hello everybody I am Chantel and welcome to today’s video we are at Lakewood disc golf course which is Chris and I’s home course and we got new Teas last year so we are really excited to bring you along and show you all the new stuff that we have here at our little home course wait everybody hold on a second Chris and I are leaving in one week that means we have to sell all of our discs before we leave because when we’re gone the site closes we have a bunch of these beautiful discs on my site waiting for a new home they are 20% off and if you buy buy three you get free shipping so go to miss fris.nc.gov wow that M2 is So Divine wow that was so good thanks two huge putts coming up I think that hole was a really nice change instead of a small Hiser you have a tricky line that you need to stay really straight because we have OB left Obi long and a little Hill that makes your putt tricky if you’re over there that’s the hill yeah hole two is a par three 240 ft this one’s pretty tricky when everything’s grown in we have a pretty tight Gap off the tea once they have some of those leaves grown in it is so hard to hit that Gap there is another line that you can go for the high Spike Heiser sidearm but I do not have that kind of distance so I’m just going to go right up the middle right and left OB long OB you just want to stay right in the middle of the Fairway it’s trickier than it looks that I’m too slowly becoming my favorite mid-range oh whoa baby that’s a PT headwind got you didn’t it yeah it did there you go I think I’m going to keep throwing that disc hole three is a par three 215 ft I exact same no new teapad straight at the basket I think that’s great Chris aced this hole with the M4 the first time he threw it so he’s going to try and do it again for you come on oh it’s too beat in now I love that flight though Chris has a little tricky putt he found basically the only thing that you should stay away from so sad another perk job whole four is a par three 350 ft this is one of the new long teas and it is a very challenging hole it’s a turnover or a sidearm and usually it is marked OB right and left and the tree that is right in front of the basket kind of guards it from above so you really have to get a low line there or go around that tree to get a good look at a putt I’m going to try out this air D1 Spectrum plastic I don’t know how stable it’s going to be but we have a little bit of a head headwind so I’m going to see how it handles that WI get in there W okay that was really [Applause] beautiful oh that’s great oh see that tree that’s the tree you got to miss it just catches the good shots and now you have a super long putt so this is one of the only courses in the area so getting new teas is so awesome because it was a very beginning inner friendly Park style disc golf course and now it adds a little bit extra challenge it challenges the people who have that distance and I think it’s just so great that we finally got some new te’s because we desperately needed them do it too low good line well we suck on this [Applause] hole this is a very fun hole though like in the summer it’s really fun to throw we don’t have too many turnovers on this course whole five is a par three 330 ft another longer teapad and we have a gap to hit not too bad but you have to push something really straight with a little bit of Fade to get to the basket that is surrounded by those trees get in there oh oh behind the tree but that is still a putt that’s a putt that’s a putt oh just little Yankee there oops wow keep going down Chris this isn’t even a competition good job you got a par whole six a par 3 265 ft another longer hole you can see the short T is right there short T is perfect straight shot this is kind of like a tricky flip up higher to straight and that stuff over there catches a lot of disc and it’s hard to find especially in the summer so don’t go over there oh why are you so high I made I made it past everything though what did you get through that tree I did oh my [Applause] gosh hole 7 is a par three 370 ft this is probably one of the hardest holes on the course now we have a low ceiling OB right trouble on the left lots of trees to contend with so you just have to throw like a booming shot straight and low and hope that you get all the way up there okay nice shot that’s going to be long putt but I would take that probably every time oh yeah nice I’ll take that I’ve been working on a new little putt keep working on it this is the run you birdied it you birdied this whole was that your first time biring it the first time ever wow I was actually thinking of something to say after I putt and I was going to say nobody gets this hole this hole’s hard well you did it I’m so proud of you that was such a good birdie I don’t think many people birdie that very often so Chris is basically the best person whole eight doesn’t change I think the plan is to move the basket a little bit further back but as of right now there’s no changes I have to Ace this hole before they move the basket right here skip a okay I’m just going to ace it to make Chantel feel bad get a do you feel bad now no Chris talking smack now he has a long putt that’s what happens whole nine is a par three 265 ft same as before we got this beautiful shot with the two pretty trees straight as can be little Hill where the basket is oh big skip okay you can work with that yeah that was a little too [Applause] low G just gor just [Applause] shot o off the top voice little sweet spot why want to tap me in yeah full T par 3 285 ft same hole straight with some [Music] fade wowe skinning them trees is that behind the tree it might be a little behind the tree nice yay is that our first hole that we finally got two birdies on I think so hole 11 is a part three 245 ft does not change it is the same we got these two trees and you’re throwing it straight down the gap or you can be a little wimp and go around the outside with a big spike Heiser I’m going to throw around the outside I feel like we don’t get to throw the shot a lot it’s [Applause] fun oh that’s so good maybe I should do that all the time Chris will show you the traditional straight line with an ace NOP that no Ace he turned that baby over I turned her oh so close good run I always make fun of people for doing this line but it just this it’s so easy it works out that maybe it’s the smart way to do it full 12 is a par for 635 ft this is one of the new teap pads and a big nice long par 4 we needed more of these on the course and we got it as you can