oh all these not natural people are the
famous ones like there’s what will
Tennyson Alex Eubank Jeff nippard Jeff
nippard I’m like okay you could be
natural I think there’s a lot of people
that are still fake natties to this day
cuz a lot of people are open about it
you can say it but like I think there’s
a few that are potential fakes yeah I
won’t name anybody um and it’s like to
each their own I don’t know why they
would lie maybe they’re just freaks in
nature but I feel like there’s
definitely less than there used to be
because it’s
almost glorified to be on something now
like literally why that’s literally the
video we just filmed for my channel like
that’s the whole message is like there’s
a glorification in the fitness industry
but it’s not really the it’s not the
influenc are doing it it’s like the the
result of what they have and the aura
around them is is delivering like this
message to everybody that they’re not
they’re not directly saying take
steroids
but everyone indirectly is looking at
them I want be like them so I need to
either be on steroids or you know oh all
these not natural people are the famous
ones like there’s what me will Tennyson
Alex
Eubank Jeff nippard Jeff nippard are
there’s like four let’s say there’s six
yeah real Naturals that are known and
it’s like but there’s like 20 fake Nat
or no there’s 20 not Naturals that are
honestly bigger than some of us yeah so
it’s like so when you look at at it from
an outsider’s perspective like of the
fitness industry you’re like you know
maybe I should be one of the 20 think
about it it’s like it’s it’s easier it’s
it’s probably easier to become one of
the 20 than it is to become one of the
six you so here’s the here’s my point
you have amazing genetics so does Will
and SOA all these guys have amazing
genics if you have shitty genetics and
you take gear and a lot of it I can get
that guy to look about like you but
you’re natural and they’re not and if
they claim naty they’re at your level
it’s almost like hey I know what I’m
doing
that been just using gear the whole time
and so they lie about it so I don’t
think guys are lying about it who look
like you know the big guys it’s the ones
that want to just be at your level which
is already a high level they’re just
trying to meet you there yeah I I
honestly feel like the fake Naturals are
the ones that are still in the industry
are are honestly like hard to spot yeah
like there’s some easy ones that you’re
like okay sure sure you’re natural
you’re on for 40 in but it’s like then
there’s guys that are smaller that you
know I’m like okay you could be natural
I don’t know and those are probably the
dudes that might be either lying or they
are just natural and a decent genetics
it’s so hard to tell nowadays do people
go up to you at the Expos and say like
what do you think of my physique do I
look Natty like do they ask surprisingly
I think they I feel like they used to
and I used to get a ton of Dems on it
but honestly lately no yeah do you get
that a lot all the time coach what am I
to say right now like you look enhanced
or not you look natural but like is my
opinion going to change anything and
like why do you care but like do you
know many 15-year-olds came up to me and
were benching like three plates like
multiple honestly that’s that’s where
that’s where I start seeing that people
are are potentially on things is when
the strength is ridiculous yeah I’m like
there’s like 16-year-olds benching 315
I’m like and 15 I’m like there’s a 16 it
took me it took me till 18 to barely get
it yeah yeah so that was I had 315 when
I was eight I was seven going on to 18 I
was 17 and I and my and my strongest
point of my body is my bet yeah like my
strongest lift is my bench and and I hit
it at 17 so like if you’re if if it’s
your strongest Point you’re hitting at
15 16 like dude I don’t know what the
hell you’re doing or on maybe they’re
just freaks of nature but it’s so rare
you’ve been in I hope they’re freaks of
nature maybe what you two like four
years like really hardcore like where
you’re and have you seen a shift in like
how much people are using steroids then
to now like is there is there noticeable
shift even back then when I was like 17
yeah like I was 17 there there was less
talk about it and there was more people
that were on stuff that I looked up to
that I had no idea took it cuz they
didn’t talk about it and then I’m you
know I’m in the industry I find out
later that people were on the stuff and
I was like what yeah I’m like bro I
thought you were the Natty like I
thought you were natural the whole time
like and you and I find out like I was
just but honestly like I’m not going to
lie if they would have said they were on
something I don’t know if I would have
been as motivated because I I wouldn’t
I’d be like I can’t achieve that then
like but now look but so that’s the
thing it’s like they were on something
they motivated me so they did do
something good they might have lied
about you know not they might have lied
about their natural status but at the
end of the day they still motivated me
to want to compete and be a bodybuilder
and be like a known YouTuber yeah so
it’s like they did do good technically
so a fake Natty can still do good
essentially if the messaging is right
yeah you’re thinking really positive
yeah but then again but like I
