right at first you fight you fought with
me about that for a a very long time
pretty much our whole marriage until you
finally caved and couldn’t live without
her she’s good when you get in your
feelings and right now I’m a little in
my feelings after uh an emotional couple
days with pants gate pants gate turn
vest gate here
Ina yeah so why don’t you let us know
your thoughts on uh what’s cooking so I
always find it like very I always find
it very interesting that certain things
that cause a stir in the golf worlds in
the golf media that are not so I guess
prevalently relevant to me like what
like I think it’s amazing what Jason day
will wear and how he can look
fashionable while playing golf but how
upset it makes people that he’s wearing
a vest that has letters on it that if
you saw someone wearing on the streets
of New York Soho it wouldn’t be
a deal at all you’d be like oh that guy
looks great with the fact that he is
wearing it on tour I guess it really
upsets people and I think it’s funny
because you know people are really
really rattled by it and I think that
really shows how what malin’s doing you
know is shaking things up and really
making certain people uncomfortable but
I think in order to have
change become more prevalent that’s how
people have to to feel so and why does
it need change it’s like anything I feel
that I was like I was talking I was
talking to my mom about it today and she
was saying I sent her the Articles and
she and about Jason and she was like you
know obviously these are negative
articles that a lot of them were
negative articles but she’s like but I
really I get it like I get what you’re
doing and and what you guys are doing
and I was like yeah like she’s like you
know like you’re making a change and you
know the
change whether it’s what people wear
playing golf or you know something more
political it’s the same thing like
people feel
uncomfortable by by things that are not
how they they are used to having them be
and so it makes them want to be
combative I feel and so us just even
putting him in an outfit that isn’t
outlandish to us but yet is different
than what every other person on tour is
wearing it makes people want to fight
that I guess change or newness in the
space or you know make people want to
come out of what they’re so used to
because it’s uncomfortable yeah and um
you know I think that anytime there’s
any sort of progressive movement in any
shape or form there’s always going to be
resistance and that’s really what we’re
facing right is like the resistance to
that I think the resistance is like in
me and my feelings is more like we we
started this brand we started um you
know golfing together golfing with our
kids golfing with our friends the
community and every other thing that’s
happened with us along the way and it’s
weird when like there’s a
division of golfers based off of like
what the appropriate pant is or is not
you know and it’s like so there’s like
half of me that’s like
well if they don’t like it you know they
don’t like it and then the other half is
like yeah but not only do they not like
it they get you know they get
upset over it which is like this like uh
we were talking to Claude about it how
people are like you know if you love
live and you then you hate the tour PJ
tour if you love the PJ tour then you
hate live and so it’s this like
double-sided like no middle ground thing
that’s happening even with when you see
Jason wear an outfit it’s like all of a
sudden it goes to like the trolls in the
internet and the comments in the peanut
gallery and it’s like I hate him he
looks horrible mobin’s trash and then
the next guy’s like I absolutely love
this this is the most beautiful look
ever whatever and it’s like we kind of
started the brand to actually like unify
people and make people come together not
divide people so that’s why it makes me
feel a little upset so sometimes but at
the same time like what are we talking
about we’re talking about a vest and
aest a pair of pants but I think that it
shows something bigger in our society
and culturally as as even a country or a
world but mostly a country that you know
it’s either you’re on this side or
you’re on that side and it’s the very
much the same as it’s prevalent in you
know this conversation about a vest yeah
it’s either you’re this way or you’re
that way and there’s not a lot in
between and it’s a a a a line drawn in
the sand I just think that when we
started the brand and what we’ve done
successfully is Expos people
to um a way of thinking about golf
that’s outside of what they’re
traditionally used to seeing and that
makes PE a lot of people uncomfortable
because they like the divide and it’s
like anything like we said it’s like
politics it’s like red or blue it’s it’s
