if I said to you I’m going to charge you £200 Sterling for 12 golf balls and it’s going to help you add distance to your t-shots how much yardage would you ask for that is the question that is the question we’re get and we’re going to answer that in today’s video because I am going to be reviewing the atomx golf ball which claims to be the longest golf ball on the planet way longer than some of its leading competitors within the golf market up to 20 M as well which by the way is massive in terms of distance off the team it will make a Monumental difference to your game now this atax golf ball is £4 Sterling for a dozen which is an awful lot of money I’ve got to say the casing that it comes in beautiful and as it should be for a 200 box of golf balls you can definitely get the high quality very nice coloring as well you’ve got the hard you’ve got medium again that comes in an orange and a blue and you’ve got the soft ball the soft ball is for the slower swing speed anything kind of below around 70 mph is pretty good for this golf ball allegedly we’re going to test that later this is a little bit more mid-range and this this one will go from kind of 86 M hour up to to 105 mph and then this bad boy here these take over from the rest this is what I’m going to be starting with in today’s video I’m going to be seeing if the recommended ball for me goes further than what I would normally expect now to give you a little bit of a baseline on my numbers cuz my numbers have changed a little bit in the last 12 months I’ve struggled with a couple of injuries so my ball speed has definitely dropped um over the past 6 to 9 months struggling with tendonitis in both hips now I’m a little bit more kind of towards a 162 163 speed uh I’m slower I’m working my way back I’m getting back I’m getting stronger so that gives you a relative Baseline based on that ball speed I would probably expect to carry the ball around about 270 or so roll out obviously depends on situation but I think if I’m carrying the ball 270 you’re open to get the ball finishing around about the 2 85 to 295 marker like I said this time last year I was comfortably Landing the ball at 285 and finishing over 300 but hey that’s age for you isn’t it that’s the beauty of getting old and injured now then before we get onto the golf course a little bit about this golf ball and why it allegedly goes so far now atomx claim to have developed the world’s first high density golf or using amorphous metal alloy now I I’d be honest with you I’ve never heard of amorphous metal alloy I had to Google it to find out what the hell it’s all about and I did so and the amorphous metal alloy sits just underneath the cover now the the cover is designed to give you high trajectory velocity so power height distance it’s gone from cover to the second layer which is the amorphous metal alloy and then underneath that you’ve got the High elasticity core so again distance distance distance speed speed speed this golf ball wants to hit the go want you to hit it 20 M further okay and you’re paying good money for that privilege as well so let’s get into this video I’m going to go let’s go to the golf course the amazing burnam and Barrow Golf Course here on the Southeast coast of the UK it’s a lyx it’s a beautiful golf course one of the top 50 or 100 in the UK it is Sensational I’m starting with the hard ball which is the ball I would kind of expect to be using based on my swing speed I want to see fast all right I’m expecting fast come on do not disappoint me I mean I could disappoint myself with the golf swing but come on first attempt atoma see if it sounds different see if the flight’s different oh sounded different felt different they’re quite a straight ball 162 286 carry spin rate was low as well 17 on the spin sounds it sounds so so pingy not sure if it sounds too pingy to be honest oh that was ripped 111 ball speed well Club speed that was better 166 ball speed 284 carry 1 1975 spin 284 carry is decent happy enough with that let’s give it three more gos it’s quite exciting you know when using a golf ball that you definitely can’t afford right three more go so we got swing speeds at 110 111 for me a standard Golf Course swing speed I would say is about 110 I haven’t got much more in the tank be honest with you getting old folks I’m getting old 112 speed you know be honest with you though I may have lost that golf ball which is expensive come on oh that was a toe ball that’ll be interesting actually very very toey 162 two w the spin 12200 spin that’s hilarious right come on one more I I do like this I kind of like the sound of thing I’m starting to get used to it the ball fight definitely seems higher that was a good shot same again 111 ball speed so 148 smash fact 1.48 smash fact so I’ve hit it well right I want your interaction as much as possible on this video so comment below what did you think of the golf ball that is most suited to me in terms of swing speed it’s just a guideline from atomac so it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gospel it’s perfect it’s guaranteed I might be I might be better one of the other golf balls we will see as this video unwinds itself but what did you make of this were you surprised the numbers are higher than what I would have expected only just if I’m being perfectly Hest a couple of miles an hour off the ball speed the carry distances yeah was probably about 10 y longer than I was expecting I get I kind of got myself back to that 285 yard carry which I said I kind of had this time last year so that’s a positive the spin rate surprised me massively it was like super low so so much