as we head back to the 12th there’s our
guy kiz striding his way down the 12th
uh kiz we just showed some Snippets from
uh some of your work last week have you
recovered uh from your first uh debut in
the broadcast Booth last week I guess
not you boys put me through too much
ringer I’m five over out here getting
La so you’re saying you do miss us it’s
a lot less stressful in that Booth I can
promise you that kids we’ve uh you know
you didn’t have much of a chance really
to practice
and play last week so I’m imagining that
there was quite a bit of rust on the
game starting yesterday yeah yesterday
was tough I really got off to a bad
start shot four over on my first nine
but you know I saw saw some stuff that
was pretty good and then today’s been
wild I uh I stuffed it in there on the
second hole to 4T and three putted and
then I got to the 6t and at the top of
my back swing my driver shaft snapped in
my grip so uh I’m hitting some random
driver right now K how long was that
putt uh that you missed a three putt
there at uh what was it the second hole
I was about
4T just not I think it’s karma karma
Jordan spe at home scratching on that
doll getting
me hey KZ what about this golf course uh
it’s it’s one of the more unique golf
courses out here I I I I feel like it’s
kind of your style of place uh do you
feel that way yeah for sure I I love it
it’s it’s kind of crazy this year the
wind’s completely opposite than what
we’ve ever seen and it’s going from 25
sustained to zero today so you’re trying
to judge gust and direction is kind of
flipping all over the place so a little
bit difficult to judge the win like we
just played 10 and I hit driver Sand
Wedge which I’ve been driving the Green
in years past so uh wild wild flip on
what we normally play here you’ve always
been a grinder KZ now you’re going to
you know at what you’re at right now
five over it’s going to be tough for you
to make the cut what are you going to
work on now the rest of this round to
try to figure something out for down the
road yeah I’m actually hitting some
decent shots today and I’m just trying
to uh obviously my driver broke so I
don’t really have a driver so that’s a
little bit tough out here today A hit a
driver I’ve never hit um but I’m going
to keep working on the things I’ve been
working on and see if I can’t get in a
Groove here on the back now with seven
to go to to lead into next week I’m
playing next week in Palm Springs well
your uh your Bay Hill partner Smiley
Kaufman might be able to give you some
pointers after the round today kid if
you’ve got some time I know he misses
you as a dinner partner as well as we
all
I’ll miss you boys too all right we’ll
let you get set for this uh second shot
as you weave it through the trees you
going to have a shot here before we let
you go yeah I think I’m all right all
right well we’ll we’ll pick up the
conversation in just a bit Kev Kevin

well if he’s far enough back the trees
shouldn’t be an issue there so he may
have to land this it should come out a
little hot out of this Bermuda rough so
he’s got to land it probably front third
maybe no more than halfway into the
green and let it run to that back
location you like this one yes I
thankfully he’s taking the earbuds out
yeah exactly and he’ll put it back in
and check in with us after the
shot looks pretty good yeah very good
out of
there
and he we saw on that stat there he’s
had four top fives here at the Sony so
he knows how to get around this golf
course it just he didn’t play a whole
lot last season so so K yeah kid that
second shot proving once again it ain’t
no hobby out here for you that was
pretty nifty needed it to go a little
bit wanted to jump a little more than
that I can’t I got to get back in that
4ot range try to get some confidence
back just knock it in but hey and can
you call the turl Hatton shot for us I
know that you enjoy playing with the
Englishmen just give us a little bit
more of your broadcast Acumen here I
love playing with Terell I just look for
I strive to look for one of his blowups
he’s probably got about 145 50 yards at
eight iron off of UPS slope riding the
wind I think it’s too far to the
right I was right again pretty good at
this yeah you you picked it up fairly
quickly a broadcast player Mark Rie Mark
roling has a question for you but you’re
going to call Gary Woodland shot here
before Ral checks
in what about Woodland over here from
the bunker kid oh you want me to call
this one too so yeah you’re on all right
we’re live you’re live and we’ve got no
delay just to let you know he’s got a
good he’s a good Fairway bunker player
I’m feeling like this is a flight at
eight iron as well he’s going to drive
it in low and maybe skip it back there
one hop and
stop think I nailed this one too a
little left don’t catch the green he
didn’t hit enough clove I would have put
him on more clove if I was his caddy Hey
kid before we uh let Ral chime in here
where’d you get the new driver from
short notice so uh randomly uh on
Tuesday I had a club company ask me if I
wanted to try their new one and I said
well I actually don’t have a backup so
just stick one in my
locker so I hit it three times on the
driving range and then uh it’s in play
here we are all right yeah kids I’m
wondering after 4 days in the broadcast
Booth last week on Maui if you feel like
you learned anything there that’s going
to help you as a player I think I need
to start watching like uh PGA Tour live
or the early coverage and start marking
more notes on putts I felt like once you
started watching guys putt you can
really pay attention to what the greens
are doing and and where guys miss a lot
of putts over and over
again well kid yeah we look forward to
seeing you again at the WM open in
Phoenix and uh I just get the feeling
that that’s going to be your kind of uh
your kind of golf tournament what do you
think let’s get that party started too I
can handle that one well you’re going to
play You’re going to play well next week
so you find something the rest of the
