Hi. I’m “Gio Palermo”, also known as “legorocks99” (“legorocks99Gaming”, “LR99Gaming”, or “LR99”). I post video game commentaries on YouTube revolving around “hockey”, with a primary focus on “Vancouver Canucks”, “Montreal Canadiens”, “Detroit Red Wings”, and top “NHL prospects” topics. These videos are uploaded with “NHL 24” gameplay in the background. I enjoy making these videos and I hope that you enjoy watching them!

so as we had just talked about we did a big stream for the 2024 NHL draft lottery thank you to y’all who did spend some time to hang out with us and have a good time we opened some hockey cards I pulled a hands of gold Henrik sadine from a 1999 shl Upper Deck Pack and I was very happy with that but what I also was pretty happy with was the results of the draft lottery because if you take a look at the order on tank ofon it turns out that for the first time since 2010 the draft order did not change after the lottery St Louis Detroit San Jose Minnesota Philadelphia Buffalo New Jersey Calgary Seattle Ottawa Utah Montreal Columbus Anaheim Chicago and San Jose that is our order and with this video I wanted to go out there and talk about the Montreal Canadians because with the Habs sticking around at fifth overall this gives Kent Hughes a very interesting decision to make because if you go over to the elite prospects Consolidated ranking for the 2024 NHL draft you are going to find names all over the place now this is Consolidated quote unquote so it is kind of the average of all the rankings but this year especially compared to all the other years this 2 to let’s say 10 range is all over the place mlin celebrini is going to go one and that’s kind of the only thing we know we don’t know what else is going to happen any one of these guys lunov could go number two demidov could go number two Kaden Lindstrom could go number two there are so many names that are all in sort of a similar tier of player that from 2 to 5 we kind of have no clue what prospects will be available to the Montreal Canadians so what I wanted to do was just go over a few names talk about some guys that could be available in this range that the Habs and Kent Hughes might be interested in pretty much going over the names that I think most Canadians fans are talking about starting things off with number two Ivan demidov I also wanted to talk about Kaden Lindstrom Berkeley K and then we can go over to the potential 13th overall pick TJ ginla because he is also a name that a lot of habs fans a lot of fans of every other team seems to be interested in as well let’s go over to Ivan demidov because when it comes to him for monreal Canadians fans that were kind of hoping the team would take Matt mov last year this dude in demidov could very well be the Redemption if he is the Canadian’s choice at five now I kind of doubt he will be he’s a little bit more consistently ranked at the top of the draft compared to a lot of these other prospects I mean there are some Outlets like Bob McKenzie that have him at number six Chris Peters has him at number five but for the most part I think but for the most part I think demid Dov is going to be that guy he’s so skilled he’s so capable at scoring goals he was an absolute monster in the maell double Point per game guy and if you wanted Mish kov demidov could very well be just a tad better if you wanted to approach that territory but of course because he has such a high profile he might not even be available at five which is why we talk about some of the other forwards here Kaden lindstrm is the guy that we’ve been talking about the entire past few weeks here he’s been saying stuff about Montreal he’s been talking about SLV kovski talking about Coffield he wants this to happen he himself the Prospect and so for a lot of Canadians fans taking a look at Kaden lindström 64 216 left-handed guy lot of habs fans especially in our stream earlier today were saying that Lindstrom should be the guy 46 points 32 games played 27 goals he was almost a goal a game guy such a strong hockey player and somebody that I think Canadians fans will absolutely adore should he find himself in Montreal sometime soon especially on a line with yurovsky he said himself he would like to play with SLO is that not enough then you go over into some of the smaller guys Berkeley kten is 163 he is a player that has exhibited such a strong overall point scoring ability he scored a ton of goals this year in the WL 6-2 assists he is such a strong passer