Gardens Florida and the third Monday
finish in the 52-year history of the
cognizant classic in the Palm Beaches
players in position including the
overnight leader Austin e
root Austin e Road boy it’s all right in
front of them isn’t it sure is only 88
yds asking for it to go it’s only a
second Miss Fairway today
oh asking for it to go hard and it
did another really good look that’s
three straight days Austin has made a
birdie at 13 and now the lead has
ballooned to
three a great
contact that just a slight draw in there
tremendous another great
swing complete free
him this is just inside 12 ft did he hit
it yeah he did and that goes a long way
in putting away this

at it how good is this look at this guy
he is a star in the making that is a
confident golf

start he’s done everything well his
first few years out here he’s keeps
getting better and better he will gladly
take a three shot lead to the 18th
hole happy with how I played the the
bear trap you know it’s not a fun finish
whenever you have to hold on to a lead
and then the adversity of sleeping mid
round and you I’m just really happy with
how I handled it little smile on his
face knowing you have it in
hand no problems here

to Bay Hill the players the Masters the
PGA Championship just kind of that
lifechanger launching pad just an
indicator of how much depth there is on

position I just kept telling myself I’m
put myself in this position for a reason
I’m just happy I was able to
perform rapid recovery presented by

of six birdies in a row and he hit it
close and makes
seven he has never made Seven birdies in
a row and well his work is is cut out

