he actually pulled it off an enormous Underdog was able to take that o away from the champion he was so hyped that he was even facing off with the turnbuckle show Bing at the end of the fight knowing that he won the fight Ryan poon Garcia showing off that left hook over and over again against The Undefeated Champion Devin Haney defeating him by a majority decision and Ryan Garcia was not only fighting against Devon Haney he was also fighting against the ref because what was that the ref almost screwed Ryan Garcia over in that seventh round he only counted one knock down when there should have been two at least and he let Devon Haney hang on for dear life without taking a point from Haney but he took a point from Garcia for punching Haney because Haney’s holding on to him and the ref can’t pry him off he hurt Haney badly and was chasing a finish which he could have gotten but the ref messed him up by taking too long to continue the fight and not getting Haney off of him which helped Haney recover how do you take a point away from Garcia in that situation and not also Devon Haney and that wasn’t even the only time Devon Haney was excessively holding on to Ryan Garcia multiple times throughout the fight and never once did he get a point taken away and not only that when Devon Haney stood up from the first knockdown in that seventh round the ref took his time to continue the fight you see it right here he counts to eight he’s supposed to grab on to Haney’s gloves make sure he’s okay he looks back at Garcia tells him to get away Garcia’s not even moving and he took 4 seconds to shake Devon Haney’s gloves Garcia’s trying to get this fight going the ref goes and pushes him away is he like friends with Haney he related to him or something and there would be weird times where he’s pushing Garcia away after the clinching up very strangely like Ryan Garcia is up against the ropes and the ref is still pushing him into the ropes allowing Devon Haney to move that ref should not be allowed in another Garcia fight very dumb stuff the ref potentially helped Haney survive the seventh round and this could have been a knockout rather than a decision now we talk about those knockdowns in the seventh round now one of them for sure was was counted a clean left hook from Ryan Garcia putting together the combination I’m going to be talking about right after this it’s the same combination he caught Deon Haney with multiple times throughout this fight and hurt him every time he landed so the second time Devon Haney Falls so Haney’s backed up to the ropes and he’s trying to land a big left hook and over swings it as Garcia Ducks it looks like he may try to land with the left hand it’s hard to really tell from here but the angle of his arm shows that he would not be able to land his punch on the head but was looking to land the right overhand as Devon Haney is losing balance from the left hook that he threw and Garcia lands his right hand on the shoulder Devon Han is stumbling forward as he’s grabbing onto Garcia and he falls to his knees this is quite different than the third time even from the way that he falls is very different right in this sequence he kind of just falls to his knees but in the third time it’s much different this was not a knockdown Ryan Garcia did not hit him with really anything here and it does look like Devon Haney Falls without getting hit but the third time was 100% a knockdown as there was a right hand from ryanard Garcia that lands on Devon Haney right before he grabs onto Garcia falling to the ground this right hook Garcia pinpoints the shot precisely bam right there lands behind the ear of Devon Haney glances off of it good shot from Ryan Garcia Haney is grabbing onto the single leg and falls to the ground when Garcia moves backwards because Devin hen’s on wobbly legs from the punch but this did not get counted it should have been two knockdowns in that seventh round for Ryan Garcia but overall Garcia’s speed Advantage was very apparent I mean he was Landing one twos from a distance and Devon Haney was not able to react to them well at all in fact the jab that starts off with the combination wasn’t even seen from Devon Haney we can look at this example right here jab to the face Haney’s hands and head did not move anywhere did not see the jab whatsoever and then the right straight through the guard before Devon Haney was able to block then we look at this sequence in the 10th round Ryan Garcia tricks Devon Haney a little bit before he throws the one two he opens up his hands and makes it look like he’s going to collide them together as boxers do this sometimes right they hit their gloves together before they engage their opponent but Garcia as he was about to touch his gloves together he throws out the jab from distance and again lands on Devon Haney without Haney even reacting to it at all that’s an incredibly fast jab full extension good form only thing really missing in this is him picking up his right hand as he’s throwing it just to defensively counteract any potential punch from Devon Haney but he was so confident this will land again he didn’t really need it and then again throws down the right straight through the center of the Guard perfect precision as deon’s moving back into the corner and he drops his hands leaving an open Target for the left hook of Ryan Garcia and this turns into another very precise left hook that goes through the center of the Guard dropping Devon Haney you see another example of Garcia speed throws out the jab but this time Deon Haney reacts to it moves his head away but doesn’t see the right hand coming behind it at all he tries to move his feet away from Ryan Garcia but lowers his hands and gets caught clean to the chin and leads into a trade where Devon Haney clinches up with Garcia and looks to exchange punches both all the right hand at each other and Ryan Garcia moves his head with the punch just so it doesn’t connect clean he grazes with his own and fires off the left hook over the open right side of Devon Haney connecting clean to the jaw dropping him yet again this is a much shorter left hook but incredibly fast now we talk about the left hook and Ryan Garcia’s left hook by itself was quite difficult to land on Devon Haney is because there is a big startup to it the telegraph when Garcia swings his arm back is noticeable even though the punch itself is swung fast he was onto it put up that Right Guard as Garcia threw the left hook without anything setting it up as you can see right here but there was a bit of a difference in the first round where he countered Devon Haney and rocked him with it because they both traded punches with each other de was thr the jab and he brought his right hand back a little too far away to defend himself creating that small opening for Ryan Garcia to land his left hook at the same time so Garcia needed something to hide his left hook and what punch did I talk about Haney having a hard time seeing the jab he would double up on his left hand throw the jab first then sometimes on the half beat would swing the left hook behind it so it be jab left hook in a very quick sequence where the jab is merely meant to set up that left hook because Devon Haney would separate his right hand from his face in order to Parry that jab which is going to open that window on the side for Ryan Garcia’s left hook to come through this happened so many times throughout this fight and almost every single time Devon Haney would open up his right guard for the most powerful and confident punch that Ryan Garcia is known for now at the end of it all of course Ryan Garcia missed weight and it’s the biggest blunder from his approach to the fight you got to make weight no matter who you are it’s very unprofessional and it does give you a sort of Advantage if you are three lb overweight that much is very true and maybe some people point out the back of the head shots whenever they clinched up from Ryan Garcia but some of those back of the head shots were as Devon Haney was moving Garcia is originally targeting to punch around the guard of Haney but Haney’s moving his head forward right he’s walking forward which is going to cause the angle of that punch to hit the back of his head now were saw moments throughout the fight that did look like a blatant back of the head shot but there were other times where Devon Haney caused that to happen during the clinch and Garcia’s throwing his right hand Devon Haney is not moving anywhere this time staying in place and the punch hits the back of his head but at the end of the day a great performance by Ryan Garcia he was an enormous Underdog going into it and he pulled off the impossible and shout out to Devon Haney took the law very well at least from what I know of I haven’t checked up any interviews but after the fight Deon Haney wasn’t talking about a robbery he wasn’t talking about how he should have won or any of that sort of stuff the referee was on his side in this fight and still there was no way he should have won at the very least in the worst case scenario it would be a draw but Ryan Garcia absolutely won this fight so hope you guys enjoy the breakdown if you did make sure to give this a thumbs up if enjoy my content make sure to subscribe hit the bell for 1. The Haneys have been huddled up with Floyd Mayweather for YEARS. You had to know his money was gonna find its way to the key players!
He probably invested about 100 mill and then went and bet a Billie😂.

