The PGA TOUR heads back to Houston this week for the Texas Childrenโ€™s Houston Open at Memorial Park Golf Course where Tony Finau returns to defend his title. The American has been inconsistent in 2024 but heโ€™s still recorded a T6 among three top-20s in his last six starts. He also holds a course-record-tying 62 from the second round in 2022. FedExCup and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler returns to action after his dramatic win at THE PLAYERS Championship two weeks ago. Scheffler has won two events in a row this season on the PGA TOUR (Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard prior to his triumph at TPC Sawgrass) and has not finished outside the top 20 in any event this season. Heโ€™s looking to become the first golfer to win three-straight events on the PGA TOUR since 2017. Wyndham Clark will also be teeing it up in Texas. The only golfer who has beaten him in his last two starts is the current World No. 1. Clark also won the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am earlier in 2024 and claimed 16th at Memorial Park in 2022. Others to look out for are Jason Day, Will Zalatoris and Valspar Championship winner Peter Malnati.

  1. In golf a double eagle doesnt exist. The score of 3 under par on a single hole is called albatross. Respect the game!

  2. How do you even work it out to be a double eagle? Makes no sense. Only hear it in America.

    Its an albetross.

An eagle could be a double birdie.. That's where it ends.

  3. Would love to hear the logic how you get to double eagleโ€ฆ unless thatโ€™s as far as they go in terms of knowing what birds there are in America? Birdie, Eagle and Double eagle for anything else they donโ€™t know ofโ€ฆ shocking really

  4. It's an Albatross. The term 'double eagle' doesn't even make mathematical sense. Three under on a hole would technically be a sesqui-Eagle.

  5. Let's think about this logically…

If an eagle is two under par for the hole, then double eagle is 4 under… so realistically, it's more logical to call it a triple birdie..๐Ÿ˜‚

  6. 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 over – Blown Up Disaster.
    5 over – Go home.
4 over – Why are you here?
    3 over – Triple Bogey
    2 over – Double Bogey
    1 over – Bogey
    Even – Par
    1 under – Birdie
    2 under – Eagle
    3 under – Albatross
    4 under – Condor

Hole in one on a Par 4 would be an Albatross
Holeing it from the Fairway on a Par 5 after your tee shot would he an Albatross.
Hole in one on a Par 5 is a Condor.
There is no such thing as a "Double Eagle", my grandpa would be spinning in hia grave if i said "Double Eagle" unironically.

  7. Albatross only, Double Eagle is nothing, the Albatross is an incredible bird, much more amazing than other birds.
