what’s up everybody it’s period here with the Four Aces just thought I’d help everyone out a little bit on putting uh I see a lot of amateurs out there they just toss some balls down and just start whacking and that’s never really a good way to kind of get into Rhythm but also get into form to go out and play so what I always do is I set up my string like I have right here and find the straight Putt and I put the mirror underneath so then when I actually step over I can make sure that my eyes are always in the same spot a lot of amateurs they get their eyes too far over or too far back and therefore your line gets all messed up on trying to figure out where you’re actually aimed for me the biggest thing is I mean how you kind of get started is when you set up kind of in posture kind of athletic just let your hands hang and then when your hands hang that’s then where you grab the putter cuz you don’t want to reach or or be to in so for me I just get here I kind of get where my eyes are set directly over it then just let my hands hang and that’s how I grip it and I’m ready to go and you know throughout this I’ll just kind of hit a bunch of putts underneath here until I feel comfortable and watching the ball cuz cuz I mean you can see if the ball starts down the line and I think that’s the biggest thing is there’s no real right or wrong answer on how many putts to hit it’s not like I go out there and say I need to hit 10 or I need to hit 20 it it’s you go until you feel comfortable until you feel like your Strokes grooved and ready to go and you know I mean I would say a minimum 10 putts underneath it but uh you know just cuz repetition but really it’s just until you feel comfortable and then from this point after I get done hitting those I’ll set up some T’s from the hole and I’ll go 15 ft 20 ft 25 ft and working strictly on speed cuz that’s the other thing that all amateurs mess up on the reason why they three putt it’s not because they miss a one or two footer it’s because they have a first Putt and they hit it four five six feet away from the hole and now they’re having a lot of stress trying to hit those so biggest things in putting is one speed and two making sure that your your stroke stays consistent your eyes stay in the same spot so you can line up the putter so now that I found the straight putt right now really the biggest thing for me is focusing on that when I when I set up that my eyes are directly over the the line because if my eyes get too far in then it’s easy to aim right or vice versa they get too far over it aims left so for me it’s just making sure the eyes are where they need to go and feel like the putter stays right on that line all the way through and if I do that as long as the hands are you know the shoulders are rocking the hands aren’t moving then the ball should start directly underneath that line which is a great visual with having it above that you’ll be able to see the ball go right down it what I like to do is I set up at least seven feet from the hole because if if you barely miss it pull it or push it and it’s harder to see you’ll get one that misses and that’s how you know all right well the face either was closed or open before a round oh the amount of putts I had is me if you think 28 a day on course and then my practice alone is probably close to 200 putts a day cuz I do some of my room I mean thing is I mean it’s true drive for show put for dough I mean at the end of the day you hit 14 t- shots with w Woods or off Par Four and par five but you have at minimum 18 putts every hole it comes down to the Putter and so for me putting is what wins golf tournaments the last things I would say is if you could do this every day at least 10 to 20 putts before your round or even before practice whenever you’re out there your putting will improve hands down
