over to first base and he is out and they are out of the inning but not before Mountain Hol takes an early one to nothing lead here in the Class 5A state tournament so is that was scored the catcher field of that that was two to three so we will head to the bottom of the first inning it is one to nothing Mountain Hol we’ll check the line up real quick for Lake Hamilton wolves the number one seed out of the 5A South Cameron hail be Manning second base Eason Hurley in leftfield we know that name he was quarterback for the Wolves we he threw about three passes we remember one of them sadly Caleb Rouse will be in Centerfield batting third Cohen Manley at first base hitting cleanup Koy atre at third base The sixo Hitter Kaden pranter the designated here Brody Fountain the catcher Gavin Thomasson the right fielder Brent Davis doing the pitching and then in the 10 spot not hitting will be number zero Asher Gregory we would like to welcome our friends over in Lake Hamilton I talked to Scotty Pennington over the phone and their girls coach over there we set the link to them so a lot of people that weren’t able to make that was probably 5 hour trip from Hot Springs or uh Percy Arkansas you know we we we’ll shout you out I know there are a few uh classes watching yeah you know Lake Hamilton is just a premier program in the 5A great in basketball great in girls basketball great in football and here they are one seed I think they’re what 19 and three yeah they were 19 it was 19 and something yeah I think 19 they had a great year from in the South down there the one seed and once again these two programs are built really similar in what they like to do on the baseball field yeah we got Ian Ellison starting us off here for Mountain yeah tell us about Ian a little bit Ian’s kind of the same as Davis he’s he’s not the Lefty though but he’s going to be a right-handed pitcher um he’s not going to overpower you he’s going to he’s going to hit the Zone he’s going to throw a lot of strikes he’s going to try to keep you off balance he’s got a curve and a fast sometimes you’ll throw a change in there but generally lives off his curve and fast he’s going to sit 80 to 83 84 with his fast ball he can ramp it up there every once in a while if he needs to but just a just a gamer he’s been in a lot of games and just a competitor um you know he starts on our probably one of our top golfers on the bomber golf team and it’s a team that is just uh you know in golf it’s you you’re the competitor you’re the one going at it and so that’s one thing you like to see about em is he is definitely a competitor well we will get things going here as we might need to change out your headset real quick guess there’s people saying they can’t hear you so we’ll make that change real quick got a spare here I don’t know what it was I tested it back home so it’s the exact same P that you have so I don’t know what the deal is but we’ll get it taken care of as the first pitch from Ellison is in there going to step off and pick over it first kind of a show me pick here to kind of keep the runner on us as a softball comes flying in we got a complex here with two softball fields and two baseball fields Harrison hosting the state tournament and both softball and baseball with our lady bombers will be playing tonight at 5:30 Ellison comes set on the 1 pitch nice pitch on the outer half [Applause] 1 Ian’s going to come to stretch Mountain Home leading one to nothing here in the bottom of the first runner on First with nobody out comes set curveball just under the feet of Hurley good layoff there by Hurley pitch looked like a strike all the way and then kind of broke off and kind of went to that back foot of the left-handed batter 2-1 here Ellison peering in Catcher steps off going to pick over at first mlan behind the dish tonight in the battery for for Mountain Home as Ellison and mlan Ryder gets ass signs from the coach in come set pitch other way taken the other way by Harley great it back kind of sticks his Bat out there on the outside fast ball laces it into left field drops out there in front of Jed Hanford he gets it in and Lake Hamilton is in business here with Runners on first and second here in the bottom of the first and nobody out center fielder number nine Caleb Rouse coming up to bat Ellison going to come set with Ral at bat pitch is going to be a bun it’s going to be outside as Ral pulls back the ball is going to be called a ball on the outer half one0 here Mountain Home in our bunt defense as Nate Henderson is inside the first Basel line looking to uh take the bun away the sacrifice so I think we’re good now we won’t be able to hear each other but we’re right next to each other other so it’s fine so hopefully we got the audio figured out it is early in the morning as showing BNT as it is a called strike Runners will advance 90 [Music] ft yeah kind of a tough play there by Ryder that pitch kind of tailed away from him the batter looked a bunt just missed the strike and it squirted away from Ryder’s glove just far enough away to get the runner second third now like Hamilton’s really in business is they didn’t have to give up an out to get those Runners over there so it is two runners in scoring position here for the Wolves here in the bottom of the first bombers leading one to nothing this one is down the right side foul as we uhur behind us Slade Caldwell was just introduced at the plate so you saw a bunch of heads turn around the future first