lot of basketball I watched good deal of hockey not I watch more basketball than hockey I expect that to switch in the coming days uh cuz hockey hockey only gave us two games on Saturday is that true yeah you got to give us four on Saturday I wish you got to go ball I wish there was a way we could I could do both but I can’t I’m just too stupid to do both I don’t know what it is about like I really I I flip at the hockey when the basketball stinks and then when I flip it the hockey I almost never flip it back I’m like the hockey rules tell but I never think to turn on the hockey yeah why don’t I think to turn on the hockey it’s only when like the game the basketball game’s disgusting I’m like I don’t want to watch this anymore and I flip it over the hockey and I feel like every time I I flip it to hockey they’re going to intermission too many breaks too many breaks yeah too many breaks however uh hockey had no overtimes but they had that one crazy first period between the AVS and the Jets yeah I’ll say this about lot of goals in that game I’ll say this about hockey um you watched the these playoffs and it happens every April and every May when I noticed the Stark difference you watch like a game in Boston you watch a game in Miami you watch a game maybe in I don’t Columbus I sure Columbus although they’re not in the playoffs this year um uh Dallas sure um okay what about uh Los Angeles possibly yes Anaheim right uh the San Jose Sharks no not no not in the playoffs so anyway okay Sor you you watch a game in those cities you’re like oo nice playoff atmosphere and then it gets to like 7:00 at night and it’s switches to a game in western Canada and these [ __ ] are tearing the building apart yeah I don’t understand why Canada can’t win a Stanley Cup because every time you watch a game in a Canadian a playoff game in a Canadian it looks like a riot yeah so what is it about these franchises that makes them go ahead Brandon uh small markets poor cities no money okay that answer that is that is that right I don’t know that how does hockey pay do they pay in dollars yes yeah loonies they don’t pay in like salmon and P Canadian beer poutin P you ever had P you ever had good poutin it’s so good it’s so good why is it not an American thing I don’t know but yeah I’m there’s a place in my town that said they had poutine on the menu and I got it and didn’t have the gravy in there it just had this top you got to have the gravy I thought we had like a good relationship with Canada but the lack of putine in this country makes me think that like I think it’s us you to sleep because it doesn’t but there is like the jolt like kind of like gets you on your yeah yeah it’s not like you were knocked out sleeping but you’re just kind of like watching them pass it back and and then you hear the ding you’re like [ __ ] well you have most of the action where you’re sitting and you’re and you’re watching then you have the goal which gets you immediately out of your seat and you yell but then you have the Ting that that go yeah I almost stood almost stood right there yeah it’s a great breakdown BR yeah thanks it’s a great breakdown uh do you overreact to game one of NBA playoff series I do not however however I think I am I I don’t like I don’t talk gambling on the show a lot but I personally believe if you wait till the Nuggets beat the Lakers tonight which they’re going to I think the Lakers could win this series I think the Lakers showed enough in that game one where I think they’re going to be I think it’s a seven game series I think it’s going to be very close throughout I know they ended up losing by what 10 or whatever I think I think the Lakers can win this series even though they’re going to lose the first two games is that crazy you doing like a character or something over there how’s that a character I’m I’m actually saying what the Lakers have lost nine in a row to the Nugget I know that’s why they’re in the perfect spot they’re the perfect spot they are in the perfect spot let me tell you why not to win this let let me tell you why let me I think they could I don’t wait like if meteor strikes and and joic I gets his legs amputated like how are they going to win the series I think we’re in a seven game series I think we’re in a seven game series I think this is going to be the best series of the first round all right uh I think you are drinking the LeBron no I’m because what what based what what about the basketball I’m about to tell you okay explain it to me because I really think obviously joic had 32 12 and S you know uh he was good but if you look at LeBron ad joic and Murray the top two on both sides MH they played to a pretty much stand still you know LeBron had I wrote it down 27 6 and 8 ad had 32 and 14 yic had 32 12 and 7 Murray had 22 and 10 it’s between 3 and 6 the Nuggets just wore the Lakers ass out on Saturday they just absolutely destroyed him um Lefty Ohio State D’Angelo Russell was awful I think he’s a lot better than he showed if he is if he’s having a bad shooting day they don’t have much of a chance I don’t think he’s going one of nine from three I don’t think he’s going six of 20 the rest of the series and I think that three through six is going to play better and give the Lakers a chance to win the series you think I’m crazy that’s fine I do think you’re crazy everybody out there can think I’m crazy I think that that game