it’s the weekend at The Woodlands third
round play underway here in the 53rd
edition of the Chevron Championship The
Club at Carlton Woods the site first
major of the season on the LPGA Tour how
about this leaderboard Nelly Corda
looking for her fifth straight win two
under already through the opening five
holes sharing the lead with the TI titun
and Jin Heim who’s a rookie on the LPGA
Tour about what Brook Henderson has done
five under the opening nine holes to get
right there in the mix Terry ganana
Morgan Pressel Tom Abbott Karen stles
paig McKenzie and Amy Rogers with you
and Nelly Corda currently in the bunker
here at 6 and blocked out from trying to
go for this whole location anything on
the green would be a good shot from
here a very smart play right there as
you can see that whole location all the
way in the back left six has been one of
the hardest Fairways to hit it this week
well the the opening nine holes
Sensational for Brook Henderson and this
for another birdie here at
10 she’s only had 12 putts through her
round so far oh wow 13 through 10 any
good oh look at this
wow he likes it does have a good enough
lie to get this ball fairly close to
that flag good angle from this right
side no problems with the trees
flag cut in the bowl in the middle of
the green just needs to go a little bit
more this could be really good keep an
eye on it yeah wonderful shot there from
Brooke and another birdy try and she
would tie the lead as the way it stands
at the moment if that goes in did not
snake one in from long range and see if
Nelly can make
birdie right pace need a fraction more
on that line
okay solid over the first seven holes
there cou under this is Charlie Hull at
the 17th for a birdie back down the hill
Charlie one under for the day not really
in
contention but that’s is it going to get
it yeah it does that’s a little bonus
take dead aim with this whole location
today we’ve already seen some pretty
good shots in

the players have dealt with any wind was
late in the day in the first round L

bad spot to chip from here she’s on an

exactly that and it might go in a shot
from Henderson that’s going to be a
birdie to take her to 10 under par for
the championship eight under for the
round through 13 HS what a Saturday for
Brook it could have been one shot better
there she thought it might have a
chance it’s a similar putt to the one
that we saw Brooke make for Eagle we
know it’s makeable this is the strength
of her game her
putting oh she’s got another
one from extra long range that looked
like Birdie the whole way didn’t it it’s
like one of those holes that makes you
shake your head got used to seeing her
make those yesterday similar putts but
that was special this one is downhill
he’s got it set up just on the right
edge of the
hole there it is again the two-time
major champ that is her ninth one Putt
in a row so interesting with a Tia’s
thumb injury that she’s had recently
she’s been forced to change her grip to
take pressure off of her left thumb
sitting under her right hand weakened
her left hand and strengthened her right
a little bit and that’s a hard thing to
do to make a grip change maybe just
inside
right oh my
gosh just look like maybe a pushed it a
fraction unfortunately that streak of
one putt 10 in a row ends with a three
putt here at
16 first bogey of the day too got a look
at 18 the power five finishing hole now
ran on the 81st ranked player in the
world from South
Korea hang on oh go ahead and hit the
flag stick that’s the only way that was
going to stop
wow I don’t even think she understands
what what actually has just happened I
mean that was motoring she set up a good
bit outside the hole here Paige she’s
given it quite a bit
yeah just

suspended you can tell the last 5
minutes or so really started to get
darker
here and we do have some reports of
electricity in the
area a bit of a front moving through
overnight this afternoon and overnight
going to change the weather for tomorrow
yeah initially it was supposed to hold
off until later tonight and now a little
bit sooner than
that so these players kind of knew this
was a possibility today they’re prepared
for it and it’s going to just take some
patience it’s part of playing an outdoor
sport
something that we’ve all done many many
times head back to the clubhouse waited
out wait for another update