round draft pick in the MLB draft this here and the pitch from mellison just miss two and two well that was a that was a super close pitch right there you know nice little curve ball if Ian can get a strike out right here and get that out be a huge pitch right here so two and two from Ellison and the pitch foul away so I thing Ian’s balls aren’t straight if you look at the ‘s balls they have a lot of tail to them right there that pitch started on the inner half tailed in was able to jam Ral and great pitch great spot two and two again Ian checks the runners and the pitch outside just missed and the Count’s full they do have first base open however yeah he’s kind of he doesn’t want to give in and give any Ral anything to hit right here to score a base hit looks like it’s going to score two runs but kind of pitching around him Full Count pitch just missed and it’s a walk and the bases are loaded for Cohen Manley yeah they always say you don’t throw anything on two two you’re not willing to throw on 3-2 and he back backto back curve balls that when he started at the batter curved it in Mountain hom was wanting the call looked like a really good pitch but well Mountain home in a little bit of a pickle now as the bases are loaded with nobody out see if Ellison and the bombers can limit the damage here’s the first pitch to Manley up high for a ball one and0 Manley’s got a hair ha full headful over maybe I’m jealous cuz I have none but man that’s platinum blonde it is so here comes the 1 oh misses two and0 yeah Ian just needs to settle in right here just understand is his Bat a pencil yeah it is colored like a pencil wow that’s that’s pretty neat yeah so it’s two and0 now and the pitch just missed again the counts full or three and0 the count got to throw a strike here see how aggressively Hamilton’s going to let Manley be right here is he going to let him swing three 0 here comes the three as ball four and that walks in a run so it is one to one now coach Crow is going to come out call time go talk to his pitcher here just s everybody down a little bit right here is what we’re trying to do yeah it’s you know it’s still early in the game you know give up a run or two you’ll be okay you got six more Innings at least so so we’re glad you’re here with the pitch up high for a ball one and0 it’s interesting here Mountain Holm is electing to play uh Henderson behind the runner at first usually you’d have your infield your Corners in to take away that run but looks like we’re trying to keep one from the double down the line so it’s two and0 now it’s a dangerous spot for Mountain Holm still nobody out here in the first it is one to one however here it comes this pitch misses three and 0 gu it’s just a little bit up right here and looking at Lake Hamilton they got the take sign on they’re waiting to see that seven straight balls here for for Ellison so they’re going to they’re going to wait and see a strike mhm so it’s three and0 now and Ian Ellison has walked in another run so backto back walks and it’s two to one Lake Hamilton as I think that’s going to be it for Ian Allison so it’s going to be a quick hook I think we’re going to see Drew Haney come out of the Dugout actually we’re going to see a little movement yeah it’ll be batters that he faced but it is two to one so we have a chance a little bit damage here get out of it start new yeah bringing in Drew Haney Lefty uh sophomore from Mountain Home has a lot of uh lot of experience in playing um in games like this plays a lot of Summer Ball you once again not going to overpower you he’s going to probably live upper 70s maybe touch low 80s when he can but he he can hit spots and as a lefty you know if you can hit spots and you can keep people off balance that’s what you’re looking for and so big spot here for your sophomore coming in trying to limit damage Mountain Home just needs to get that first out take a breather and see if we can kind of limit the limit the amount of runs that we give up to Lake Hamilton here so it’ll be Drew Haney on the now was Ian Ellison that started the game first pitch from Drew is in there for a strike that’s a good sign that’s a very good sign start out 0 and one on this pit on this yeah you ire too he likes it low that that pitch looked a little low but he called it nice nice curve right there that’s swung on and missed St and two so scoreboard says two and0 there’s that there’s that math over in this part of the state O2 did he go around no he didn’t they’re not even going to check over at first yeah I don’t think they’re going to say he did he looked like he held up right there so it’s one and two now so this will be the fourth pitch of the at bat and onew from Haney breaking ball up high two and two anything at the belt or above this guy’s not not calling it Ian lived at the top of the zone and he just didn’t get that call here’s a two- two line drive to the left side caught at Short Stop by CH throw to Second they got him for a double play what a great double play that’s all you can ask for from Drew Haney absolutely got the line drive to Short Stop I don’t know what Manley was doing out there if you’re Lake Hamilton he took off like he was going to try to score and great job by Finley cha and seeing that Dawson Dunlap not giving up on the play coming and covering second man what a great great double play for Mountain Hol now the momentum has shifted two runs across for Lake Hamilton but a big double play there for Mountain