Rugby League Legends | Back in the day with Nat Wood | Balmain | Roosters | Warriors | Warrington

On a good day Nat Wood weighed in at 77kg, but he could match it with the biggest and the best with his cheeky personality and never-say-die attitude.

From being told to give up footy after a freak concussion left him temporarily blind, Nat defied the odds and signed with Balmain after a string of enormous performances, and earned himself a upgraded contract with the Sydney Roosters.

Nat had a one-year stint with the newly rebuilt New Zealand Warriors and was a part of their maiden finals appearance before heading off to the UK where he really found his feet at Warrington, where he played out the remainder of his career.

  1. Absolute banger of an interview Dave and a touch humbling to see Nat open up about where his post footy life took him and what meant to him find his partner and climb out of the hole he was in.

  2. What a shame coaches don’t man manage well. It sounds to me that if nat had a personal ownership on his position no doubt he would’ve made a great difference in any side.

  3. I didn’t realise he did all these home invasion pranks before he came to the Warriors 🤣 I heard the Warrior lads say that Nat would do 60kg arm bar curls in the gym as a warm up lol
