let’s give you the full highlights of
what Shane Lowry and Rory mroy did
today we start off with this team as
they did on the back n second hole of
the day at the par
51 well they did not take advantage of
this hole in round number one so they
almost double up with that chip but they
do take advantage of it right off the
gate but they would bogey the 12 here is
Shane at the par for 13th with his
t-shot well interestingly enough he
chose to lay up yesterday and made
birdie but Rory went for it and made
cars so he’s like okay Rory’s hitting
the second shot he’s used to be up
around the green so I’m going to put him
up around the green today it does help
that’s a little more downwind today than
it was
yesterday and then Rory let’s see if he
can take care of the up part of the up
and down and he does just that and Lowry
handles the down and we’re back down
under par to 12 under in fact Roy maroy
at the 15th this is his
approach yeah the 15th the nice part
five but you can see he tried to turn
that over blocked it out in front of it
that’s been a little bit of his trouble
this year with his irons getting a
little bit stuck only make part at that
one they would remain at 12 under Lowry
now at the 17th you saw what happened
here well typically they think that the
best iron players are hitting off the
odd holes that’s most of the teams do
that and static I istically low is
better but there had his
attention you’re fine low and look at
Rory he’s a good caddy he’s cleaning up
so Roy’s doing his job clean up the mess
and Roy did clean up the mess there and
nice little wedge up onto the green they
would save part remain at 12 under mooy
now at the par 518
third all right this hole is over there
on the kind of front left portion of the
green this is over the green and Chip
down another lip out for Eagle but going
to be an easy four no problem at all not
a lot of work left there okay just
deposit this one in for bir get you’re
these are good hold on wait a what a bad
stroke that was my goodness stay down on
it
chain so they stay 12 under they bogey
the third here they are now oh another
bird Miss from inside at 5 ft oh boy
frustrating on the greens for Shane
Lowry
so they
would here we go Shane Lowry let’s see
what he does at the par five with his
third that’s a club five seven yeah wow
his chipping is very nice this year
averaging about 6 feet from the hole
when he’s scrambling but that much
better than
that now at the eighth Rory drove it
right up there in the front bunker a
little bit downwind out of the right
today and the short game’s fine for
Shane spend a little time on the short
PS cuz Rory’s going to clean that one up
for B
and that would see them finish on the
mark of 13 under par uh
trip this year compared to last year the
course is playing almost a stroke and a
half harder in this second round