Hol I believe they’re somewhere in the 20s in double plays this year they turn a lot of double plays he you throw a lot of strikes that’s what ends up happening to you so here’s the first pitch from Haney down low good block by mlan over behind the plate hold that Runner over at third Runners at the corners with two gone here two runs across for Lake Hamilton I think if you see this runner go at first I think you’re going see Mount hom just let him go let Drew kind of take take this batter on and try to win this battle and let’s get out of this thing Han he’s ready to go he’ll step off the rubber Outfield straight up infield straight up Henderson holding the runner over at first and the pitch breaking ball in there for a strike yeah that’s what makes Drew so hard to hit he can throw any pitch in any situation that’s 1 oh just a nasty breaking ball on that outside half right there so it is one and one now and he’s ready from the belt the pitch fouled away back toward us I was ready I was ready there one the fence there I was yeah you had it huh yeah I played little baseball back in the day we might have been going to the Harrison hospital if that ball would have if that fence would have been here I’d rather be taken back to backer Health Mountain Home that’s true so Haney’s ready from the belt checks the runner at first the onew foul away down the right side actually really good job right there by uh Fountain by Fountain Bradley fountain that pitch was he had him fooled and boy he threw his hands at at the last second just to foul that away good at bat he’s choked up on the bat he’s just trying to put the ball in play so one and two now one and two the score checking the Run at first the pitch swung on and missed they will throw down to First McLean’s throw is not in time the Run scores Ah that’s rough nice curveball there looked like it kind of crossed Rider up a little bit hit his glove and bounced off his glove and just squirted away out of the out of the dirt here and by the time he got there tried to throw it down to First not in time R was able to score well that’s an unfortunate break for Mountain Hol but it is a strikeout for Drew Haney it is a strike out E2 so that’s the first error of the ball game for Mountain Hol three to one our score now and it will be Gavin Thomasson the e- hole hitter the right fielder as we had a courtesy Runner come over at first yeah number 40 came in for Lake Hamilton to run that is who would that be Hayden Barton running over at first base believe he was one of the one of the set members of the secondary for the Wolves as this pitch just missed low one and0 glad you’re here with us this morning on the bomber Sports Network alongside my partner Brad Coleman who here in the first inning Lake Hamilton has pled three runs here comes the one0 fouled away now that one I could have fed right here so that was a that was a little my speed as we’re located along the first Baseline they’ve done a lot of renovations to this place since well of course you guys came here for JV but last year it was a conference game over here at a Turf infield awnings over the bleachers it’s really nice about a 12 to 14ot wall in center and left and right as this next pitch just missed and it’s two and one that was a one-1 curve ball kind of stayed outside rer tried to bring it back in good spot for that pitch Ryder and Haney two sport athletes in the their own right Haney was a big part of the bomber basketball team so was Ryder mlan it is two and one and he checks the runner over at second and the pitch bounces in there it will bounce away from mlan and the runners will advance 90 ft and it’s three and one now yeah that was about a 60′ 6 in from home from the pitcher mound to home and that ball landed about 59 A2 it was about a foot shy of the plate kind of took an awkward bounce almost looked like it hit the Lake Hamilton player and kind of squirted it away yeah it was it took a funky bounce but it’s still three and one this next pitch up high for a ball and that’s another walk the bases are loaded once again still just one pitch away from from getting out of this limiting damage what you what you do not want to do is you do not want to give up a big hit and let this game get five six seven one you know this inning continue so Haney will face his counterpart on the mound Brent Davis gave up a run in the first inning and the pitch breaking ball in there for a strike o and one good pitch Bases Loaded two gone here in the first three to one Lake Hamilton this next pitch grabed to the right side foul 0 and two what’s he looking for 02 uh I think if you’re if you’re Haney you got him set up I don’t you don’t want anything over the heart of the plate I like a curve kind of looking like it’s going on the plate going to the outer half out there you know if you’re Davis you’re just trying to fight it off uh I I think if you’re if you’re Haney you’re throwing a curve starting it in the middle and which is pitch like that yeah just didn’t get it that’s a good spot though so it is one and two we do have a relative tuning in we have Sheila Dunlap Dawson dunlap’s Nana watching from Memphis appreciate you are the greatest fans yeah so it’s one and two and the pitch just miss Haney was walking off the mound yeah he went that same curve ball again and started in the middle of the plate tried to tried to bend it on the outer half and now you’re two two I’d look for a fast ball kind of up and in right