one of the greater minds in this year’s NHL draft and a guy that a lot of Canadians fans have been kind of eyeing for not necessarily because of his size but because his offensive ability could be so strong at the next level think about if anybody needs a player to set Cole Coffield up up night in and Night Out Berkeley Katon could very well be that guy katten Suzuki and Coffield could be a really good offensively potent line and that’s not even to disrespect us lovsky Ken is just that good at creating offense and there could be a really good fit here sticking in the WHL though there is another name here in Te ainla that a lot of Canadians fans have been asking for as well the fact is here te is not the biggest 6t 185 but he exhibits such a strong off- Puck aggression that that makes him so difficult to play against while also being such a strong offensively talented forward 84 points 64 games played 47 goals this guy was a goal scoring machine and of course he is the son of jome ainla so there’s a lot of connection here a lot of Canadians fans have been saying they want him a lot of flames fans at Ninth overall were kind of saying they wanted him too te is projected to go somewhere around 13 but that could very well rise as high as sixth overall top 8ish territory if you go out there and ask certain people in The Scouting world so ainla we have no idea what’s going to happen with him as this entire thing continues but he could very well be an option if the Montreal Canadians wanted to reach at their fifth overall selection I mean they have reached at fifth overall before they literally took David reinbacher last year but for TJ ginla he certainly would be a lot more of a consensus reach like if you had to choose a guy to go a lot higher than the projection State I think tjla is the guy that everybody seems to be more on board with than not there also is a conversation we could have about Cole Eiserman he’s here at 14th overall in the projection and a lot of people were asking like oh why is he ranked so low what’s the deal with this guy why do people not like him and the description that I kind of put out there on the stream was that Cole Eiserman plays almost exactly like that annoying eshl player plays in your video game he always wants the puck he always shoots the puck he doesn’t really make too many passes and plays with it but when this gu has the puck on his stick you know some way or another it’s finding itself on goal either it’s in the back of the net because Cole Eiserman is so good at scoring or it’s setting up a rebound in front for a chance on the other side this is a pure goal scorer who plays like a pure goal scorer and even his point total suggests that with the USHL competition he had 25 goals in 24 games and only nine assists this is a goal score through and through but almost to a fault because he does kind of sacrifice different elements of his game that don’t revolve around goal scoring in order to focus mostly on goal scoring so for Cole Eiserman this is a guy who very well could go somewhere in the top five if the Canadians really wanted to I mean he’s ranked fourth by Bob Mackenzie but a bunch of these other outlets have him at 14 11 16ish because some Scouts are really lower on him than others so it really depends on what you value if you want to talk about just pure goal scoring potential Eiserman is one of the best in this draft class if not top three but everything else surrounding his game is a question mark which is why his projector ranking is so low compared to some who have him so high so these are just kind of the names that I’ve seen a lot of Canadians fans talking about the most at fifth overall Lindstrom Ken demid do TLA iserman we don’t really think it would be projectable for the Canadians to take a defenseman because there are a bunch of dmen that could go in the top four even top five lunov Dickinson SV buam perek these guys could each be top 10 Tal and nobody would bat n but with the Canadians kind of trying to weave their way and navigate through that it would be kind of difficult to pinpoint where exactly they go here this draft is so wide open that it makes the conversation very difficult but I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comment section below where do you think the Canadians go with their draft selection in 2024 fifth overall it’s already confirmed let me know in the comments who you think they’re going to take I hope you enjoyed this vsh as r99 and bye