understand like they can be very
manipulative and and and like they’re
technically but I think it’s like I
think if you’re someone that just
doesn’t address it it’s different than
completely line there’s no black and
white to this it’s really tough cuz the
people that I think about like that
motivated me that I didn’t realize were
not natural until now like I’m still
glad that I got to watch them and and
think the way I did because it made me
want to do what I’m doing so I guess
that’s probably why I’m positive about
it cuz I’m like well you inspired me
still do you think of guys like like the
ma major famous guys like the rock or
like Chris Hemsworth these that are like
and they don’t talk about it like and
they have the bodies that are they’re
doing it is that sending a bad message
or should they just keep it shut or
should they actually come out and say
guys like you can’t look like me I’m the
rock I’m 52 do you really think this is
natural like I i’ love that message know
like what would that do I think here’s
the thing they are real life superheroes
to people and I think that’s why that
that they remain not talking about it
because it’s like to an average person
in the world that doesn’t know about the
fitness industry and
Peds it’s
like that’s that’s a superhero like
literally like Clark Kent in real life
that they look up to so if they then
were like hey you’ll never be like me it
crushes like 50% of the world it crushes
your dream it crushink I don’t know I
don’t know cuz like I’m all about it’s
just my opinion it doesn’t mean it’s
right like I’m all about setting
realistic expectations I get [ __ ] on
quite a bit for telling people like
halfway there you’ll never look like
that I
think I think there needs to be people
like you that that are very honest and
like straightforward and then you know
more optimistic side whereas over here
on my end to kind of balance the world
like what would help me more like I’ll
say Jesse is like do you think I could
ever be Pro natural and like get to the
Olympia stage and be like not a chance
in hell not even a 0.1% chance I mean it
would CR crush your attitude or would be
like okay if it was my if it was my goal
if it truly was my goal it would hurt
but also I think think of it when I
played Sports um I mean a coach would be
like you’re playing like [ __ ] today get
off the field and I’m like holy crap
okay and you get off the field because
you have no choice and someone else that
was behind you is now going to go play
and it’s like but that made me better so
it’s like the same sort of thing where
if you tell me that okay if you can
really just if you can take it construct
constructively and try to be like okay
well maybe I’m not going to be Chris uh
bumet on on Mr Olympia but maybe I can
go be the best YouTuber now maybe I
should just focus on that cuz and like I
think that’s where you’d be like listen
I don’t see I don’t think you can be an
ifbb Pro but I you have so much
potential in this like that focus on
that and like that’s what you like like
where you like if you were to talk to
seum years ago maybe you’d be like hey
you have so much potential in
bodybuilding focus on that and then
social media you know rather than
telling him no go be a YouTuber bro you
know what I mean like I think in I think
maybe there’s a discouragement but
encouraging the right direction after
that is probably a good like combo yeah
like hey don’t do this but you should do
this and obviously they can make their
own decision and prove anybody wrong but
it’s just it’s hard it’s I hate blowing
smoke up people’s asses and I just have
to tell people the truth and I find with
knowledge comes power like if you know
something for fact you can then do
whatever you want with that like you can
be like yeah screw you Greg I’m going to
show you I’m going to win that freaking
contest I mean that’s going to show if
you really wanted it though like if I if
you’re told that like hey you’re not
good enough and you’re you think that
you truly are you will then prove it
yeah and that’s where that’s where my
whole heads space was when I was doing
social media people would tell me like
you’re never going to do anything on
this like you have 10K and you’ve been
trying for 4 years why are you doing
this and I’m like well I’m going to do
it CU I truly knew my passion so if it
is truly your passion and someone’s
telling you not not to do it or you’re
not good enough and you know that that
is meant for you like that’s where it
honestly use it as fuel yeah if somebody
says something negative you don’t like
and you know you can do it in your heart
like just go for it don’t listen to the
haters at the same time you know if also
you got to understand you’re you’re
realistic cuz I if I say I’m never going
to take St steroids but then I tell you
I want to be Mr Olympia you’re going to
be like dude you you’re never going to
be Mr Olympia naturally yeah I’m like
okay what is the probable cause then
what is the effect that I need to take
and that’s going to be okay I need to go
get a coach and go on gear and try that
route you know like yes that route that
you just said is not going to happen is
not going to happen but I could maybe go
this route and hop on and do you know a
billion shows until I make it all the
way to wherever I want to be

