  1. These same fans that are bitching were also bitching when Jones missed time and even when he was active he was on a limited snap count for most games.

  2. AJ wanted to be the guy as the feature back. His ego wouldn’t let him take a pay cut and lose his identity as the feature back. AJ could have been lightning as a change of pace back but he chose to play for a division rival.

  3. Health was a big factor. Nothing wrong with getting a younger running back who has proven he can stay healthy and was once the leagues leading rusher. It was a good move.

  4. I will possibly become a Viking fan because of this refusal to let Aaron Jones be Marshall Faulk. It's like we don't WANT running backs to get money. The history of football says running backs win games.

  5. I just don’t understand how they value jones at 5 million but went to give 12 to someone else. How do you come up with those numbers?

  6. There’s also no way of predicting the future… what if they keep him and pay him his entire contract and he misses 10 games? There’s no right or wrong it’s just the way it is. His salary cap number was going to be 17mil and that was never going to fly. Jacobs is young with a ton of upside, he left the Raiders because they didn’t want to pay…. Jones took it personally and went to the Vikings like many other former Packers and it never hurts the organization, it only hurts the fans. I’m over it, the G is bigger than any single player and he’s the enemy now so 🤷‍♂️

  7. Brian Gutekunst is a great prospect evaluator, he drafts good college players and gets them on this team. Getting Cooper DeJean would be great to add to our team on defense and special teams. Tyler Nubin would be a good early 2nd round draft pick but picking up Xavier McKinney changed that. The Green Bay Packers made a huge splash in the opening week of free agency, signing All-Pro runningback Josh Jacobs to replace Aaron Jones. Now they need to give him all the help he needs. From improving the run blocking to upgrading the depth behind Josh Jacobs, the Packers must do everything possible to get the best out of him. While Green Bay’s offensive line played well last season, run blocking was an issue. Per ESPN, the Packers ranked 16th in run block win ratio. Aaron Jones often had to make the best out of limited rushing lanes that opened, but AJ Dillion finished with a career-low 3.4 yards per carry. Strengthening the backfield would also be on the Packers to-do list entering the 2024 NFL draft. They’ve resigned AJ Dillion to a team friendly deal, but it’s no guarantee he will make the 53-man roster. With all the 11 draft picks total we have our Packers can upgrade the running game in the 2024 NFL draft. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

  8. I just hope the Love contract is around 40-45 mil a year. We won’t win with a 54+mil/year QB. It just doesn’t work that way. A little discount goes a long way when it comes to retaining impact players. See KC and Mahomes