here see if we can’t get Davis to chase one comes the two two from Haney calls strike three so the Bobbers get out of it but they give up three runs that’s a good bounce back that could have been worse yeah it could have been a lot worse and good job there for Mount home to get out of that so Lake Hamilton sends nine to the plate and they only Come Away with three runs as we will head to the top of the second inning it is three to one in favor of Lake Hamilton it will be Ryder mlan Lincoln Sherry and Nate Henderson due up in this half inning this is not our only game today we will have the great Kurt jury with us on the call this afternoon at 5:30 as the bombers will play Tex Arcana the lady bombers play Tex Arcana coach Blake Hendricks in the squad they’re in class right now probably watching yeah so that that’s the that’s the neat thing it’s very unique I’ve never been to a a state tournament here where it’s you’re just an hour away from home me I left at 7:30 and I felt it was fine I know how about uh you know I was able to work this morning then come over and I get to go back and work this afternoon after this that’s what I was talking about you know if we get done early enough you know some of these teachers there here some of the students might have to go back to block I doubt it though kind you kind of realize uh how spoiled some of these other schools are by getting to play conference games 20 30 minutes away and we’re used to leaving at noon to to get to a normal conference game and of course you know these these great folks from Lake Hamilton they traveled really well that’s a four and a half hour drive we made that drive yeah this year of football that’s not an easy Drive no I assume a lot of them came over last night and you know kind of what we get to do but you know go ahead go on you go I was going to say speaking of that you know we travel so much our athletes travel so much and they’re gone on the bus and you know we were at the um we were at the basketball Bank fortunately the other night and man how about both our basketball teams holy every player being an academic Allstar and our what it was our so academic All Conference so what that is is you had to have a 3.0 GPA on the team managers players everyone every member of both teams was on that yeah we have the most travel in the state our total GPA between boys and girls the girls was 4.02 4.02 that’s that’s amazing but overall I believe we were sitting at about a 4.0 GPA as a team boys and girls yeah that’s that’s so awesome and you know hats off to these these student athletes it starts with Josh andell doesn’t it first pitch is outside for a ball one and0 very tight zone so far it is yeah and you know Mount homes got to learn from that after being out there on the mound watching Ian and watching and watching Drew anything belt higher above this um’s just not going to call we need to let that let that pitch go it’s next pitch line drive into right center field this is going to be picked up by the center fielder Rouse for the first out of the inning yeah Rouse was kind of shaded to the right center side of things which as a lefty that’s what you want to do as a right-handed batter you’re not going to be able to pull a lefty very often uh you want to go the other way and you know Lake Hamilton knows that and tells you too that Dave is going to try to live on that outer half of the plate so Lincoln Sherry will come to the plate now the bomber third baseman Lincoln a very outstanding defensive third basem this infield can really play some defense for Mountain Holm yeah and we’re young too right I mean I think all of our starting infielders are Juniors and and uh you we’ll be returning next year mhm fact eight of the nine starters today for B home will be back next year as his first pitch is in there for a strike 0 and one beautiful morning here in Harrison 67 de Sunny a very light Breeze blowing slightly out to Center this next one I I think Green County Tech probably wins that game um hadn’t seen much on silven Hills you know I if you every team’s good once you get to this point but it’s a lot about draw right I mean we saw that in the lady bomber side of things in basketball and the in the bomber side of things in basketball depends on what draw you get as to where you fall in the bracket you know this both of these two teams got to look at the draw and be like you know some of the I guess we’ll call them favorites coming into the season in 5A they’re all kind of on one side down there and then and you know we kind of got the the other side this draw over kind of Open Season on this side yeah it kind of is all teams are kind of evenly matched and um you know it’s kind of one of those you got to like where you are so but I think I think Green County teag I is who I would say might win that next game but that will be baseball yeah who knows you’re you’re facing one stud one pitcher having a great day away per inning there and so you know you this is one that you’re you’re really hoping to get out of this inning and see if you can’t get down into to that their Bullpen and see if you can keep this game inning Mountain Holmes done a good job to limit all this yeah they’ve done a good job honestly he could have got out of that inning you know keping it two to one but that’s what happens but here we’re halfway through the game we’re in this game we’re one one um you know down one run and yeah I kind of like the feel and the way this