the pens can be attacked Kim CH Who start of the day in second finds herself still at that Mark a 68 for underpar yesterday she is off and underway that is paky Youngy young who started quietly on Friday the two under round yesterday she goes five under so far today however it’s on the quieter side of the spectrum she comes that close to an eagle she finds a third birdie however with that simple tapin putt to move within two and but for birdie for hungu mean a patented Sunday fist bump and two birdies consecutively now bogey free through 10 and also just a couple of Strokes back the gallery swells increases in numbers an hour later starting to feel the field on her heels and she over hits about a 5 foot butt relinquish is the opportunity she goes out with the 35 the only birdie coming on hole number two after just seeing Aang Miss Jang she can get up into the double digits here the break is right to left and no challenge thrown her way she slip that inside and has backto back birdies at the turn out with a 33 and the distance between she and the top is just one stroke with nine to play so the soothing sound of the rain and the conditions in this Championship Sunday to pin High really well gauged and well struck in the center face of that wedge for for she has been striking the ball with much more consistency these last 27 holes or so and finding that perfect balance of accuracy and power less than 100 met away as she looks to go all the way through and get to the back but she doesn’t have the distance in flight to prevent that backspin from taking her closer to the front Bim Chi bounce back time on a hole that she bogied in round number two plays a faded drive into the Fairway nice okay mean so now the Amer player who is coming off of a tied for 28th fin on the dream tour already a few wonderful results in the 2024 season including a time for eighth finish at the Tucson ENC weave championship just a bit too long AJ young our leader sends that rolling past the pit and you have to wonder if he’s starting to feel a bit of this pressure spe 7.7 that is how many meters remain for baky youngyang needs it to drift back but that gradual and consistent break takes their best and 10 proves to be of a mystifying hole for the featured group this is how it looked and how close it came also a really good representation of just how uphill in fact that part truly was at the end every belongs to p young and now a co-leader with three birdies on the bounce playing this par 51th absolutely brilliantly and the door was left open for her and she bursts through it as she seeks out another win this season suddenly the pressure ratchets up to a new level for EJ young who is sharing the leads but will relinquish it if she doesn’t have a third straight par on hole number 10 anything but straightforward lots of break to the putts and enough that it complicates and plants more than one seed of do EJ young has missed she will drop the stroke worlds she’s been climbing she’s all but assured her third straight Podium and the event she has contested on the LPG tour of Korea and she might be on for her second win in a month I young to hang on season and next week we will head to suan for the 2024 NH investment and securities ladies Championship another three round Affair it’s starting to seem likely that’s bu young will be heading into that tournament as a two-time champ in 20124 it would be the ninth win of her career she’s putting from The Fringe and working that to about 5T short well she was a three-time winner in 2023 two-time runner up as well she would be well on her way to matching or surpassing that career best the win here today and speaking of career best for Kim me soul and the brilliant golf she has played she will likely be on the podium it would be the first podium in her senior career and it would improve upon her tied for fourth finish and last year’s Korea Women’s Open golf championship need J un came into the week the aspirations of the wind of course but she’s on her way for a second Podium of 2024 [Music] she’s quietly gone about about her business CH s it was her 71 yesterday that really took her out of the favorites conversation heading into today the conversation that paryang gang is in just about every week this birdie take her into a share of third position and she goes 270 degrees around change with Kim me cell in the next few moments here all but ass sure at least join runner up but the birdie breaks right ready do conclude just yet she marks off [Music] and for hungy mean 66 in the opening round and she looked like she was going to be forced to be reckoned with this weekend an even par day yesterday of a 72 and this we 67 but also struggling to get the job done on 18 so she’ll tap in to finish 10 under for the competition it is currently tied for third a bogey free round today just had those three yesterday that ultimately might be the difference for her and keep me Sol a career back second place she is ass sure to spot on the podium for the first time and that one UPS her performance at last year’s career Women’s Open golf championship she was excellent today excellent all week long and it goes without saying but can officially declare her as the low amiter in the competition this week for B Jing off on 17 and she’s had a few messy shots in these last handful of holes she is certainly in a position now to even pick up a Boi in one of the final few the lead looks untouchable j s it is birdie to end the day of a 72 under par she was the runner-up CH song last week at the Chris fnc 46 kpga Championship their best result of the season but what this means is with that score it’ll be her fourth top 10 and that is a little bit of magic perfectly onto The Fringe as our fature group makes their way down to the green you see more rounds concluded and four players in the top eight still waiting to finalize their classification here at the kyun 1991 ladies open as Pang and Company cross the bridge we will step aside and come back with more the puts on 17 and our leader has a little bit of an interesting situation that we will investigate when we return for for for for for so not as poor a lie as originally feared for PJ young as she is that maybe a yard or two beneath the green she’s going to be able to get up and down with no difficulty whatsoever for her par one to play to make it official Kim J on number 18 find her second and working closer to the end of her round for and bakang gang next from the corner judge that putt well we look to head to 18 with the par 18 where we find you meina 212 with her seconds [Music] and now EJ young for Birdie the lone wolf in the group to do so that is her first birdie since the second toll