Have you ever thought about adding alignment aids to your putter? 🤔

Tony Finau uses a unique style of alignment in the form of an arrow on the heel of his putter
.
By adding it to this position, he can check if the putter is aiming square or not by if the arrow is aiming at a 90° like to his feet alignment
.
If he finds that the arrow is slightly towards his left or right foot then he knows he needs to make an adjustment
.
Having tried this out on my own putter, for me it doesn’t seem to help as much as I was thinking that it would as it is still quite difficult to work out if the arrow is pointing exactly where you want it to
.
It also means that your feet have to be aiming in the right direction in the first place as well otherwise it could throw it off a bit
.
I would potentially say that it could be a psychological thing more than anything or just something in place that reminds him to check his alignment
.
Ultimately it is whatever works for you and if it means drawing an arrow on the heel of your putter then it makes sense to have it there
.
You could experiment with anything though in terms of alignment until you figure out what works best
