[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] heyy hey hey [Applause] what is going on Washington fans did you miss me as y’all know I was in Virginia over the last few days literally just got back a few hours ago so I got an energy drink though I’m good I’ve been up since 3:00 a uh traveling around but I’m back in Texas guys and we’re going to talk about this draft class we have going uh and in my opinion it was a phenomenal draft class and I’m just going to give my thoughts on it uh but a few quick notes like I said obviously we’re live tonight going over the draft class and then Tuesday night I will go live and talk about the undrafted free agency signings people love those that was my biggest video last year I don’t know why but it got a lot of views and it went off um and I actually have a lot of thoughts about some of these signings and I think think a a good bit of those guys are making teams and I’ll tell y’all why so come back Tuesday night for that they dropped the full list um tomorrow seems like a lot of teams already did that and uh Washington was said they’re going to do it tomorrow so looking at the chat we’ve already got a bunch of people here in the comments um let’s see what we got my boy Rio says Ray Hil let’s go we got the new hashtag I like it better than the httc um definitely like it AEL says love the draft class KB says let’s go when does Rookie Mini camp start uh I’m have to check I know it’s like soon it’s not that far maybe like a week or two um let’s see a boogie says hashtag raay hail uh Bradley says grade A minus I like it we got some uh yes Tracy got my guy if y’all know me if y’all been following me for a while shout out to my boy Ben can’t wait to talk about him what’s going on boss life n n d member of the channel hit that subscribe button hit the like button and then become a member of the channel for some exclusive stuff I’m going to start doing some individual breakdowns on every player we drafted I got all 22s for every single player that we drafted also some maybe some undrafted free agents if y’all want it I’ll put out some member videos um then I’m gonna start doing some breakdown videos like on the defense and stuff like that got a lot of good things cooking up I got some people coming on with me to talk about these prospects though and break down some film um let’s jump right into it man uh I I said you know I was nervous about this draft class I didn’t know what to expect but looking back on it right now this is such an Adam Peters draft class like it just has his stamp on it and I love that they’re releasing all these videos like showing the phone calls and stuff like that just talking to the prospects you know with him and Dan Quinn um and even some of the other coaches just talking to the players like there’s something that he said like you had that Commander tag talking with certain players like the way you play how violent you are on defense talk about like uh Jordan McGee like how violent you are bring that violence here in Washington um they said javante John Baptist they said you had that Washington Commander tag so we have an identity coming up Adam Peters knew exactly what he wanted he knew what he was looking for he was very limited on what he wanted he was very selective on who he wanted of course I’m to talk about the offensive tackles talk about the o line um but also just give my thoughts on these picks and of course as always blow up the chats um Doug says yo Josh has been a minute how you been doing I didn’t go live or anything while I was in Virginia I was just pushing out graphics and stuff like that on social media my screen time is was up 60% last week that just tells you um how busy it was during the draft um Rio said you better get sent it on the show it’s already cooking don’t worry you know I got y’all uh what’s going on Big E y’all been waiting I know y’all been waiting I’m sorry but we’ll jump right into it so this is PFF um and everyone’s like oh you can’t judge everything by P PFF I’m not I’m gonna give my own individual thoughts but I like seeing outside people’s perspective on the players and the grades and how they really see things like I said I’m gonna give youall my stamp as well um uh Cornell Yates this is a good question he said any leaks yet about what number Jaden’s going to be I kind of tweeted it out it sounds like Jaden’s going to get five can’t it hasn’t like come out or anything but I can’t really tell y’all um who I heard that from but it was a very reliable person um that knows a certain somebody that has the number um but anyways uh blow up the chat like I said if you’all have any questions or anything like that we will go right through it but PFF says Washington gets a grade A so let’s go through these real quick pick number two obviously our franchise quarterback Jaden Daniels out of LSU the surprise pick happened kind of early that was defensive tackle Jan Johnny Newton out of Illinois at pick 36 a lot of people hate this I love it I love it I’m G tell you um Corner Mike sand still out or or Mikey s still I thought it was Mike he goes by Mikey so I’m gonna call him Mikey Little Mikey s still out of Michigan feisty Corner um this guy had a huge stamp of approval from the best coach of all time we’ll talk about that and then the goat Ben Senate and I’ve heard people say Ben sinat I’m 95% sure it is Ben Senate like like the Senate um tight end out of Kansas State people calling him a fullback nah my boy is a weapon certified weapon and then in the third at pick 67 we go with Brandon Coleman who’s a very interesting offensive tackle got some uh insights on him a little bit too um from my boy Donovan who shot me over a message uh former College um offensive lineman uh won a lot of games won the MAC Championship um he watched some uh Brandon Coleman film I’m gonna have him on to talk about Brandon Coleman break down whether he’s a guard or a tackle and then Luke mcaffrey this is honestly probably the biggest sleeper pick out of all of them that can have like a big impact he’s either going to be like a decent like really like reliable wide receiver or this guy is going to just pop off and honestly I’m kind of leaning towards the pop off status um but he was at pick 100 the last pick of the third round um that little comp pick we got for Chase young shout out to chase for that one so Luke mcaffrey yes obviously Christian McCaffrey’s brother out of rice um and then in the fifth round we have at pick 139 Jordan McGee out of Temple a physical linebacker um who in my opinion is really good in coverage I’m excited about him there’s a couple things you can do with him and move him around but longterm wise I like it we’re gonna talk about it Dominique Hampton at pick 161 the long rangey safety this is a Dan Quinn safety out of Washington when you think about the safeties he’s had in the past it fits exactly what dominic Hampton uh does and and he’s let him roam around I think he’s got a role do I think he starts day one maybe not but I think he’s definitely going to have a role and then javante Jean Baptist The Edge out of Notre Dame who had a really good season last year didn’t really have too much going on before that but last year he finished strong had a top 30 visit with Washington he was definitely one to keep an eye on was a couple Edge guys but they get a really good value in the seventh round and then they signed some I this might be a hot take but I will say some big undrafted free agents like I said come back Tuesday night I I think it deserves to have a whole video for that because there’s a lot to unpack with those um of course our our uh our Bachelor our quarterback Sam Hartman will definitely be talked about on Tuesday night uh Rio said how is that week sauce backup QB who used to play here name still brought up by fans dude you would be surprised every time I go live on bleach report people bring up tayor Hani I had someone ask me uh when when I was in DC they like hey is Sam starting next year I’m like no he’s not actually I mean unless he’s starting in Seattle I don’t know um but dude it’s funny uh lvu wears Ford now move one I like lau and four but man it’d be so nice to have Newton get that four Jersey um but regardless it’s okay so let’s go through these obviously we’re gonna start with Jaden Daniels the franchise quarterback this is the pick that obviously a lot of people wanted um PFF had Dani has qb3 behind Drake may I think Jaden Daniels was QB two for majority of people like I would say 80% of the media had Jaden Daniels too some people even had him one over Caleb I didn’t I had Jaden Daniels right there at two um you know at the end of the day in the final mock um and they said uh but the new regime of Washington takes him two overall Daniels does make sense as a theoretical fit um and a cliff kingsburry spread to run offense that will allow Daniels to add on in the Run game and get the ball out of his hands to players in face and I like how Johan doson said at the little draft party Saturday he’s like that’s who I wanted um he’s like that that’s that’s who I was hoping for I think he’s GNA sling it he said it just feels different it feels like he was traded to another team it just seems like it’s a completely different team and with jayen Daniels man I it it it like actually hit me at that draft party on Thursday in DC like we call his name I’m like this guy this guy gives us hope and I just go back to last year like as a fan like how defeated I was I was like dude I I’m literally rooting for us to lose right now that is a terrible feeling no fan wants to feel that way no fan wants to lose but I knew it was necessary and and I knew that we had to get this franchise quarterback but you think about what Jay Daniels can do just the upside and you know I said the whole process you know Drake May has a has a ceiling to him there’s so much more to unpack there I think there’s still more to unpack with Jaden Daniels I like I know he was at college for a while that’s fine I love it he had the experience he got better every single year and the thing that he does so well compared to Caleb Williams and Drake May is his intermediate to deep ball accuracy his slot fade is almost perfect so you want to talk about you know obviously Terry on the outside a guy who is going to catch everything you throw at him it doesn’t have to be a perfect Ball but I think this is honestly the the best deep ball that Terry’s gonna get that he’s had his whole career so far Sam threw some some good ones but it was inconsistent I think Jaden Daniels is going to give a consistent deep ball threat and then obviously that opens up so you think about how you’re stretching the field you’re stretching the field you’re going behind the front seven you’re you’re you’re dropping things behind in the secondary it opens up that front seven where guys have to play back a little bit more when you’re not worried about throwing the