Matt Wallace set the pace after a weather-delayed opening round at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024, where amateur Kris Kim impressed on his PGA Tour debut. Wallace managed to birdy five of his opening six holes on his way to a stunning bogey-free 63 at TPC Craig Ranch, adding three more in his last eight holes to set the clubhouse lead at eight under par. Wallace’s bag has witnessed a few changes over the past 12 months, switching out his old hybrid for the Titleist T200 and a new putter as well.
