Race and he was right so there’s no racing tomorrow or Sunday at Santa Anita Santa Anita says they’re going to make a one-day makeup card and that’ll be on Thursday the 4th of uh April April 4th on the Thursday April 4th which is next week they’re going to have a special
Thursday racing card to make up for some of the races you’re going to lose tomorrow and Sunday and then they’ll make up a race or two here there during the other racing days so officially Sant Anita not racing tomorrow or Sunday they are racing today we’ll try to squeeze in
That card today and remember in next week is where the Sant Anita Derby is scheduled so let’s hope this weather pattern doesn’t repeat itself for next week that’s for sure but as far as everything else is concerned it looks like that front’s going to move through there and of course um we’ll

Gulfstream Park we’re wrapping up uh aqueduck on Saturday that’s the winter meet that’s thing going to be over but uh the New York Racing Association for some how or another uh has uh predicted they have projections that because uh you know of the closing of Belmont Park
They’re not going there this year that they were going to be flipping back and forth aqueduck and a special uh Belmont uh Stakes weekend at Saratoga and then the Saratoga regular meet they say they they they believe their handle is going to be cut down by 20% by the end of the
Year do you do you view that too no I don’t know I mean you know what makes them think that I have no idea I I don’t know either they expect 20% cut in handle with the Belmont closing with Belmont being not being able to run this
Year Well I’m sure people look forward to that meet but it’s not like the old days it’s not like people are flocking to the racetrack most people bet from their home or from their phone or whatever so you know maybe the product is not going to be good but I don’t see
That happening because the horses will be coming back from Florida they’re going to open up their grass courses uh the second week in April so that’s going to guarantee some field size and they’re going to go back to five day week so you know I don’t know why they they’re
Predicting gloom and doom but maybe they know better than we do well we’ll wait and see that’s for sure but you know everybody just go flips out for Saratoga that meets always successful like delmare is in Southern California and you’re going to have a Belmont Stakes
Weekend at Saratoga with a lot of great stakes races surrounding the Belmont Stakes that weekend too so I could see that you know there’s a lot of lot to look forward to there yeah it’s Saratoga week at the Belmont at Saratoga is going to be crazy I mean the rooms are already
Sold out you can’t get you can’t make a restaurant reservation I mean there really going all in on this and uh I hope they don’t outprice themselves because it looks like the prices are going to be a little bit crazy but listen last week to get into Turfway
They were charging $400 so wait hold on a second to get into Turfway Park you had to pay 400 bucks that was the admission last weekend for Jack Ruby yeah if you were going to sit in the restaurant it was 400 okay okay not general admission but if you wanted a
Seat in a restaurant it was four 400 bucks that’s ni $ and up did you get a meal with that 400 did they at least give you the meal with it or or was that just a sit down a seat you got a seat in a plate I guess you bring your own
Sandwich wow man kind of getting crazy that’s for sure uh it is that’s the beauty of being in Vegas you just walk right in and a lot of times you’ll get C for a meal let me tell you something not only is it the beauty of Vegas but it is the beauty of
Old Vegas and there’s only one place in this town that on this Las Vegas Boulevard that still treats people and customers the good oldfashioned way and that’s this place right here the South Point you don’t have to pay to your Park you don’t have to pay to get in you

