The PGA TOUR Never Wanted this to Happen

The PGA TOUR is now facing the exact scenario they’ve been trying to avoid since the LIV Golf / PIF framework agreement deal was first announced, and they’ll need to do something soon or its only going to get worse.

  1. The irony, for those never LIV folks, is that the greed of the few is the PGA tour, monopolistic, organization and bureaucracy. They have spectacular lives, living off the backs of the players, and yet pay them absolutely nothing. The players have gone to LIV are sick of being exploited by the greed of the few.

The PGA tour as an entity, and Jay Monaghan by extension or those greedy who screwed this up. This is not even a discussion.

  2. LIV could create there own Major and then use that to gain access to the other majors . Leave it the way it is. You can even allow the PGA players in but I don’t know how they would work out the teams for the Majors for the players who are not on LIV

  3. When the P.G.A..merges with the Saudis because of the all mighty dollar instead of ethics and morality, that will be my last day watching.

  4. Ignoring LIV players and abiding by the fake and irrelevant OWGR can lead to Majors fading into just 4 more PGA Elevated Events and it's as simple as that.
If the Majors are not heavily influenced by the PGA, explain why would someone like Bhatia (and a few other nobody's) be invited but not Dean Burmester (who won LIV tournament on the weekend, and 2 tournaments on Sunshine Tour incl. 2nd oldest Open in golf), Louis Oosthuizen (won 2 Tournaments on Sunshine Tour in December), and Taylor Gooch (multiple LIV winner and LIV leading player and on top of money-list in 2023) and a few more.
The PGA is the reason why fans can't see the top golfers playing against each other, not LIV. The silly excuses of the difference in formats is just that…excuses. Each tour can have their own rules and formats. Each tour can have their own ranking system just like the PGA has their own (OWGR) and the top 25 of LIV can be invited to Majors.
You can talk about the 72 holes and no cuts till kingdom comes…LIV players are happy on LIV. The only reason why some LIV golfers said they'd like to go up to 72 holes was just because of ranking points for Majors. PGA has gone to no cut events themselves and it's up to them what they want to do…

  5. 54 or 72 holes is irrelevant as far as the PGA Tour is concerned. They simply do not want LIV to exist and they are pursuing a monopolistic strategy. LIV should crush them. OWGR debacle just illustrates it collusion with the PGA Tour. They are simply supposed to rank the players based on the current golf landscape. It is not that hard. It doesn’t even have to be absolutely correct but it does need to be generally accurate.

  6. Taylor gooch has been arguably the best player on liv since it started but can't qualify for majors, this situation has to get resolved

  7. Why does anyone believe that it’s up to the PGA tour to solve LIV Golf,s problem ? I think Jon is correct if they want to play tournaments the same way under the same rules then you can fairly evaluate players from one tour to the other. Short of that, why should the oldest tour modify for the newest tour? If you throw away the standard format for tournament golf, you throw away the entire history of the game.

  8. 54 or 72 holes. Cut or not cut should have no bearing on world ranking points. Makes no sense. The OWGR is corrupt and the majors need to use a more relevant system.

  9. Schedules for business calendars are not for sissies. Monahan rightly said 'you don't negotiate in public". Filed under: WHEN GREG NORMAN IS THE PROBLEM HIRE JON RAHM.

  10. Either the majors dump the corrupt OWGR and go with a more relevant system or LIV goes scorched earth and continues poaching all the best players.

  11. No way you made a video with 33 and another three and mentioned eclipse and shadows at the same time and even look at the symbol with the thing you guys are trolling I love it😂😂 Yeah, you’re just in the dark as you ever have been before lol 😂

  12. No issues they should invite the top liv golfers to all majors. Better yet top world winning money earners. Pga becomes the minor league of golf. Done.

  13. I recognise the PGA the rest are trying and succeeding to get more money. Money that the fans will have to stump up. I wont pay to go see golf or watch it. In carnoustie it was really really cheap for children to play and those out of work, those that could afford it did not mind. Then the council got control after years of it being run by the people who bought the land by having sales of work. Now it is being driven up by business where it was for everybody before. You can see what is happening when they get involved the poor cannot afford it and the children are struggling because parents out of work no money and it can only get worse. I suggest the same for all good sport to take back from business by that i mean business can run it but they cannot take advantage and money out of it.

  14. Jon says whatever Steve Loy. tells him to say. It sounds a bit like a double standard to me when LIV doesn't even have a road for qualification

  15. I agree that this isn't rocket science… I get that the guy in green is playing Devil's Advocate, but Rahm is right. Cut the bullshit about 54 holes and accept 72. The no-cut issue is mute because there are too many no-cut events in the PGA Tour for this to be the issue that breaks the Camel's Back!