game’s kind of going m home has kind of put the pressure on Lake Hamilton shy that first inning you know lake Lake Hamilton had had a lot going yeah they hadn’t had a lot going and Drew’s done a good job coming in kind of limiting them so Drew Haney is only at 45 and got a comebacker and he nibbled on those first two pitches once he got those he just couldn’t find the Zone see if we can get another one of those double play balls that we’ve been so good at getting so Davis struck out his first time up Thomasson has reached on a walk twice and then it will be Cameron hail and Easton Hurley after this first pitch from Haney showing bunt pulls it back batting I don’t know if he didn’t bat a lot or or what but I don’t have a whole lot on him in his batting this year and so what I said I don’t have a lot of stats on Davis batting this year so it sounds like he they normally DH him but I I want to say and again this might be incorrect I don’t think they have one of their normal hitters in their lineup someone at the bottom the lineup so he’s the bat it’s kind of in No Man’s Land once he once he got to that cut of the grass which it switches from Turf to natural grass in the Outfield he kind of trip he lost his footing just a little bit and but with the runners having to stay put not knowing if he’s going to catch it or not Finley did a good job not panicking after after he dropped it and getting that Force out at at third almost could have thrown a second then thrown to third got a double play out of it but good job getting the one out Easton Hurley will come to the plate now one and two today had a single in the first inning always hated playing on this Turf to Grass it slopes off and it always drops back so water doesn’t roll back up on the turf andh now that doesn’t happen a whole lot at our place coach cudworth does a great job with that Outfield first pitch High Fly ball into left Center going over as Carter Atkins he will make the catch and the bombers hold Lake Hamilton scoreless for a third straight half inning great job there by Drew Haney coming in and digging deep after throwing some walks and uh and getting getting two good pitches to get two outs on two good hitters so this half inning for Mountain Holm it will be one two three do up Haner Dunlap and Jackson corpse see the top of the lineup can do some damage here we’re getting down to the the nuts and bolts of this game I mean just keep clawing out runs yeah I mean that’s what you do I mean we’re right in this game we’ve they’ve had one inning we’ve held them this is kind of the game we thought it would be right here this kind of everybody kind you’ve had time to warm your arm up you’ve had time to get your arm conditioned and I mean these kids can go throw you know it was pitch count kind of become an issue late later in the late these current years you know back in the day it was kind of go there and how’ your arm feel does it feel good yeah go out there and throw not saying it’s right or wrong but we were G changed my arm still on fifth I hadn’t seen I hadn’t seen crib down there throwing so it looks like Lake Hamilton’s going to go with they’re going to stick with Davis here crows crib right now as we talk going down they’re GNA looks like they’re going to crank up their pitcher they had warming up earlier that was Blaine crib so he’s going to get things cranked up with the third base bullpen so last time we let Jackson swing away in this situation first and second here you know you always as a coach love to be able to get your players over there on base and you know kind of get an offensive game plan what we’re line drive right to the right fielder fortunate events series of events for Mountain Home yeah I mean they had the hit and run on I mean that’s the only place you don’t want to yeah I don’t even know if it was a hit and run I think it was just a straight steal and trying to get to second get your Runner and scoring position and the unfortunate batter put it on play and on line drive if I mean here’s the reality if that’s a base hit he probably May score get to third easily so hey Mountain will take the advantage now we need to take advantage of it at the plate we got two more bats let’s see if we can’t get a lead and and kind of shut this thing down for two innings so Davis will return to the mound here in the top of the sixth inning there’s an All Turf Mound that’s you you made a lot of trips to baseball parks is that is that unusual to see that or uh kind of 50/50 that you go to um you know as a pitcher I know you like you want the um you want the the dirt Mound you like that you like being able to plant and push off of it um you know the the crazy thing is a lot of time with the rules they won’t let you wear metal cleats on this Turf Mound U I don’t know what their rules are here I know when we came here for 14U they would not let us wear metal cleats on on the field really they didn’t want you have having it all on them but as it you know that kind of plays with your footing a little bit um but this one’s this one’s okay I’ve been on it actually last year when our pitchers were pitching and it’s an okay Mound um we about to home I guess is very unique we have a Turf infield but a dirt Mound dirt Mound yeah people like it everybody I’ve talked to when they come there they love the fact that we kept the dirt Mound I don’t think Coach Stevens likes the dirt Mound cuz he’s the one that’s keeps up with it it is a lot more work uh