see whole 17 is right there so I think the thought is to be throwing right of these trees and obviously the path is Obie so you want to stay on the right side of the Fairway nice good shot that’s getting close to that line wow I’m okay with that that was a really good shot [Applause] thanks Big skip okay that wasn’t a big skip but I hit that middle so I’m proud of myself oh on the hill that’s good that was so wean I didn’t even see that Chris has a the tricky straddle put oh did it sit so bad when the heck have you ever done that Redo for my heing I don’t remember last time you jump huded like that it’s getting worse oh I was so scared let me do it [Applause] again okay definitely need more practice on that hole hole 13 is a par 3 220 ft this is a a shorter new pad We have basically just a straight little bit of turn or a sidearm and I think that this should be played that the right is Obie I think that’s just the way it should be oh I take back everything I said it’s not Obie over there noce that was flipping full 14 of heart 3 250 ft we got a new short pad here it’s basically just a little Hiser you got to get in between those two trees or you can go around the the little left with a sidearm what the drop nice oh and he just beat the tree just in front of it oh thought that was was popping out run it in whole 15 is a par four 400 ft I think the par is very soft on this one but it’s a new short pad it’s made for beginners so that they can have a long hole that’s also a par for and it’s just basically wide open you got a couple trees you got a ditch in the middle this one is very eable and we have Chris here who wants to be able to reach this hole every single time by the end of the summer so who thinks he can reach it today oh jeez that’s a lot of pressure I know I can’t but I’m going to try my best wow I totally missed that filming so I have to redo it all right Chris what are you throwing today to get all the way to this pin I’m going to be trying this air D1 yep and it has Mis frisbee stamp so I’m at least going an extra 10 ft so oh come on come on oh it’s coming back oh no it hit the tree and rolled backwards oh my gosh that was actually really good that’s a putt all right yeah let’s go see where it’s at cuz that’s my starting point for the year and hopefully by the end of the year I can actually get this hole every time I think you only need 10 more feet and you’re good another stamp so you need another stamp I’m learning a new upshot right now so if it goes wrong don’t make fun of me I’m going to go high around this stre hey it work that’s a pretty good upshot this tree this is the tree I hit so who planted this tree I would have been like a little inside the circle so that’s workable you know what Chris this is a great start Chris is going to be going OB long on this hole at the end of summer for sure yeah that’s a plan Eagle putt oh did you slip come on oh it wasn’t meant to be wow good birdie yeah oh hitting them with a turbo look how smooth that was I practice every day full 16 is a par three 305 ft same old teapad pretty straight go right or left of the tree easy miss [Music] it huh I pictured that differently in my head there you go that a putt that’s a putt oh what a putt wow that was way off nice what the heck we never birdie this hole Yeah hole 17 Par 3 250 no change here dead straight OB over the ditch to the right and a couple trees low ceiling you got it I just put this in the bag let’s see how it flies we got a slight headwind here we don’t want it to go over that OB so see how stable it is oh yeah that was nice that was pretty good yeah that was ideal that disc is working today it it is it has a nice turn in the headwind this was shorter than I expected but we’re going to can it should I oh a turbo do you think I could reach this far yep oh no I swear I’ve been practicing okay let me I’m distracted I distracted redo what the heck is those so bad I think it was the wind it got under it and pushed it yeah that’s it okay one more time okay that that was better was better better that was better hole 18 of par 3 290 ft the last hole and also the last new pad we have a shorter pad than the original and it is another pretty straight Shop but you have a hill that plays way more into your shot than you even think and I often find that my discs heer out quite a lot and then there’s OB to the right and also a tree above the basket there’s just so many little things that you you can’t even tell but it all plays into to your shot oh nice that was that was okay y yep oh no where’d it go what what the heck was that the heck oh that one was better that was a little better oh oh god oh that one was so much better good one okay this definitely was an ace R you’re like behind the basket no well yeah maybe actually I think it was oh can he Turbo [Laughter] nice job we’ll count it as a birdie okay so those were the new teads at Lakewood disco of course I’m loving the new variety we have some new shots that we can practice let us know in the comments which new tea is your favorite I think my favorite is holu thank you all so much for watching and we will see you in the next one bye

  1. Thanks for posting this, I'm super happy to see some feedback on the new tee pads. Also, game is looking great, good luck on tour this year!

  2. Love the videos. Can't wait to see you on tour. Your progress over the last couple of years has been fun to follow online. Also, has @ProdigyDiscs not sent you an Apex bag yet?

  3. Thanks for doing this. Lakewood is an awesome course and this adds so much variety. The kinds place where you can birdie a 370 foot hole and follow it up with a 125 for par. Wait until the trees fill in come spring.

  4. Just discovered your channel! I thought your name looked familiar, and discovered you were the winner of the very first tournament my daughter played in last year in Kalamazoo, where you bested the 2015 pro masters world champ by a couple of strokes. So you have a special place in our family Disc Golf history! My "first pro" winner was Al Schack, not a surprise at all, back in the '90s (who beat the guy depicted on the PDGA logo by a stroke or two), and my son's was local TV meteorologist Will Haenni.

Since I love this kind of stuff as an avowed Frisbeetarian, I'm looking up who your "first pro" is…Colleen McInnes.

Cheers from the Kalamazoo area; we're rooting for you!

  5. I was trying to figure out who Chris' backhand reminds me of and I just realized it's actually Eagle. Now just keep working on that arm speed.