that was a game for but that was every G that was every single game they played every game they play is the exact same script yeah every game is the exact d’angel Russell has been hor he was horrible every game against the Nuggets last year yeah that they played and then he was horrible in this game like so the yeah I I I I hear what you’re saying but that’s how every single one of these games go is the the Lakers were up by 12 so you’re like dude if they could just why don’t they just why don’t they just keep doing what they were doing yeah and the the answer is you’re relying on two guys this is not a slide on the Bron LeBron’s [ __ ] awesome but LeBron has to pick his spots he does he he’s at an age now where like he can’t just smash the pedal to the floor forh every second he’s on the floor um and eventually he runs out of gas a little bit and he can’t he just can’t sustain that and they and they need the Lakers need LeBron to be like 10 years younger and Anthony David like they are good they’re just the the nuggets are so [ __ ] good and so deep and they play so well together that 12-point lead just went away in seconds nobody can guard nobody on the Lakers can guard Jamal Murray nobody on the Lakers can guard joic and you could say that nobody can guard ad or Lebron but like Gordon’s Gordon’s okay on LeBron I think M Murray’s a bigger problem for teams than joic because yic is just gonna get his he’s just gonna do it that that’s fine they got a number two guy as good as Jamal Murray and is very very happy being number two and number three is very happy being number three and four like they they’re they’re a very well-built team yeah um and they play so well together and yic elevates everybody they’re they’re they’re yeah if if you switch their jerseys if the Nuggets were in Lakers jerseys and the Lakers were in nuggets jerseys everyone would think the Nuggets would would sweep them without hesitation that being said I think I think it’s the jerseys and I think it’s LeBron James he’s 39 years old and still great I’m not saying LeBron’s fallen off I’m just saying he’s he has to pick his spots because that’s he’s he’s just he’s just older that’s how it works that being said there was a there was a period in the third in the third the other day where it was still relatively close and LeBron hit at one point he hit Jamal Murray not Jamal Murray he hit D’Angelo Russell for a wide open layup that he missed then he missed a three that turns into six points on the other end like it just I I I feel like those three through six guys if they can if they can tighten that Gap a little bit I think this is a series I know that’s crazy now ask me the question again do I overreact to the to game one do you overreact to game one the Celtics are the best team in NBA history and I don’t think a a combined team of the rest of the East could beat the Celtics that’s how the Celtics are cruising to the NBA Championship no I don’t overreact game one yeah it does suck that the heater banged up because that would I I the Celtics would still win this series but to based on what happened last year to have a rematch of the heat Celtics with a fully healthy heat would have been awesome the Celtics would have won but at least it would have been yeah entertaining to watch the the tug of war but yeah the Celtics are going to steamroll the heat I have another uh another take about the number two seed the bucks so Giannis is banged up right mhm that’s when you take Giannis first of all they’re they’re clearly better with jannis on the floor he’s he’s one of the top 10 best players in in the league fine that’s still a good starting five without Giannis yeah like if Dame now becomes your number one option you still got Middleton you still got all these guys poris is a good player on and on it on that’s a good starting five like they destroyed the Pacers were the Pacers favored by the Pacers were favored by the time that game started they were favor in the series yeah yeah that’s wrong CU that even though you look at the team you say Well they’re not going to be as good without Giannis that may be true but Lillard leading a team that talented is still a good NBA basketball team yeah I think it’s just I think the the Betty markets were reacting to the inseason tournament and I think you it’s hard like they kicked their ass all year I think Pacers won four out of five yeah and when you’re going to when you’re going to set odds you’re just like yeah this team was who could forget that Legendary Run to the runner up in the inseason tournament from these Indiana Pacers that’s been a problem with odds makers for years in the NBA they always overreact they overreact season tournament yeah um so just when you think like I don’t know the Pacers have kind of fallen off a little bit like you’re going to place your bet and you’re like but that they can tap into that end-season tournament run MH maybe they’ll be back um what I like about this show is we don’t have anybody who holds grudges about players or gets their feelings H about players or gets surprised when a player does well or something like that uh Connor what was the text you sent about James Harden playing well yesterday I said while I’m very impressed by James Harden’s perform you could stopped the sentence right there I then said is it predictable enough that we all know he’s just going to completely combust for