Deep ball you’re like guys we can play up front and load the Box all day if Jaden runs we’re GNA stop him but his deep Ball’s so good it’s GNA put you know a lot of stress on the defense to spread out where you have to cover all three areas of the field that short that intermediate and that deep balls not only to him but Johan Dodson and obviously I’m going to talk about Luke mcaffrey and what I think you know we can move around there but I think with Johan doson I think he will play a lot outside I think he’ll play some slot as well I think Cliff is gonna move some things around and I I like how him and Luke mcaffrey both have this interchangeable can play slot can play outside like Jan’s kind of small but he can play outside no problem but you can also throw him in the slot and he’s going to you know piece apart some linebackers or some safeties in the box or whatever Jan can tear that up Jan’s going to have a big year like I’m waiting for the prop bets to come out for the over on Jan dodson’s production next year because I’m I’m hitting them all absolutely hitting them all so I I like how and of course you know we’ll talk about some other weapons you know tight end you know Austin Eckler at running back there’s a lot of different weapons that Jaden Daniels has but I just love the ability that he’s going to be able stretch the stretch the field with some beautiful deep balls he’s going to hit Terry where he needs to Jan’s going to be able to get some of those long balls as well and don’t sleep on Luke mcaffrey getting those deep balls as well man I’m telling y’all Luke mcaffrey got some juice to him I’mma talk a little bit more about him but I’m excited and people are gonna and Rio said this earlier he’s not RG3 he’s not Lamar Jackson he’s different just because he can run extremely well does not make him Michael V or Lamar Jackson Jaden Daniels is such a unique Prospect he he’s like his own he’s his own little thing like he he’s he’s his own guy he’s J Daniels he’s not Lamar he’s not RG3 now he might be close they might play similar but that doesn’t mean they have the same traits like I said his his deep ball accuracy in my opinion is really good I think RG3’s was pretty good coming out you think about like that Saints game where he was throwing some deep ones um but I’m telling y’all man I just I think Jen Daniels is a much more advanced passer than Lamar was when he came out and it’s not a shot at Lamar Lamar has done a phenomenal job of getting to that status of being a lethal thrower obviously as a you know MVP um but I think even better than like what RG3 was coming out I I think that he’s not talked about enough from a passing standpoint people like oh he’s gonna run he’s gonna run all over you he’s gonna he G he’s gonna sling that thing and Cliff kingsberry is able to just focus on that he’s able to focus Fus on just Jaden Daniels he had Kyler marray he had Caleb Williams he learned a lot of things from those two guys by the way things that he shouldn’t do things that he should do more of and they said look we’re gonna I think Dan Quinn’s the one that said this we’re gonna build like we’re gonna we’re gonna work towards their strengths not even just Jaden Daniels but all these players but we’re going to put them in a position to succeed like especially Jaden Daniels we want him to be himself so you should support Jaden Daniels if you still don’t I don’t know what to tell you um but guys I absolutely love this pick I this is the first time like I feel that it’s not going to hit me Tom at training camp and I might be at a mini camp next month by the way I’m planning on it uh a couple of practices at least for uh mini camp but this is honestly the most like like hope that I’ve had in a very long time honestly since the RG 3 days so I’m thankful that we were in a position to even get Jaden Daniels um and they said he was the guy all along he is the only quarterback in that whole Top Golf visit that got the extended one-on-one time with Adam Peters with Josh Harris that was like that had that that meeting that everyone said that he wanted he got it so no one knew what was going on throughout the entire process no one had any idea but Jaden Daniels was the only quarterback that got that extended one-on-one time Adam Peter said we’ve known for a while he was the guy they just did a phenomenal job of keeping it under WS um so that’s Jaden Daniels like I said absolutely love the pick um I think he’s gonna be electric I think he’s gonna hit the ground running um guys I’m so excited for Jaden man um they actually did come out with some stat props earlier today actually I was looking at it when I landed on the plane um offensive rookie of the year he is the third best odds at plus 650 they have his regular season passing yards at 3,250 that’s juicy I like that I think that’s a pretty favorable one um passing touchdowns 19 and a half I think that’s favorable too I’m hitting over on both of those honestly um because like I said we got them some weapons now uh now let talk about jzon Johnny Newton I said this was obviously outside of you know Jaden um and Ben this is honestly my favorite pick and I’m going to tell you why so it says this wasn’t a need for Washington as two of their best players Jan Allen and donon Payne play along then tior defensive line however this is a tremendous value selection at the top of the second round Newton is the 11th ranked player overall on the PFF big board and was extremely productive over his college career just three power five interior defensive linemen have recorded a hundred or more pressures over a two-year stretch since PFF began charting College in 2014 that was Newton his new teammate Jonathan Allen and Forest Buckner and if you pop on the tapes this guy is a game wrecker I cannot stress this enough I didn’t talk about this guy first off because one I didn’t think we would go D tackle but second I didn’t think this guy was getting past 20 I thought I thought 21 to my ammy was a luck then the Falcons pass over him for Rook for at Clemson and no shot at Rook but Rook is nowhere on the level of Jon Newton Jon Newton is a game changer as y’all know I covered pen state for two years I saw this man singlehandedly pick apart Penn State’s offensive line he was in the back field all game that was when I first got my like real taste of Jon D I’m like this guy’s a beast this guy plays defensive tackle the way it’s supposed to be played he stops the Run he has a switch that he can just turn on and off run stopping okay now I got to get to the quarterback he he has such a quick switch to where he’s like he understands the the the the Gap Integrity where he knows like all right I got to plug this hole it’s it’s a run or he’s like I need to get off this double team and I need to get to the quarterback and he did so better than anyone honestly he’s been the best defensive tackle I’ve seen in college football since Jonathan Allen um at Alabama this guy is I I can’t stress this enough he in my opinion he had you could make the argument that he was the best defensive player in the draft and a lot of people have said that since we took him they’re like holy smokes first of off how did he get there who let this happen and Adam talked about it and he said you know like people are going to say oh it’s not a um it’s not a need it was like uh you know people are GNA say oh why did we do it they said Adam was like I’m gonna be honest with you we had this guy graded way higher he said substantially higher than any other player on the board we had a like middle first round grade on this guy which you should have because he was that good he’s like we have no idea how he was still there we had to take him and he said there’s there’s going to be no problem playing all three of those guys at the same time first off Jonathan Allen is getting a little older he has what two years left on his contract I think he’ll be 31 when his contract’s up I think he’s a freeit in 2026 if I can remember correctly and then drawn Payne’s after him Jon Newton is only 21 he’s only 21 I think he turns 22 during training camp he’s so young uh Roger said Newton pay Allen on 34 Newton and starter rotation pay and Allen played too many reps per game and that’s another thing too is like you saw how we would rotate um you know guys in and help out Allen and pay with fresh legs and stuff like that first off you’re going to be able to do that but you will absolutely be able to see all three guys on the line at the same time couple different reases one dorren Armstrong can play inside and outside as well he can you know he has that flexibility kind of like um Darius Robinson out of Missouri that just got drafted kind of like him he can play inside or outside with jerson Newton he can play from three Tech to five tech so three Tech outside that guard five tech outside the tackle because of his size and his his um technique he can play outside the tackle don’t be surprised if you see a lineup of Newton um probably Payne Allen and then Armstrong and then you’ll have like a linebacker that blitzes on the outside you’ll have a safety that blitzes on the outside of Newton guys having this strong and we’ve said this before this isn’t the first time having that strong defensive line helps out your secondary so much quarterbacks are going to hate playing us and I know John Allen and draon Payne kind of you know been quiet last year these guys were defeated these guys had nothing these guys had no belief in the coach ing you know you have Jack Del Rio then he gets fired then Ron’s taking over the season’s over they knew this you’re going to see a Juiced and then they have a guy with Newton pushing them like hey I’m the Young Buck uh you got you vet guys are you’re gonna be able to keep up with me Newton has such a juice to his game he has such a high motor this is absolutely an Adam Peters guy there I mean I’m talking effort on every single Play It’s it’s not like a oh I’m going to hand fight this guard this Center oh oh he got rid of it this guy blocked four kicks last year four kicks that’s crazy blocked four kicks last year so on other plays when guys are like n I’m a little tired we were on the field for a long time they’re kicking a field goal I’m just going to do whatever this man is fighting The Trenches of Normandy to get to this ball and blocking field goals blocked four kicks last year guys so put it first off you’re gonna get that aspect of the game which is great but you’re gonna have a guy who is in Non-Stop motor every single play I cannot wait to show y’all this guy’s tape I cannot wait people are and I said this when we drafted him he is going to be a fan favorite because of how he plays you love you know John Allen in his prime you love that donon Payne in his prime Newton is going to be on that level he is gonna he’s going to get a ton of sacks he’s going to get a ton of pressures he’s gonna bring that energy on