you know you get that that it always looks good though it does you get the dirt kind of on the front front of the turf and you know I know they’re pretty particular about how it looks and treats it they do a good job with it but it’s a it’s a it’s a unique to have and there’s a lot just baseball is so fun there’s so many three runs should have been out of it with two um but gave up three and that’s baseball though that happens is it is and I tell you if you’re mounting home you got to like where you’re sitting you got the top of your lineup coming up in the bottom of the end big pressure point you’re going to have a kid coming in possibly that’s not pitched as much as their top two pitchers but still seems like he’s solid kid good kid good pitcher but we’ll see if they make a change or if they if they stay with Davis they got a lefty down there warming up too righty and a lefty down there uh but Mountain inning pitches he’s faced the most batters for them this year he throws throws quite a few more pitches per inning than Davis does he’s in the 16 to almost 17 pitches per inning pitch um but still he uh a lot of strike percentage around the 65 66% strike rate and first pitch strike 64% so he’s going to be around the zone so it will be jet Haner Dawson Dunlap and Jackson Corp you couldn’t ask for a is now this is deep deep in the the cam of the rule book if it if the ball had hit we got we got lucky it sounds like we got the if the ball had hit Dunlap jet would have gone back to the bases I don’t know if it would have hit him it would have been a dead ball I believe if he was inside the Baseline but the game is tied so the bombers do not have a run in scoring position but they have tied this ball game here in the seventh inning but we were going to have man on second with nobody out yeah chance to take the lead so Dunlap I guess they’re saying that Dunlap when he went to Second pushed off the first baseman I think that’s what the call is at that point in time so if that’s the case then yeah the Run scores so yeah we’re good either way we’ve already thrown a pitch we can’t go back now n so it is three to three now next pitch to Corp outside but he swung at it 0 and two so it’s all and two now the pitch to Corp ground ball left side fou that’s a tough pitch has a curve ball there by Harley started at the knees dropped to the back foot of court court fouled it off good job fouling that pitch off so there’s only one out scoreboard says two which at this point I’ve just given up looking at the scoreboard yeah they have no they have the Run correct about it and the 02 to Corp swung on and missed on a high strike that’s the second out so now the question is if your Lake Hamilton is now that this game is scored or tied how long do you go with Hurley how long do you go with your Ace your other Ace do I mean if this game continues on and home he gets 30 pitches he but on the huge point of that if that is the call that they call let’s and we need to focus on what’s going on right now but if that’s the call that was called the play should have been immediately game over yep yeah so they did the old slash bu with Hurley right here they fake buned they pulled it back and slashed it good job there by jet getting to the ball and getting in quickly now again I will say no matter what happens both of these teams have played great awesome game phenomenal game take anything away from infields in they’re outfields in got to go do or die play at the plate right here this will be pitch 102 for Drew Haney the base is loaded infield in Outfield in this pitch is low for a ball one and0 need a strike out big time ground to the left side and that’s going to do it so Lake Hamilton gets the walk-off winner in the bottom of the seventh inning and Mountain Home season is over nice base hit right there at the end of the the field put a B on the ball Lincoln did everything he could to try to stop the ball and knock it down just unable to knock it down so again the final score Mountain Home loses four to three that is as hard fought a game as you’ll see call so that’s going to do it from Harrison so Mountain Holm season is over they will finish in the first round of the Class 5A state tournament man what a season though they were they were looking like a deer in the headlights dead to right with six games left of the season and they responded and fought to the very last at bat yeah fought it down to the end and uh you know fought back to even get here and once they got here they they played the number one team out of the South someone who’s expected to do well and go along in this tournament gave them all they wanted there and you know great season by Mountain Home and fought hard and young still you know return they’ll have everyone back so they’ll they’ll lose corn Morris they’ll lose Jackson DeMent they will lose Brady Lance Brady Lance they will lose madx Carney they will lose Jed Hanford you lose those five seniors who have made a left a big Mark yep on this Mountain Home ball Club yep great job big plays by those you know jet having a great game scoring that tie run and definitely going to miss those guys but Future’s bright still for this bomber team moving forward so again the final score from from Harrison Lake Hamilton wins four to three the final line score Lake Hamilton with four runs on six hits they had four errors Mountain Home finishes with three runs four hits and they had two errors in the ball game Lake Hamilton
