Hannah darling had this for Birdie on the nine and the co-lead it’s all about getting into position today getting off to a good start okay how about shinchi here this for Birdie on 18 she missed the cut here in this event last year looking to change the fortune and that is going to help moves her right up the leaderboard oh beautifully [Applause] done whole location in the front today it’s about spin control not a bad leave you see the downhill off of the T place about four yards downhill for these players okay Hanna looking for some Redemption on her title defense from last year got a fourstroke penalty on the opening hole looking for her title defense after lift clean and place doing it in the rough in the wrong position on the golf course and that was so unfortunate but she’s tried to shake that off mentally and really I almost see this is her title defense here this is this is her moment oh well done excellent to keep her at two under par tell from her reaction there whether she hit that the way she wanted to or not but it right now it’s in the bottom of the hole she looked a little surprised but look at that and this is the fourth now for [Music] Franchesca not a bad shot there Morgan now she’s going to have the opportunity to save par this is Maisie filler finishing up her day and there it is just enough that puts her at 4 under and a very nice day it was spurred on by that birdie at 17 and the hole out on the first this SP G to have a little speed to it and break a bit to her right L’s grandmother made the trip over from England to watch her compete this week let’s get back out to 12 the par 4 Ang limbad off to a solid start this for birdie and that moves her to four under on her round put her in a tie for second this is Farah o’keef wind moving right to left off this T marker oh yeah I nearly judge that perfectly playing alongside the river you get to this these holes on this back nine and there’s a dramatic tremendous amount of dramatic elevation changes you really have to adjust visually good preparation for Augusta National dare I say it’s back nine Nora sunburg now this for buddy 16th is the hardest hole on the golf course today this is lty W finishing up on the ninth hole I don’t know if that’s how she drew it up but it’s going to leave a very nice birdie look look when she gets up [Applause] there okay par for linblad how can you not smile listening to Ella talk about her round that was great such honesty how about this touch and in take a look at Hannah darling now that was for solo lead plays her college golf at South Carolina to move her into that co-lead she’s doing just exactly what she needs to do Anna right now just not getting into too much trouble keeping the golf course and the golf ball in front of her and just plugging along back to Hannah darling now on 18 her approach just barely gets it on the wrong side of the ridge big birdie putt here for Hannah darling that was close well with that she would have matched the Augusta National Women’s am a single round scoring record but I tell you what a tap in for an opening round of six under ain’t bad Morgan ah what a beautiful round of golf Hannah put together today and that’s a bonus one of the best judge shots we’ve seen here into 18 yeah nice finish there for the junior at South Carolina 22 years of age from Sweden making her debut here at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur I would be looking at the right edge of this green maybe even that bunker just right of the green here is a good Target obviously drew a reasonable lie a wonderful shot aggressive play and it paid off that is a wonderful spot to chip from right there that is a player with confidence right there yeah that was just mental I don’t know what it was that was in her mind there that was unsettling but it’s still a very impressive opening round from the world number one amateur golfer ingred lindblad she finishes her day in that TI for second opening round 67 well opening round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur it has been a day of low scoring now in the first four editions of this event we had just six opening rounds in the 60s combined well today we’ve already got 10 players who have post posted uh rounds in the 60s so you can see just how getable these conditions have been we came out this morning and this golf course had received a fair amount of rain with those thunderstorms that came in overnight and those scores are there to be had

  1. Oh man started watching and thought Augusta had let things go then realized it's not Augusta national

  2. They play 2 rounds at Champions just to qualify. The practice round at Augusta is Friday followed by the final round Saturday. The show will start soon 🎥

  3. I wish they could be honest about yardages and tee boxes but per usual, its about challenging the men, and not embarrassing the girls.

  4. So hole out eagle to start the round doesn’t make a highlight reel? But missed putts do? What is happening here?
