as snow ice and winds are covering up a
big part of the Mainland us it is well
going to hit 75° today we’re just
reporting the facts here folks it’s
another beautiful day at wly Country
Club as we have the weekend Chase on Big
Time look at that leaderboard you’ve got
a 31-year-old Frenchman playing for the
first time here at the Sony Open in
Hawaii then you got Ben Silverman there
in a pack just one back he’s at the 14th
play in his third from the bunker Dan
Hicks along with Kurt Byrum and our NBC
golf team here trying to sort this
leaderboard out it’s as packed a
leaderboard as we mentioned that we’ve
ever seen this was just earlier at the
fourth this was Silverman Kurt at the
par three yeah he missed the grein over
there that’s a deep bunker he was
playing from tremendous bunker shot it’s
a little quick going this
Direction all the slope back to front
that’s a good save from that bunker on
the the right stays in that pack at 10
under so let’s check in with Kurt kitama
over at the eighth man great drive just
flipping a sand wedge in there so high
expectations my goodness what a bad
break we’ve seen a few of these lately
hitting flag sticks not always ending up
very well either as that one
didn’t a direct hit for
kyama
on the lower end of the stick he’s
working out a two under round through
his first seven holes with a sand wedge
you know I was going to land just past
the hole with a little spin that might
have ended up a couple feet back out to
the par five ninth where Keegan Bradley
has a putt for an eagle
three took a look took a real good look
as a matter of fact if that should be a
safe four that can happen in Wy real
easily as why never have any give up out
here there are players that we won’t
even see on the leaderboard today that I
would still think would have a chance to
win this thing by the end of the day all
right Murray in the shadows here marked
just 180 yards left I think this is
probably playing close to 170 with the
help got through it nice just right of
it oh that’s a good one there

at a very makeable putt for Eagle it’s
the third round of the Sony Open in
Hawaii and putting it right through his
shadow as Murray yeah I wouldn’t get
this outside of the hole here Mark dead

putt Stevens pushes it all the way up to
the top at 12 under we’ve got three tied
there to 13 Troy mir’s just been hanging
around trying to stay Within
Reach Ben Silverman finishing up his day
and it’s been a good
day that is a 64 for Ben
Silverman this is Ben on for
birdie he been using this long
putter since Travelers last season
and talking to Justin York his cadd he
said yeah he can see some improvement he
say he’s just much more consistent in
hitting his line every timeon now 159
from that first cat ball slightly above
his feet you heard Mark shood as caddy
there says playing about 170 with the
hurting wind can’t afford to miss right
and short sight yourself here taking
something down flighted it down on a
good
line that’s such a controlled shot
really good yeah that was really pretty
I like how he kept that trajectory down
there just sort of eliminated that wind
the possibility of the wind you’d love
to leave it just underneath there close
to the hole obviously
but yeah that would be ideal Kurt he’s
just left of the hole now cutting
towards a good good looking shot oh man
like
that that should be good enough to get
to 12 under five under on the round now
just a formality here for Keegan Bradley
to make it five at the
top with his latest
birdie birdie number six for Keegan
Bradley t-shot here at 17 as always
plays back toward the Setting Sun so
hard to visualize
Stevens in a tie for the lead right now
carries it just over the bunker going to
get a forward kick off that apron and
this is going to be good he’s going to
have a real nice chance for a two here’s
Stevens at 17 this for the solo
lead nobody’s gotten it to 13 under
yet and still
hasn’t so opportunity squandered there
for
Stevens moment ago this was Grayson
Murray’s birdie attemp trying to reach
13
n for the first time there it is that
topples in and Grayson Murray with his
third birdie to go along with that Eagle
at the par five nth other category the
Aon swing five which will be tracking as
well all right
Smiley oh Murray for a three at 15 well
I thought it might fall a little right

but he will maintain his lead at least
temporarily kingan Bradley with a good
chance
here now it should be downhill the rest
of the way this is some shot isn’t it it
sure is
impressive it’s going to be a bogey free
round for Stevens is he going to end it
with a birdie here which would be his
seventh of the day to tie for the lead
he’s kind of chopped it out of their low
yeah sometimes out of Bermuda when it’s
sitting down like that they’ll play it
with a straight face when they have
green to work with they’ll play it with
a straight Sand Wedge straight face sand
wedge and just chop down right behind
the ball and Stevens for birdie to tie
the
lead got it Stevens a third generation
professional both his father and grand
grandfather became professional
golfers so he’s got the
lineage first
cut 93 yds so just a little lob wedged
for his
second there we go yeah he judged it
really well out of that first cut that
lie he knew it wasn’t going to come out
of there with much spin this Kirk for
birdie at 16 just a formality for him
that’s how you make uh it easy on
yourself yeah I don’t disagree with you
at all
tends to want to stay a little
straighter this way just like that
Bradley with a
two and he vaults into a tie with
Stevens who was done playing golf
today kind of jumped on him I don’t
think he was planning to carry it that
far yeah interesting changed sand wedges
here I’m not sure which one he went to
but it came out a little
hot talked about bavan
having the lead and it’s been that kind
of day here at this crazy wild Saturday
at the Sony one of 11 different players
faon is who’ve had at least a share of
the lead
today this for eagle from 41

read p is solid yeah the speed the line
yep and again you look at the guys up
there on the board you got Chris Kirk
who’s at 11 under behind
him Bradley’s uh best finish a tie for
12th a couple
times but he says he loves this golf
course he makes it a of playing here
always had a good feeling here and a 63
on this Saturday spit on over 16 after a
3 126 yd
Drive he’s driving the ball really well
this week doing a lot of things well the
last two weeks he is well another good
one I don’t think he’s going to miss
that one Grayson Murray this for birdie
to grab a share of the 54 hole lead of
Keegan Bradley and just a right to left
put here Dan and tell you with grayon
when his back is against the wall he
always stands up so this P would got a
long way into

tomorrow going to be a huge day indeed
for a guy that has struggled with some
health issues had his individual battles
years ago he struggled so much with
anxiety he couldn’t even swing the club
he walked off the course the sinks
Stewart his wife Le expecting their
first grandchild in February which will
come from son Connor and his
wife next month nice birdie by the soon

Granddad so the 54 hole leads on tour
for Keegan Bradley he’s had five
previous ones he’s won only one of those
but it came in his last win at The
Travelers and then Grayson Murray won
previous one at the Puerto Rico open a
few years back he shot 70 the final
round and finish tied for third that is
the story at the top of the leaderboard
but that’s just the beginning of what
we’re going to see
