  1. If you can help me pick up 70 yards with my driver I can win the world long drive championship.

  2. I would never be able to hit drives like that with only a 87 MPH club head speed. Most I can get is 235 total yards on a good day

  3. I'm 66 and play to about a 3 hdcp. My average drive is 235 (as measured on a SkyTrak). My average clubhead speed is 96mph, give or take 1mph or so. Keep in mind, SkyTrak doesn't actually measure club metrics, it measures the ball only and uses algorithms to estimate clubhead speed. That being said, my miss is a two-way miss. I try to hit a draw but I routinely hit pushes and hooks with pretty much equal frequency. A slice for me is very rare and usually only happens when I try to deliberately hit a fade. My misses are either a push to the right or a hook to the left. I only hit the fairway about 40% of the time with the driver. I would LOVE to eliminate either the push or the hook but I have no clue how to do that. I will try this technique and see if this works for me. Thanks!

  4. How are you liking that shaft Ali, I’ve got the same one in my Tsr3. Best driver shaft combo I’ve ever had!

  5. I need to remember this next at the golf course, question which is the easiest way to remember stance length between driver to golf ball? Asking because was at indoor golf simulator and sometimes felt to far away to the ball, other times too close.

  6. For the couple of people saying it’s nonsense to get 70 yards – if you think that then you’re not the target audience for this video!
I hit the exact shots he mentions both the low weak slice regularly and high push slice when trying to get it in the air. The explanation about the change in setup and lead leg push is exactly what I needed – now hitting high draws down the target line!! Thank you Ali!

  7. "I'm not promising you're going to make that big a change", for all you criticizing, watch the entire video.

  8. SLOW DOWN, Most Golfers don't have a Swing Speed over 100
Why is it everyone that make a Video tries to teach us what to do with a Swing Speed of 100+

Give us Carry and Total for swings at 94 (ave low handicap) and 85 (aver mid handicap)
    and 77 (avg high handicap)

    Lets play on

Yes, this is a very working system
I have been playing sense the late 60s
    This game is for everyone

  9. The transition seems to involve keeping more mass behind the ball and that makes a lot of sense to me to improve hitting up on the ball. Can’t wait to try this.

  10. Came across this video and thought I’ll check it out. Omg game changer. This made so much sense and was absolutely me before. Just got back from 18 holes and haven’t seen ball flights like that before ever. Brilliant video and really simple, clear advice thank you

  11. When you get yourself in the correct position with your club head that far back of your ball where are your eyes focused on the back of the ball or the front of the club head?

  12. Great video. When you set up your driver 2 club heads behind the ball, do you keep your eye on the low point or ball in your down swing? Thanks.

  13. Love the video mate I’ve been implementing your tips and they’ve been lowering my handicap I’m now a 12 use to be an 18!

  14. I have been struggling for years with my driver and tried this today on the range and could not believe the results I was getting. Hitting up and consistent long drives and no low hooks. Looking forward to trying it on the course, but absolutely shocked with results. Thanks Ali.

  15. What a great driving lesson !! Watched this video a couple days ago and went down to the indoor Trackman simulator at my club today to try it out. My first 6 shots with my usual swing were 205 -215 yds. After switching to the new swing, I was getting 247 – 258 !
That is a great pick up of 40 yards. By the way I am 68 yrs old, so 250 yards is a big deal to me. Thanks for the instruction Ali. Have a great 2024 season ! from Canada.

  16. Club head speed is 100% about shaft flex and kick. Most amateurs lack of distance is due to their shaft ‘kicking ‘ too early…it’s the whip effect in the zone that has the desired result. Think of the images taken of tour pros the moment after impact, the club head is kicked forward ahead of their hands. Distance = timing everything 1 foot before until 1 foot after impact. This may mean shortening your backswing. Personally, I had to change from horizontal at the top to something more akin to Tony Finau’s club head almost vertical above my head with very little cocking of the wrist.
