the stars of world cycling turned up for
the 121st edition of bahi Ru ma F Paul
the world champion hoping to win
back-to-back editions and become the
first man in 11 years to win the
Flanders ruet double as as well as the
many other Riders standing in his way so
too was the
parkour not too much change 96 km before
the gates To Hell opened in TW and then
three big sectors a big change to one of
those the Big Forest in W the arenburg
trench having a chicane before it the
try and slow Riders down not all the
riders in agreement but they still go to
the after they’ve been to Mon and all
the other 29 sectors
that stood in the way over 55 km of
cobbles a big Tailwind was helping the
Riders along the
way the year after the fastest ever B in
history there was a chance of it
happening again because the fight for
the Breakaway once more went on for a
while kisper asra got into an early
move it took a while before that move
would be established but after a crash
with 221 km remaining a gap opened up at
the front they were allowed a minute and
a half leani and a couple of others I’m
afraid had to go
home away were haanes tiller oscarin
rovic Haler deont SLO meety and
sitaa but by the time they got to the
cobbles with 150 km to go there was
already action behind in what was left
of the pelan Crosswinds contributing
into it mightily fast cobbled sectors
ridden an early puncture for Kristoff
laort and Alinda King riding like the
wind and riding like a perfectly tuned
Team every single one of their Riders
contributing to their control of the
race once they got to Arenberg they at
the front of the
race the chicane was taken on by no more
than 30 Riders
no incidents
thankfully but Arenberg would prove to
be one of the big turning points
again it showed us who had the legs it
also put a couple of people out the back
never to return to the front
again mat ful started to stretch his
legs Mar Pon would do the
same a group of four came out of
Arenberg at the front
and yasper Philips are the winner of
Sano having a puncture just behind it’d
also be a problem for M
Bon despite those set backs those two
Riders would get back and Stefan Kung
would attempt to go up the road he was
alongside Neils poet but marked by
Johnny verm still 84k to go here and the
race already majorly
selective the Tre were doing the work to
pull Wing back they still had turns and
vat sec to help with the pulling John
Den was riding yet another great
reate and things would come back
together with 682 km
remaining onto sector 13 just over 60 K
to
go ver pulling fer Paul
attacking the defending Champion moving
to the front Mar pson trying to follow
low but the distance started to open
up and F the PA by the end of the sector
already had quite the
[Music]
lead it turned into 10
seconds a huge explosive
move the question was how long would it
stick
for quite a long time was the answer and
the answer arrived up fairly quick
quickly by the time he got to Monon pel
one of the big star sectors he already
had more than a minute 45 K to go that
Gap up to a minute and a half a mat ful
was on his way to a flanders’s rubet
double behind they still fought but
there wasn’t one large team full of
riders to try and work together and pull
everybody back pson was mightily strong
he pull away piy on debut poet was there
as well Kung and crucially Gasper
Philipa
30 km remained and 2 minutes was the Gap
to mat fondul who was on his way to a
win when piy crashed out of the chasing
group he’d do his best to get
back but it would be a tall
task still seven sectors remained at
this point fer PA just knew he had to
keep pedling in that metronomic style of
[Applause]
his another couple of sectors tick by
and towards the final couple of
important
sectors
[Applause]
comp and then the mighty
gaab it was at this point the year
previous that b Paul had pedal
away this time he had almost three
minutes of an
advantage was turning into a day of Epic
Proportions yet again Deja Vu from FL is
anyone
he knew what he was about to do you need
legs heart and even machine to win in
Hub and in the rainbow
jersey pulling something off that was
mightily
special the double backto back in the
rainbow bands and the fastest ever
addition of Bahu a further kilometer per
hour faster and what have previously
been the fastest ever Edition 12 months
ago when yet again mat f had won he did
it in style the longest winning attack
in the men’s race for 30
years the 13th biggest winning margin in
history but the teamwork finished off by
the top Monuments Man in the World Mata
fol winning again in
Hobby behind pollet would try to
surprise the Sprinter
too but P the
and Philipa had his
number and in terms of the double it’ll
be a double double of different sorts
for Alpa Cinder King onew from last year
also one two this year Phillips a second
pson with the first Danish Podium since
the
1800s but MAA fipo once again Victorious
a sixth Monument win in his
career a second B Ru and the first man
to do the Flanders rube double for quite
some time
follow Paul Phillipson pson and poit
with Stefan Kung finishing in fifth
place another special moment on the
podium as Alpa KCK become the first team
to win Sano Flanders and Ru in the same
year and Macho F Paul continues to be
macho

  1. This is the 2nd race in a row this guy rides the fastest race in the event's history. We don't know what is really going on. We don't have the whole story. However, we do know what has happened to the sport historically since 1991.

  2. Well he is the king of the cobbles ๐Ÿ‘‘ his cyclocross skills will always be a deciding factor, because he also is the king of that ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

  3. From Camotes Island Cebu Philippines ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ Venezia Italia ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น say Holyfuck nice Matthew, your performance is great, you are really true Awesome ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”

  4. Since 2019 we are seeing a era of doping especially last 18months. This performance is just hilarious to watch. Reminds me of Armstrong in 1999 Sestriere

  5. January '24, Laurence Pithie races at out track carnival in Christchurch NZ (he's one of our members)…… April '24 – 7th in PR @ 21, outstanding!!!
Watch your back WT peloton ๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’ช

  7. Mvp so far 2024:
    Cross worlds
    Flanders
    Roubaix

Mvp 30% chance cd have won San remo, if rode for himselfโ€ฆ.

    Greatness here

  8. I don't see the point for riding a road bike on a cobblestone path. Their brains turn into milkshake by the time they reach that velodrome

  9. Boring to the max. I am a huge MvdP fan, but the diff is too big to be interesting. I stopped watching when he was one minute ahead.

  10. I barely see madis mikhels name in the comments but that young boy is the youngest top 10 rider on PR this century. Once he'll win this

  11. MVDP. He is him.

And massive respect to Pedersen and Philipsen to reach the podium, even after the puncture and the crash.

  12. Let's just also put some attention on those awful fans who tried to throw a hat in his wheels. Pathetic behaviour. I can understand that he's not your favorite, but at least respect the man for what he does.

  13. MVDP huge fan , greetings from Sydney Australia , pity we never saw the best of you in Woollongong becuase of that stupid hotel drama in Sydney

  14. Thank God for the Ardennes Classics at least we'll get a race and not a procession. This is getting as boring as F1.

  15. a huge performance of MVDP FOR SURE ! but there was to less competition from top riders . Last hour of the race I felt a sleep . Top 5 of the world riders recovering now from wounds . The best man ad the start of the race also was the best ad the end of the race ! If the top 5 are not present , no team can match the team of Mathieu ! Even team visma lease a bike had to puzzle to make a team . Before Wout crached visma dominated almost every race ….