every single play he’s going to be celebrating after every play guys the the defense is going to be Juiced up behind this guy if I I I understand it people wanted a tackle like what’s going on Josh why didn’t we get a tackle on the board why’ we take a d tackle because one Adam Peter is building for the future and secondly this guy was too good to pass up and um the 49ers said this I think it was yesterday in their press conference talking about it how they were at pick 31 they said you know after that run of tackles they you know wanted a tackle as well but just how the board fell there at 31 for them they didn’t like the tackles that were there they just thought the value wasn’t good enough would you rather get a tackle at you know 36 that might that might not pan out that’s like a 5050 guy or would you get a guy in Jon Newton like once again he’s 21 but he had the most production out of any defensive player in all of college football the last two years I’m not talking about just D tackle I’m talking about Edge I’m talking corner I’m talking safety I’m talking linebacker you have a proven production guy this the hit rate on this guy is Sky High or would rather have a a tackle that you reach for because the board was falling that might not even be starter quality once again I’m trusting Adam Peters he built for the future this guy is going to be the the Cornerstone of that defensive line when John Allen’s contract is up when donon Payne’s gonna have to get another contract or go somewhere else this guy’s gonna be already he’s going to be like what 23 he’s still going to be so young when Jonathan Allen’s contract is up that is insane this was the perfect pick at the time when I saw this guy on the board I thought he was going to the Falcons when they didn’t take him I literally looked over and I was talking I was watching my stepdad and my mom I was like they didn’t take Johnny nton I was are you kidding me and I was like we’re gonna take him we’re gonna get him like we are because he’s that good this guy should have been picked in the top 20 he he was a top 10 oh like in my opinion he was a top 10 player in the whole draft absolutely uh T go says exactly uh Newton Allen Payne Armstrong louu in the new slot corner and Ferell chin Fowler Wagner going nuts whoever produces stays on the team next year holy smokes guys this defense is gonna look a lot different Mikey Sandra still in the slot had like what five or six interceptions at Michigan last year oh my gosh that Lineback core Bobby Wagner Frankie lavu man Jordan McGee he can move around he can play a big safety if you have to because of his size holy smokes this defense is going to look completely different next year what’s going on Merl he says after try Lance Adam Peters will never give up a first round pick for a pler uh yeah he kind of learned his lesson on that one but honestly it just uh and then Mor said I thought for sure the Dolphins would take him at 21 after losing to Wilkins absolutely and I think they signed a couple guys in fre agency but no one on that level they go chop Robinson don’t blame him um because you know Phillips had the injury and then uh chub had a season ending injury as well so they had two big injuries on the edge so I don’t blame them going chop Robinson um chop Robinson’s worth a top 20 pick is he better than Jaylen Carter absolutely Jaylen Carter cannot stay on the field for three Downs especially throughout a whole season I mean a whole series Johnny Newton played a ton of snaps last year first off hold on let me look at PFF how many snaps this man played last year um let’s see Jer Zan I know was a lot like every every game and I didn’t watch a ton of Illinois ones uh games um but every time I did this is the guy that popped the most um like I mean just straight up dominating uh let’s see I’m trying to look up this is not easy on your phone trying to get the total snap CS it was a lot um let’s see last year so this is tells you this is snap alignment last year um so he played 749 defensive snaps the year before that was 723 defensive snaps that’s a lot he played 330 in the B Gap and then he played 388 over the tackle last year now he played 12 outside the tackle because I mean they didn’t really you might you you might as well play him in that b Gap to to over tackle like SE Gap spot because he’s your best player on your whole team um but he can play outside the tackle I’m telling you he can play that five tech but he played 330 over the B Gap he played 388 over the tackle last year and the year before that he played primarily over the tackle at 477 snaps over the tackle in 2022 he has a pass rush win rate of 15.4% his run defensive grade super high at 77.1 Passat rushing grade was 84 and his Run Stop rate is really high at 7.4% that’s like in the upper um percentile that’s really good so you’re getting a guy that’s stopping the run on the way to the quarterback just like you are supposed to this dude is a beast 62 295 so he might not be the tallest guy but he uses that to his Advantage it helps with his flexibility it helps him get up under pads it helps with his Pad levels um it helps with his block shredding ability he uses his size to his Advantage he’s not some crazy tall lengthy guy 62 295 he’s a stocky dude he is a great he’s a great hand fighter guys I I could literally talk about him for the rest of the stream he is so good I’m not mad at all about this pick um who can you compare Newton to oh man that’s tough um I’m trying like the only short I don’t even call him short he’s 6’2 like Aaron Donald was he wasn’t that big though like Aaron Donald wasn’t like 300 pounds but Aaron Donald was like an undersized dle I’m not going to compare to Aaron Donald um shoot who’s that other guy I think he’s on the Bucks is it Kobe Turner no it’s one of these different I I’ll let you know on my J on Newton video I’ll look into it to see who I can really compare him to but he I honestly I don’t really feel comfortable comparing him to anybody because he’s just himself he’s a beast I like I said I honestly haven’t seen a defensive tackle that disruptive in a two-year span like they said since Jonathan Allen and y’all know I’m a huge Alabama fan Jonathan Allen was literally doing the Superman like flying over the defensive line to sack quarterback Deron Newton is on that level and he blocked four kicks last year once again that’s crazy blocking kicks um let’s see what else we got here in the chat Hurley says I’m 48 and this was the best draft for us that I can remember this honestly and once again we don’t know it’s going to look like so we can talk about how athletic they are we can talk about how great the value is and stuff we don’t know how how much these players are going to hit but from a standpoint of value and athleticism but also production also every single one of these guys was team captains these are just high value and high like level players it’s not just like a oh this guy could be something he really hasn’t shown much in his college experience but we’re going to kind of Bank on that they’re like no this the sky is limit for this guy he was already amazing in college um Red Wings 01 says this was smart the Eagles drafted Jordan Davis and Jaylen Carter in the first round when they still had Fletcher Cox and Javon hardgrave and once again Jaylen Carter and Jordan Davis cannot stay on the field for you know three Downs in a series they can’t do it they’re rotating in um now we might do that with Jon n to start out but it’s not because he can’t do it because this guy literally played like every snap on defense the guy’s motor is insane for for a guy his size it blows my mind um Jaden Jackson we had the worst defense last season and now we have a top 15 potentially definitely agree uh Tyron Williams say we still need a big cornerback don’t disagree with you um like I said I’ll uh I’m going to do an individual breakdown all the players but I’m also going to do like a defense video and I’m talk about an offense video kind of break that down um but uh yeah Mathis I don’t know and and I I’ll tell you two with the draft picks and with the the undrafted free agents we signed you can tell more so with undrafted free agents you’re G to see a lot of these guys weaved out and I’m going to bring up the depth chart at the end of the stream and kind of show youall a little bit give you a little teaser for the next video but you can tell first off you know the players that we had here they weren’t Adam Peters guys do they have the commander tag probably not some of them sure um so talk about Newton matthys Ridgeway I think they’ll I think they’ll like Ridgeway I think matthysse is the one where you’re like first of off he can’t stay healthy maybe it’s just not really working out um um but you can definitely tell that they’re kind of you know they they had the free ageny they they signed some like starters they they lay the foundation now they’re starting to get down in that second layer of dirt say like H this backup we don’t really like him this guy we drafted is definitely gonna take this guy spot um so absolutely love um Jon dudon I think he’s gonna be a fan favorite once again um physically Newton and hard grave are nearly identical I could see that both of them are super disruptive um and they can get to the quarterback with no problem all right let’s go great characters and that’s another oh we we we drafted some High character dudes High character dudes like big time all right let’s get to the next one I don’t want to stay on here too long so like I said Mikey samr still the commanders continue to draft good football players s still um brings a fierce mentality to the team and provides uh positional versatility he he secured a career best six interceptions in 2023 second and one quarterbacks and is 90.3 PFF grade since 2022 ranked fourth among Big 10 quarterbacks which is super high just tells you how many good quarterbacks were in the Big 10 uh Sam still has great reaction speed and is fearless and run defense so the only thing that’s really hurting Sam still is his size and I don’t care because the guy does not play his size at all he plays much um and another thing too talking about once again athletically Washington drafted the highest relative Athletic score class of every team in the NFL so obviously Jaden Daniels um didn’t do enough testing to get a um a measurement same with J on Newton he was battling that injury and someone said in the comments he was battling an injury All Season really on that foot and he still was a production monster did not set him back at all um but kind of set him back being able to go to the combine stuff like that he couldn’t do anything um but even Mike samon with his size he had the lowest RIS at 8.45 which is still in the green um first off this guy got an endorsement from my head coach Nick San he said pound for pound Mikey Sam still is the best player in the draft that’s crazy he