I Spent 10,000 Hours Watching YouTube Golf Tips

The journey never ends and I am enjoying every step of the way.

#golf #golfswing

This is me baby Cho boy and golf has been a big part of my life ever since I could remember it has been over 15 years since I started playing golf and I’ve accumulated over 10,000 hours of watching YouTube golf lessons and you won’t believe what I discovered the

First step the beginner phase just like most of us who’s just starting to get into golf I watch a ton of beginner tutorial videos how to grip the club how to swing the club how to hit the ball South of how to stop hitting fat shots etc etc watching the videos were one

Thing but doing the drills was another L2 L drill weight transfer drill body rotation drill you name it I done it all while I was learning a lot and starting to build a solid foundation I noticed I was hitting a wall I was good at golf

But I wasn’t great I wanted to be better so that leads to my second phase learning new swing theories I like to think of the stage as an intim mediate level since I had a solid foundation knew all the basics I really wanted to f- tune my game and really understand

The theories of swinging at a golf club and doing some more research I went into Rabbit Hole I realized there’s so many different coaches in so many different theories of swinging a golf club the body swing arm swing a swing one plane swing you name it it’s an endless tunnel

Of theories and I tried it all it was a constant cycle learning a new Theory going to a driving race trying it out watching a video trying it out etc etc I spent hours upon hours watching YouTube videos researching I was accumulating a lot of great tips and building it into

My swing I was making a lot of progress but I thought if I work a little bit harder I can get even better nearly 8,000 hours into this journey and for the next step I was analyzing all the moves that the pros were doing to the exact degree with

Arconic Mana swing just a great position there and then as he starts natural flowing I was comparing and contrasting my swing to the pros and really trying to figure out what were the pros doing that I wasn’t I was researching all the greats tiger Rory Jack Hogan you name it

Pretty much everybody and one swing thought later everything just clicked 10 th hours later and here we are by no means I’m a great golfer there’s still a lot of room for improvement but there’s two key elements that help me in my journey the first one

Golf is hard man golf is I really don’t know what else to say besides golf is terribly hard and the most important thing to keep in mind is patience you’re not going to get good overnight and also to be determined and persistent you got to truly love the process truly love the

Journey and truly love the thing you’re doing to get better if I didn’t love golf this much I would have quit a long long time ago I think there’s no better teacher than just experience alone and that just takes time just takes time over the years and by enjoying the

Process it makes things a lot easier golf is already hard as is there’s no reason to be hard on yourself and make golf even more miserable number two be a scientist if you’re a fellow golfer like me who relies on YouTube to be their golf head coach it’s a difficult Road

You don’t have a second pair of eyes to tell you what you’re doing wrong and what you’re doing correct so it’s very important to understand your swing what’s working and why but in order to get to that point you got to try a lot of things there’s countless number of

Tips on YouTube some tips will work some tips will don’t and the only way to figure that out is just trying it out and using your best judgment Bryson D Shambo said at best if the swing tip is not working within three or four balls is time to change I think the best

Mindset is to have an open mind learn as many swing tips as you can but don’t take it literally I mean look at the swings on tour every swing on tour is completely different and unique every one of them have different feels different swing moves different swing

Thoughts and the best way to find what works for you is trying to keep experimenting so it’s very important to learn about your swing what doesn’t work and why because just like that one quote you’re one swing thought away from changing your game I think YouTube is a

Great resource not just for golf but for anything but at the end of the day no matter how much information is out there it’s up to you and yourself if you want to get better you just got to be dedicated and consistent and you never know where the road’s going to lead you

It’s all I have for you today it’s your boy I’m TR boy peace

  1. You are so right. I have had a few coaches over the years and tend just to take on the advice that worked the best. Not everything they told me worked. So I just take the best bits from them all 🙂

  2. Thx bro. I started a year ago and 10% of my shots are striped and 10% are super trash rest is average. The pressure is getting your mind to accept that the average shots you make are what matter and not the best or worst and work on that. Great editing btw. Keep up the good work.

  3. I got a coach. Actually 2 coaches. My second coach’s tips clicked for me and cut down the process by a large amount. I went from 20 hdc and zoom zoom to 13 hdc thanks to him.
