It just dawned on me that I was at his last game ever. Crazy. AD has been the most dominant DL for 10 years! He set the gold standard and will be rewarded with a gold jacket. First ballot HoF 💯

Aaron Donald, and this is a real stat, was double-teamed on almost 50% of his CAREER snaps, and still put up MONSTER numbers. That's LT territory. Aaron Donald i believe is the CLOSEST THING we have ever seen to LT. I think AD is the 2nd greatest defensive player of all time behind only LT. He might even be the GOAT.
LT(1), AD (2), Reggie White (3), Deion Sanders (4), Ray Lewis (5), Ed Reed (6)…
"Arguably" is a word that'll come up often when describing the Greatest Defensive Player of All-time… Any and everyone can argue all they want but the likes of LT did not player in an era of advanced physical training, super-charged athletes and sophisticated offenses… nor did he play in the middle mostly and attract the amount of double,triple-teams. AD's the GOAT.
LT is the only other defender with 8 first team all pro selections and 10 pro bowls in his first 10 seasons. Only Rice had a better stretch of 11 first team APs and 12 all pros in as many seasons.