said he was this was the hardest guy to play against so if you remember remember that Alabama game playing Michigan in the Rose Bowl this year he said samur still is pound-for-pound the best player in the draft that is a huge endorsement huge endorsement from the goat Nick sa and if you watch the tape you watch the film it’s hard to disagree with them getting six interceptions as a slot Corner that’s crazy and once again you know I was watching this guy I’m gonna be honest I I don’t like Michigan I didn’t like Michigan at all this year Watching watching Michigan and watching samvi run over the field I was like God this guyy is so good it pisses me off now he’s on my team I like him um but watching him against Pinn State watching him against Ohio State like watching him in these big games I’m like this guy is so good it makes no sense Michigan’s defense was the best in the country he was the best player on the best defense in the country and it wasn’t close honestly I got I like will I think Will’s gonna be a top 10 pick next year they had some dudes in the secondary but you cannot tell me that Mikey samerson was not the best guy dude is a beast and Adam Peters said in the press conference afterwards um he’s gonna be the star guy he’s gonna he’s gonna play that star position if you’re an Alabama fan you’ve heard star so many times you’ve heard um the some defenses call it a different thing but he’s gonna be the slot guy he already said he’s in the slot so that gives you one little puzzle um for the defensive video that I’m gonna put out there there’s one spot filled Mikey sers still will be this the star guy he is the slot corner and that’s great that’s where he should be because he plays so feisty there that’s where he’s most comfortable that’s where he has his most production like I said six interceptions in 2023 from that spot I moving him could he play outside I mean why not like we said he plays much bigger than his size he’s like what 5’8 5’9 something like that um let me get his exact measurement I don’t want to lie um shout out to math Bomb by the way absolute goat uh let me see if I can spell his last name without looking boom got it um so he measured in at 591 85 range so yeah he’s going to be a slot guy um which is fine we needed that we needed someone that could just hold that spot down he’s not gonna be a buffalo nickel now he’s he’s going to be the slot guy buffalo nickel that’s like PTSD people hate hearing that word let’s just call it Big safety um yeah Redwing said he can play outside some but we already have Forbes Michael DAV outside St juice outside and don’t rule out Stefon Gilmore coming over here don’t rule that out um Mina Kim said we took her draft crushes with Newton and samr still the I’m telling you guys Newton and samr still were two of the best defensive players in the draft like they were just when it comes from a production standpoint and just talent wise they were two of the best um yeah we’re not going to talk about we’re going to retire the term buffalo nickel we’re just going to talk about we’re just going to say big safety whether it’s big dime Big Nickel we’re just we’re doing big not Buffalo switch from Buffalo to Big so your big safety Jeremy chin Hampton like I said maybe Jordan could play some big safety as well because of his size and his range um I’m not gonna give away too much I think I have an idea of what the starting lineup’s going to look like unless we you know changeed up like I said maybe Stefan Gilmore sign or something like that but we got a dog if there’s a dog in the draft it’s Mikey samur still he plays like a pitbull let off the leash for the first time like every play and it says that his fearlessness in the run defense when you look up his highlights even with the six interceptions some of his best plays are like a wide receiver will get a screen or a wide receiver will get a little slant and Mikey’s not even in it’s not even his guy he’s nowhere in the picture and he just comes running in the screen and just lays the dude out you’re like for his size he’s laying out running backs like that the Ohio State game uh I forgot which who was who it was at the running back maybe it was trivon Henderson big beefier dude called a little check down he turns Mikey’s right there just pow pops him at the line of scrimmage um we got a dog like we went to the sbca we we adopted the the nastiest dog in there and we let him off the leash and uh that’s Mikey still he’s going to be a fan favorite too you’re going to see a theme these guys are fan favorites these are guys who are going to bring a lot of energy and Fit I the identity that this team is going to have is going to look completely different completely different it it’s so refreshing this is going like you know how like when when Washington’s not playing and we watch other teams like man how come Washington doesn’t look like that how come Washington doesn’t look like the Ravens how come we don’t look like the 49ers we don’t look like the Texans this team’s going to look like an actual team I like I I don’t think that’s getting talked about enough we watched our team and it just seems like we’re playing a different sport last year like our defense like what are we doing what what what game are we playing compared to these other teams even with backups even with guys we’ve never heard of making crazy plays what what are we playing that’s so different than these guys like we are going to look so much different uh biggie says Josh we got out some blue chippers we got we got some blue chippers we got some blue colored blue chippers um could we possibly have the offensive Rookie of the Year in jd5 and Defensive Rookie of the Year in svi honestly I mean the Jen One’s Gonna Be Tough because Caleb Caleb’s got the star Factor but he’s also got Roman dun DJ Moore Kenan Allen like that’s crazy uh that’s the best wide receiver Court in the NFL it has to be um but Sam still and we said this with Forbes last year so we’re gonna kind of we’re g to kind of do it again if he can get those interceptions which I think once again I think forb is GNA have a much better year this year under the correct coaching under the different scheme you know with with Dan Quinn and with Coach uh coach Whit Jr I think you know if s still can get some interceptions I’m not ruling it out like he wasn’t like in the fifth round or something like that give still a high draft pick and he’s a well-known player too um I mean it’s going to be tough to compete against you know some of those Edge rushers that went early you know terion Arnold uh corner you know these other corners but there’s not like this flashy like a sauce Gardener kind of Corner in this draft too so anything’s possible um you just got to hope these Edge rushers like if latu plays to his ability he’s about to have like 10 to 12 sacks this year I love Leti lotu he’s such a good dude um Hurley says we are pulling a Texans and that’s that’s something that people were talking about like can Jaden Daniels and our offense can we make the jump that the Texans did and I’m not ruling it out I’m drinking the Kool-Aid um uh Josh besides JD which Jersey will you buy first uh so I did get a uh Jaden Daniels Jersey already and I bought another Jersey I couldn’t wait I bought this guy’s college jersey yall will know as soon as it comes in uh you should have a good idea who it is though but uh I think the only Washington Jersey that’s out right now is Jaden Daniels but man depending on the numbers if if Newton gets a fresh number I might have to get a Newton Jersey I’m telling you guys I love Newton same with Ben when I was talking to Ben at the Senior Bowl um I was like bro we got to give you zero and I’m so mad that he doesn’t have it but it would probably go to Mikey anyways but still I was like dude you and a zero would be dirty he’s like oh he’s like dude please he was like that’s a lot of pressure repping the zero I was like dude you can do it um said yeah I’m getting a JD and C Jersey um who do you think it’s phased out of that DB room so I’ll do like a deep deep dive into it because like I said these you I’ll tell you Tuesday I’ll tell you Tuesday um because I think some of these undrafted free agents are going to weave out a couple guys like I said I’ll show you the depth chart here at the end once I go these picks and uh give y’all some nuggets um no Mickey D’s all right let’s talk about my boy Ben Ben sent it after previously getting Great Value in the draft PFF Big Board the commanders pick the 105th ranked player in the second round Senate is an athletic tight end for Jay Daniels to develop with for the next decade I love that next decade stability like how it should be um Senate missed 14 oh I skipped the whole sentence he doesn’t do any one thing at an elite level but he can do everything well I like that I agree with that uh senat 14 Miss tackles forced in 2023 ranked third among tight ends he made 31 explosive plays over the last two seasons and this is a guy who won the fullback of the Year award because he was that good of a blocker um and Adam Peters said dude you remind me of George KD and Juice Che together you know first off that is huge to even say that you and Adam Peters doesn’t just talk out of his ass Adam Peters doesn’t like he wholeheartedly meant that he said dude he said I knew I had to get you Dan Quinn said dude I’ve been watching you the last two years I’ve I’ve wanted you for two years I’m like yo Dan Quint me too brother first time I remember seeing Ben Sate when he stole my heart is when Alabama played Kansas State in the bowl game two years ago was like the Capital One Bowl I forgot what bowl game it was but but Alabama had all of their starters playing on defense no one was out Brian Branch had the game of his life but Ben send it at with that 34 I was like who is this tight end catching these NFL routes I’m talking sideline catches two feet in you know get going vertical lined up as the wide lined up you know at that fullback spot giving great blocks I was like who is this white boy tearing up my Alabama Crimson Tide defense that was making me mad I was like bro somebody stop this guy I was like this is a guy I’m GNA watch next year because he’s not a fullback he is not a fullback can you use him as one yes this is the only tight end besides Brock Bowers that didn’t get bullied by a sled you know at the combine or at their pro day like this guy is like physically and you see the the hockey video where he’s knocking guys out he played hockey he has toughness you don’t have to doubt that you saw that on the clip where he’s knocking the dude out in my opinion he he’s been tight into two I remember I I went on a show with uh with Kayla and DT and them and I said I don’t like I don’t like JT Sanders I’m not a Sanders fan I wouldn’t even take him in the third like maybe fourth I said Ben Senate is tight end to he has always been tight end to and it’s not