hey guys I just played a really fun round at Champions here in Houston Texas and my main friend Steve elington gave me the best tip ever so what do we got here Steve well we talked today about you know everybody that knows you you know knows that you you know adhere to the miracle swing and all I reiterated was probably the most important thing that you do is is how you set set it up and we built you what we call a little F1 which is a fade one way and then we built you a little D1 draw one way so now when we put the miracle swing in when it comes out and you trap it it’s going to start that to the left and with the correct hinge on it you’ll that that’ll curve the ball back to the flag and then on the D1 which is the draw uh Christo’s new D1 is key here is we got to step our stance across the line so our aim line is to the right of the target this is great for wedges and stuff and you can see here ball position normal maybe a fraction forward with the weight forward so that when we put the miracle swing on it the down swing will start that ball where you want the ball to start and that’ll that’ll put the that’ll put the draw spin on it we can play a draw shot I think it’s good for you because um you know you you know how to come out mhm and also it gives you a lot of shoulder turn a lot of hip turn all that really good I mean you hit the bow a mile I can’t thank Steve enough what a amazing golf lesson and and Steve knows the thing or two about the game of golf what a treat thank you and by the way uh secret for those of you who followed us for years on secret golf or even before that secret in the dir Christo was our first ever producer of our Sizzle reel 201 2010 that’s how far we go back that’s awesome but this is the first time we’ve played together and I hope it’s not the last it won’t be for sure good morning miracle swingers I am so excited cuz I just got back from Houston Texas where I got to hang out with my main man Steve elkington Steve won the 1997 PGA Championship here at Riviera Country Club he’s the two-time Players champion and my gosh what a career Steve’s had and he totally gets the miracle swing on the Miracle swing the miracle swing Miracle swing the miracle swing right so I played around to golf with him at Champions which is a US Open golf course and Steve told me some things that I thought were really really helpful he said first of all I can’t tell what shot you’re going to hit when you set up to the ball you kind of set up to the ball haphazardly I don’t know if you’re hitting a draw fade straight ball not sure what you’re trying to do but you have to be committed to a shot when you so he worked on my stance with me decide on a shot he said I want you hitting a cut or I want you hitting that draw in there no in between wishy-washy stuff and then I want you to build that out of a square stance so it’s consistent and you can predict the curve on that ball so this just totally blew my mind so I’m going to share with you what Steve worked on me with the draw and fade setup and how he hits his own draws and Fades he’s got this amazing system that’s just like Ben Hogan’s so check out this video and don’t forget so let’s dig in hey guys I’m here at Champions golf club today I’m so excited I got to play a rounded golf with Steve elkington yesterday he gave me some Dynamite tips about my setup he told me my action’s great he loves the miracle swing and he just wanted to help me dial in my setup to make sure I can hit a fade on command and a draw on command a matter you could but watch this would be this would be the the high one right this one you won’t have that’s correct I don’t have that that’ be the D1 the high one so you were telling me yesterday that you can hit it it’s like you’re a more than capable highball hitter yeah but I I used to I build a little model of you know I call a D1 D2 draw One Way draw two ways one was high one was low and then I had a fade One Way fade other way which was also low and high mhm chances of me having something going out of those four when I went to the golf was pretty good but the whole thing is built on the grid on how you set up to these shots and what what are we trying to do with our body to pull off these shots I taught you um your new fade one which would be at that green FL or let’s say the red flag mm and if I was going to show you the F F1 your F1 Falls forward so that when I come out I’m on the this side of the Ark so it’s going to start left but I’m going to use an angle hinge on it so I’m at the red flag there I aim right at it or forward Miracle swing right in out angle hinge I’ll just H A Punch cuz I’m not loose but I’ll be like oh money that be the miracle swing right is the miracle swing man right this is my f one my fade yep now let me show you my my D1 which is my draw it’s nice with these new balls and the good grass yeah oh yeah it’s so fcking nice going to come out do you feel like that gives you the freedom to think shot shape versus mechanics so like H you just hit one fade and one draw tight like three to five yards or whatever tight solid it’s so what I’m working on is getting my setup correct for a draw and a cut by angling my feet shoulders body and release there’s a lot of little pieces to it but the most important part as we start with the feet slightly open for a cut slightly closed with a draw and Steve wanted the ball farther forward in my stance for me to hit my reliable cut off the tea that was key I saw Krystal talking about the over-the-top swing at about the same time I was looking at Old swings of Bobby Jones and and Sam S and both take it way inside and loop it over Bob what’s your lowest round of golf so far shot of 69 all right I’m chriso Garcia and you probably caught me on