  1. Lifting is becoming more and more common. It’s not surprising that younger kids are reaching high lifts. Back then only a few good lifters at a school but now a lot of kids are giving it a shot so more chances of freaks I’d say.

  2. Alex Eubank is literally open about his use. Like what? And Greg called him out, definetely should not be in the list of the natty goats.

  3. I'm 52 and on TRT and it helps, but prior to TRT I was fit as well. The thing I would like to see more as the goal of fitness influencers is that building muscle as a natural is beneficial by itself. We all know it, but the narrative is typically more focused on getting jacked by any means necessary.

I will tell anyone who asks that being fit is great because I can do things a lot of people cannot. Being fit is great because it gets you attention and not just sexual attention, though that part is nice as well. This was true for me before TRT and it's still true today. I like to help people and looking how I look prompts people to ask me what to do for themselves. Most people will never act on it, but that's the reason it is so valued, natural or not.

It's hard work either way, but staying natty & dedicated will change your life, regardless of your natural potential.

Or do gear, I don't give a shit, live your life. 😂

  4. How low do you have to sink to claim "natty" while being 220-240lbs 8% bodyfat? "I have superior genetics" or "I have been working out for 20 years" 🤔

That's one of the reasons I like Greg, Larry Wheels, CBUM, and more of the pros who don't lie🤷

  5. Wanna say something related to what Jesse said about benching 315 at 17. I'm from Portugal, I'm a personal trainer for several years now (M32), and have been working out straight no pauses for 14 years now (no PEDS ever), competed in powerlifting but not anymore due to some injuries. I've been on several commercial gyms, several hardcore gyms and worked in a few more and, outside of powerlifters and pro bodybuilders that actually compete, I can count with my 10 fingers the number of regular gym goers I've seen benching 315 (140kg). Half of those people were huge guys, strong men like very rare in my country considering genetics (130+kg bw), other half were just really strong guys but clearly on gear. Avg height of a portuguese male is about 1.70cm, and avg weight around 70kg. I'm 1.82, 90kg, with some visible abs, I guess around 15-18% body fat. It took me 2 years of powerlifting commitment and technique learning, plus gaining an extra 8kg, to actually bench 315 for a 1RM. I actually know a guy with similar proportions to mine that actually got to the same 1RM of 315 at around 26 years old, I was 29 the first time I got it. Now benching 315 in the states at 17 seems like something pretty common, I guess the influence of strength sports in highschool also comes into play, which is something here in Portugal is not at all promoted. Sports influences here are much more in the realm of team sports, athletics and gymnastics, than actual strength sports or any kind of physically demanding sport that's demanding on your skeleton muscular system.

  6. The only real bodybuilder that’s easy to look up to is Arnold we all know the celebrities that have crazy bodies are 100% on gear there is no way you can workout hard all the time in a 6 months period and they get twice the size for a movie.

  7. What you guys don’t realise is that steroids is a felony in the USA so if the rock was to admit it he would be admitting to a felony is could cause problems later in his life so y would he admit it

  8. I love this video because you have a calm voice and not the high squeeky voice you have in other video’s😅

  9. Jesse being surprised by 16 year old benching 315 makes me feel better as a 16 how can hit 205 lol I thought 205 was sorta mid maybe it is or am strong and don’t know it

  10. Test levels being a joke these days I don’t blame someone for being on TRT or atleast combatting low levels with some Test. It’s best for someone who wants to be heathy to avoid social media and the fitness industry as a whole which is unfortunate.

  11. It's 2024, no one gives a shit if your natural or not. And weather your 16 or 36, if you choose to use drugs that's on you. You make your own life choices. No one is reresponsible for anyone else's life

  12. Delusional to think more people are using gear than they were in 90s/00s when you could literally buy it from gnc. Early/mid 2000s every teenager who lifted was taking prohormones they legally bought not even realizing what they were taking.the only thing you could maybe say is that more people are going to the gym now because it's grown in popularity. But percentage wise, the number is nearly the exact same I'm sure

  13. I think the point is, it is not only the fitness-industry, it is sports in general. If people would know how (in all type of sports) athletes are "optimizing" their results with "hard work and grinding" I think a lot would stop watching. Also some young people would stop chasing their "sports-career" if they would know beforehand that the top is only possible via "optimization". As they don´t know, they invest a lot and when they find out it is too late.

  14. This video was a hard watch, purely because of how many times Jesse was interrupting and talking over Greg mid-sentence 😳 Can’t stand that shit.

  15. Jesse is natural now, but he has definately took some stuff before , not saying that contributes anything to his current physique, but I’d bet money he’s tried some shiz for fun and will never disclose that because people would downplay his actually truly natty physique

  16. My genetics are great luckily for me. I was 160 in high school at 16-17 benching 300 pounds. I took weightlifting in high school for 1.5 hours 5 days a week and went from benching 135 to 300, squat went from 185 to 485. I didn't dead lift back then so really don't know what I could have done then. I stopped lifting after school and 15 years later started back lifting and the same thing strength jumped so fast in a year it's crazy, but now I have to take it easier on volume or the joints get sore, and I can't stay consistent.