close I would have I would have had Theo Johnson over JT Sanders because Ben Sate has the the the play speed he has the the the measurement speed as well as he ranked crazy numbers um let’s take a look at his relative Athletic score Ben sate the only thing really hurting him was his size 63 and some change almost 64 to 50 don’t care he ran a 46840 phenomenal he had a 271 20 yard split love it 40in vertical and he had a 106 broad jump those are Elite numbers he ran a 423 shuttle Elite and a 6.82 three cone Elite and then you pop on the tape and you see it translates when he has the pads on he’s he he has the play speed and I tell people all the time play speed is what is important to you um I see a couple good comparisons I like AG said we might finally have our next Chris Coy yes and I like this one as well random shout out to the question mark you can put your name on this one because I like it he’s kind of like Sam leap Porter he kind of is speaking of Sam leap Porter there was a I was watching uh Jers on Newton play earlier by the way where where uh leapor caught a little shuffle pass and Newton just blew him up in the back field had to throw that in there too because you reminded me um leapor yep Uptown Dre says Sanders is slower and cannot block and he’s not a good enough route Runner um to like be dominant in in the NFL I don’t see it um Caleb said me and you did say send it on that podcast yeah like Ben Sate been the dude I’m I’m telling you I was like the one guy at the Senior Bowl everyone’s talking to the quarterbacks and I was like yo Ben my boy like you you’re him and uh he messaged me like 10 15 minutes after we drafted him because I told him the first thing I told him at the Senior Bowl I said Ben you are an Adam Peters guy you are his next KD in Juice I swear to God I told him that and he was like dude I could see it he’s like I would love that this is like right after you know we were just getting Dan Quinn I don’t think we had Dan Quinn yet I think this was the day before we we got damn Quinn I said dude you are an Adam Peters player he will he he is not going to let you go he’s gon to get you I promise you and he said he had great meetings with us he loved the interactions he’s like man I want that so bad I was like it’s gonna happen it’s gonna happen and you know we haven’t talked like the last few weeks or whatever but as soon as he got drafted he messaged me he said he’s like my dude you were right you called it he said I I wanted this so bad man and uh I I was excited that he was here man I I think Ben is going to be the and I’m not trying to jinx him or anything but you can just tell and they said it there like he’s not he might not be a lead at everything but I think give him a year or two this guy’s gonna be a problem I think I think he’ll play a lot next year first off and then he has Zack Herz ahead of him helping him get there helping him be just you know a more refined tight end which I think he is great right now I think he’s phenomenal right now but when you want to talk about you know making that leap and it’s hard for tight ends it’s just a Universal thing tight ends usually don’t produce their first year what Sam leapor did was phenomenal like unheard of it it usually takes a year maybe two to kind of really break out as a tight end when you get to the next level because it’s different but um man I I’m so excited for Ben I I did get a Ben Kansas State jersey got to I’m a I’m I’m a rocket the training camp uh but he’s definitely going to come on I’m just kind of waiting for him to settle in you know get everything going but he’s definitely going to come on the show um going to get him on here we might go live so y’all can talk to him as well um but I can’t wait love the pick all right let’s stop the uh the tight end Love Fest let’s let’s get to the the meat and that is Coleman The Tackle out of TCU now before I read their thing shout out to my guy uh Donovan white like I said I told him he’s going to come on here we’re watch some um Brandon Coleman tape we’re going to take a look at you know maybe is he going to be a guard or does he have a legit shot at tackle first off this is the most one of the one of the top athletic tackles in the whole draft the upside is there you can see it you can see that upside so this is what Donovan text me he said right after we draft him he’s like like I said Donovan played you know D1 offensive lineman M Champion said not to overreact but that’s that TCU kid can absolutely be our left tackle and I was like you like him I haven’t watched him but you know a lot of the offensive line gurus love him zerck allow all season in his 2022 tape when he played primarily left tackle was really good according to a lot of people and he said yeah man he could beat that guy for us longterm at left guard but I think they’ll actually give a roll with Alig gry there Coleman is a freak athlete and watching him from the waist down he moves like a tackle great footwork and lower body technique merer in all aspects of pass prote the length isn’t prototypical but honestly not a huge concern at all um reminds him of Jake Matthews I think that’s interesting I could definitely see that because of the size and how he plays reminds him of Jake ma Jake Matthews if yall remember Jake Matthews from years back he said Coleman is a little shorter and thicker than Ma and Matthew moves a little more like a tackle in some sense but Coleman has longer arms and is more aggressive than what Jake Matthews was still great feet I really like the pick so I was kind of like and like I said I I remember some of these offensive line Greers I can’t act like I knew Brandon Coleman he wasn’t on my list um when I started doing some deep diving into Coleman um I’m telling you guys the when it comes like the offensive gurus they Rave about this guy um PFF says the commanders finally land offensive lineman at the top of the third round selecting Coleman out of TCU 6’6 320 pounder struggled in 2023 but was far better in 2022 when he earned a 79.6 PFF grade he could wind up on the inside in the NFL but he has the experience on the outside so he can get a shot there first uh and Redwing said something that um I saw as well he was playing through injury in 2023 um excuse me I didn’t like to pick at first but it’s grown on me it’s definitely grown on me too and I want to say this about the offensive L because people are like freaking out still was Wasington tried they definitely tried to trade back up into the first round and get one of those top tackles and I told y’all this a lot first off I I told y’all I was predicting I it was the worst kept secret of the draft Washington was going to want to trade back up and get a tackle but I’ve said this many times it is hard to get trades done it’s hard to get trades done in the draft even with all of the trades that happen it has to be beneficial to both Sid sides um and it’s not easy just say oh so and so you know Dolphins at 21 that’s kind of what I projected Dolphins at 21 they’re going to want to trade for us so it would have had to take a first next year according to a lot of people it would have had to take a first next year and some more draft Capital this year so if you look at you know how we were able to trade you know with the Eagles and what that turned into and turned into two picks this year turned into you know Ben Senate um and what because we I forgot what picks we had but it it it turned into be a better deal for us did it help out the Eagles sure I don’t care what the Eagles do I don’t care about Cooper deene I don’t care I care about how it benefited us I I like how it you know helped us get more value it yes we dropped 10 back but we jumped up like 20 and some change and it helped us get the players that we got so if you look at it from that aspect we tried to trade up into the first but whoever we were trying to trade with they just they don’t care what we wanted to do they they wanted to get what they wanted to we don’t know who they tried going with but you know according to a lot of things I heard it was like that 20 to 24ish range um you know back half of the first round it just didn’t happen that’s okay but what I respect is that Adam Peters first off had the guts to just take the best players available to take jerson Newton because he was substantially in his words quote for quote he was substantially higher than any other player they had on the board when they went to pick at 36 he was substantially higher that that’s what you’re supposed to do you’re supposed to take good football players in the draft you’re not supposed to say all right who’s the next tackle that’s left let’s just take this guy maybe they didn’t like who was left maybe they didn’t think that guy fits what they want to do at the end of the day you take the impact player and you figure it out you figure out the rest that’s what you do um I forgot what team it was maybe it was the Rams it was someone hasn’t taken an offensive lineman like the last like four or five drafts or something crazy you just figure it out maybe it’s the Broncos I can’t remember uh was it the Rams or I don’t know I can’t remember what there was one team that didn’t take it linan for like the last four or five years and you’re like really like their offensive line is not even bad there’s guys like Jordan uh mayata like you you find guys in these later rounds we can sign a vet McKai beckton went to the Eagles okay there’s still some other routes we could go maybe it is going to be Wy at right tackle next year with better coaching and Cornelius Lucas SE that left tackle but I promise you guys and Adam Peters said it he said we like our offensive line before the draft y’all remember that he said we were fine rolling into the season with our offensive line and we’re like a this guy’s blown smoke well he backed up what he said but I think the the upside of Coleman is so intriguing I cannot wait to see that battle in Camp and everyone’s like oh it’s a mid off I don’t think so I want to see Cornelius Lucas get more responsibilities I want to see him get more of a role because when he had to come in last year for um for Charles Leno when he missed that game he played really dag on good now can he do that through the whole season that’s what I want to see and if not I mean he still got I said I’ll show you all the depth chart Braden Daniels last year mean it said it sounded like it wasn’t good for him last year but once again who knows with new coaching I’m not I’m not expecting the same players we saw last year that’s all I’m saying I’m like there is no reason every single player on this team should not be taking a step up compared to what we had last year because of coaching Alone um but maybe that is what’s going to happen maybe it is going to be aligia at left guard and you got some depth behind behind him maybe it is going to be Cornelius Lucas that left tackle maybe it’s going to be