Street skateboarders from around the world are descending on the picturesque Dubai Habour to compete in the World Skateboarding Tour’s Dubai street 2024 event from 3 to 10 March. The World Skateboarding Tour (WST) forms a key part of the ‘Road to Paris’ for park and street skateboarders looking to compete at the Olympic Games and WST Dubai Street 2024 stop will mark a critical stage on that journey.

The OQS is a two-part competition series taking place in Shanghai (16-19 May) and Budapest (20-23 June) and will be the settings to determine the final fields for Paris 2024.

  1. The Quality of the stream is so bad the frames are slow you can only see the tricks in the slow mo, step it up please

  2. Not showing the slowmo of shirai's cab sugarcane shows that these editors have NO CLUE about what skateboarding is. We watch these competitions to see nice runs/tricks, we don't care much about the ranking.

  3. judges are the worst, people dont know the amount of power needed to a front 180 kick flip over the transition, absolutely insane

  4. Why did they put Aurélien as the thumbnail?? Not only was he not in the finals, but he wasn't even in the event. Am I missing something?

  5. I'm still waiting for the day I see a nollie tre back noseblunt down a rail and a sw tre front crook fakie flip on a hubba… Just to name two

  6. Rumor has it this announcer named MATT used to be Pro for Zero. i think he even 360 flipped wallenberg.

  7. I said it once and ill say it again. Skateboarding will NEVER be a mainstream sport that is recognized by the world as one of the Olympic sports. Its nothing more than an glorified skateboarding contest in a random park, having nothing to do with the Olympics other than the Logo that is displayed on there. It has absolutely no audience besides the small niche that are skaters themselves or their families. This is absolutely no different than X=Games, Street league or Dew tour. Nothing Skateboarding will ever do that will get them recognized by the Main viewers of the Olympics.

  8. I feel, the Olympics have found another Gold mine, besides teh actual Olympics with Skateboarding.. I wonder how much they making, putting this skateboarding tour, up ? Do the athletes get paid besides just getting a spots, besides by their nation..

  9. I wonder how much the cities pay the Olympics to host these Skateboard events.. I know they the Olympics making money from this.. Usually they only show other games, when it is close the Olympic year.. This must be a money maker, by how much they showing it and also who is hosting it.. These places they hosting are big name nations..

  10. I think it’s actually insane that little Cenxi Cui as stated by the commentators “has no sponsors and is supported by her parents”.

    C’mon.

China has a billion people and this little girl is basically carrying the whole of China for the Olympics skateboarding event . She has an interesting bag of tricks, kickflip into grinds, kickflip grabs on transition etc and skates very fast.

There’s a whole cream of the crop of new Japanese talent, Yumeka and Momiji have tonnes of sponsors and at least AM by big sponsors like red bull in the case of Yumeka.

Coco, Liz, nanaka, Miyu etc are all flow and I think Liz may have some bigger sponsors like flip or I think Nanaka may even be pro for meow skateboards and maybe a board shop.

No way that Cenxi can’t get some support considering she’s one skater repping a big country and performing so well for her age.

I really hope after her showing in this contest a company steps up and she goes flow for a board sponsor, shoes and maybe an energy drink or something.

The kid is doing really well, just needs to up her consistency and add a couple more big tricks to her repertoire for single trick section and she can make podium or win easily.

  11. Whose bright idea was it to have it in Dubai? No one can afford to enter and no one is going to be in the stands watching

  12. Hello I’m a kid skateboarding who is this I said hello Olympic skateboarding yes I am not a kid who skateboards anymore anyhow please put women and men separate yeah and street and skate separate thank you park park in the street separate and women and men separate yeah it’s annoying having to fast forward I’ll do it but I only want to see the men

  13. Skateboarding skateboarding men’s street that is the only Olympic sport thank you NBC I don’t know anymore thank you whoever puts these things on my YouTube

  14. Hello the Olympics I saw theThe footage you guys have already done it yeah thank you so much I just was overloaded with a lot of state videos so I wanted to watch all of them yeah and I’ve never met you I used to skateboard and I like to skate barefoot and pump in a big bowl that I could have all to myself as I tried to find a home at an Arizona skate park I am retired now and I think I used to like to skate vert yeah so that’s why I can’t really watch them skate yeah because I kind of miss it and now I’m gonna cry it’s OK thank you

  15. Enjoyed the commentary, knowledgeable, not over hyping everything but not under hyping either.

  16. 2:13:30 Skateboarding doesn't make any sense, in the semi-final Rayssa got above 85 with a much simpler run than the one in the final and increases the difficulty with 3 flip maneuvers, including a blunt flip and the score gets lower? 84? This doesn't make any sense, especially compared to Matsumoto's run which had 1 point less than hers, with 2 50-50, bs feeble, fs lipslide? How Rayssa only gets 84 with an absurd run like that. It is clear that the judges did not judge her in the same way as the others, perhaps they were expecting more from her and this was reflected in the final grade, which is not fair, this clearly caused upset and let her down for the rest of the competition, she deserved a grade of around 86/87, that wasn't fair.
2:32:50 And how does this score above 90? Landing like that, not even she believed this totally overscored note

  17. i see the next olimpic podium full only japanese skaters they are pushing the game into the next level much love from mexico