  2. Refs are paid by vegas to keep them from losing. Garcia was a big underdog. The ref tried.. but Vegas lost a lot!

  3. That 3 pounds did not give Ryan an advantage. It’s not like they weighed in right before walking to the ring. Devin was every bit as big as Ryan. Ryan just wasn’t gonna drain himself and harm his body trying to make 140.

  4. Garcia jabbed Haneys back hand to force him to threw a jab and then throw the hook soon as Haney shoots the jab cause he tends to drop that back hand when he throws it and it worked all night, including the first one he landed 20 seconds into the fight.

    That's just excellent game planning.

  5. One shot that Garcia took on break was reflex Devin did sumtin cause ryan like winced and jus gave a decent lil shot like hey wtf was that

  6. You forgot the part people were complaining about. Like how Ryan would turn his back to Haney and that would stop the fight to where it resets. Which I’m kinda not mad at like yeah it’s kinda fucked but man the ref was totally against Ryan so if it’s in the rules and the refs against you also then who cares

  7. Harvey Dock was on Haney's payroll or something. I haven't seen a ref that biased since Mayweather/McGregor.

  8. Haney and spence was throwingng the same body shots at there opponents when they lost seems fixed and fishy

  9. For your information knock downs in boxing and the 10 count is a 10 count not a 10 second count, how fast it’s counted is all left to the referee to decide.

  10. If u read manga. Hajime No Ippo. Volg vs champ. Around chapter 700 if I remember correctly. That has happened refs being paid off

  11. Yup that's what happens when you got them in the ring and they wanna win so bad they will cheat for one another. It's sickening but my boy Ryan destroyed them