always going to make no one you’re can
never going to make everybody happy and
I think that I’m okay with that Steven’s
less okay with that
so who’s that friend of yours PJ tour
was the tour checking in on us
everybody yeah
exactly yeah yeah um but yeah now Jason
is is I’m like so proud of him for being
able to wear the clothing and be so
confident and I think that he is the
right person for the job uh when we
started the brand we thought like we
always said like we want to be we want
to we want to have we want to have
recognition and and be the people that
have that made a change in the sport by
doing something that’s different and and
opening you know the our perspective and
sharing that and I think this is really
like a cementing moment for our brand
and saying that like from where we
started to today there’s somebody
playing in the Masters wearing our
apparel and causing us causing a fuss
and I think that was what we wanted and
it’s not to be
disrespectful but it’s just to show that
you can be yourself and go play golf and
be at the Masters yeah and fashion is
obviously like a really good way to get
people to pay attention to see like what
it could be Etc and so Jason whatever
he’s wearing it’s like it’s just
shocking to me almost that like a vest
and a pair of pants two days back to
back at austa and like I knew this was
sort of going to happen when I told you
like uh are you sure for Augusta but
you’re like but yeah it’s for Augusta
like I want this for Augusta and I was
like okay but like you know there is
going to be these conversations because
well you thought it for the pant not the
vest not the I loved the vest I always
loved the vest what I guess what I’m
trying to say is is that I think a lot
of it also has to do with the fact that
he was paired with
tiger right like he’s paired with Tiger
Woods and and on Thursday and Friday on
TV nonstop and I think the cool side of
it is is that like I think everyone
knows M and Goff now like I think that
part is pretty much secured and so like
anyone watching the Masters at least
knows it someone probably like every
former president I would hope right so
I’m good with that someone texted me and
said uh the only thing worse than being
talked about is not being talked about
at all yeah so we definitely don’t have
that problem and uh people are talking
and I spoke earlier with the AP uh
Associated
Press and I used that quote again from
uh from Kurt Cobain you know you laugh
at me because I look different well I
laugh at you because you look the same
but we actually do laugh at
everybody you definitely
do I’m a little more sensitive than
Erica and uh uh in the best way possible
it’s a
balance I think that I I’ve gotten to
the like not that it doesn’t bother me
but it’s it’s like I always have thought
like who gave you the authority to give
the opinion here like you’re a troll
from the internet like what why do I
care what you think like and and you
know I care about how some people think
if I value your opinion but like Joe
Schmo from whoever where you are like
spending time on the internet like who
who cares like if you think Jason looks
good like who asked you yeah no I’m not
I’m not I’m not not concerned with what
people think right like I
design and for myself right and if I
think something looks really good I
think something looks really good and if
other people do too then God bless
that’s great that’s very lucky I’m very
blessed that people agree with my taste
palette or whatever so it’s not that the
thing that does bother me is that a vest
or a pair of baggy you know wind rain
pants could create more division in a
sport that the last thing it needs is
more division when you have the PJ tour
when you have Liv when you have all the
historical divisionary type of stuff
that’s happened in the greatest game
ever golf but there is a lot of baggage
that comes with it you know and being in
Augusta Georgia being in the South
there’s just it’s a certain way where
it’s like when do you think you know
when does it like turn the corner or I
don’t think as a society like we will to
some degree like we like the division in
a sense whether it’s a sports team
politics like people like to root for
like the side that they’re on and that
like brings them together with their
other members of that side so it’s like
I just feel that like no matter what it
is like you can’t make everybody happy
no matter what and and you’re never it’s
like you have to accept that and like
you said like they’re talking about
Jason whether it’s positive or negative
there’s a lot of people that feel
positive there’s a lot of people that
feel negative about it but he’s still
being talked about and he’s still still
like making a change I was thinking