now yeah I always liked when the sand

after a breakout season in 2006 that
included two runner-up finishes in four

beas got those two wins and you feel
like you’re on top of the world but I’ve
been the same guy throughout the ups and
downs he just exudes style the minute he
came on tour a few years back into an
instant impact when he finished second
behind Tiger Woods he has everything
needed to be a star on this tour but it
took him a little time to win all he
needs to become really one of the big
stars around the world in athletics is
victories we just trying to get better
every day trying to be athletes trying
to be golfers and trying to be good
parents good human beings set an example
and and enjoy the ride because that’s
the main thing I mean the winds are
great but the process I really
enjoyed the Jus earned his fourth
victory in 2014 before his game went
cold injuries and swing troubles driving
him back to the corn fairy
tour but losing his PGA Tour card was
nothing compared to the devastation that
came with the loss of his daughter Mia
from pediatric cancer in the summer of
2020 and yet vas’s resilience never
wavered Mia has has changed us for
good tough memories but I always say
life keeps going and um you got to make
the most of it she’s inspired us to help
others and our foundation M as Miracles
is something we never
plan but it’s open our hearts to do what
the PGA Tour does so good which is
charity and give back
I’ve had a chance to spend time with
Barbara Nicholas and Jack Nicholas
they’ve become an inspiration they were
very helpful in the whole process when
we were at Nicholas children’s with Mia
and just to see Jack talk about charity
and giving back and how it kind of fills
his heart this is a guy that has won so
many golf tournaments and has
accomplished so many great things and to
hear him talk of his foundation
accomplishments is pretty cool
we just want to follow their steps and
bring smiles to those in
need I think people care about us They
value our efforts to grind to work they
value our foundation and they feel for
what we went through with with our
daughter Mia so you put all that stuff
in combination and it’s been very
emotional with the memory of Mia ever
present and 9 years removed from his
last victory but Jus entered the 2023
season well outside the top 125 in the
FedEx Cup
standings he missed seven Cuts in 10 PGA
Tour starts before teeing it up at the
worldwide technology
Championship you play golf to win golf
tournaments but it’s been a bumpy road
in many ways and when I go to Mexico I
go with zero expectations I was happy to
get a sponsor invite there look out it’s
getting better and better to give myself
a chance to win was special I felt a lot
better than I thought I was going to and
not being in contention for several
years what a week for Camila though and
so many people
emotionally supporting
millas at this stage of his career oh so
close to winning for the fifth time on
the PGA tour with the solo second in
Mexico he moved up to 147th in the FedEx
Cup standings before heading to the
Butterfield Bermuda Championship the
following week
didn’t know what to expect in Bermuda
it’s a golf course I actually like I was
very patient the first two rounds and
then I I kind of put myself in position
and again I was feeling very comfortable
throughout the week camil vas is back in
the winner circle and this one’s for
Mia I guess it was my
time
last year was very special the energy I
received from everybody after making a
nice little comeback and winning again
on the PGA tour has been very special
the win itself puts me back on the PJ
tour which is great I’m very grateful
very grateful to to do what I do you can
analyze your life and your success in
many different ways obviously
performance is one and I’ve been very
fortunate to win five times on the PJ
tour but you can also analyze your
success in terms of how you treat people
how people treat you
back it’s pretty rewarding to know that
people care about you that people value
what you do that they value your hard
work and effort and uh Hey here we are
we keep extending this journey I enjoy
it I enjoy the grind I enjoy the working
I enjoy trying to get better and I’m
happy to be
here and always so great to be back at
Bay Hill where the spirit of Arnold
Palmer remains as strong as
ever if you talk to anyone who was
involved in the game over the last 50
years you know let’s say Arnold Palmer
was a game changer he was the
king having Mr Palmer’s name on it and
being able to go back to a place that he
loves so much and compete is very
special for us as
players b Hill and Arnold Palmer are
just so obviously synonymous with each
other he created a place here here where
the best players in the world could come
and play a really Elite golf tournament
what a finish for
mroy it is Jason day wire to
wire congratulations
excellent hat just hit the turf with
authority
again at
Bill the field bracing again for what
will be a most challenging week again at
Bay Hill just the way the king loved
it there’s danger lurking everywhere it
tests quality of strike tests patience
as much as it tests your physical skills
it tests your mental skills as well it’s
a place that you get to play against the
best just kind of how he would want it
to be it’s always a great test to golf
which I know he would
appreciate rookie Jake knap will make
his first start at Bay Hill thanks to
his Maiden PGA Tour win at the Mex
Mexico open at
bant and it is
indeed nap time in
Mexico also making his debut at arie’s
place is ludvic
oberg and the sweet swing of lud o oh
another one rifled in there
close both players earned their way into
the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented
by MasterCard via the Aon next 10 which
Awards starts to the top 10 players not
already exempt from this season’s FedEx
Cup
standings meanwhile players like Sammy
valami find themselves in the field
thanks to the Aon swing
five that thing was pounded it looked
perfect the entire way could go in Baki
that close from an
eagle the Aon swing five rewards the top
five FedEx Cup points earners who are
not already exempt from their impressive
play in Mexico and the Palm
Beaches WR down but the one word is it
says your mindset for the
year validate
because coming off of some tough years
and then having a you know pretty solid
last
year Ricky Fowler who has not had a top
10 finish since his victory at the
rocket Mortgage in early July is looking
for that
spark terrible start of the Year for me
never got anything going on the west
coast I’m ready to kind of get things
going back how they were last year
learned a lot about patients uh over the
last few years prior to
2023 it’s been 4 years 4 months and 29
days since Ricky Fowler won on the PGA
tour looking back and and knowing what
we went through and and what was dealt
with and ultimately where we ended up
you learn most from the tough times
obviously make you appreciate the good
times even
more you’re never always at your best or
always um succeeding how you come back
from tough times is ultimately kind of
what it’s all
about and Ricky returns to the winner
circle the win in Detroit that was just
pure relief three years of
just finally got to let it go and take a
breath it really makes you appreciate
when things are good the tough times if
you look at them properly they’re not
going to last forever as well since his
last win on Super Bowl Sunday in
2019 he’s since become married to his
wife Allison and became a father to his
daughter Maya his sixth career win on
the PGA
tour with having my my wife obviously
she’s on my team and on my side she’s
always there she’s always you know
wanting to to help to talk and and be
there however she can I think some of it
was her being there but also me being
kind of vulnerable and opening up 10
months ago he was number 185 in the
world and now back on top a nice thing
going into this year is is being able to
schedule out the whole year knowing when
I we have time off or when kind of
what’s going on with the schedule versus
the last few years that’s just a big
relief in knowing you know exactly what
my schedule’s going to be this year this
year we got to