Coleman maybe Coleman’s the backup option at left tackle maybe he’s the backup option at left guard maybe he can start at left guard that’s going to be talked about on my offense video but at the end of the day you take the best player and you figure that [ __ ] out this is this is a professional sports team this is a professional football team if Adam Peters was freaking out about this I I promised y’all he wouldn’t just be like well we’ll let Jaden get killed you know we’ll see what happens first off Jaden’s playing style is GNA help out a lot um first off I I think he’s gonna get the ball out faster um than what we saw last year but then also we’re gonna we’re gonna see a coach that builds around his quarterback in the sense of I’m not gonna ask Jaden Daniels to throw it 50 times a game like we saw last year there was no sense of wanting to protect the quarterback last year from a coaching standpoint there was no sense of like Hey we’re gonna we’re gonna help Sam out by running the ball which we did not do last year and we’re gonna just tell him to throw it 50 times a game and we’re gonna watch him get killed in the process that is not like that’s not we’re not going to see that this year I think that’s what’s that’s the PTSD that is stuck in fans head and I get it because I watched those games too I watched Sam get drugged through the dirt all season long guys I I saw it but Cliff Kingsbury is not going to do that we have once again Austin Eckler is gonna be a great safety blanket first off his pass protections dag on good Ben cinate the best blocking tight end even better than Brock bars he won the award for the best blocking he was the highest graded blocking tight end in col football last year so you have him whether if he’s lined up in line you have him outside the tackle helping chip those guys helping your tackles out so you have a guy in Ben s it who can do that day one there is no need to learn blocking he has the play strength he has the toughness he has the grit to block on the outside so you’re helping out your tackle there you’re going to actually run the ball that’s two that’s two things already helping Jaden Daniels out three Jaden’s going to get rid bit faster four if things are breaking down Jaden Daniels can run run smartly get down go out of bounds but he can run so teams aren’t going to be able to just you know crash the outside and Jaden Daniels just going to run up the middle defensive linemen Edge rushers linebackers Corners will have to Blitz more responsibly than they did last year last year just like bro free run at Sam can he run sure can can he break some tackles sure is he on the level of Jaden Daniels absolutely not so you have that are they done at tackle who knows who knows but if this is what they go into the season with these other little moves that they’ve done have helped out to where it’s like okay we’re gonna we’re gonna figure this [ __ ] out like I said all those little points we’re going to run the ball Benson is going to block we actually did add some offensive lineman and if you want to talk about pressure last year the pressure last year was up the middle the the most pressure Sam how faced last year by a gigantic margin was from the center and the left guard last year I would say 75% of the sacks and pressure came from the left guard and Center Spot I’m not saying wy’s great and phenomenal but people act like he was the worst offensive lineman last year he wasn’t he had some really bad moments and so did Charles Leno once again I’m not going to defend either of those two guys because the offensive line in general was terrible but the two biggest spots that there was pressure last year got addressed with Nick Alig and Tyler botes two starters and we added depth behind that and then we got Coleman that if he absolutely has to he can start at left guard or left tackle so am I like you know stressfree about it maybe not no I’m not going to act like I’m not like o I would have Lov you know ol V but is it gonna keep me up at night do I think that we’re going to see the same irr responsibilities next year that we saw this past year no no so guys let’s just let’s wait and once again if things don’t look good in Camp if they don’t really like something if things aren’t clicking somewhere they’re they’re going to they’re going to take care of it they’re going to figure it out I’m not stressing it now let’s talk about our our token white boy Luke mcaffrey mcaffrey has NFL Bloodlines obviously and is a natural athlete who knows the nuances of Route running he lacks an explosive element to his game but has strong hands especially in contested cat situations where he’s phenomenal uh where his 32 receptions since 2022 are the most in college football a former quarterback maccaffrey has a good feel for finding open zones while the commanders already have weapons in the receiving room maccaffrey provides a different style and he’s wide receiver three and I think he is super underrated um I put up uh I was doing some digging because like I said that was the last pick of the third round so afterwards I like let g go look at some things with Luke mcaffrey and first off my first taste of Luke mcaffrey was at the Senior Bowl and he surprised the heck out of me you know I posted like two videos of him and it was like a crazy catch in the back of the end zone he call for Michael pinnick where he just goes up in back of the end zone catches it like great body control in the air phenomenal body control in the air um but then also just in his routes I was like holy smokes he he’s he’s so Advanced for a guy that’s only been playing it for two years his release package is ridiculous he understands even though he’s not like the crazy I’m not going to call him like a separator but he understands how to get open and he’s still working on that like he’s still refining that but even when he’s not open he’s open in the sense of he can get the ball better than you there was that one touchdown he had it was thrown right corner of the end zone the corner goes up the corner catches it first off and he just rips it out of his hands on the way to the ground he gets up and he’s like touchdown that was me like just ripped it out of his hands um and Caleb said it here uh he had the same number of contestant catches as Roman dunesday which is crazy wild same number people are oh it’s because you can’t separate one rice obviously uh who was their quarterback was it JT Daniels again quarterback play wasn’t the best but um and I don’t want to just compare him to pukaa but I kind of already did so I kind of can’t backtrack it but this is what I said I said Luke McCaffrey 6 foot2 198 pounds ran a 44640 yard dash tied Roma dunesday with most contested catches in the country with 22 scored 13 touchdowns in 2023 which is sixth among all wide receivers in the best wide receiver class of all time by the way ran a 4.02 short shuttle which is Elite I think only three people have done that in the last like 20 years and it was like I forgot who the other two were but I was like that’s huge like running being able to run a short shuttle that fast is crazy and he is insanely athletic because he played quarterback he played Safety he now playing wide receiver he can play anything like literally he’s just an athletic dude um kind of like Julian Edelman Julian Edelman you know played quarterback had a seamless transition to wide receiver um and the final thing I said was very auka likee and the thing that he reminds me of with Puka Puka AA by the way just crazy rookie year I’m not going to expect that out of Luke mcaffrey obviously uh because Luke hasn’t been playing wide receiver he’s more athletic than puka but when it comes to just the the thing that reminds me the most of you know the similarities is their body control when the ball is in the air how they react but then also how they use their body how they can box people out how they can just go up and get and high point it just the under that that aspect of understanding that at this point in a young career as a wide receiver is ridiculous to me I also posted that video that Rice posted where he’s doing like um you know a foot Fire release I’m like against like Max Melton against like kayn King I’m like bro you have no you should be just doing a single move and a double move at this point like you’re that you’re you’re that fresh at the position there’s no reason you should be doing a foot Fire release but then also foot Fire release getting the leverage having that jab step on the in in the inside when he already has the leverage that jab step in his break to where on the slant he’s like foot Fire release jab step he’s got the leverage he’s inside and he has the separation instantly I’m like holy smokes um he literally this is it he catches everything um literally catches everything uh Caleb says Luke and Senate will help Jaden over the middle of the field then you got Terry Jan the outside with Eckler as a checkdown and then B Rob showed you last year I’ve never seen this BR before this is like I said I watched his whole career at Alabama he was catching screens and checkdowns and taking them for big touchdowns I I didn’t know BR Rob had that in him but he showed that last year um big hands MC he does have big hands um I mean the the family Je are just ridiculous with his dad obviously with Christian mcaffrey the best running back in the league um he is going to be a like you want to talk about Terry being reliable Luke mcaffrey is g to be [Music] reliable he is going to be reli if there’s one word that’s going to describe Luke mcaffrey is reliable third and six you need something to cross the middle and traffic that g pretty tough catch and traffic where he knows he’s getting hit there’s that touchdown where he goes up and gets it the guy rips his helmet off and he just gets up like I don’t care you think I care touchdown he’s he’s gritty he’s athletic he might seem like that sweet nice guy like oh he’s gonna date my daughter you see them on the phone call like on the phone call you see him talking to the media in the zoom oh I’m so nice I’m I was I was raised just fine but when that boy is on the field he is gritty he is tough man yes I loved you know Troy Franklin I liked Brenan rice I liked Javon Baker but there’s a reason why you know those those guys fell something about their game just didn’t fit for all 32 teams until later on Troy Franklin Goes to the Broncos later goes back with bonck that’s great Javon Baker goes to the Patriots they needed it I like what the Patriots did with their wide receiver room got my boy Jaylen pulk love that brenon Rice almost goes undrafted goes to the Chargers love that fit form him stays out west I don’t think it’s like a oh people like oh he had to because mcaffrey like that’s only reason he took him because his name because he had Christian and the 49 no I think this guy is still raw but he’s already shown you like I