lower than I thought I was expecting and this is why I mentioned I’m intrigued about the medium because it might just give me that little bit of extra spin which might keep the ball up in the air longer which might carry a little bit further that was my thought process rightly or wrongly we’re going to find out very very soon but it was really nice to kind of get that first ball out of the way get the no the noise the ball f it did definitely look different it has gone a little it’s gone further and it’s gone faster off the face let’s check out what’s next right I’m going to move to the medium ball now because their recommendation for this ball is Club head speeds from 86 mph to 105 now I’m at 109 110 so I’m not I’m not massively past it trajectory is going to be mid to high so trajectory I’m expecting to drop a little bit more I’m thinking potentially will I create a tiny bit more Spin and will that be a positive let’s have a look that feels like it’s just gone miles granted it’s gone miles right so we’re not going to talk too much about that b Club head speed was was the same B speed is obviously down 162 26 carry right let’s hit a good one with this come on Best Shot I’ve hit today that was pure if I could bottle that shot shot 167 ball speed my fastest so far granted it was the best hit shot I’ve hit since 2012 so that makes a big difference but that was pure that was pure good club head speed 112 Club head speed oh that was nice that ball flight for me on that ball definitely see for me it looked Nic it didn’t look quite as high which is interesting and it did produce the f this ball speed so far and the longest carry at nearly 290 I’ve done it again I think I found my ball folks this is the one it’s the medium 290 carry 165 ball speed spin rate you’ll be shocked 674 so although I’m just outside of the kind of recommended parameters for this golf ball I I’ve hit it further than the recommended that was beautiful really really nice wow right now we’re on the soft this is for the uh the slower slower swing speeds out there it’s actually the matte finish ball as well so it’s quite weird feeling can never really get over that mat feel it’s it’s not doesn’t feel right let’s see how the numbers play around now with this type of golf ball not suited for me but let’s see what we produce oh ripped it folks I’ve absolutely ped it 152 efficiency God it loves me oh 168 ball speed 290 carry it just seems that I am no longer hard enough good enough for the hard ball I’m down there at the softer one for the soft and the mediums wower right let’s go let’s launch into this one oh my God it’s gone so straight this should be called the straightest golf ball on the planet forget trying to sell it is the longest it’s the straightest 168 ball speed again efficiency smash back to 1.51 right if I was to buy these balls I probably start at the medium then I go to the soft then I go to the hard so the recommendations are always great I as I said before I’m just ever so slightly outside of their recommendation for medium but I actually think it suits me a little bit better and my god did I hit that ball straight right let’s dissect these numbers and get back to the office right I feel like none of us were expecting those outcomes and trust me once when I was stood on that T I was not expecting it either the medium performed sensationally well the soft some of the shots off the soft were unbelievable the distance the ball speed was phenomenal and you’re probably thinking well why would you buy the medium over the soft the ball flly was seemed more consistent the spin rates were more consistent although this maxed out better but I did also hit my my best ever shot since 2012 on this soft Ball but the medium one for me worked better the spin rates were more consistent they were better they were the the ball speed was faster the carry was longer so really really enjoyed hitting the medium ball if you’re playing burnam and Barrow Golf Course over the next couple of weeks you’re going to find a couple of those balls down the roof as well cuz the couple of ones I did flare off to the sides and there’s no golf ball on the planet that’s going to bring it back into play for you but it was a super super straight golf ball now I think take a little bit of I’m gonna take a bit of credit for that obviously but it did feel like a very straight ball as well and just to finish off the video I wanted just to pop over and do a couple of little pictures and the very first one was the best one I hit as well because it landed quite a long way short of the flag and rolled past it now if you are getting a golf ball that is delivering you massive distance you cannot expect it to stop around the greens like that quick so it’s a bit of game adaption isn’t it when you’re in and around the green You’re Expecting lots more roll it’s like at the moment if you use another ball that’s a lot softer when you’re in and around the green You’re Expecting check and spin and you’re trying to figure out how much it checks and how much it spins to where you land it so it’s no difference with this ball as well you know it’s just not really going to check that much it could land softly depending on its trajectory but it will roll out so one good thing about it is you know what you’re going to get with it that’s key it’s a very expensive ball it did what it said it’s going to do it’s going to deliver more yardage it did do can I afford 200 quid a dozen cuz I would literally be scared to be hitting this thing off the tea but it was a joy to test guys leave your comments below let me know what you think of the golf ball I