of the day and it comes at the second to last and moves her into a share of second w down to one to play another case seemingly of what could have been type of situation take that thing away from more strong play to be ready to in the thick of the action on Sunday a little bit short of the Approach at 18 fore spe spee spe for first tan is away and now Kim CH he about half a kilometer away settles on this approach from the left side of the Fairway wanting to go and stay close to the front and I’d say that is a resounding mission accomplished for [Music] saving one of her bests for last technically second to last as she’ll have a tap in Birdie on a really nice up and can bear witness to J Young’s final drive of the day a whole she birdied yesterday just about fully complete all 54 holes kim chi she can move into a share of fifth with paky youngyang unless there is a birdie for the lad AJ young she can take the outright second position from Kim mean Soul the Amer with a birdie the last as well Puck young as long as she doesn’t double bogey which she’s guaranteed at least the playoff but certainly think we know the result that is just around the corner will be a Monumental occasion for our dominant leader g j also trying to get into the top five with a birdie after a nice approach to clear Chun s at 8 under par when we come back the final shots of the 10th kocha 1991 her to even par under par excuse me for the day she’s even right now and she does shoot a 71 her best of the Season by some margin tied for 42nd had been her Mark before from the Tucsan andc wee championship and a tied for 50th finish last week at the major and more than just the best finish of the season for IM Jin young the best result since she finished tyed for six of the T mbn ladies open in August of 2022 young is away and the setup shots will be the next we see spe spe h it’s 92 M out for EJ young From the Rough unfortunately for her she was off left and she’s short left after the approach as well 83 for pacy Youngy in the Fairway have a really good opportunity to go pin seeking here perfect live for it perfect pin placement as well [Music] and that is mission accomplished now she needs that putt to go to double digits underpar last approach shot of the day and Pak young will go just about pin high and we’ll have a chance for one more birdie she has three putts to win it and the gallery as is one of the best traditions on the kpga tour will walk the featured group to the 18th green as their arrivals are announced [Music] p for for spe want CJ young to join her colleagues on the green a little pitch and roll and should have minimal difficulty with that putt for par this is far from her first time in a position to close out a tournament certainly not this year she has been marvelous all week long she’s been marvelous all season long it feels like pangy just about so no dramatic final birdie to end it nine holes nine pars on the back nine she went out combined tournament score paku young shoots a 69 to share eighth position and seven underpar same scor is uni now who is back on the podium again and back in the winner circle bu oh e for oh [Music] [Music] d for oh there [Music] oh for for for for well the final preparations for the award ceremony are being made as we speak so let’s use this opportunity to go through the championship Sunday highlights it was a what rainy day from the jump after two days of nothing but sun and warm temps keep mean Soul the low Amer of this competition started well and continued to find birdies left and right on the way to one of the best scores of the entire day pman G the same with a 67 coach also at that marker but of course as we well know the day belonged to Buck J Young Who on hole at number eight was able to pick up her second birdie closing the Gap to two towards the top of the field and really showed no signs of slowing down hungy mean in this final round she went bogey free she tried to make a big push after failing to do anything more than even par in round number two she had a second birdie just before the turn going out with a 34 onto the back nine back puj young excuse me who has already been able to amass backto back birdies would pick up where she left off on hole number 10 at that point she took a shair of the lead and she would absolutely refuse to relinquish it and this is the ultimate turning point of the day EJ young who had a birdie at number two all par since but then this on 10 a 5- foot putt that she is unable to solve anticipating more break than the negligible amount that would come she would burn past the Inside Edge of the hole and bogey giving the lead to pakji Young and from there the lead would be padded for Kim mean Soul on the par three 13th she nearly had an Ace and in retrospect had she had the ace she would have been the runner up all by herself in the end it would be the simplest of tapin for birdie to taker at that point to 10 underpar on 11 another absolutely stunning approach from buak Young who would then step up and knock down a fourth birdie in a row to 12 under par she would go it was a two stroke advantage over AJ young at that point and then more on the par 3 13th not as dramatic a t- shot as king soul but on the green on the front to 4 m to the pins left and she would record what would be her sixth and final birdie of the day she’d be able to waltz in with five straight pars on 16 one final birdie for Kim me soul right to left long range putts on the par four one of her best of the day and that’s saying something considering how many she had a 67 in the final round and onwards to the penultimate hole the final par three EJ young is able to skip it through the cut of Ruff between the water and the green would roll in birdie number two her which would ensure that she was able to share the runnerup position and then the formalities on 18 Bucky Youngy young who had not birdi since hole number nine trying to get to that 10 under score and she was just about able to match the 206 Strokes of hung you mean but it would be nine straight pars on the way into a nine under tournament finish tied for fifth with Keem chhe EJ young she was able to make that runnerup share official and Pak young well she had three putts to win it she would need two as she TAPS in to win for a second time in the month and a third straight Podium no one on tour in better form than pck young who wins for a ninth time on the LPGA Tour of Korea and the win in the end Two Strokes over k mean soul and EJ young golf Zone County sun sun has been nothing but a marvelous host with panoramic views and this one of our favorites the water features looked a lot more appealing on Friday and Saturday it must be said just one