about it earlier like this little simple
thing as a vest like I was walking
through the burkman’s and like looking
at all the memorabilia and like this was
the tree that was cut down and this
happened and I was like that vest could
like be something that’s in one of these
places one day as like a moment for golf
right way to think about it I was just
thinking about it like that whereas like
like some things that maybe in this
moment aren’t as important or don’t seem
like historical but like in the long run
of this long life and game that we have
could be a pivotal point and you know
he’s brave enough to wear that and like
take it for what it’s worth play with
tiger get the attention and you know
good for him right whether you’re a

Sage Valley yesterday in the wind the
two of us with uh Ryan and pinkas and
like wind blowing like four directions
on one hole so I was hitting drives High
drives until I started hitting them
lower because I couldn’t watch it
anymore and you hit the ball and it’s
like going right in the woods and then
it blows so far left it’s like holy [ __ ]
it’s going to go on the left woods and
then it blows back and lands in the
Fairway so the ball was was flying like
a like a snake would Slither you should
just have Mike and Ryan on here to talk
about how awesome I played yesterday
yeah Erica had a caddy and the two of
them were his name was kale but Stephen
called him red yeah big red young red
and Erica were making a run for the
course record on the back line and Erica
had to leave to go get a take a shower
and get ready to go somewhere go get
ready for than that it was really fun so
this week in the PM we’ve done a bunch
of fun stuff Erica came in a little bit
later but I did some good times at the
IMG endeavor
uh CAA party IMG Endeavor WME parties
waserman parties um jelly roll performed
at the CAA party saw CC and dwade and a
lot of people were there it was very
busy you know and and um the last couple
days we’ve been lucky enough to work
with wheels up and have uh the privilege
of parking valet which is a huge win and
then you can park there Val and you can
eat breakfast and lunch Etc at the
wheels up house thing across the street
but you have to walk a good 30 minutes
around and today leaving we left with
Jason’s camp and they took us through
the back of the driving saved us a 30
minute walk and I’ve gotten in so many
steps this week that I was telling her
earlier that I I’m getting shin splints
and she said well you need to stretch
more and I said no it’s Shin splinters
my
are splinting into my muscles stretching
not going your bone is Notting into your
muscles you need to stretch your calves
okay he’s not used to it he needs to get
more steps in so a lot of steps between
Sage 3 days out there here and there
back is is definitely exhausting yeah
it’s a special experience though like
the people like are people are happy to
be there oh yeah they love it they walk
around they eat their ice cream and
everyone’s just like in great spirits I
mean we’ve we’ had great weather so I
that’s been fun it’s only my second
master Stephen’s been going for what
many many years right there’s probably
number six or number six or seven but um
I recommend it at least once to anyone
who gets the chance um and then I think
that the food’s good the food is really
good yeah and there’s food at a lot of
the places around and about and the food
is obviously super cheap on property
chicken sandwich you know the cheese
sandwich all of that fun stuff Jr has
been really fun to hang with Jr’s best
he’s my guy MVP of the Masters Jr
walking around with JR how about this
walking with JR how many fans he had at
the uh Masters he can’t go five steps no
people love him he can’t go five steps I
didn’t realize it yo J.R thanks what you
did for the Knicks yo JR thanks for what
you did I’m from Cleveland thank you for
Cleveland they’re huging
yeah there’s there’s there’s
like random older dudes walking up to Jr
and saying Jr I love you I love you and
he’s like oh thanks homie yeah I’m like
damn this dude he can’t go find step
phon so they couldn’t take pictures yeah
that’s what he said he goes he goes this
is great no one has phones inside of
here because if it’s phones then it’s
like everyone’s like can I get a selfie
can I get a selfie can I get a selfie
can I get a selfie but if it’s no phones
it’s just like oh thanks thanks thanks
gives him a little handshake keeps it
moving
yeah it’s nice the best he’s so tall
that basically when people would be
hitting and I can’t see in there and I
don’t want to wiggle up in there to get
close enough to the Rope to be able to
see who’s hitting I just say Jr who is
that and he’s like oh that’s John ROM
John ROM’s hitting he just sees over
everybody and you can’t miss him either