We’re going to have took a look at the two uh races for the Oaks preps because we won’t have time tomorrow tomorrow we’re going to concentrate on the Derby prep races but if we were to take a look at at the Oaks prep races which one do
You want to start with whichever makes you we can look at the golf stream one first by the way they’re both the 113 ones and ones in GF stream and there’s an interesting horse in there in the GF stream race number four ways and means this is a three-year-old Philly from the
Chad Brown Barn she had two starts at Saratoga last year and she was really impressive in her first start she ran equally as well in her second start even though she got beat she’s been freshened up you know let’s see how she comes back but she’s certainly the horse to beat
They were very high on this horse as a 2-year-old and I’m sure they’re equally as high as her R turning and they you know they picked the golf stream Elks to bring her back in so obviously they know she’s ready it’s important race for her she’s got to get points here to to
Qualify and uh I think all the screws are going to be tight here uh number four ways and means is the uh horse to beat if you’re looking for somewhat of a price play number five into champagne three Philly from the eian wils three career starts she’s never done anything
Wrong and she has a race over G stream and in her last two races she’s run over the surface so little bit of an edge for that and we want to remind everybody too that the uh the two races that are are going to be a Kentucky o points Getters
This weekend tomorrow uh both at oakw and Gulfstream Park hold 100 points for the leaderboard in the Kentucky uh Oaks leader board and I can tell you right now the leader in the clubhouse right now so to speak is tarfa she’s got 150 but the second horse jod Pride’s got 60
Fiona’s magic third at 60 and everland uh fourth at 54 so you can see that these whoever wins these races are going to automatically be in to the Kentucky Oaks if they want to and enter in that race I was uh just to quickly take a
Look at you know the the horse that you were talking about uh certainly uh the uh the Philly that you were talking about is the 8 to five favorite there and that is Ways and Means uh I read for brown but uh did you take a look a
Little bit of a horse called uh Philly called gun song with John Velasquez riding for Mark henck because of the uh outstanding breeding in this horse and she ran super last time at also at golf stream you know she’ll be stretching out to two turns for the first time but
She’s out a gun Runner listen if she runs her last race it puts her right there so um but again you’re probably dealing with the first three choices Ways and Means will be the big favorite into champagne and gun song will be the second and third choice there so that’s
What it is but uh again obviously all three horses have a legitimate shot all right so we’re taking a look at maybe boxing those three that’s for sure and let me give the folks out there the numbers just in case and those four five and six five and oh easy to remember
Four five6 okay now that’s the mile and 16th the fantasy Stakes at oaklan same distance a mile and 16 for the three-year-old Phillies and again it’s 100 point get her for the Kentucky Oaks so the winter here gets in the Kentucky Oaks no problem if all the parts stay in
The right place and they choose to go there which most of these you know Horsemen want to get to the Kentucky Oaks it’s a very it’s one of the most premier races for three-year-old Phillies in the country that’s for sure you got a field of 12 in the fantasy and
Uh again uh you’ve got in this race there’s no uh really outstanding favorite in the race as a matter of fact the lukewarm favorites my main squeeze which is is 3 to one breaks from the rail Mike maker is the trainer and pavian Pratt will be riding there
Tomorrow yeah the uh interesting and the fastest horse in the race is uh compromised maybe because of the post position and that’s number 12 torpedo Anna uh this three-year-old Philly had three starts as a two-year-old and she ran super in all three of the races you
Know not easy to win from the 12 post but she at least has been the distance which is a big plus here again she’s got to overcome it but Brian Hernandez is a terrific Rider Kenny mCP having a terrific meet she’s certainly the horse to beat off of her two-year-old uh
Running lines and if she comes back ready to run she looks like she’ll be very tough there’s a couple of interesting horses in here number four all things go was a shocker she won her first start uh first race out at 25 to one you know you miss the wedding a lot
Of times you don’t want to show up for the funeral but uh again the horse went off 25 to1 but they think enough of her to put her right into this spot in career start number two so obviously the connections are high on her the number five horse wears my ring Val brinkenhoff
Ships in from San Anita this horse has been doing okay and finally number six badia Tom Amos sends out this three-year-old Philly and uh she won her last race by five at Fairgrounds on a race that was rained off so those are the contenders but again race goes
Through number 12 t tedo Anna uh I think she’s going to be tough in here you know uh Jonathan you mentioned four horses there already of course the the coach D Wayne Lucas has a horse in the race lemon muffin that’ll break from the outside post too with the Keith asmus
And R that kid’s been riding very well at at oaklan that’s for sure his dad Steve has a long shot in this race recharge but you didn’t mention West Omaha who comes out of the Brad Cox bar yeah she ran well listen she’s also has
A shot but how many are you going to use again and she’s 4 to one at the price she’s really not better than the other horses we mentioned yeah but again Cox’s always dangerous he doesn’t send them out unless they’re ready to run and uh
He likes to win races and he does a pretty good job most of the time well I can tell you this out of the two races that are for the Oaks preps tomorrow the fantasy seems to be a race that would be rich in uh possibilities and if you can
Connect those dots I think it’s going to be a good payoff yeah I agree the value is in the oak race not the gstream race gstream race they not fooling anybody the first two or three choices clearly look better than the rest all right well Jonathan let’s get back to picking some horses
For the folks out there today yesterday at aqueduck Dylan Davis certainly doesn’t want to see the aqueduct meet end he had four a four bagger out of eight races won half the races yesterday at Aqueduct and so uh we’ll wait and see how he does there today and uh you know

It’s a very very busy main track today at San Anita yeah and you know uh when you have horses that are preparing for big races like the Sanita Derby and it is an important race because it holds 100 points for the Kentucky Derby uh leaderboard uh you really you you can’t
Miss you can’t miss a beat I mean you know and they talk about that when horses are preparing for the Kentucky Derby along the way if they have interruption in training or whatever it uh it really uh it does take its toll doesn’t it oh absolutely you just can’t
Have any setbacks trying to get ready to go a mile and a quarter in the first Saturday of May against the best uh three-year-olds in the country country so it’s a lot to ask and you better get there the right way because if you miss something you’ll get exposed when it
