Tory Taylor will be a FAN FAVORITE just like Devin Hester was #nfl @chicagobears

Adam Rank joins the CHGO Bears and explains why Chicago Bears fans should and will come to love 4th round pick Tory Taylor the same way they did Devin Hester.

this is the thing that bothers me is that we spent how many years how many years trying to get Devon Hester into the Hall of Fame and what was our reasoning we’d be like hey football’s all three fa got to win all three phases of the game special teams are super important and so now we get Devon Hester into the Hall of Fame and now we’re like ah who cares we don’t care about special teams anymore no this is this is a Chicago Bears pick see 20 years from now we’re going to be trying to put this guy into the Hall of Fame being like punters deserve like punters Chang the game it’s not like we didn’t pick romad dun you know like we we didn’t pass up like a superstar but we did draft a superstar Andrew ceciliano even mentioned like we got USC’s Washington’s and Iowa’s biggest superstars in this draft I think over the next couple of years we’ll be like I’m glad we have this guy and I think as personality will shine through and he will end up being a fan favorite and he will be here for a long time

  1. Good punters make shitty situations better. Bad punters make shitty situations worse. I’m glad we have him.

  2. He’s going to go down as the bears best punter of all time and he’s going to put opponents in horrible starting positions and our defense will feast on strip sack fumbles and pick sixes. One of my favorite Hawkeyes of all Time. The Hawkeyes won a game solely on his punts that resulted in safeties and Iowa goes on to win 7-3

  3. Devin Hester didn’t deserve to be in the HoF. The only reason he was “the best returner” is because he sucked as a WR / CB. Tyreke Hill is a better returner than Hester was but was too important on offense to risk him getting hurt.

  4. Not even a bears fan, but it’s not untrue to say that a good punter contributes more to the yardage and field-position game of football as any player on a given team. Between a touchback and a pin is at least 15 yards of space, and mid-field punts that can get the height to limit returns are crucial to not give up a 15-20 yard return. We’re talking potentially 40 yards of swing on a single play

  5. We needed a punter. Gill sucked. Plus, if the Bears do get into the playoffs, with the cold weather, a good punter is needed.

  6. This was a great pick it all adds up to a great Draft Poles did his magic. I have to agree Chicago up BEAR DOWN 💯🐻🏈 Exciting season ahead Thanks Adam

  7. Only fan base that I’ve heard of being excited about a punter. If I don’t ever see my punter punt once all year I will be happy.