it’s unfair like turn around look for Jr
there he is I know you can’t you can’t
hide can’t hide very easily no but it’s
fun I mean it was a good it was a good
couple days
um I hope Jason makes the cut I’m pretty
sure he cut yeah Jason’s going on into
the weekend and I I guess just kind of
going back on like Jason’s worn our
apparel since January a lot of people
know about it it’s been like what four
months yeah a lot of people know about
it and you know four or five months ago
Jason day and Tiger Woods were wearing
Nike and then fast forward to two three
days ago Jason gets paired with
tiger and they both not my doing they
both come out in their new look right
their new look and so at some degree
it’s obvious it’s like you know if the
century in Hawaii maybe 25% of the
people watch the
century that watch the Masters every
watch every so there’s a lot of golf fan
or not it’s like the Super Bowl first ma
much football but I’ll watch the Super
Bowl so this is the first major of the
year it’s the biggest major of the year
it’s the most Global it they I went and
did a tour of the media center and all
this stuff like you’ve never seen a
media center like this and in their
history they built this tourn they built
this course they started this tournament
and the first thing they did was realize
how important press is so they they they
love the Press they want International
press there’s people with cameras
everywhere there’s computers the Press
Center is one of the most like techy
Advanced put together like everything’s
really put together over there
everything is incredible like the
operations just that Augusta has that
I’m like looking at it when I’m walking
through I’m looking at it from that
perspective is incredible like it’s run
like a machine like the merch tent it’s
like it’s overwhelming how exciting it
is because you just see people like
purchasing buying happy everything’s
clean there’s people walking around it’s
like Disneyland but for golf right it’s
very much just like just so well taken
care of pristine the food and and it’s
nostalgic and that was something that I
was thinking about today when we were
walking through there you know people
are like oh tradition or or rules and I
was like I like these rules like I like
the rules of like tradition and respect
because it keeps us sort of like it’s
nice to have that like the $3 sandwich
that’s always $3 like that doesn’t
happen right and so it’s something that
we
we like because we we can just you know
feel like oh it’s the same price as when
I was five or whatever that is or you
know all of those things and and just
the respect I think that people like
treat austa with that it’s like it’s
nice to see that don’t you think Stephen
yeah and they say there’s there’s no
rules at Augusta National there’s just
Traditions right which is like a pretty
cool spin on it right there’s not rules
there’s just traditions and they believe
in the tradition they seriously they
take the Traditions very seriously right
so um that stuff was cool and like just
finishing up on that topic Green Jackets
like they don’t leave you can’t leave in
your green jacket yeah they I heard
today that when you win The Masters you
can take your green jacket for two weeks
you can go up and go on Jimmy Fallon and
this one and do the little tour blah
blah blah show the jacket go to a Nicks
game and then after that yeah in the
jacket but then after that you have to
return the jacket and it stays in your
locker
to wear their jacket only there like
they can’t like go to the grocery store
your jacket stays there so when you go
to dinner or whatever you you’re at the
club you wear your jacket at the club
because you’re a member it’s nice but I
guess what I’m trying to say is that
like if 25% of the golf world knew who
Malin was knew Jason day was wearing our
stuff have seen Jason’s new haircut if
you will right you get used to a new
haircut so 25% of the fans have gotten
used to Jason’s new haircut he’s played
in x amount of tournaments he’s played
well you know he’s he’s out there
everyone kind of I thought everyone was
already understanding what’s happening
here you know you came with amplifies it
though yeah because it’s the Masters and
then you were we were we were um we were
definitely I don’t know we were thinking
through his outfits it was definitely
intentional to have something that would
spark a conversation right um I don’t
think we expected this sort of reaction
but nor did we expect to play with tiger
nor did you expect for this to be um
again this is the Super Bowl this is
like you could watch a a a one
pre-season game it’s like a pree Jackson
with a nipple yeah it’s the same thing
it’s like a preseason football game is
one thing comparing and the nipple of
