um I I knew that there was that there were talks uh of course and uh I mean these are not deals that are finalized overnight so uh I of course I of course knew about the discussions that were going on um but yeah not that it was for sure whatsoever just I knew there were discussions um well first of all I don’t want to compare teammates in in between each other and uh as well I don’t want to go too much into the details of that out of of respect for Carlos especially because we’ve had great years together we have a great relationship we’ve got one more year together and we’ll try to finish uh on the highest note possible and it’s been uh absolutely great to be working with Carlos on the other hand we’ve got uh such an incredible Champion joining the team in Louis I have a great relationship with uh with with Lewis and um it’s a great opportunity for Ferrari and and myself so uh but again I I don’t want to go too much into the details of that as for now we are still in 2024 still one season to go and uh I’ll give my my best in order to uh finish uh the collaboration with Carlos on on a high and hopefully with a title that will be the best uh possible way uh to uh to do this 2024 season of course I mean it’s it’s never easy on the other hand we also know this sport by heart uh and myself we’ve been growing up in this Sport and we know that things can can change uh it’s obviously not not not easy for for for Carlos um uh and we have been discussing about it a lot because we are spending so much time especially in this uh part of the season with all the photo shoots and everything so we’ve been discussing a lot uh but again I I think he’s extremely motivated as much as I am in order to finish this last season on the highest node possible and uh starting from Bahrain will give it all until the last race to to have a great season yeah absolutely you know it’s something that you have to to to to think about and realize quickly and then move on and move forward we still have a a very important year ahead of us uh 2024 I I hope that we can make good progress compared to last year and and put together a strong season and then I’ll give myself some time you know to to also think about the future sure there’s plenty of options out there good options to to to move forward after being obviously a Ferrari driver with wins with po positions I feel in a in a strong position moving forward and uh yeah knowing that it’s been a really nice period in my life h no absolutely there was always good talks and positive talks and then obviously it is true that at one point at one point I got to know about this and it surprised me as I guess as much as it surprised you guys uh back in the UK no but um it is true I got to know it a bit be in advance before it all happened um as I said it surprised me but it also gave me a bit of time to to to think about it to to realize what what was happening and and try to move forward and thinking that still with one year ahead of us in in Ferrari I wanted to to close off my chapter here in Ferrari in the best possible way absolutely not I think I’ve always been as professional as I’ve as I can be in every team that I’ve gone to but also especially as a Ferrari driver I think I behav the best I could these last three years and I’ve yeah always been a a good team player in every team that I’ve been to and it will be a same case this this year I just want to to do the best for this for this team I love Ferrari I I I love my time here and I want to make sure we have a successful year together trying to fight for wins trying to keep improving the results that I’ve been getting this year that are last year that were already good so yeah uh just motivated you know to to do the best I can well you only need to go Case by case no and I think if you go individually Case by case there are very different reasons know why I leave one team to go to the other in the end I can only tell you that when a seven time world champion comes knocking in the door of a of a a team like Ferrari is it’s obviously going to be a very attractive options for for both parts no and you know I I know that I as I said before I’ve given my my maximum for this team I will keep doing the same and there’s plenty of good options out there to continue my career I not going to lie there’s important years ahead of me now I want to be find the like I did in Ferrari a good stability good um a good environment to work in and I’m going to take my time to listen to all the options and and and pick the best possible option to to to be happy but also to be competitive and winning as soon as possible again again no not at all I totally respect Louis and and his choice uh if anything maybe I would have come here even earlier no because I love Ferrari and and I think it’s a great place to to to spend um part of your career I’ve always wanted to be a Ferrari driver and I’ve done my my stin four years that I love I’ve also been on the other side of things when I came here to Ferrari in place of Sebastian betel and uh you know between drivers between all of us we know this is a business and and we just uh yeah end up in different teams sometimes it’s your turn to move over other times you arrive there and it’s you know I’m mature enough I’ve been in this business long enough to to know how how these things work

  1. Ferrari is betting on Charles, that's why they signed Lewis, Charles is young, but still he has a lot to learn, that's why he needs a veteran next to him so he can learn from him, essentially if we're talking about Hamilton

  2. Carlos Sainz is an amazing Driver and i was sad form him because even being a LH fan, i think the job Carlos was doing in Ferrari was amazing. And he had a chance to even fight for the title if Ferrari had a competitive car. Im not even sure how i feel about LH in Ferrari, so i dont think i will be cheering for him there. But ill hope Carlos can go to a very competitive team to see much of him yet! He's great!! Vamos Carlos!!!!

  3. Every team will be lining up for an attempt to have Carlos Sainz on their team, professional and super quick, gets the most out of any car he is in.

    wishing him all the best!

id say they will regret this but having Hamilton at Ferrari is just too enticing.

  4. He said "I am gonna pick the best possible options and there are good options". I feel like he has been offered a place from other teams. It is very unlikely Red Bull but I think it is Mercedes.

  5. Imagine this situation: You're being interviewed about how you feel about being fired and if the next person will do a better job than you do lol

  6. Ferrari will regret the decision to replace Sainz with Hamilton by mid-season 2025. Carlos has racing in his DNA and once past his appendicitis surgery, he is set to stand above Leclerc on the podium throughout the 2024 season. Also, I do agree… Sainz is a class act.

  7. Carlos Sainz is an absolute gentleman and a class act. Everyone loves this guy. He is an amazing driver that deserves a seat in a top F1 team.

  8. I don’t think he will go to red bull because he mentioned he wants environment like Ferrari and red bull is not that but who knows he deserves a fast car

  9. Love all the people involved (Lewis + Carlos). Carlos is a class act and he's about to show and prove this year that he belongs on one of the top teams

  10. The greatest team of all, two excellent drivers as well as human beings. We will miss their connection and good humour and disposition. For Carlos, I wish him the best wherever he ends up! Hope in Mercedes, if Toto makes the wisest decision.

  11. now that other teams are catching up, it would be great if carlos gets back to RB.. he is a consistent strong performer.. better than checo tbh

  12. Together, they were more than just teammates; they were a dynamic force that brought energy, charisma, and a touch of humor to the paddock.Their departure is not just the end of a racing partnership; it’s the conclusion of a chapter that will be remembered for its vibrancy and the sheer joy they brought to the sport.

  13. Well Carlos is quite younger than Lewis, no? If he keeps up his skills and waits until Lewis retires perhaps Ferrari will reconsider him in the future. Or, by then Carlos may be carving out his own legends with another team.

  14. The funniest thing is he saying that he will still be a good team player while he is risking both car and fighting with Leclerc more than everything else as if he didn’t carry

  15. I’m not surprised Carlos is out . Great driver but could not outpace Charles .
I think Carlos would do great for a team like HASS .