  1. First Line not changing in MTL
Your talking players 2-3 years away
    Cayden is Not Slaf

  2. As a habs fan I’m fine with whoever they take at 5, but I would like to see them trade up again in the first round and take a swing at Cole eiserman

  3. My best bet is either Lindstrom, Eiserman and or Konsta.

They need a forward not a defensemen. They have so much D. That it’s best to draft a Forward or a Goalie.

The Russians may not be a good option for Hughes as he missed out on Mitchkov. Maybe he can change his mind if Demidov is available.

I hope Hughes picks a good decision.

  4. If I was picking for the Canadians at no. 5, I'd say, don't choose a Russian player. If you really want a Russian player, use their other first round pick to get a Russian player. They can do it by trading that fist round pick and other draft picks to move up.

  5. Dude i want Iginla, the kid got super solid stats. Imagine having Martin Saint-Louis and Jerome Iginla around the younsters, unreal.

  6. at 27, with the jets pick, habs should try and pick up Parascak, guy is so good at everything but skating, and at 27 he'd be a massive steal

  7. This is so frustrating to me: Last year's draft was loaded with quality forwards, not to mention Mitchkov.. and the Habs went out to draft a d-man (rated 15th). Now this year's draft is loaded with future superstar d-Men and the Habs decide it is time to draft a forward. Is it me or the Habs recruiters are incredibly stupid? If the Habs had picked a forward last year, we would have the luxury of picking an amazing d-man this year, much better than Reinbacker. This sucks big time.

  8. Elite protests has Tij at 6, Sportsnet has him 5 now, Dobber has him 8 now, Smaht 9 and Bob 10th. He’s going top 10 for sure.

  9. Demidov will be gone to the Ducks. And Lindstrom will be going to Columbus. So Canadians will be taking a defenseman

  10. Well, Habs fans if Demidov or Linstrom is who you are looking for they might not be available at fifth… BUT, the Ducks did trade away one of their top defensive prospects in Drysdale to get Cutter Gauthier. Anaheim could use another top Blueliner prospect. Maybe trade for the Ducks third pick because there will be more than a few high end D talent available at the fifth spot. Obviously, it would cost a little bit to trade places but you guys have a good amount of picks and prospects to make it happen and guarantee either Demidov or Lindstrom. What do you think it would cost the Habs to move up to the third overall spot.

  11. my opinion is unpopular, but after watching the U18 worlds, I would love to see cole eiserman on the left wing of the 2nd line. He’s like a 2nd caufield and seems like a very hard working player

  12. Habs would do great if they traded 5th pick + ( 1 d man + Harris ) for a real top 4 established 23-26 year old forward. This is my best guess.

  13. IF Demidov or Lindstrom fall in our lap, either one would be automatic… after that it get's tricky…
Catton, the rising Iginla, or even the best remaining RD would be my next 3 if both Demidov and Lindstrom are gone before 5… I don't want Eiserman and once Bob does his final ranking Eiserman will be way down on his board too…

But Lindstrom is the one I think will be there and I fully expect us to grab him at 5….

  14. It looks like it should be Lindstrom, however if he is not available then go for Levshunov. If Demidov, Lindstrom and Levshunov are all taken by #5, then ??? Not sure who to go for, but i wouldnt be angry if we picked up Eiserman, or Catton. Hopefully the Habs know what they are doing.
Had we picked an Elite forward last season we wouldnt be in this position this season. Makes me wonder what the organization was thinking last summer. We could easily have a solid Dman in this draft, similar to Reinbacher caliber (maybe).
We shall see in 5yrs how this all plays out.
If Mitchkov comes in to the NHL in 2 seasons and becomes a superstar 🤨

  15. If Lindstrom, or Demidov are all taken trade the 5th pick to Stl for Dvorsky, and the blues 16th pick. Use that pick to grab another solid prospect (or chance of). Maybe throw in a Harris or a Struble. Dvorsky is pretty much guaranteed to be a 2nd line 2way Center or better.

  16. I pray that he moves up in the draft to 2nd or 3rd to get Demidov depending what Chicago does if they want Levshunov you trade up to grab Demidov and you run. I would give a lot to move up. Including the 5th OA and a good D prospect

  17. Worst case scenario for the Habs is Celebrini, Demidov, Lindstrom, and Levshunov are taken in the top 4. I think it's a clear top 4 and then 5 is where it gets murky. the Habs are in a spot to pick a great player, but it won't be an obvious pick like the top 4 are.
