Nick Faldo’s Game Changing Golf Drills

Sir Nick Faldo has won 6 Majors and an addition 37 Worldwide wins. Nick Faldo was one of the best back in the day with his precision and mental game.
But Nick Faldo also had one of the best understandings of the golf swing. What fundamentals people should focus on and what drills work best to develop a consistent and powerful golf swing. Nick’s drills are gold and one in particular, the Pre Set Drill, I come back to time and again. That golf drill has been a savior at times for my golf swing.

  1. These tips are pure gold! If you follow his instructions you doesn't need much more becoming a good golfer. I learned the game in the mid 20 aging alone from analyzing pictures from Faldo in the 1990s and reading a leadbetter book. And i became a scratch player within of months….

  2. Fantastic upload here. Faldo was one of my favorite golfers growing up & I always tried to mimic a lot of his swing positions. These drills are great for getting urself into classic positions @ takeaway, top & impact ⛳️

  3. Far be it from me to ever contradicts what Mr. Faldo says. He is a major champion, a golf HOFer and a tough f’ing competitor. For my myself and many teachers out there and even golfers like Padraig Harrington who is a Major Winner in his own right, the swing is controlled by the arms and hands especially for high and mid handicappers. Learn the hands and arms first then learn the body. Just an opinion. Edited to say that it works better for me and some others. Then there are some who think of the swing totally different and there are some great golfers in that group. It’s what makes the game both confounding in some aspects yet beautiful in others.

  4. Upward setting or backward setting? There is an ocean of difference between these two approaches. Imho, the backward setting is dangerous for most golfers, because when you combine it with your turn, the clubhead will get sucked inside.

  5. I did these drills last week and dislocated my lower spine. I’m a scratch golfer and the consultant says I’ll never walk again. ☹️

  6. I remember this from Faldo’s VHS 📼 tapes. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have paid to transfer them to DVD. Along with Ken Venturi’s and others. Sigh. 😔

  7. Leadbetter is the man! Yeah, Nick! I took Leadbetter's book apart and pit it back together. People tell me I have the vest swing in the club!

  8. Dick Farley of “The Swing is the Thing golf schools said “ the club is either pointing to or parallel to the target line”. If , in addition to that, the head remains still, it is impossible to miss the ball!😊

  9. I have watched hundreds of golf tip videos. This is easily my the Top 3 in terms of overall value.
