I really enjoy your show, and I think you’re the best out there above everyone else talking about golf however, when you and others just don’t include live golf and it’s players in your discussions for the upcoming Augusta I mean you just have to question why even listen to any of the analysis is to pretend that Phil Mickelson did not tie for second last year at the masters for example. I listen to PGA radio on Sirius every morning they’re so ugly about Liv Goff they’re so negative about the players it’s really getting old I think that is what’s getting old and people are just gonna tune out.
And further to add the guest you had on today just did not answer the question and just talk about Tiger Woods like everybody does. Tiger Woods does not play we’ve all seen him. He can’t even finish nine rounds. Of course he was incredible but he is not playing and does not play. Can we move on to all the other incredible players. Thank you.
Golf is hard, stats are deceiving because on any given day a player can be off, and FAIRWAYS in regulation are a premium at Augusta! LIV players will be a factor as many of them perform well at Augusta. When more than half of the names on the PGA stat charts are unrecognizable to the average golf fan it's hard to get interested in Pro Golf. Tiger Woods is the GOAT, but like Tom Brady he's done at this level of competition. Sure he's great for the old guard pulling in ratings, and maybe that's all the PGA cares about, but he's no longer a factor on the weekend(and yes it would be great if he could prove me wrong) but I deal with a leg injury from a motorcycle accident and know that it changes your ability!
You assume everyone understands those numbers.
Have to give thumbs down today. All your numbers are a joke LIV guys last year at top and they don’t invite many of top LIV players. All Majors will have an asterisk till LIV top guys are invited. Question of the day should be why shouldn’t top LIV guys get invited. You should be discussing how LIV guys will do. Gooch should be there. Reed and Koepka always a threat 😉⛳️😇😊
Have to agree with other comments. Wasted my time listening to stats which don't mean didly without Liv players. Sorry.
Matt, it appears that a significant number of your fans are Liv fans because your program is objective reporting of all golf as is. But I wish you would really do the entire golf world a meaningful service by continually pointing out that the longer the OWGR continues to operate the more irrelevant they become. No one seems to acknowledge this because it’s not being pointed out enough. Your stats are also irrelevant when you consider this: only Rahm, Hatton and Brooks are ranked higher than yesterday’s guest Eric Cole who is ranked #38. Who’s Eric Cole? Then only Cam Smith and Joaquin is rated above #100 ranked Taylor Penrith. Who’s that? So in their eyes, Pendrith is better than DJ, Gooch, Bryson, P. Reed to name a few. Louis Oosthuizen, and Dean Burmeister are recent winners on DP tour. Stats are meaningless unless you include all golfers.
