I’ve written it ad nauseum but what the Hell? It’s Monday and I’m in a good mood. Russell Wilson historically has a high Time-to-Throw (TT) number and I think he was 3.06 last year. I think he averaged over three sacks per game because he should get rid of the football, on average, nearly 1/2 second quicker. Now Ben Roethlisberger had a 2.2 or 2.3 his final season — too low — but I believe his career average was higher, say 2.5 to 2.6. It might be the case that Pittsburgh’s offense nearly requires a low TT time although guys like the QB Coach or Kurt Warner would be better analyzing that, and why. But Drew Brees had a 2.65, plus or minus, his last season with Sean Payton — obviously Drew had a terrific career — and I think Russell’s high TT time aggravated the s—t out of Sean last year. Now if Russell would’ve taken his team to the playoffs Payton maybe looks the other way on that stat. Anyways I think Wilson needs to get his TT down for any chance of success.
Cousins has a higher chance of success in Atlanta than Wilson does in Pittsburgh even though Kirk is coming off a serious injury. The NFC South is a dumpster fire while the AFC Central — I forgot the division name maybe — is loaded. I think the Falcons win their division while the Steelers will get nudged out.
