864 in forom uh I guess just how how
good was that for you guys today I guess
Sam we can start with you yeah we we
played great um uh we both you know hit
the ball pretty well kept it in front of
us which is what you have to do in this
format and we made a a couple nice putts
early Paul made about 10 footer for par
on number three and uh that was honestly
I thought a huge moment in the round and
then we just kind of like I said we we
hit good shots and made a couple putts
here and there and we just sprinkled in
the birdies which was great uh we had a
lot of fun and yeah we just kind of got
rolling kept rolling Sam mentioned the
put on three but Paul I guess the what
other I guess major moments from coming
down the stretch kind of stood out to
you yeah I feel like we’ve been talking
about 13 the whole week that you know
we’re going to go for the green and all
and we did didn’t really work out and we
had kind of a scrappy little par there
but I felt like
that kept us you know going uh because
obvious see a boogie is not not super
fun especially on one of the shortest
hole on the course but uh yeah I felt
like maybe it was a bit of a bad
decision there but we got away with it
and uh and then we had a few coming down
the stretch but yeah um yeah we just
kept it in play for most for most of the
round which was nice and then you
mentioned the Doug the mindset going
into today you had you had five unders
maybe a number I guess what was the what
was the thought process kind of coming
out to the on the on the tea today
knowing that you can kind of Freewheel
it and try to post a a low
one yeah I mean I feel like on Friday we
played pretty good but probably close to
the same as today it just didn’t work
out we had a bad hole to finish and uh
just you know a couple more mistakes and
didn’t maybe put quite as well um but we
knew it was possible to make a few
birdies at least so uh that was kind of
our our goal yeah I think just kind of
getting out of the gates in this format
is so important because it is difficult
C but it’s not impossible you know so if
you can kind of play those first three
four five holes really well um which we
did um you kind of feel like okay here
we go but uh so we got off to a good
start made you know a decent little par
on one and then Birdie on to and you
kind of settle in a little bit which I
thought was was big for us I know you
guys are going to hang out for a little
bit and see how it shakes out but
regardless of how this week ends up for
you guys I mean what does this what does
this do for you you know separately
going on the rest of the season being
able to to come together and have a a
good confident week like this yeah I
think I mean you know we’re going to
score a lot of points regardless of of
um of how we finish so uh I think for
both of us it’s great and then yeah
carry some momentum with a good last
round for Dallas next week we’re both
going to play I think regardless of the
outcome so um yeah it’ll be good
momentum I haven’t really played too
well this season so I think it’ll be
good for
me yeah I mean it’s it’s always good to
have a good event and um we weren’t sure
that we were going to play together
we’ve been friends for a few years now
and it kind of worked out well uh about
a month ago that we were going to be
able to play together and and uh yeah we
were just super comfortable all week and
it’s it’s you know it’s fun to play well
with a friend you know it’s going to be
it’s going to be uh interesting to see
how these last few hours go but
hopefully uh hopefully it goes well for
us a