said that production he he’s been productive already it’s not like oh this guy just made a change to wide receiver we’re going to figure it out like a dart on the wall I don’t think so once again I’m not saying he’s going to have a pukan nakua type you know season but I think when it comes down to it you know puka wasn’t the fastest 40 but like their gauntlets were great their Gauntlet drills were great their their um their short shuttles were great um when it comes down to it just being a ball player just being a receiver they play a lot of like and I think Christian mcca’s faster he’s a little bit more athletic than Puka Puka Puka is a beast man puka is a beast and once again I’m not going to Hype up Luke too much and sit here and say oh guys expect him to be puka but I’m just saying the way they use their body the way they play the wide receiver position reminds me a lot of each other I just I just I see the similarities I can see some Edelman once again I don’t I don’t Edelman was a little smaller I think um Luke 6’2 like 195 almost 200 pounds people like oh he’s like what he was in the slot so he’s like what 510 5’11 n this boy 6’2 he’s 6’2 he can play in the slot and he can play outside so that’s what I was saying earlier I like the things you can do with Johan and Luke that’s it’s kind of like kind of like with Curtis you could play him in the slot if you had to you can play him in the back field but you can play him out outside too but I think Cliff is going to cook some things up with Luke and Jan because you’re see a lot of like Crossing routes you’re going to see like a lot of confusion the defense like I don’t I don’t know like who’s who’s going the slot you’re going to see a lot of pre- snap motion you’re going to see things spread out I like this pick a lot all right Jordan McGee linebacker out of Temple a highle competitor with a Non-Stop motor Dan Quinn that is Dan Quinn’s dude uh mgee offers Some solid run and chase ability physicality in the box and upside as a Blitzer he posted a best 87.2 PFF grade in 2023 with an eye catching 90.7 pass rushing grade that ranked fourth among all linebackers at worst McGee will be an impact core special teamer but he has the competitive toughness and athletic traits become a starter I think in this is a guy that once again was a hot name the Cowboys really like Jordan McGee they they did a lot of homework on him a lot of teams did a lot of homework on him and I think yeah so Adam Peters on the phone call was like dude we were sweating this one out we didn’t think we were going to get you like we were stressing about getting you here and once again I didn’t know a lot about him but guys like him and Trevon Wallace were some guys that started to do some homework on later on they were both names that were buzzing a lot and then I went back and watched I went my little all 22 folder and I saw some Jordan McGee film I was like let me watch this a little bit the dude is violent he is violent and Dan Quinn said when they talked he said he said you play with violence and I want you to bring that here so Washington doesn’t pick up Jamon Davis’s fifth year option and he said you know it’s a chip for my shoulder whatever so he’s probably not he might not be in the future plans and that’s okay Jamon Davis has this year to show and prove himself if not we’ve got his replacement with Jordan McGee I think you get one year out of Bobby Wagner Frankie lavu is obviously you know still super young he’s going to be here for four four years five years plus like easily um then you got Pitman we signed you know depth behind him but you know I I knew they were going to go linebacker around this range I was kind of thinking Cedric gray um like I said Trevon Wallace was a guy that was on my list and I was like man this georan McGee guy does fit what they want out of a linebacker and once again you see a lot of two linebacker sets a lot of two linebacker sets in the NFL like you have you you’re not going to see a lot of three linebacker sets you need an extra DB on the field at all times whether it’s a corner or a safety you can’t afford to have a linebacker out there unless it’s like freaking you know bran Smith or like Fred war or Dre green law or something like that you can’t afford to have three linebackers on the field you gotta have two you gotta have have linebackers that can play with just one other linebacker on the field they can they can handle that responsibility and with McGee once again athletic freak fast let’s take a look at his R score ran a 45540 at 61 and in some change 230 pounds ran a 45540 a 2632 yard uh split that’s crazy ran a 416 shuttle and a 693 cone that is crazy that is moving for a linebacker like I said in today’s NFL there’s only two linebackers on the field most of the time you gotta be able to move and when I’m watching the tape the thing that he does really well that I like is he understands Gap Integrity when it’s a run play he understands the ability to close gaps but also get off of blocks and get to the running back he doesn’t like let the running back come to him he’s like I’m gonna get my way into the Gap I’m going to beat you to your spot um Jonathan Ward said this was Ken Norton’s guy yeah that that’s something they said on the phone too like kid Norton wanted you so bad like we are so hyped to have you here um and I think Ken or’s gonna do great things with him I think McGee gets a lot of playing time first off they said it impact special teamer absolutely that’s great you need those guys you need those blue chip guys but I think you’re going to see him I just I I don’t know if Bobby Wagner’s gonna first off like want to be like playing like 98 to 100% of snaps that’s a lot for him um but having the flexibility for a guy like McGee to come in on certain situations whether it is you know you’re going to see some some um disguises where it’s like oh we’re going to Blitz with them then he drops back into coverage like it’s going to be like third and long like McGee on they’re they’re blitzing and he’s like no we’re dropping in coverage and he drops back um you know you’re going to see some cover one you’re going to see some cover three you’re GNA see a lot of man coverage on the outside with corners and you’re going to see a lot of pressure up front and quarterbacks like I said are gonna hate playing us um and I think McGee will get some playing time on defense I can’t wait to watch his film some more and break it down on here for y’all um but the dude is violent he’s fast I like him a lot um a lot of people did a lot of people like if there’s a day like three linebacker that your team needs it’s Jordan McGee um let’s talk about Hampton I knew we were gonna get safety I didn’t know what kind of safety we were GNA get um but like I said you know go with Dominique Hampton out of Washington and I watch some Washington games this year obviously you know one of the best teams in the country this is a guy that did pop out on tape because he he flies all over the field he’s a hard hitter it says Hampton is a super siiz safety at 6’3 and 215 pounds and it comes with good athleticism he’s an interesting addition to Dan Quinn’s defense that prioritizes those kinds of hybrid athletes uh in the middle of the field Hampton was at his best in coverage around the line of scrimmage and he earned an 81st percentile coverage grade in the Box last season for the Huskies which like I said that’s what he loves take you think about Javon kerce um and those bigger safeties like they’re not playing like single high you know out on an island they’re up front where they’re going to disrupt um so you think about Quan and like I said I’m not going to give away everything from my defensive video you think about how Quan was used last year like upfront I don’t think Quan’s gonna be used like that this year but I think guys like Jeremy chin will and then I think because chin only got a one-year deal so you have Dom Hampton behind him that could could be you know his replacement if things don’t work out or if he gets hurt Hampton can come in and play that same like box safety role where they are going to just create Havoc up front chin was gonna you know great in coverage Hampton’s great in coverage as well can stop the run can stop those like outside annoying like sideline throws whether it’s screens these quick ones they can disrupt those kind of plays do I want this guy at 6325 playing single high safety no can he do it like he has great range he has a good ability to break up you know passes you know Pat had a lot of pass breakups but he he just fits the mold of that safety size that Dan Quinn likes like I said like with chin who could you know be the guy this year but then after that Dom Hampton is a guy that could um fill in I if Chin’s not here the year after that he only got a one-year deal um and he’s got a lot of experience once a guy once again a leader on that defense so he could be the future guy but he could have a role this year too it it depends can can Jeremy chin stay healthy I would love it if he could that would be fantastic all right um and then the last one javante jean Baptist recorded 43 total pressures a season ago including six sacks 11 quarterback hits he also produced 21 run stops without missing a tackle um and once again this is a super athletic guy um started at Ohio State transferred Notre Dame what didn’t have like the best career at um Ohio State it was kind of like eh and then he transferred to to Notre Dame and got much better so he’s about 6’4 in some change 239 pounds he’s a little bit on the Lighter Side you want him to get a little bit you know stronger but once again athletic profile through the roof had a 9.22 relative Athletic score 4.66 40 yard dash uh 2712 yard split had a 34 and a half vertical and a 10-7 broad jump like just great numbers all around but then you pop on the tape and he’s really good on the outside like I said they brought him in for top 30 so they obviously really like this guy um and you kind of go back to what do they think of the edge guys that were here do they like KJ Henry I don’t know I do do they like Andre Jones I don’t know I do um but then you have those rotational pieces like Dante F they have those veteran guys yeah you have the Dante Fowler you have the Colin frell like I said dorren Armstrong is going to have a big role coming up this year obviously that was like one of our Premier like fre agent signings I think he get you know fits more into that three down you know bigger of a role than he had in Dallas um but I think you’ll see um Jean Baptist get some pretty decent snap counts outside they’re going to they’re going to rush the quarterback by committee they don’t have this one one dominant guy on the outside like a you know Micah Parsons that he had in Dallas but they have guys who are going to be fresh legs coming in with their ears pinned back ready to get to the quarterback these