Guys..Kirk has a professional record of 78 Wins 70 loses..He's barely over 500..He's been in the league 11 years he's only been to the playoffs 5 times and his record is 1win 4 loses..He's 36 yrs old coming off an Achilles tear…His asking price is threw the roof..His stats doesn't match the money he wants.Besides if we spend that kind of money on one player.We won't have the money to get the top notch free agents out there to continue building a good team.kirk hasn't been a consistent winner on any team he's played on..We lost out on Russell Wilson he went to Pittsburgh. I hope we trade for Justin Fields ,draft a quarterback, and a good team through Free Agency and the draft..It would be insane to pay a guy 46 million a yr and he's hasn't proven anything consistently

I hear your thoughts Scott on Fields over Cousins, but we've never Won a Superbowl before. I want to go for what we truly need which is an established top Nfl QB (Cousins). As a true Falcons Fan you get tired of just wanting, and getting new "tools" in the Draft but not going all the way for the "Goal".
People who have been covering Vikings for years are saying Kirk would give Vikings a discount before he comes to Atlanta.

Fields is garbage, why trade for him to be a backup we still have Ridder. Let Ridder be the backup and actually learn from a competent QB and OC rather than Marriotta and Ragone.
Cousins injury history vs Fields injury isn’t the concern for me. Clearly, Cousins has the better track record in terms of staying healthy and Fields style of play means he’ll always be susceptible to getting hurt (and maybe even severely one day). It’s the type of injury and Cousins age though that concerns me. You naturally lose ability anyway as you age (unless you’re Tom Brady) and an achilles tear at 35-36 is very different from a finger or ribs in your early to mid 20s. Of course, I’ll support Cousins if he’s signed, but this could backfire big time.

One of my favorite podcasts and respect your takes, but man you’ve got to stop with the “Fields is still a prospect” nonsense. This man is going into his FOURTH year in the league. We have around 40 games of NFL tape on him. He can get better, but the odds are much greater that he’s showed us exactly who he is.
