janone one of the top decorated high
school athletes from
2022 has officially committed to
Nebraska after playing his first two SE
seasons of college football at Montana
and the previous Husker staff led by
Scott Frost was very close to offering
genone back in the summer of 2021 it
never materialized and he ended up at
Montana where the Grizzlies were
National runner-ups at the FCS level
janone was set to start this year as a
sophomore at outside linebacker and be
the Grizzlies kick returner but chose to
go into the portal and look at some
different options and he really fits the
mold of the type of players Matt rule
likes to bring into his program he ran
his 100 meter dash back in high school

10.50 seconds finishing third to current
Huskers jayen Lloyd and Malachi Coleman
he also possesses a 4.45 second 40-yard
dash a 4.13 second Pro agility a 38 1/2
in vertical and a 127 in broad jump all
these marks would rank towards the top

janone is an elite athlete um at North
Plat High School had 136 tackles as a
senior along with 911 yards rushing and
13 touchdowns on offense he was a
two-time state champion wrestler as well
as a Junior and senior and named the

  1. Wanna run a pro style offense like the 49ers do (as Rhule has stated)? You need a Juszczyk. Maybe that's a role for Vince? Maybe he stays as a linebacker?

  2. It is hard to understand why NU ever let this kid get away. His athletic credentials are elite, with the big heart of a native Nebraskan. Hence our football win/loss record the last 20 years.

  3. This guy is a freak athlete and faster than a lot of our current players. He could be one hell of a fullback too, or running back. At linebacker he has potential to be great in coverage and getting in the backfield too of course. GBR!

  4. Glad that Rhule and team signed him. The better question is why in the world would Frost not sign this kid two years ago? I mean, seriously, if a football playing two-time Nebraska athlete of the year isn't good enough for Frost and Co, then who was? And there in reveals yet another element of the game that Frost and crew failed at: recruiting and talent assessment. Glad we have Matt Rhule and I hope we can hang on to him for several decades.

  5. This won't get a lot of get a lot of publicity now. But this is a BIG DEAL! This kid could play on Sunday and it's proof kids are seeing what's happening.

  6. Linebacker? If you don’t have that big of a dude with that kind of speed toting the rock that’s a sin.