are all athletic guys like I said Dante Fowler long arms you know great at fighting hands great at getting outside the tackle same with Ken frell just a really good physical stature um makes the most out of his reps you know rushing the quarterback like I said I like KJ Henry too don’t know what they think about but I I would like to see him get you know a role this year coming up as well but then Javon John Baptist fits what Dan Quinn likes in his Edge rushers as these big guys um let’s see Red Wings 01 said one of my favorite YouTubers described Jean Baptist is a power rusher trapped in a speed rusher body I can see that this is a guy who needs to get into the weight room and add a mover to to his Arsenal and I agree like once again I’m not calling this guy like a you know generational pass rusher but there’s things you can work with there and it it really does fit what Dan Quinn likes in his Edge rushers um but yeah he he he does play fast and he wants to be a little bit you know a little bit stronger like I say he’s a little bit undersized you know the weight’s the only thing that was really you know hurting is relative Athletic score but at the end of the day uh that Dan Quinn wanted this guy bad um big time so overall I agree with PFF I give it an a uh I mean obviously when get your franchise quarterback and you’re getting these big time you know value guys and jerson Newton they had you know no business being there at 36 same with Sam still being there at 50 did they you know reach for Ben Sate no like I said he was my tight end too at 53 I I I didn’t the reason I didn’t think we were gonna get him like I I knew like he was a Washington Commander I told him bro you’re it I I thought somebody else was gonna snatch him before we could but the whole trade helped us you know jump up from 78 really help get Benin in it so I was like hey I’m down with this trade I don’t care I don’t I don’t care what the Eagles do um and then like I said Brandon Coleman the upsides there the potential is there he has the athletic ability he has the size technique wise can he be a starting tackle in this league we will see Luke mcaffrey is gon to shock a lot of people Luke mcaffrey is going to once again be another fan favorite he’s going to have a very productive rookie season and he’s going to help out jayen Daniels is gonna love Luke McCaffrey um then Jordan McGee don’t sleep on him Adam Peters got Dre green law on the fifth a very physical athletic linebacker in the fifth round maybe he got his next Dre green law with Jordan McGee because this guy’s a freak athlete he is violent just like Dre green laww and then uh safety of the future possibly with Dominic Campton like I said Jeremy chin only got a one-year deal you got his possible replacement right here in the fifth round there’s a lot of these late round safeties I really liked but Dominique Hampton fit more I had Jaylen Simpson as the guy but you know going back looking at it I should have done more homework on Dominique Hampton um Keaton a lot of Depot out of Oregon state was another guy that’s the guy was kind of leaning towards more but when you think of the typical Dan Quinn safeties size roles Dominique Hampton is what Dan Quinn looks for so it’s a match made in heaven there for him then Javon Jean Baptist like I said just disruptive Edge rusher if he can if he can do more of what he did at Notre Dame that that’s the good that’s the good news he got better last year he got much better um and I I think you they’ll be able to work some things out with them and once again we don’t know what what they thought of the edge rushers that we had here like from last year so that’s what I think appreciate y’all for stopping by and uh and joining the chat hit that subscribe button if you haven’t already hit the like as well and Tuesday night I will go live again to talk about the undrafted free agents and y’all gonna be surprised I think there’s about four guys at least that could be starters or not maybe not starters but they’ll make the team over some of these guys I think these undrafted free agents here’s just a good little preview are going to replace these these Ron guys as depth um I’m going kind of just weave it out for y’all but I told you I was going to bring up the uh depth chart before we got off and I’m just gon to take a look at it real quick according to them we could have potentially four starters day one from this draft class um you want to talk about you know maybe geordan McGee you know gets more playing time over Jamon Davis throughout the season who knows maybe he ends up being one of those starters and then Jon Newton even though the depth chart might not show him as a starter they going to see those three guys um on the field at the same time with John Allen drawn pager on Newton you’re you are and this is where it gets interesting is the wide receiver spot like I said I think Luke mcaffry is wide receiver three this little area here gets real interesting I think I would love for my guy Mitch Tinsley to get a a chance next year push him up here get rid of Dax Mill uh get rid of Bryson Germaine get rid of Davon Davis Crowder that return guy lamin zakus maybe I like him um then left tackle what about Braden Daniels do he make a jump he wasn’t that good last year according you know to everybody but coaching staff wasn’t good either there’s a lot of things to watch um and I’ll talk about that a little bit more coming up on that video Tuesday about the undrafted guys because I think they make some no noise I think you know these little third string guys a lot of them are starting to get replaced with these undrafted guys because they threw some money at some of these undrafted guys Sam Hartman got paid a lot Tyler Owens got paid a lot um uh chi out of Colorado State the the um the corner got paid a lot they threw some money at some undrafted free agents so I’m G talk about that I’m G try to get some of those guys on here as well um starting to reach out to some of these draft guys you know not just Ben to come in on the channel and um I’m G start doing more of a more of a like show style thing too you know I’m G to have like these videos every now and then maybe I am breaking down something but I want to turn the channel into more of like a show feel more of like a show atmosphere kind of thing you know not just like a hey guys I’m talking about something today like it’s not like an informational thing I want this to be more of like a show thing so drop the comments you know if there’s something you want to see on the channel something like you want me to tweak or something like that I’m trying to I’m trying to be as good as I can trying to get better every day um but I just want this to have more of like a show feel not just like a this was a YouTube janal kind of thing like I want this to be more of a show and I want to build something special and I came back from the draft I appreciate everyone first off that was you know whether you watched draft videos whether you watched bleach report streams um I don’t have one this Tuesday but I have one coming up Tuesday after that which kind of like took the week off like I said I’m exhausted from traveling and everything um but I just appreciate everybody that you know supported throughout the draft season it was a huge hit big time success not only here on the channel most subscribers gained most you know Revenue have gotten off of YouTube all that good stuff but it was it was just the the support is amazing I love y’all guys um and it’s time to keep working like I said I’ll be going to some training camps some mini camps end of May probably end of June end of July so I’ll be back in Virginia a lot y’all haven’t Seen the Last of Me um but I just want to thank y’all like humble moment real quick just got to thank y’all because y’all are awesome and I’ll be doing some more giveaways and stuff like that too um maybe like a jersey and stuff like that maybe some sign stuff at training camp um for those that I can’t make it a camp but anyways appreciate y’all y’all are awesome and uh I’ll be back peace see y’all next time here on the jtf channel see y

  1. All the unrealistic Drake Maye talk is over. Now, all these guys are switching their opinions looking for the JD5 bandwagon

  2. Love the draft as chapter 1 of many. Love Daniels but will always wonder about the one that got away. If you are upset we didn’t get that tier 1 OT, they are really rare but 2025 is an incredible crop

  3. A couple years ago we passed on Chris Olave and the Saints took him. This year we passed on Kool-Aid McKinstry and the Saints took him lol. We still have no CB1

  4. This is my first time watching you and I'm highly impressed 👍🏼. Good quality content. You have a new sub and long time viewer. Keep it up!

  5. JD is the best QB in the last couple years to be drafted. Outside of KC QB because the
Player e everyone compare he to, L J he's better than coming out the draft. He's a real problem. For the league now with he has better weapons now coming in the NFL. Scary Terry and Dotson are proven WR now, he had two WR possibilitie good to great but he had to get the ball to them. Not saying he's going be first year star. But he wants to be and will be. I believe in what he brings to this Team is what been missing. Httr. Forlife😊

  6. I think that player we all ready have will be much better under Dan Q, as head coach, only because if they was good in the old system that didn't take advantage of there strangers points, this system takes advantage of what our player strengths Jamin Davis is a great pass rusher. We wi😢see just how good this. Make my word. HTTR

  7. Don't put the Texans turn around expectations on this team. What they did was nearly unprecedented. Fans need to be prepared for this team to be bad next season and the season after

  8. The talking heads on TV tried to start something during the final two weeks, but Adam Peters knew what he was doing, and he got his guy at #2. The media hoopla over a pre-draft tactic that successful NFL teams have done in the past has me beyond convinced that they absolutely miss Dan Snyder. Dan had the media spoiled because there was always some form of drama going on, and nothing stayed in-house. With no leaks from Washington and therefore no actual info on the direction they were going, the media had to create something to push the narrative that Washington was still a drama-filled mess.

  9. I feel like the entire draft was a disaster. We are going into the season with a horrific right tackle and backup swing tackle at left tackle. We gave up a retarded number of sacks last year and picked up a starting center and overpaid for a couple of backup guards. We picked and amazing DT but it was not a position of need. We over drafted our next 5 picks. They were all a reach. Jaylen Daniels will be running for his life will not make it to bye week. Sad repeat of what we did last year.