a game or two down the stretch and yes he’s going to have his moment now but he’s not going to have his moment later on yeah and it’s going to hurt the Clippers one of the most Debbie Downer takes I’ve ever heard yeah but I don’t I think the way the Clippers are constructed in the way the Sixers should have been constructed around Harden is that at this point in his career you don’t need him to be as good as he was in game one every single game you just need him every so often and then in a perfect world with the Clippers rqu is hurt obviously so like we don’t know how how effective he going be but like next game it’s going to be Paul George next game it’s going to be kawhai next game like that’s how I think the Clippers would like this to go yeah so you don’t need James Harden to to be dominant every single night I think the the main point of what I was trying to say is that I think in the NBA there are so many patterns my Sixers are going through right now with embiid you know Joel embiid is probably going to get banged up in the postseason and he’s not going to be what he was in the regular season James Harden has shown flashes in the postseason where you think oh my God this guy’s the best but then he ultimately falls apart like uh so it’s just these patterns and this history repeats itself type of narrative that I think yeah like the Celtics the Celtics will get to the finals but Tatum and brown will shrink and and um wait is every I’m sorry I I got to stop pH blown is every [ __ ] phone in this phone is blown up is there like a is there a tornado is that you yeah it’s the wolf pack group chat what does that what’s the wolf pack that’s mine season play great there’s something more at play here do you just are you just forever going to hate everybody who came to the Sixers and didn’t win a championship no I don’t I don’t hate you were happy when Jimmy Butler got hurt I was not happy Jimmy Butler got you were you were you don’t you don’t like James Harden I don’t like him but I don’t hate him at some point will Sixers fans realize it could be you guys it could be the Sixers because Ben Simmons comes to town everything’s happy everything’s good for a while and then and then that falls apart James Harden comes to town seven-footer who when he’s healthy is great but yes he’s always banged up when it comes down to it and we pay $185 million to a bum in Tobias Harris who I won off the floor there you go so maybe it the more insane things to me because I I watched the Denver I watch like every second of Nuggets playoff basketball the last few years and he is otherworldly he’s so [ __ ] good and then you you look up and you’re like zero All-Star games how’s that possible uh they pointed out on the broadcast yesterday he is the number one or two days ago I guess it was number one um alltime step up your points per game in the playoffs guy in NBA history really he a just seven and a half more points a game in the playoffs than he does in the regular season that’s crazy yeah that’s incredible so that’s why I think that’s the part about the Nuggets is like throughout the regular season you might catch I don’t know but like when the playoffs start like Jamal Murray becomes a completely different player he gets very [ __ ] serious and locked in and uh it’s crazy but then also also tighten the rotation I guess you can acknowledge by the way you can acknowledge that Jamal Murray steps his game up and scores seven and a half more points cuz he’s more locked in you can acknowledge that the and they do that the whistle is different in the playoffs and that the intensity you talk to players and they’re like Steph Curry that that quote’s been going around I’ve been hearing that a lot that Steph Curry says one playoff games like two or three regular season games packed into one in terms of intensity and all this but don’t you God damn it don’t you say it Brandon that in the regular season the NBA players take some plays off or that they don’t bring it every single night God damn it don’t you dare say that did you see the Bucks official account yesterday tweeted out uh what happened in those 82 games doesn’t matter yeah yeah but I’ll be goddamned if you were someone that’s like I I don’t love watching them regular season because I don’t really feel like they try that hard you son of a you don’t [ __ ] get it you don’t get it how dare you say that Jamal Murray only averages 216 and four during the regular season and then he just completely out 28 in the playoffs yeah Jesus yeah yeah I mean he’s he’s awesome yeah the Lakers can’t guard him and they can’t guard yic and not ago or when you were gone in the middle of the Season yeah he just said he just said I retired and the Yankees are playing well right yeah so the Yankees start out hot and he’s like three weeks in can now they’re so cheap I think somebody said this was less than like $400 total TVs are BOGO now yeah you can’t buy one alone TVs are they’re throwing TVs at you if you walk in the Best Buy um but like what the point stands everything you’re saying I agree with it is a very funny visual very funny gift to give um having said all that I would take the TV if if you gave me if if if I was done with this show I was like I was like I’m moving on jobs and you guys gave me an 83 in TV I’d be like I mean this is an absurd gift but like also yeah I’m gonna I’m GNA take this home and and set up
